Late in the night
Harm and Mac's Apartment
North of Union Station
Mac turned over in the bed, grimacing cause she couldn't get comfortable. She glanced over at her sound asleep hubby, silently cursing him, she thought about waking him up. After all her not being able to find a comfortable sleeping position is his fault.
Taking a breath, she decided to just get up and sleep on the sofa; maybe that would work in her favor. Pulling herself out of bed, she picked up her body pillow along with her book and headed down to the sofa.

MacKenzie Planation

Sarah watched as Bobbie and Strugis loaded Harmon into the back of the wagon. She wanted to go with him. Her heart was breaking he needed her, she knew he did. Making a decision, she stepped into the wagon next to her Harmon, picking up his head and placing it into her lap. She stroked his cheek. Noticing how warm he felt. She looked up to Bobbie.
"He's too warm, I fear he has an infection, go fetch a pail of cold water and a cheese cloth. We will use this to keep him cool."
"Yes; ma'am Ms Sarah." Bobbie ran to the back side of the main house to retrieve the items. In the meantime Sturgis stood guard over the wagon.
Sarah continued to stroke his face, he opened his eyes a tiny bit. Reaching up her cheek, "Am I dreaming?"
"No my darling, we are getting you help; please stay with us a bit longer."
coughs* "Will try"
"I know my love.I love you my Harmon."
"Love *coughts* you my wife."
Tears started to stream down her face. "I want to be your wife."
He reached for her right hand. "Ring"
She understood, he wants her to move the ring over. Doing as he wished ; she moved the simple gold band over to her left hand. He took her left hand in his; kissing her ring . "Now; wife."
Bobbie stoped when she saw and heard the interaction between Sarah and Harmon, she did not want to intrude on such a private and personal moment between them. Sarah glanced up, seeing Bobbie she Motioned her over. Bobbie placed the pail of water in the back of the wagon, Sarah dipped the cheese cloth into it, wringing it out and wiping down his hot face.
Bobbie joined her husband up in the front of the wagon, "Get going Strugis, we have to be fast."
"Yes Ma'am." Strugis cracked the rains and the horses took off.
Sarah continued to wipe down Harmon's face and neck with the cheese cloth, all while keeping a watchful eye around as they traveled to Doc Boones house. Every once in a while Bobbie would glance back at the couple. For the life of her; she didn't understand why Sarah would throw away her life for a Union Soldier. Knowing that it wasn't her place to judge or ask; she just turned her attention back to the road.
Sarah jump slightly when the wagon came to a sudden stop. She looked up to see soldiers headed their way. Suddenly she was terrified, she had no clue what was about to take place.
Early Morning
Harm and Mac's Apartment
North of Union Station
Harm stirred in the bed, shifting trying to find a comfortable position to lay in. Reaching out; he went to pull his wife next to him, only to be met with a cold spot where a warm body should be. This alarmed him;he sat upright in the bed, looking around the dark room, not finding her anywhere in sight, he got up out of bed; making his way to the top of the stairs.
That's when he spotted her; she appeared to have been reading. Now it looked like she had fallen back asleep, he made his way down to the living-room. He thought about picking her up and carrying her back up to the bed. However waking her up without warning never has worked out good in the past. So he gently taped her on her arm.
Mac half way opened her eyes. Letting out a big yawn as she did, she blinked trying to focus. That's when she saw Harm leaning over her smiling, "what's with the grin Captain?"
"I just happen to think you look cute all laid out here."
"Well I'd much rather be in bed; but your off-spring have a different option of night and day. Plus they seem to like it better down here."
Harm lended down placing his lips on her exposed abdomen, "Hey kiddos; it's daddy, you've both got to start being nicer to mommy. You need to let her sleep; she needs her rest to keep you both healthy and strong. So be good babies for daddy."
Mac smiled as she listened to Harm, she knew he is going to make such a good daddy, she'd known this for years, watching how he interacted with The Roberts Children and the way he took care of Dar-Lin Louis. She reached and ran her hand through his messed up hair.
He looked up into her beautiful brown eyes. She just smiled at him; they didn't need to exchange words to know what they were thinking about; they'd always seem to be able to read each other pretty good, and now over time their bond has grown deeper. He stood up and reached for her hand, helping her to stand.
"Easy does it Marine." She glared at him.
"That's easier said than done. My center of gravity has shifted somewhat."
"Don't you worry; The Navy has your back."
Glancing to look at him - "Well it's the navy's fault that I'm in this predicament."
Harm threw his hands up- "All I did was hold up our deal"
"Yes; that's true, but I do believe it was for 1 not 2!"
"Hey can't blame a guy for being an overachiever."
"In this case I can; however I'm willing to except the outcome." She said as she started waddling up towards their bedroom."Hey Rabb; grab the book on your way up.It's your turn to read to us."
