Chapter 46: Welcome to Planet Eternia
Adora along with Catra, Leon and Ahsoka had been sent to investigate a planet.
Catra had just walked into the room she shared with Adora on the ship, and saw her giving a very thoughtful look.
Catra asked, "what's wrong Adora?"
Adora replied, "I dunno. I keep getting a strange feeling about this planet. Something seems very familiar about it."
Catra asked, "like what?"
Adora said, "I dunno…."
….
We later see the ship landing upon this new planet. It looked like Etheria, but with a darker tone to the colors around them.
"This planet looks like….", Ahsoka said.
Leon finished, "like Etheria?"
Adora, "this must be why it felt so familiar to me…."
That's when they heard something approaching them!
Everyone stood together, and we're shocked by what they saw.
It was a rather large man in barbarian-esque attire, riding atop a green tiger with red armor! He had short spiked blonde hair, and a sword on his back!
Catra asked, "who is that?"
The man said, "greetings. I am Adam, Prince of Eternia. The people I protect call me: He-Man. And this is Cringer, aka; Battle Cat, My fearless friend. Who are all of you?"
Adora then stepped forward.
She said, "I am Adora. Protector of Etheria. I am known as She-Ra. And these are my friends, Ahsoka and Leon, and my girlfriend, Catra."
Adam asked, "wait…. You said your name was Adora?!"
"Yes…. My friends and I were sent by the New Republic", Adora said.
Adam got off of Cringer and looked at Adora, as if studying her face, before he gained a shocked look and said, "dear God. It is you."
Adam then hugged Adora in a bear crushing hug.
Adam yelled, "I can't believe it's you! I thought I'd never see you again!"
Adora said, "urk! Choking! Not breathing!"
Adam let got of her and said, "oh, sorry, sorry."
Adora asked, "what was that all about? Who am I to you?"
Leon asked, "how do you know Adora?"
Adam said, "oh, my apologies. I suppose you wouldn't know about me. Many years ago, my baby sister was stolen. A little girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, and her name…. Was Adora."
The others gasped.
Adora asked with a few tears in her eyes, "wait then does that mean…. I'm…. You're my…?"
"Yes…. I'm your brother", Adam smiled.
Adora looked completely shocked as Catra held her shoulders in comfort.
Adam said, "we didn't know if we'd ever see you again. But our family and my friends never gave up the search! Please, you have to meet them! You're all invited to our kingdom!"
Adora sobbed as she hugged her brother.
"I missed you, Adora", Adam said with tears in his eyes.
Adora said, "finally! I thought I would never find my family!"
"Well, let's head to the kingdom…. Mom and dad will be happy to see you", Adam smiled.
Cringer asked, "who are the others?"
"I'm Leon and this is my wife Ahsoka Tano, we're Jedi masters sent by the New Republic", Leon said as he bowed.
Adam said, "New Republic? Jedi? You got a lot of explaining to do on the way."
"Well, let's go", Adora said as she hopped onto Swift Wind.
Leon and Ahsoka got on the ship and began to follow Adam and Adora.
"Well, I'll start from the very beginning...", Adora said.
….
1 hour later...
Adam was shocked to hear the of everything about the Jedi, New Republic, and the adventures his long lost sister had gone on.
Adam asked, "okay…. First you can turn into a warrior called She-Ra…. Second…. You took on the family name of Skywalker?"
Adora replied, "before I met Sam and his family, I didn't have a name to call my own. After everything I went through with them, I felt like I was part of the family. And they allowed me to take the name, Adora Skywalker."
Adam smiled.
"Also, I may not have children of my own yet…. But I see Luke and Leia as if they were my own children", Adora smiled.
Adam smiled and said, "I'm proud of you little sister. You've managed to build a beautiful life for yourself."
Adora asked, a bit nervous, "what is our family's last name, Adam? Would they be okay if I still take the name of Adora Skywalker?"
Adam said, "Mandarakdor. That's our family name. But I believe our parents would approve of the name you took for yourself."
"Now, it's your turn to tell me more about Eternia and your adventures", Adora said as she smiled.
Adam said, "oh. Now that's a lot. A few years ago, my kingdom was at war with the kingdom of Snake Mountain. That was until the Sorceress, the kingdom's most powerful magic user, created a magic sword to be wielded by a protector. I one day held aloft the magic sword and said, 'by the power of GraySkull', and became He-Man, The most powerful man in the universe. I fought many battles with my friends, The Sorceress, her husband; Man in Arms, their daughter, my fiance; Teela, Orko, a magical imp, and Cringer. Eventually, we were able to broker a peace between the other kingdom. So now their leader, Skeletor, his wife, Evelyn, and their people, help us in protecting everything."
