Chapter 45: Peace Reigns

Hordak was in the girls room brushing Rey's hair.

Hordak was making sure to get all the tangles out, so it would be easier to get her buns back up.

Rey had just taken a bath.

"Ow", Rey cried out as Hordak had pulled too hard on her hair with the hairbrush.

"Sorry sweety", Hordak said as he pats his daughter's head to soothe the pain.

She asked, "why does hair tangle so easily? It hurts."

Hordak said, "that's just the way it is, sweety."

Rey winced in pain as her father brushed her hair.

He said, "just bear with it. I'm almost done. You wanna keep your hair from getting tangled, or it gets more painful when we brush your hair."

Rey nodded as she steeled her nerves.

Soon Hordak was done and he was braiding Rey's hair.

He said, "good work honey. I'm proud of you for staying still."

Rey looked in the mirror to see her usual 3 bun hairstyle.

"Thanks PaPa", Rey said with a smile as she hugged Hordak.

Hordak hugged her back and said, "you're welcome, my little one."

….

Sam was in Aiden's room.

Sam was playing with his son who was in the playpen.

"My little Angel…. You're so cute", Sam cooed to his baby boy.

Aiden was bouncing around as he held the gate, smiling at his father.

Sam then saw Aiden…. Trying to stand up.

Aiden fell back down.

"No, don't give up my son…. You can do it...", Sam said with a smile on his face.

Aiden kept grunting as he tried to pull himself up to his feet.

Aiden then stood up on his feet and he tried to walk over to his dad.

Sam held out his arms and said, "come on buddy! You can do it!"

Aiden tripped again, but he didn't give up and he once again stood up.

Aiden slowly walked over to Sam.

Sam said, "come on buddy. You can do it! Come on!"

Aiden kept slowly walking to the gate of the playpen and soon…. He made it to his dad's arms.

Sam cried tears of joy as he picked up Aiden and hugged him close to his chest.

He said, "well done my little one! You took your first steps! I'm so proud of you. I can't wait to tell the others about this!"

"Daddy", Aiden squealed.

Sam smiled even more.

Sam said, "come on buddy. Let's go find your other daddy and your siblings."

Sam walked out of Aiden's room and he found the rest of his family in the living room.

He said, "guys, guys! Guess what?"

Hordak asked, "what?"

"Aiden took his first steps", Sam squealed.

Everyone instantly got to their feet and said, "really?!"

Sam placed Aiden on the ground.

Aiden then saw Hordak and he giggled as he tried to stand up.

Sam said, "that's right buddy. Come on. You can do it. Walk to daddy."

Aiden managed to get to his feet, and started trying to wobble to Hordak.

Hordak knelt down as Aiden wobbled to his dad.

Aiden nearly tripped, but he was able to stand up again.

Hordak said, "that's it. Come on Aiden. You can do it."

Aiden waddled towards Hordak, holding his little arms out to his dad as he got closer.

Aiden then made it to Hordak and he picked up Aiden, kissing his forehead.

"I'm so proud of you, my little imp", Hordak smiled.

"Mama", Aiden squealed.

Everyone grew wide-eyed at hearing that.

Leia asked, "did…. Did Aiden just say…?"

Aiden giggled, "Mama!"

Luke said, "Aiden has said his second word!"

Rey said, "and it's-"

"Mama", Aiden cooed.

Sam shrugged and said, "well, like father like son."

"Mama! Mama", Aiden squealed as he hugged Hordak.

Hordak blushed.

Sam said, "funny, and most would say I'm the mom in our relationship, and you're the dad."

Hordak said, "apparently not this little one."

Aiden then seemed to be planting kisses on Hordak's cheek.

"Awwwww", Leia said in awe.

"That's so cute", Rey squealed.

Grogu cooed.

Sam chuckled as he went to stand right next to his husband.

Aiden smiled a toothless smile at his parents.

"Awwww", Sam said as he kissed Aiden's forehead.

"Dada", Aiden giggled.

Hordak chuckled as Aiden kissed his cheek and said, "Mama."

"We love you, little imp", Hordak said.

Hordak and Sam hugged their son as the kids joined in.

….

Coruscant.

'Natalie Wren' was in her office preparing for the negotiations with the Kaminoans.

Prime and Ashla, along with Ahsoka and Leon, walked inside.

"We've made sure the outside and inside of the building is secured", Prime said.

"Thank you for the help... Also, I wanted to congratulate you two", 'Natalie' said to Prime and Ashla.

Leon asked, "how are things going with the clones, Prime?"

Prime said, "great. My clones have become well adjusted to life on Coruscant as they join most of the work forces. And many of them are stationed as guards at the Senate. It's been a great help dealing with a pregnant wife after all."

Yep, Ashla was now pregnant, with twins no less!

'Natalie' said, "very good. I'm glad to see some of our most important members of the Jedi and Senate in good health and spirits."

A handmaiden was setting up the table.

Ahsoka asked, "how are things going with you Chancellor?"

'Natalie' said, "it's been a bit of an adjustment. I've made sure the power doesn't go to my head."

Leon then noticed something odd on the table.

Leon said as he walked over to the table, "I have a question, Chancellor?"

'Natalie', "what is it?"

Leon said, "what's that thing you have on the table right there?"

The others looked to see what it was.

It was…. A smoke bomb.

"Get down", Ahsoka shouted.

The bomb went off and then the sound of blaster fire was heard.

Leon quickly grabbed 'Natalie' and jumped over the table.

