"I'm telling you!" Lady Minerva scolded as she slammed a fist down on the meeting table. "Since they've first appeared, they have utterly sent our plans to a crashing halt! These Lancers are bound to come here, whether or not you agree!"
Currently, the Professor and his top commanders and personnel were in a meeting, discussing the recent events.
"Hmph. They have just been lucky." The one who was arguing with Lady Minerva was a middle aged, fair skinned man with a messy mustache, thick eyebrows, and short black hair that featured two strands shaped like antennae in a similar fashion to Yuri's. He wore a black military outfit with red lining and cuffs over a close-collared white shirt that had a green pattern below the collar, giving the white beneath it the shape of battlements, and a maroon belt with a gold-plated buckle.
"Sanders. I would not be dismissive of these facts." Hydromancy berated him as she slammed the end of her staff on the ground with a loud clang, stopping the argument between the two, causing them to return to their seats. "We have been pushed into a corner thanks to that miserable excuse of the Professor's son. No offense meant towards you, sir." "It's alright." The Professor calmly replied to the apology.
"The point I'm getting at is... we are losing this war." Lady Minerva clarified. "We may have the means to use Action Fields, but not the Pendulum. The cards that Dennis is able to provide isn't enough to truly create our own. The only one that can help us evolve our cards based on the reports we've been given is the Lancer known as Yuya Sakaki. But that won't be happening. Since Commander Phoenix here lost him as soon as he was captured." Aster clicked his tongue in irritation at the accusation that was being directed toward him as he looked away from the hooded woman.
"Not to mention..." Gloria added. "Even if we wanted too, we don't have nearly enough energy to activate the ARC-V Reactor. The Lancers have stopped our means to acquire that energy completely." "Yuya could've helped us with that! According to the data that we got from examining him when he was in our custody, he had enough to help us finish the Project in no time flat!" Noro reasoned.
"So, to the baseline of all this, our chances of seizing a victory from all of these losses is all resting on capturing Yuya Sakaki, correct?" The Professor summarized. "Then let's make that our top priority before the Lancers make themselves a nuisance here too."
"That is understandable, milord." A well-built man with tanned skin agreed. He wore a long red robe under a short white toga, brown sandals, and an elaborate maroon collar lined with gold and with an attached orange shoulder page. He also had a large golden pendant around his neck with the design of the sun, and orange helmet and greaves, both lined with gold; the helmet obscuring the man's eyes.
"But even you are asking for miracles." A woman dressed in what looked like ancient Roman woolen palla over a stola with a head ornament around her head that had a blade on each side that pointed upward. She also held a gold staff that had a curved head to with a blue jewel in the center of it.
"Apollo and Diana are so right." Grace agreed with the two people who had spoken before her. "Capturing Yuya before the Lancers get here is gonna be, like, impossible."
"Yeah, it's not like he's just gonna appear on our doorstep right here, right now." Hydromancy mocked nonchalantly.
Suddenly, one of the Chaos Inquisition captains, a woman with a pink border around her shoulder cape, busted into the room. "Mes superieures, zere's an emergency situation!"
"Zeta Captain Chanteuse, darling. What's the fuss about?" Lady Minerva inquired one of her subordinates in her division. "We're right in the middle of a meeting."
"Terriblement désolé. But Monsieur Yuri and Madame Chaos have returned with two top priorité prisoners! Ze traitor Celina and ze boy known as Yuya."
"Really?!"
"Oui, but un petit problème, zey escaped from zem and are currently now running about in ze Academy!"
"What?!"
Docks - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Celina and Yuya were currently hiding behind a stack of crates when the alarms sounded off.
"This is bad. What're we going to do?" Yuya asked Celina, who he was bandaging with medical bandages that they found in one of the crates. "Don't know. It seems most of the vehicles that are used to get to the town aren't here. Now that they've sounded the alarm, it's gonna be much harder for us to move about the island."
"You mean we're trapped here?!"
"I didn't say that. It's a long shot, but if we can get to the teleportation room, we may be able to get out of here."
As they started formulating a plan, they heard footsteps and went silent. A couple of Buster Brigadiers ran past them and met up with a few Duel Academy soldiers that came from the other direction.
"Did ya find them yet?" "No. They're not here." "Well, keep looking! If they free the prisoners in the West and East Towers, we'll be in serious trouble!"
The two Lancers went wide-eyed as they overheard the soldiers' conversation before the Fusionite troops left the area.
"Hey, do you think...?" Celina came to the same thing Yuya's conclusion was going at. "That's where Lulu and Rin are being kept? Yeah."
"Since we're here, why don't we free them?" Yuya suggested. "This may be our only chance to free them from the Professor. They might not be there if we come back later." "Good idea."
Retrieving a pair of binoculars from another one of the crates, they took a look at the towers that were visible from the east and west sides of the island. From the looks of it, there weren't any guards posted at the moment.