Adora asked, "that's amazing…. So this Skeletor and his army are now good guys?"
Adam said, "indeed. It took many battles before they joined up with us."
Catra chuckled and said, "that sounds very familiar."
"Speaking of which, today at the castle and town…. There is a festival going on…. It will be a perfect time for us to announce your return", Adam said.
"That's great", Adora said with a smile on her face.
"Now we just need to inform the New Republic about this planet joining our side", Catra smiled.
"We just need to find a senator for this planet", Swift Wind said.
Adam said, "I think I have just the person. Teela. She's a very strong and capable person, and she made sure the entire royal guard was cleaned up."
"That sounds great", Catra said.
"I can see a castle up ahead", Adora said.
Adam smiled, he couldn't wait for the others to see Adora and her new friends.
...
Later, inside the castle.
Randor asked as he and the others had their eyes covered, "well Adam…. We've done as you ask…. Now where's the surprise?"
Adam said, "my friends, family. I have amazing news! News I don't think any of you will believe! May I present…."
The others all uncovered their eyes as Adora stood by her brother.
"... My sister! Adora", Adam said.
"By the ancients", Man at Arms gasped.
"Adora", Marlena gasped with tears in her eyes.
"Mother! Father", Adora cried as she ran towards her parents and embraced both of them in a huge hug.
Orko, the floating imp in the big red sweater, purple scarf and red pointed hat, said, "holy moly Adam. You actually found your sister?"
Adam said, "yes. She and her friend's here, Leon, Ahsoka, and Catra, came here to see if the people of Eternia would join a government known as the New Republic."
Evelyn asked, "the New Republic?"
"We will explain everything from the start", Leon said with a smile on his face.
Teela said, "I hope so. What's next, magic men with laser swords?"
Ahsoka said, "actually, yes…."
….
One explanation later….
"And that's the story", Adora said.
Marlena said, "oh, my poor baby. You've been through so much."
Adora said, "yeah…. But I had people to be there for me."
"The Skywalker family…. And the Jedi", Randor said.
Adora said, "and Catra. All of them were there for me. Set me on the right path and helped me deal with all of it."
"And which is why we ask you to join the New Republic…. We fear Vader and the Imperials might try to seize control of this planet", Ahsoka said.
Randor said, "our people would be happy to join this New Republic."
Teela said, "and I'd be glad to take the role of senator."
"Thank you", Leon smiled.
"No worries", Skeletor, the man with a literal skull for a head, said.
Randor said, "but for now, we should celebrate! This festival is about to get even more happy!"
"Yeah", everyone shouted.
"I'll go inform the Chancellor and the Jedi Order", Ahsoka said.
"This Jedi Order…. They sound so amazing and powerful", Skeletor said.
Leon said, "they are. And with the way the order has changed, they are truly something to admire."
"The order may even build a Jedi Temple here on Eternia to teach the future generation of Jedi", Adora said.
Marlena said, "we would be honored to help a group so admired and respected."
"Let's inform the kingdom of Adora's return", Adam said with a smile on his face.
Leon and Ahsoka were led by Orko to Castle Grayskull.
He explained, "Castle Grayskull. One of the most important places in Eternia. The Sorceress conducts all of her magic there."
"Woah…. This looks amazing", Ahsoka said in awe.
"I can't wait to meet her", Leon said.
Orko said, "oh, she's a vision of beauty, and one of the most powerful people in the kingdom. I wish my own magic were as powerful."
"If you just keep training it will happen", Ahsoka said with a smile.
Orko then led them inside the Castle.
He yelled, "Mistress? Hello?"
Leon asked, "Mistress?"
Orko said, "it's, uh, easier than saying Sorceress most of the time."
"Welcome to Castle Grayskull."
The Sorceress then appeared in front of them.
Leon and Ahsoka were shocked by her beauty. She was a striking older woman with an outfit that looked similar to a bird.
She walked over to Orko and kissed the top of his hat and said, "hello Orko. It's great to see you."
Leon was thinking, 'I'm a married man. I'm a married man.'
Ahsoka thought similarly, 'I'm a married woman. I'm a married woman…. Wait, why am I attracted to her?!'