Leon looked to see it was the handmaiden firing at them.

Leon asked, "is she on the guest list?"

'Natalie' said, "no. It's an assassin! Take her alive! We need answers!"

'Natalie' pulled out a blaster to stun the handmaiden.

But she dodged it.

Leon then jumped from behind the table and activated his lightsaber.

The assassin fired at Leon, who deflected the shots with his lightsaber.

The shots hit the assassin in the shoulder causing her to fall to the ground.

Leon approached her and she removed her outfit…. Revealing herself to be a Clawdite.

The Assassin pressed a button.

"Leon, there's a bomb", 'Natalie' shouted.

"Send it to me", Ahsoka shouted.

Leon sent the bomb to Ahsoka, who quickly used the force to break the glass of the window, and threw it out, where it exploded in midair!

The Assassin then started to run and just as she made it to the door….

Prime quickly punched her in the face knocking her out!

Prime looked to the guards and said, "get this woman to a prison cell. And have every guard scour the building for any more assassins."

The guards quickly cuffed the Assassin and led her out of the room.

"I can only guess Vader sent her", Ashla said with a frown on her face.

"No doubt about it", Leon said.

'Natalie' was trying to tidy up her desk as she said, "how a monster like that used to be Anakin Skywalker, still eludes me."

Ashla asked, "how do you know?"

'Natalie' was silent for a moment before saying, "I encountered him once or twice on different planets. It was far before I became a Mandolorian foundling."

"I can understand…. It's so hard to believe Anakin has turned into a monster", Leon said.

"Now all we can do is find him and arrest him for all the crimes he has done", Ahsoka said.

'Natalie' said, "indeed. Vader is public enemy number one. Once the Empire has finally been taken care of, hopefully the New Republic can move on from all of this."

….

Etheria

"Things are looking great", Micah said.

Adora and Catra had gone to visit Etheria as the New Republic were now building a spaceport on the planet.

"I agree as well", Castaspella said with a smile on her face.

Spinerrella said, "agreed. Etheria just got a little closer to the rest of the galaxy."

Netossa said, "right you are honey."

"Now it will be easier for those who wish to visit Etheria and those who wish to visit the other planets of the galaxy", Catra said with a smile.

"A few people on Etheria have left for Coruscant", Castaspella said.

"Yeah, it's because some of their children turned out to be force sensitive", Adora said as she stood next to Catra.

Catra said, "and don't forget, Scorpia and Perfuma are staying on Kamino to see if they can have their own child like how Sam and Hordak had Aiden."

Netossa asked, "and are you two gonna do the same thing?"

"Yes, but once we feel we are ready", Catra said.

"Besides, I already have two children to look after", Adora said with a smile on her face.

Netossa asked, "speaking of which, how are the kids doing?"

"They are doing great…. The Jedi are building a temple on Naboo, so Sam and Hordak can teach them there rather than take them all the way to Coruscant", Adora said with a smile on her face.

Catra said, "and it seems like those kids are growing up so fast. Aiden's already begun to talk and walk, albeit only a little."

"Well now that galaxy is a much safer place…. Sam and his Family can relax a bit", Adora said with a smile on her face.

The rest of them smiled as well.

….

Naboo.

"Mama", Aiden squealed as he was in his playpen with BB8 and Hamill.

Hordak said, "no, I'm daddy. Daddy. Not mom. I'm not even a woman."

Aiden only said, "Mama."

Hordak sighed.

"I have to admit…. I thought Aiden would call you dad and me Mama", Sam giggled.

Hordak said, "I believe that's called subverting expectations."

Aiden giggled as he hugged Hordak.

"Mama", Aiden giggled.

Hordak could only sigh as he held his son.

Aiden then started to point to his mouth.

Sam asked softly, "are you hungry?"

Aiden cooed.

"I'll go prepare your bottle", Sam said as he kissed Aiden's forehead.

Sam walked off as Hordak held his son in his arms as he continued to say, "Mama."

Hordak sighed but then he smiled as he kissed Aiden's forehead.

He said, "my little imp…. Let's hope you give me a better nickname one day."

Aiden giggled.

"I'm back", Sam said.

Hordak then handed Aiden to Sam.

"Dada", Aiden said with a smile.

Sam then started to feed Aiden.

He said, "there ya go buddy. Drink up the blue milk."

Aiden kept on drinking the milk until he was finished.

Sam then placed Aiden on his shoulder and he pats his back.

Aiden let out a burp.

Sam smiled as he held his son in front of him.

And then Aiden suddenly let out a burp that nearly shook the room.

Sam and Hordak once again had shocked looks on their faces.

"I hope that the burping isn't genetic. Come on, time to put you to sleep Aiden", Sam said softly.

Aiden then started to cry when Sam tried to place him in his crib.

Sam asked as he rocked Aiden back and forth, "what's wrong my little angel?"

"Dada! Mama", Aiden cried.

"I guess he wants to stay with us for the night in our room", Sam chuckled softly.

Hordak said, "then let's bring him in. Come on."

The parents took their son to their room and placed him between them on his stomach, the infant snuggling into the blankets.

Hordak then put a pacifier in Aiden's mouth.

Aiden then hugged the blankets close to him.

Sam whispered, "good night my little angel."

Hordak whispered, "good night my little imp."

Sam and Hordak then kissed each other on the lips.

Soon they broke the kiss.

They fell asleep with their son snuggled in between them, like silent protectors….