"I'll take the east; you take the west." "Got it, but where are we going to meet up?" Yuya's question was quickly solved by Celina as she typed something into her Duel Disk. "I'm sending the coordinates for where the teleportation room is to your Duel Disk. We'll meet up there but be careful." "Will do."
West Tower - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Lulu was looking through her deck as she sat at a desk that her room provided beside her bed. She then sighed. "Just how long has it been since they put me here? It feels like I've been here for years, even though it has been probably only a few months. The only ones that come here are only here to deliver food and then leave without talking to me, not that I have anything to say to them.
"Yuto... Shay... Saya... everyone. I hope you're all doing alright." Lulu muttered as she buried her face down in her arms on the table. It was obvious that she deeply missed her family and friends. And not only them but the times that she spent with them.
"I... I want to go to the amusement park." Lulu tearfully said to herself. She started to reminisce the last time she said it.
First Invasion Aftermath - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
At the time, before she was captured, she was remembering the times before Duel Academy invaded, just like now. She also said that she wanted to go to the amusement park aloud as well. But much to her embarrassment, Yuto was nearby and had heard it.
"Oh, Yuto!" Lulu was surprised to see him behind her.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to startle ya." Yuto apologized.
"No, I'm the one who's sorry, for thinking of something stupid at this time..." Lulu said with a sad look.
Seeing the sadness in his friend, Yuto sat beside her and patted her head, giving her an assuring smile that told her he understood her.
"It's not stupid to think of better times. It's comforting to remember what life was like before all this. I'm sure that everyone does it from time to time."
"Remember the last time we went to the amusement park?" Lulu asked, feeling comfort and warm with Yuto being around her.
"Of course. Shay was with us." Yuto replied as he remembered the happier times.
"Saya, Allen, and Kite weren't able to come since they had other stuff to do." Lulu added.
Yuto stood up, looking in the direction where the amusement park was, or what remained of it at least. "Once we bring back the peace, let's go to the amusement park again. This time, we'll all go together. It will be fun."
"Yuto..." Lulu stared at Yuto, her chest feeling quite warm hearing that.
"But, uh..." Yuto's face became tinged with a blush as he began to avoid looking at Lulu directly. "Just the two of us... is fine too."
Lulu giggled. "You're still embarrassed about us? We're already practically an item already. Even though Shay does not know. I mean, we've already accepted our feelings towards one another."
"Don't remind me! Shay would beat me into a pulp if he knew! Remember how he looked at me when he caught us on one of our dates together?! He looked like he was going to kill me!" Yuto had even hidden himself with his jacket when Shay looked at him furiously during that time.
Present - West Tower - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Lulu softly smiled at the fond memory, before she started to ponder a question that plagued her since she arrived. "Why did they capture me instead of turning me into a card? Why was I the exception?"
The door being busted wide open startled her from her thoughts, prompting her to stand up from her chair. When she looked to see who it was, she stilled upon seeing that person's face. The face of the boy she missed.
"Yu... to...?" Lulu uttered, still unsure despite the familiar face. However, she was proven wrong when the boy raised his hands shook his head.
"Sorry. I'm Yuya Sakaki, a friend of Yuto's." Yuya introduced himself.
"Umm..., okay?"
"Look I'd love to sit and chat, but I'll explain everything once I get you off this island." Judging from Yuya's tone, Lulu could tell how evident it was he was in a hurry.
Yuya extended his hand for her to take. Looking at the hand and then Yuya and was surprised to see that Yuto's face was superimposed with the boy's for only a moment before it faded away. "Why does this boy I've never met before look like Yuto? And why do I feel like Yuto's right here with me?" She then looked at the hand again,
"Lulu?" Yuya calling out to her brought the girl back from her thoughts and into reality once again.
"R-right!" Lulu finally took the hand that was offered to her, and together, escaped the prison tower.
Professor's Chamber - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Leo wore a face of unpleasantness as he watched the Lancer intruders run with the two prisoners he had.
"I never expected that the Lancers would make a move so quickly. However, if we can only recapture one of them, it must be Yuya." "If we can accomplish that, then that monster won't ever return." Leo composed himself again as someone entered the room.
"I heard that you called for me, Professor?" Yuri politely bowed as he asked the man.
"Yes. There is something that I want you to do for me." Leo stood from the throne he was sitting in, proceeding to walk toward Yuri. Once he was right in front of him, he gave a deck to him.
"What is this...?" Yuri looked at the Professor questioningly.
"A new deck that the Doktor is creating. I want you to test the cards. You can add your own cards to it if you want." Leo ordered the boy.
"You want me to test it against the intruders?" Yuri asked while looking at the cards.
"Perhaps. If you think that will give us a better result. Judging from their movements, they're probably heading straight for the teleportation room. I want you to intercept them and prevent them from leaving. You are the few I can trust." Leo placed his hand on Yuri's shoulder, emphasizing his trust on him.
Yuri stared at the Professor before his usual cold smile formed on his face. He then put the deck into his pocket and saluted Leo.
"As you command, Professor."