The Sorceress asked, "who are your new friends Orko?"
"Well it's a long story….", Orko said.
….
One long story later….
"That's the story", Ahsoka said.
The Sorceress said, "well. That's a very interesting story. And quite inspiring as well."
"I can feel the magic in this castle is strong", Leon said.
The Sorceress said, "indeed. As the Sorceress, I keep watch over all of it. I've been teaching Orko all I can in the ways of magic."
"And I am getting better at it", Orko beamed.
"I would love to hear more about the Jedi", the Sorceress said with a smile on her face.
Leon asked, "would it be okay…. If I can explore the castle?"
The Sorceress said with a stern look on her face, "of course…. Just don't touch anything, okay?"
Leon nods his head.
"I'll tell you the story of the Jedi", Ahsoka said.
Leon then walked away from the group to explore the castle more.
It was a very old one, with many books floating around, easy for the Sorceress to grab one and study it.
"This place looks so cool", Leon said in awe.
"Leon."
Leon turned around to hear someone call his name.
Leon asked himself as he scratched his head, "who said that?"
"Leon."
Leon looked around, trying to see just who was saying that?
Leon then followed the voice into a dark cave with a fire in the middle.
Leon asked, now feeling confused, "okay, who is saying that!?"
Leon was about ready to run off. He knew better than to ignore the warning the Sorceress had given him. And he had seen stuff like this enough times to know better.
"Leon."
Leon then gasped to see what had appeared in front of him….
Standing in a mirror was what looked like a much older version of himself. His eyes now blue rather than red, his blonde hair long and gray, his skin wrinkled.
Leon asked, "who…. Who are you?"
His doppelganger said, "I'm you, well, you in the future."
"This is a trick", Leon growled as he activated his lightsaber.
The older Leon said, "on no, my boy. It's not. The will of the force allowed me to see you, and to show you what your future will soon hold."
Leon asked, "what do you mean?"
The older Leon gave a wise smile as he snapped his fingers.
Leon gasped as he found himself in….
"The Jedi Temple?"
Leon asked this as he stood with his older self, seeing many Jedi walking around, younglings running around, etc.
He saw statues of…. His wife, Sam, Hordak, Adora, Prime…. And statues of everyone of his friends.
Leon asked, "what's going on here? Why are there statues of my friends in the Temple?"
Older Leon chuckled and said, "you tend to get statues for all the heroic deeds ya do…. Especially when you reach 890 years old."
Leon's eyes went wide.
"890?! 890!? Years old!?" Leon stuttered.
Older Leon chuckled.
"Wait, but does that mean…. My friends…. And my wife are….", Leon asked with a few tears in his eyes.
Older Leon said, "some of them, yes. Others, they still help me train the New generation. I couldn't do it without Ahsoka half the time."
Leon asked, "how are you, or we, this old?!"
Older Leon gave a soft smile as he placed his hand on Leon's shoulder.
He said, "the force can often lead to many things. It gave me and many of our friends a longer life, so we could keep the Jedi order on the right path."
Leon asked with a bit of hope in his voice, "but which of my friends are still alive at…. This point? Is Ahsoka still alive?"
Older Leon and younger Leon stood before a statue of Ahsoka.
Leon had tears falling down his face as he knew what the answer would be.
Older Leon said, "do not despair. For we had many years with them before they passed. And someday soon, I too shall join them, as one with the force."
Leon asked sadly, "so Sam, Hordak, Adora…. Almost all of my friends are dead at this point?"
Older Leon nodded.
"But their memories live on…. In their descendants", Older Leon said with a wise smile on his face.
Leon asked, "descendants?"
Older Leon nodded as they heard someone yell, "Master Leon!"
Leon turned to see…. A boy who appeared to be 15 years old…. And this boy reminded him of Sam and Hordak.
The boy had dark blue hair with a white streak in it, and had the eyes and features of Sam.
Older Leon smiled at the boy as he approached.
"Hi Grandmaster Leon", the boy said as he bowed.
Older Leon chuckled.
He said as he patted the boys back, "hello Galen. How are you?"
"I'm great! I'm learning how to master using two lightsabers", Galen beamed.
Leon's eyes went wide at Galen calling his older self grandmaster.
"Your great great Grandfather Sam Skywalker was one of the best jar'kai users I've known in my life", Older Leon said with a sad smile on his face.
Galen said, "every day, I try to honor his and great great grandpa Hordak's memory. Just like how my sister Jaina is always trying to honor great great Grandma's Scorpia and Perfuma."
Older Leon smiled as he pats Galen's head.
"Head to the training room…. I'll meet up with you there", Older Leon said with a smile on his face.
Galen smiled and he ran off.
Leon stuttered, "Grandmaster!? Great Great…. Grandfather!? Grandma!?"
Older Leon explained, "years ago, after Master Yoda passed away, I was made the Grandmaster of the Jedi order. And that was my student; Galen Skywalker, descendant of Sam and Hordak's son, Aiden, and Scorpia and Perfuma's daughter, Flora."
"This is a lot to take in….", Leon said with a stutter.
Older Leon smiled.
Leon asked, "what happened to Vader and the imperials?"
"I cannot tell you all of the details, but rest assured, their evil eventually comes to an end. There have been a few times the Sith have tried to return in some way…. And those who have tried to restore the Empire…. But it would fail…. Thanks to the help of She-Ra and the Dyad", Older Leon said with a smile.
Leon said, "it's good to know that all of their hard work wasn't for nothing."
Leon then found himself back in Castle Grayskull.
"Leon…. I must tell you this….", Older Leon said.
Leon asked, "what? What is it?"
Older Leon gave a sigh before he spoke.
"Always trust in the force. Even when times get tough, you need to be strong, and to be there for the ones you love."
Older Leon then disappeared.
"That was something! I probably should get back to the others…. Ahsoka might be wondering where I am", Leon said as he walked away from the mirror.
He walked back down the stairs to see the others still talking.
Ahsoka had just said, "and he shot her. It was weird."
"That is weird", Orko said.
Leon asked, "hi, what did I miss?"
Ahsoka replied, "just telling some old stories from the Clone Wars."
Orko asked, "what about you?"
"If I told you…. You wouldn't believe me", Leon said with a chuckle.
Orko replied, "try me."
Leon shrugged and said, "alright, but I warned ya..."
...
Randor asked his daughter, "do you have to go back, Adora?"
Adora said, "sadly, yes. I can't leave my family. Not after everything we've been through. Those kids see me as a mother. And I see them as my kids."
"I can understand that", Cringer said.
"Since those kids lost their real mother", Teela said with a frown.
"It's so sad to think that Padme…. Died of a broken heart", Marlena said.
"All because of what her husband did", Skeletor said with a sad frown.
Evelyn added, "it's a shame there's no way to bring her back."
Adora said, "believe me, if there was a way to, I'd bring their mother back."
Then a sound was heard in the sky.
Cringer asked, scared, "what's that!?"
Catra looked outside to see Republic cruisers.
"Don't worry…. It's the New Republic…. They are here to help with the planet", Catra said with a smile.
Adora said, "you may get to meet a few of our friends when they arrive."
Adam replied, "that would be very nice."
"I promise to come visit as often as I can", Adora said to her family.
Randor replied, "that's all we ask."
Adora hugged her family.
"Also Teela, if you need any help…. Catra and I will be there to help you", Adora said with a smile on her face.
"And if any of you get interested in exploring the galaxy…. Let us know…. And we'll give you a tour", Catra winked.
Merlena said, "we really appreciate it. And thank you all."
….
Leon and Ahsoka were back on the ship.
Ahsoka asked her husband, "so you spoke with your future self?"
"Yep…. I can't believe I'm still alive in the future…. And I'm 890 years old to say the least", Leon said.
Ahsoka said, "well, Master Yoda is in his 800's as well, so maybe the Grandmaster tends to be someone with a very long lifespan."
"But I am sad…. That by the time I reach that age…. Most of my friends…. And my wife will be…. One with the force at that time", Leon said with a sad look on his face.
Ahsoka hugged her husband and said, "it's alright. One day we'll all be reunited, being one with the force. Even if it takes a few years."
"You're right", Leon smiled.
Leon returned the hug.
Adora and Catra soon returned to the ship.
The ship then left the planet Eternia and started to head back to Coruscant.
Adora said, "the Chancellor will be happy that we were able to befriend the people on Eternia."
"And that you found your family at last", Catra said.
Adora smiled.
"Now we have to make sure Vader doesn't try to take control of Eternia", Leon said.
Ahsoka said, "we'll have New Republic forces deployed to protect the planet. Some Clones and a few Jedi should be able to handle it."
The group could only hope that soon Vader and the Imperials would be dealt with.
So there could be peace in the galaxy….