Teleportation Room - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Yuya and Lulu arrived at the meeting point after following the directions Yuya got from Celina. They had ridden on Yuya's Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon to get there and bulldoze down every Duel Academy member that tried to stop them. Once they got there, they dismounted and Odd-Eyes disappeared.
"So, what is the plan now?" Lulu asked.
"Oh, right. I haven't explained everything yet. Actually, I was transported here with the same guy who captured you when he was trying to kidnap another friend of mine. We saw an opportunity to free the both of you, so we took it."
Lulu tilted her head in confusion from the explanation. "Wait. "We"? "Both of you"? You mean that you came here with someone else, and I wasn't the only one captured?"
Yuya nodded, confirming her theories. "Yep. My friend Celina went to the east tower to get her. They should meet us here soon."
And just as Yuya said so, Celina was seen running towards them with another girl with a face similar to hers. She had shoulder-length aqua-green colored hair in a style vaguely similar to Yuri's with a lock of hair sticking up over the head like Yuya's. Also, she had two light green sidetails in a similar style to Lulu, Celina, and Zuzu. Her fair skin was coupled with her orange eyes, while her jewelry consisted of a pair of blue studded earrings and a black choker with a blue jewel. The outfit she wore was comprised of a blue and white jacket with pink pads on the shoulders and elbows, pink shorts, and white and pink boots that reached up to her thighs with pink kneepads.
"Celina! Rin!" Yuya was relieved to see them, waving happily with a huge grin as they approached.
Rin, who is running right behind Celina, ran quicker when she saw the boy with an overly happy expression that she recognized.
Yuya stopped waving and smiling when he realized that Rin was running much quicker toward him in particular. Realizing that she must've mistaken him for Yugo, Yuya tried to explain but was halted by what happened next. What followed was a hard knee attack to the stomach, causing him to cringe in pain. Yuto, Lulu, and Celina were surprised by the action, wearing looks that displayed their shock and worry over Yuya's wellbeing as they watched him fall to the ground with a painfilled face and clutching where he was kneed.
"Yugo... what took you so long?!" Rin asked the crouching Yuya, fists balled up at her sides and eyes closed in annoyance.
"N-no... I'm... not..." Yuya strained to talk through the pain from the hard knee.
"Don't you know how worry I was? That I never see you again? Scared out of my mind, not knowing if... Yugo..." Rin continued, not listening to Yuya, who she still mistook as her childhood friend.
Celina patted Rin on the shoulder to gain her attention while Lulu kneeled beside Yuya to check on him. Yuto, invisible to everyone else except Yuya, also kneeled beside his friend as Lulu rubbed the latter's back in the hopes that it would make him feel better even a little bit while he gave Yuya encouraging words.
"Is it just me... or are girls getting... more violent these days?" Yuya weakly questioned. He then meekly looked at Lulu, possibly thinking she might be the same. Realizing what he was trying to question, Lulu quickly waved her hands in denial.
"D-don't be ridiculous! I'm nothing of the sort!" Lulu's denial was backed up by Yuto. "Lulu would never do that!"
"He may look like him, but he's not Yugo." Celina finally told Rin.
"Huh?" Rin blinked in confusion.
"This is Yugo's friend, Yuya Sakaki. They just look like each other but are, in fact, different people." Celina emphasized the last sentence to make her point clear.
Rin turned to Celina and then to Yuya before turning to Celina again, pointing at Yuya while her eyes asked Celina again. When Celina nodded her head in response, Rin sweatdropped, her face paled, and she quickly bowed to Yuya.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't know! I didn't mean to do it to someone I don't know!" Rin apologized repeatedly to the tomato haired boy, who began to uplift his head while holding his stomach.
"It... it's okay..." Yuya said softly as Lulu helped him stand as he overcame the pain. "A-anyway, we need to get out of here fast..."
"But how?" Lulu asked.
"We use the interdimensional teleportation device in this room here to teleport ourselves to the Xyz Dimension, where the other Lancers are. It's the only way outta here other than using a vehicle. Since all of them, helicopters and boats alike, aren't here right now, this is the only option left. And I can't use the interdimensional teleportation function on my Duel Disk since I don't have the coordinates for the Xyz Dimension." Celina explained as she pointed at the door as explained the plan to her doppelgängers.
"But how do we get in? The room needs a passcode to get in." Rin asked, unsure of how they were going to get into the room.
Celina then used her Duel Disk and brought up the Hacking Mode function. The others watched in curiosity as Celina began to work on it. After typing on her Duel Disk for a time, the door opened.
"You were saying?" Celina smugly asked.
The others just stayed silent. Together, the four of them entered the room.
The room was filled with tubes and capsule-like machines operated by big, advanced computers that were seen around the room. Celina then pointed to a big machine in the center of the room. "That's it. The main teleportation machine."
Just as they were about to reach it, a black fence suddenly fell down in front of them, blocking their way to the machine.
"Now, now. We can't have you escaping Duel Academy be too easily, can we?"
Yuya and the girls turned around to the doorway to see Yuri standing there with a playful grin with his hand on his Duel Disk. No one obviously needed to ask on who activated the fence.
"Yuri!" Yuya exclaimed.
"Nice to know I'm rememberable." Yuri clapped his hand, happy that he was called his name rather than some nickname or "you".
"Now then..." Yuri chatted as he activated his Duel Disk. "We have special new holding cells for the two of you, Yuya and Celina. Lulu, Rin. Kindly go back to your towers or else my hard work in capturing you would be for naught."
"Well, you can forget about it!" Yuya stepped forward, activating his Duel Disk. "We're all leaving this place!"
"Yuya!" Celina was about to join him, but the injuries from her duel with Yuri acted up again, causing her to wince and her lookalikes to comfort and ask her if she was okay.
"Celina, take a break and stay with Lulu and Rin. I'll deal with this!" Yuya told Celina as he assumed his stance. Seeing that she had no other choice, Celina relented.
The two duelists, ready for battle, caused the Action Field programmed in Yuya's to activate.
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
[Let's duel!]
"Since I've heard you're a dueltainer, I expect you to entertain me." Yuri told Yuya as he drew the first card, therefore taking the first turn.
"First, I summon Predaplant Heliamphoria Mantis(ATK: 1300/DEF: 1200/LV: 4)." The monster Yuri brought out was a mix between a heliamphora chimantensis plant and a mantis. The "hood" of the carnivorous plant making up the mantis' neck, while the head made up the "nectar spoon".
"When this monster's summoned, I can also summon the monster that has the lowest attack points in my hand." Yuri looked at the monster that had the lowest attack in his hand. It was one of the newest cards in development. Reading the effect that it had, Yuri grinned.
"I summon Fusion Parasite(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 1)!" Yuri summoned the monster in Attack Mode.
Yuya blinked. "That monster doesn't have any attack points. Why do I have a bad feeling about it?"
"Because it's about to get even worse for you, especially since I can use Fusion Parasite to Fusion Summon without using Polymerization! By fusing the infectious power of these insects, I'll create an infectious terror! I Fusion Summon, the voraciously poisonous... Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!
And when I use Fusion Parasite to Fusion Summon, it attaches to the monster I Fusion Summoned!" Fusion Parasite reappeared from the graveyard and attached itself to Starving Venom's chest.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"My move then. I draw! I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 Starling Magician(ATK: 400/DEF: 600/LV: 2/PS: 1) and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician(ATK: 1200/DEF: 800/LV: 3/PS: 8)! I'm taking control of this duel starting now!" Yuya set a young magician that looked like Timebreaker Magician, but with a starling-themed outfit in his left Pendulum Zone while Timegazer was put in the right. "I'm allowed to summon monsters from levels 3 through 7, all at the same time!"
"At the same time?!" Lulu exclaimed, with Rin sharing her surprise.
"Swing far pendulum. Carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready... to swing into action! Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4)! Ka-Ching and do your thing, Performapal Coin Dragon(ATK: 1700/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 5)!" Yuya Pendulum Summoned all his monsters in Attack Mode.
As soon as Odd-Eyes was brought out, it roared at Starving Venom, who returned the roar. When they did, Yuya and Yuto felt a throbbing pain in their chests that also caused their bodies to become hot. Yuri also held his chest, indicating that he felt the same thing they did.
"This feeling... it seems that we were right that the dragons are the cause of it." Yuto told Yuya as he looked at the dragons on the field.
"Yeah. If we summon your dragon, it's probably very likely that this weird feeling will increase." Yuya flashbacked to what had happened in the Synchro Dimension.
"But we've endured worst. We can't let this be a problem for us. Let's do it to it Yuya!"
"Right! Coin Dragon! Power up my dragons by 500!" Coin Dragon's coin on its head and Odd-Eyes' red eye glowed as the attack points increased.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 2500 = 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4)
"Now Odd-Eyes is stronger than Staving Venom! Go! Spiral Flame Strike!"
"How naive that you think that will actually work." Yuri smirked with his usual grin. "I now activate Fusion Parasite's special ability! It takes the fall for my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon instead!" Fusion Parasite separated itself from Starving Venom Fusion Dragon as the blast collided with its target.
"But you still take damage!" Yuya reminded. "And when Odd-Eyes battles a monster that's level 5 or above, it deals double the damage!"

Yuri was pushed back by the shockwave from the blast, but his dragon remained due to Fusion Parasite's effect.
"Doubled to deal just 400 points of damage? How will I ever recover? Oh, I know! I'll just breed some more bugs. For you see, Power Parasite allows me to return Fusion Parasite from my graveyard and equip it to Starving Venom to give it a 300 attack point power boost!" Yuri requipped the Insect monster from his graveyard to his dragon thanks to his trap and gave it a 300 attack point power-up.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 2800 = 3100/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
"Not only is that bug back, but it gave that dragon the advantage over Yuya!" Rin exclaimed with worry.
Yuya clicked his tongue in frustration at the predicament he was in now. "I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"You're giving it your all, but will that be enough? I don't think so!" Yuri declared as he drew a card, starting his turn. "Because I have new tricks up my sleeve! Like the spell Parasite Discharge allowing me to summon another Fusion Parasite from my deck!
And now I activate... the spell Parasite Circuit! Now you can't destroy my Parasites or my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon when it has a Parasite, since this spell protects them from your card effects. But that's just the icing on the cake, since they all gain 100 attack points for each Fusion Parasite I have on my field."

"Now Yuya can't destroy Yuri's Starving Venom Fusion Dragon by battle or with card effects. If he tries to destroy it in battle, Fusion Parasite will be sent to the graveyard so Starving Venom can survive. And with that Parasite Circuit in play, all methods to destroy Starving Venom without engaging it in battle are blocked. This is bad." Celina commented as she analyzed the situation.
"And it's about to get even worse, ladies! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon can use one of your monsters' special abilities. And I'm choosing, your Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon."
"No way, I've never heard of such a thing!" Yuya looked at his Odd-Eyes as Yuri pointed at it as he made his announcement.
Winking, Yuri stated Starving Venom's new ability. "My dragon will now be able to deal double the damage when it attacks your Odd-Eyes. Which it will do right now! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, take out the competition with Toxic Roots Blast!" Starving Venom entangled Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon with its purple twisted energy streams and blasted it.

"And now to completely wipe out your entire field. And it's all thanks to my spell, Parasite Berserker! Since my Starving Venom destroyed your Lame-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, it can attack again!"
Yuya looked around for an Action Card anywhere near him. Seeing that there was one several feet away, he ran as fast as he could to take it, but before he could use it, the attack had connected, destroying Coin Dragon.

"Yuya!" Rin called out in concern.
"He's already lost almost half his life points!" Lulu's worry grew as she watched Yuya receive more damage than Yuri.
"Don't worry. Yuya won't be beaten that easily." Celina reassured the two of her counterparts.
"Deck don't fail me now!" "I draw!" Yuya looked at the card he drew and saw it was Performapal Drop Gallop.
"With this, you can summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon." Yuto advised Yuya as he read the monster's effect. "If you summon Odd-Eyes, Drop Gallop can use its special ability to change its level to four and you can summon Dark Rebellion!"
"Yeah, I know that Yuto. But if we do this, three dragons will be on the field. And that scares me. We barely maintained control when it was just two. And it took a while to get control over them. I don't know how we will be able to keep that weird feeling we get down when three of our dragons are on the field."
"Yeah, I don't know either." Yuya looked at Yuto when he admitted that.
"But some risks are worth taking." Yuto then glanced at Lulu, who was watching in concerned worry. Yuya followed his gaze, looking at the girls behind them. "The girls just got themselves a taste of freedom after we helped them escape from the Professor. We can't let them down. I believe in you, and I believe in us. I'm scared, too, Yuya, but I'll face it with a smile."
"Okay. I won't let my fear of that feeling stop me." "I use... the Pendulum Scale that's already been set to Pendulum Summon! My monsters are ready to swing into action!
Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Ka-Ching, Performapal Coin Dragon! Drop in, Performapal Drop Gallop(ATK: 800/DEF: 1200/LV: 5)!"
"How did Odd-Eyes and Coin Dragon return? Weren't they already sent to the graveyard?" Lulu asked in confusion.
"No. When pendulum monsters are destroyed, they're sent to the Extra Deck instead." Celina explained to her perplexed lookalikes.
"So he can summon them as much as he wants? Amazing..." Rin was astonished by the new summoning method.
"Drop Gallop lets me draw a card for every Performapal I Pendulum Summoned!" Yuya drew two cards due to the effect. "And you'll be unhappy to know that since I have Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon on my field, I can change Drop Gallop's level from five to four, which is the same as Coin Dragon's level!"

"That's Yuto's!" Lulu exclaimed. The moment Dark Rebellion was summoned, Lulu saw a glimpse of Yuto's back beside Yuya. She blinked and quickly wiped her eyes to see if she was only seeing things, but she still saw Yuto.
"Yuto...?" Lulu uttered in confusion.
The three dragons were now roaring at each other. Both Yuya and Yuri's bodies became covered in a dark aura as their eyes started glowing. But unlike Yuya, who was trying to endure the phenomenon, Yuri seemed to enjoy it, a wicked smile growing on his face. At the same time, the girls' bracelets started glowing.
"Why are our bracelets glowing?" Lulu asked as she looked at Celina and Rin's bracelets. "What's going on?" Rin asked as she looked at Yuya, noticing that Yuya was beginning to act differently.
Celina, remembering the last time Yuya and Yuri were together in the Synchro Dimension, knew that was happening wasn't good at all. "Yuya! Can you hear us? Snap out of it!"
Unfortunately, Yuya didn't seem to hear her. He only had a look of anger that said that he must destroy his enemy in front of him, no matter what.
"Even if I can't destroy your monsters, I will destroy you! They're protected but not your life points!" Yuya told his Fusion Dimension lookalike.
"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's special ability! By using one overlay unit, the attack points of your Starving Venom are cut in half, and then Dark Rebellion gains those attack points! Treason Discharge!"

"Even if Yuri prevents his dragon from being destroyed, if Yuya attacks with Dark Rebellion this duel is all over!" Rin pointed out, even if she was uncomfortable with how Yuya was acting. The emotion was shared by her lookalikes.
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Starving Venom Fusion Dragon! Mauling Mandible Charge!"
Yuri's cold smile still remained even as the xyz dragon lunged at his dragon. He simply used his facedown card, revealing it to be a trap.
"I activate Predapillar! By destroying my Fusion Parasite on the field, I only take half the damage I would've taken, and your Odd-Eyes is not allowed to attack this turn." Yuri lost both of his Fusion Parasites to prevent himself from losing during this battle that would have finished the duel and his only monster.
YURI LP: 3600 = 1550
Yuri picked up an Action Card nearby as Starving Venom took the attack. "I activate the Action Spell Damage Draw! Since you dealt me more than 2000 damage, I'm allowed to draw two cards!
But because you got rid of my Parasites, the effects of Power Parasite and Parasite Circuit are no more." The continuous spell card shattered into pieces as it was destroyed, and Starving Venom lost its power boosts.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 800 = 200/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
Yuri's smile turned even more menacing as he started to quietly laugh. He looked at Yuya with crazed eyes, which slitted like a serpent.
"This power... I've never felt such power ever before. It's absolutely wonderful!" Yuri said to Yuya, crazed thirst for battle evident in his tone. Lulu and Rin shuttered seeing the maniacal smile and his mad declaration. Even Celina, who had more battle experience than them, was disturbed by Yuri's behavior.
"Is this really Yuri? Just what happened to him in those years we were apart?" Celina wondered as she watched the boy who was her childhood friend and used to be the complete opposite of what he was right now.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn. That means my Dark Rebellion and your Starving Venom have their attack points return to normal."

"It's my turn!" Yuri looked at the card he drew. "I activate Parasite Reborn! It lets me equip Starving Venom with the Parasites residing in my graveyard." The Fusion Parasites reappeared on the field before attaching themselves to Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
"And, once again, my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon will use the special ability of your precious Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Which it will use to battle against your dragon!" Yuri attacked Yuya's ace with his, once again.
Yuya quickly opened his facedown card. "I activate Mark of the Pendulum! Now, for the rest of the turn, Dark Rebellion is treated as a pendulum monster!"
"Why would he choose to treat Dark Rebellion as a pendulum monster?" A bewildered Lulu asked.
Yuya then directed their attention to his left Pendulum Zone. "Since I have two pendulum monsters of the same attribute, my DARK attributes Odd-Eyes and Dark Rebellion, Starling Magician makes sure that none of my pendulum monsters can be destroyed in battle!"
"But you'll still take damage, and because Starving Venom took your Odd-Eyes' special ability, it's double the pain!" Yuri reminded as the attack continued.
YUYA LP: 2600 = 2000
"And if that wasn't bad enough, I banish Parasite Berserker so Starving Venom Fusion Dragon can attack again!" This time, Yuri attacked Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, leaving him with more than half his life points gone.
YUYA LP: 2000 = 1400
"This is bad. Yuya's dragons aren't strong enough to beat Yuri's." Lulu folded her hands as if she was praying. The dreadful feelings that she was feeling in her chest wouldn't go away.
"And with two Fusion Parasites on it, Yuya's going to have an even harder time destroying it." Celina got her Duel Disk ready, preparing to duel if Yuya fell in this duel.
"It's my turn now!" When Yuya drew a card to start his turn, The aura around him and Yuto grew thicker. "I activate the Phantom Knights' Possession! It lets me give an xyz monster a level equal to another monster on my field." Yuto's eyes turned red like Yuya's as he picked up the declaration. "So my Dark Rebellion now is level 7, just like my Odd-Eyes!"
"He's got two level 7s now." Celina pointed out. "That could only mean an Xyz Summon!" Lulu guessed. Her bracelet started to glow brighter than the others.
"I overlay Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon in order to build the Overlay Network! By joining two of the strongest dragons in the universe, I'll create a dragon that's all the rage!" Yuya and Yuto both said in harmonious rage, "I Xyz Summon, Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/RK: 7/PS: 1/OU: 2)!" Yuya and Yuto summoned their second xyz pendulum monster.
"What is that?!" Lulu couldn't hide her surprise. But her shock was just beginning since the image of Yuto being covered in darkness as he was beside Yuya became even more solid to her.
"I activate Raging Dragon's special ability! By using all of its overlay units, it destroys all other cards on the field, and gains 200 attack points for each one destroyed!"
Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon began to destroy all of the cards on the field, except itself. The flames coming off its body and the heat from its wings melted the surrounding area, including the fence that blocked the teleportation device. Three cards from Yuri's side of the field, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and the two Fusion Parasites equipped to it, and the monsters in Yuya's Pendulum Zones, Starling Magician and Timegazer Magician, made a total of five cards that were decimated, increasing Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's attack by 1000.

"But when my dragon goes bye-bye, your monster is also destroyed, and you take damage equal to its attack points." Yuri claimed as Starving Venom's final ability kicked in.
"Not if I discard Performapal Odd-Eyes Elf(ATK: 800/DEF: 400/LV: 2) from my hand! By doing so, your special ability is canceled!" Yuya sent a Performapal Odd-Eyes monster that resembled an elf from his hand to the graveyard, creating a barrier that protected Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon from destruction.
"Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon, destroy Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, with Inferno Fury Strike!" The moment Yuya and Yuto declared their attack, Yuya grabbed an Action Card. "And with the Action Spell, Charge Recklessly, my victory is assured!"

"Yuri doesn't have anything on his field to protect him." Celina then looked at Yuri's empty field. "It's Yuya's win."
Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon unleashed its searing flames from its mouth, directing it at the defenseless Yuri, who just stood with a calm look on his face as he looked at the attack. At the same time, Lulu saw that Yuto's face was staring to distort in pain. His face, no matter how she looked at it, was pale. The darkness covering his body became thicker and Yuto's form started to disappear.
"No... Yuto!" Lulu rushed to Yuya. "Figment of my imagination or not, I can't take looking at Yuto suffering like that anymore!" Without thinking, she grabbed Yuya's arm. The second her hand made contact with his wrist; her bracelet shined so bright that the room was enveloped in a bright yellow light.
"Wha-What's happening now?!" Rin asked as she and Celina covered their eyes with her arms to shield them from light. "You're asking me?!"
Light returned to Yuya's eyes as the darkness disappeared from his body. When Lulu grasped his hand, it was as if she pulled another body out of him.
"I activate the special ability of Predaplant Heliamphoria Mantis!" Yuri declared while covering his eyes with his right arm from the bright light. "By banishing this card, I can summon Starving Venom back from the graveyard and half the damage!"
YURI LP: 1550 = 650
"My Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon is allowed to attack twice!" Yuya revealed the other effect of his dragon.
"Which is why I banish Predapillar to end your turn!" Yuri forcibly ended the turn, stopping Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon from attacking again.
The light then dissipated, revealing the entire room to be in a state of chaos; the place filled with melted holes from Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's attack.
Yuya held his head, a little disoriented for a second; his eyes no longer glowing, the dark aura surrounding him dissipating, and his mind feeling lighter than before. But his disorientation quickly wore off when he heard Lulu gasp. He looked behind him and almost gawked at what he saw.
Lulu was holding a person who was groaning and rubbing their head. The person wasn't supposed to be here physically, in fact. But Yuya only knew one person who had that dual-colored hair of black and light purple and wore a punk-style outfit: a dull green formal shirt, blue tie, a black cape-like garment with ripped sleeves and edges, and dark blue pants with black boot-like shoes.
"Yu... to?" Yuya uttered in disbelief as he saw his xyz doppelganger open his grey eyes.
"Yuto! It's really you!" Lulu teared up. Her voice was mixed with happiness and worry. Happy that she was holding the real Yuto and worry for his wellbeing since he looked far from well.
"Lulu...?" Yuto weakly uttered in a confused daze.
Deciding to leave the question of how Yuto was separated from his body for later, Yuya rushed to the Phantom Knights duelist to make sure that he was okay. "You okay, Yuto?" "Yeah. I think so. It's just that I haven't had my own body back in a while, so it's kinda tough for me to move, right now." Lulu, despite questioning what happened, softly chuckled in relief.
"Are you done with the drama now?" Yuri asked, waiting for Yuya to resume the duel.
Yuya quickly stood up. "That's right. The duel isn't over yet, so I can't afford to relax right now." As he reminded himself, Yuya then took notice that the fence that blocked their means of escape was melted by Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's attack.
"Guys!" Yuya motioned to the others to look at the fence.
Noticing that it was melted, they quickly got what he was trying to tell them. Nodding their heads to him, Celina helped Lulu carry Yuto to the teleportation device. Once the two Xyzians were in the device, Celina wasted no time in prepping it for the Xyz Dimension with the coordinates already programmed into the machine.
"Where do you think you two are going?" Yuri motioned his Starving Venom Fusion Dragon to stop them, but its attempted attack was deflected by Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon.
"They're leaving! End of story!" Yuya declared as he covered Celina, who had just finished activating the machine. As the machine whirred to life, Yuya also added, "It's your turn! If you want them, you'll have to get past me first!"

Yuya's interference was more than enough time for the machine to fully activate. Lulu and Yuto's bodies slowly turned into particles of data before disappearing into thin air, teleporting back to the Xyz Dimension.
After they left, Yuya then remembered something. Digging into his pocket, Yuya pulled out the deck case he and Yuto had retrieved from Spade School. He then threw it over to Celina, who caught it in confused surprise.
"Celina! You and Rin get out of here now!"
"Not without you! You don't even know operate the device!" Celina retorted. Rin agreed with her. "The same goes for me! We're not leaving!"
"Believe me, girls. You're all going to wish you taken up that offer." Yuri narrowed his eyes at them before he began his Draw Phase. Seeing the card he drew, he laughed loudly, confusing his adversaries.
"Yuya, I will end this duel, this turn." Yuri then revealed one of the two cards in his hand. "With the spell Super Polymerization! With the ravaging power of this spell, I can Fusion Summon with any monster on the field, including the one you have on your field!"
"That's not possible!" Yuya's face paled as he looked at his only monster.
"Oh, it's very possible. So I fuse my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon with your Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon!" The two dragons were drawn into the Fusion Vortex.
"Using my superior skills, I'll unite the rage of Pendulum and the ravenous ruthlessness of Fusion to create a furious nightmare! I Fusion Summon! Starving Venemy Fusion Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 8/PS: 1)!"
"That's gonna give me nightmares." Yuya looked at the dragon in a disbelieving, disturbed manner.
"To think I could do something like this, I really am a genius!" Yuri cheerfully praised to himself. "Now that I've got the upper hand, are you prepared to receive a brand-new world of hurt by my new dragon?"
Yuya cringed at the threat as he realized that the only cards that could help him out of this situation were Action Cards. Noticing that there was one on one of the floating boards, he jumped for it. Unexpectedly, however, the board was struck by Starving Venemy's claw, destroying the board and sending the Action Card floating further away.
"Sorry. Not sorry." Yuri pointed his arm at Yuya. "There's no using Action Cards this time."
The orbs adorning Starving Venemy Fusion Dragon's body glowed as it prepared to attack. Purple energies appeared and covered its body before gathering in its mouth. The more energy gathered, the thicker the purplish hue became. Once the energies accumulated enough, the dragon let them loose at a defenseless Yuya in one massive beam. Yuya could only receive the blast that blew him several feet back with a cry of anguishing pain.
YUYA LP: 1400 = 0
"YUYA!" Celina and Rin shouted as they watched Yuya's defeat.
Yuya landed on his back at the girls' feet with a bounce, his body covered in bruises. He winced and twitched in pain as he laid on the ground, Yuri approaching him and the girls.
Reaching for his Duel Disk, Yuya took out Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and weakly presented it to Celina.
"Run... this is... your only chance... Don't worry... I'll be fine... I'll be waiting..."
Celina was conflicted as she took Dark Rebellion and looked at it. She didn't want to leave Yuya behind but knew that if she and Rin stayed any longer, they would be captured as well. Looking at Yuya's resolute and demanding eyes, Celina bit her lips hard and clenched her fists tightly as she made her hard choice. Taking Rin's hand after starting the machine up once again, Celina entered the device with her.
"Celina?! What are you doing?! Yuya will be -!" When Rin saw Celina's pained, regret-filled face, she understood the hard truth: they had to leave Yuya behind.
As their bodies became particles of data, Rin saw more Duel Academy personnel enter the room and approach Yuya. She trembled. She couldn't leave Yuya in this state alone.
"No!" Rin pushed Celina away and rushed to Yuya. "Rin! Get back here -!" Celina was cut off mid-protest as she was teleported away. Rin knelt and held Yuya as he lost consciousness. Despite her fear, she glared protectively at the incoming enemies while holding Yuya close. When she brought Yuya close to her, her bracelet dimly glowed, and became brighter as Yuri approached them.
"How noble. Choosing to stay to accompany your new friend. But it's time to separate you now." Yuri was about to take Yuya away from Rin, but then a hand held his wrist tight.
"That's enough."
Yuri smirked at the newcomer who stopped him. The man had blue eyes and wore quite long and dark clothes, which consisted of a long blue and white coat with yellow accents, long white sleeves, and a high collar that was blue underneath and fitted in with his long, flowing silver hair with lightly colored fringes and white pants. Two purple fringes, left one short and the right long, sided with a green one in the middle of his forehead. His shoes were white, matching the rest of his outfit.
"You're a little late to join the party, Quinton."

Predapillar(Normal Trap): When a DARK attribute monster you control is targeted for an attack, you can destroy another DARK monster you control and half the damage you would take from this battle. Once damage calculation concludes, end the Battle Phase. If this trap is in your graveyard, and you took damage from a battle with an opponent's monster and a DARK monster you control, banish it to end your opponent's turn.
Just so people know, Frost190 never put down the level or attack and defense points for Odd-Eyes Elf down, so I just made them up. That's the only part of the OC card Frost190 made that I can claim. Also, I am trying to make the Chaos Inquisition captain that was introduced here have a French accent. So if it wasn't good, let me know how to fix it in the comments.
