A motorcycle zoomed across the highway in the sunrise. Very few cars are around by this time, so the driver had more area to move around.
The driver is a woman; tall, fair, and slender. She was wearing a motorcycle jacket and a helmet, with long platinum blonde hair blowing in the wind.
Before long, the motorcycle eventually arrives at a town. Slowing down, the cyclist took the sight of various people going out and about to start their day. The woman, however, did not stop. Instead of staying in the town, she decided to go to a spot that she enjoyed so much.
Arriving at a park, she parked the motorcycle and took off her helmet, revealing a beautiful lady with bright blue eyes, faint freckles, and long platinum blonde hair flowing freely.
This woman pulled a wallet from her pocket and opened it to check on the amount of money that she had. The girl's motorcycle license can be seen, and her first name can be visible, and it says,
"Elsa"
"I think I've got enough money for the day." she said as she placed the wallet back.
Soon, Elsa walked along the path, looking at the lake. She had a smile on her face, admiring the beauty of the lake, with the rays of the sunrise reflecting on the lake. She took in a deep breath of fresh air and exhaled in relief.
Then, she heard another exhale from nearby. She turned to see another woman sitting on a bench. This woman has long hair with turquoise-blue eyes, fair skin, long strawberry blonde hair, and freckles on her cheeks.
Elsa hummed as she eyed the woman with interest; she seemed upset. She didn't want to intrude on a stranger's personal life, but she felt like she had to go and check on her.
With a sigh, she approached her.
"Hi." she said. The woman looked up and blinked slightly, briefly taken aback.
"Oh. Uh, 'hi' me? A-Are you talking to me?" she asked. Elsa chuckled slightly.
"Well, we're the only ones in this park so far." she replied. The woman looked around and hummed.
"Uh, right. You're right. Heh." she said. Elsa shook her head at this woman's awkwardness.
"Mind if I sit here?" she asked, gesturing to an empty spot on the bench. The woman looked surprised but nodded.
"Uh s-sure. Why not?" she said. Elsa smiled as she approached her and sat down next to her.
The two sat silently before Elsa looked at her and grew a small smile.
"Hey, I never got your name. What is it?" she asked. The woman shifted herself to get more comfortable as she looked at her.
"I-I'm Anna. Yours?" she responded. Elsa nodded.
"I'm Elsa. Nice to meet you." she said, extending her hand outwards. Anna smiled sheepishly and shook her hand.
"Thanks. You too." she said awkwardly. Then, things went back to being silent.
Elsa stared at Anna for a bit, noticing how tense the latter was. She felt a bit guilty for making her feel uncomfortable and is considering getting up to give her some space. However, Anna seemed to have noticed this, and she spoke.
"I'm sorry. I saw you looking at me, a-and I-I guess it's because of my tense body. It's not your fault, ; I'm bit uh…ugh, I dunno what I'm feeling right now."
Elsa hummed as she adjusted herself.
"I see…did something happen at home?" she asked before immediately regretting it.
"Oh wait. Sorry, forget I asked that." she said, shaking her head. Anna, however, shook her head.
"No worries. It's just a dumb argument I had with my boyfriend, Kristoff." she said. Elsa looked at her.
"Argument?"
"Yeah. I-I don't even remember what it's about, honestly. I figured I would leave him alone so that we could spend some time to ourselves." Anna replied, nodding. Elsa hummed with a slight nod.
After a while, Elsa stretched her legs and looked around, looking for something to do. Nothing too eventful, unfortunately. With a deep breath, she stood up.
"So, I'm gonna go and walk along the park." she explained. Anna nodded.
"Oh, that's fine. Hope you have a good morning." she said. Elsa giggled softly, and she turned to look at Anna.
"I was wondering, Anna. Do you wanna come with me?" she asked. This made Anna look up in surprise.
"Uh, w-w-what?" she asked. Elsa smiled.
"Of course. Normally, I don't mind being alone, but I would like some company. Plus, you look like you could use some company as well. It's up to you, of course." she said.
Anna stared at her for a while, shocked to see her offering her companionship. However, she grew a smile and stood up.
"S-Sure! I'd love to. I mean I hope I won't bother you too much." she said. Elsa chuckled.
"I'm sure this will be fine." she said before the two of them walked off.
For the duration of the walk, the two of them began to chat about stuff. From the walk, Elsa learned some interesting things about Anna: she was an only child in foster care, has a blog on Facebook about her and her daily life (she has tens of thousands of followers), and life in middle and high school being quite eventful for her, having an ex-boyfriend who manipulated and used her, being a popular girl with some decent grades, the usual stuff. Now she's attending a university, and that's how she met Kristoff.
Elsa, meanwhile, told her that she was a straight-A student, doesn't hang out with a lot of friends, and mostly keeps to herself, and by extension, has no interest in pursuing a romantic relationship. This made Anna feel surprised.
"*gasp* No loving partner for life? Don't you want to have someone to keep an eye on you? Someone who you could trust, or have children with?!" she asked, almost a bit too exaggerated. Elsa shook her head.
"No. I just don't wanna have a relationship. I don't feel like I'm ready for that, NOR for having kids, especially." she explained. Anna pouted before pointing at her.
"Mark my words: someday, you'll change your mind!" she declared. Elsa laughed as she gently pushed her aside.
"Shut up." she said, and the two girls laughed.
The two continued walking along the park for a while before they arrived at a spot where a stage was placed at. Anna and Elsa smiled.
"You ever been to this part of the park before?" she asked. Elsa nodded.
"A lot, actually. I always wanted to be a singer and dancer." she said. Anna blinked as she smiled.
"Cool. Me too, actually! What type of music do you like?" she asked.
"I like slow and orchestra music, although I don't mind some more modern music every now and then." she said.
"Well, I love rock and roll! Especially the metalcore, when the people are screaming like 'OOOOOOOO' Hahaha." laughed Anna as she mimicked the shouts of the band members. Elsa chuckled at Anna's impressions, but she shook her head.
"I hate rock and roll. So loud and rough." she said. Anna pouted and stuck her tongue out at her, making Elsa laugh again.
Then, she looked at the stage and smiled before walking to the side.
"Wanna hear my singing?" she asked. Anna nodded with a smile.
"Sure. What song are you gonna sing?" she asked. Elsa hummed for a moment before gasping.
"How about Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightham?" she asked. Anna raised a brow.
"Really? Never heard of that." she said as she pulled out her phone. "Hold on, let me get the instrumental version ready so you can sing it." she explained.
Elsa nodded as Anna did her work. Soon, she got the instrumental version ready and raised a brow. Elsa nodded as she got herself ready before the song began.
For the duration of the song, Anna stood there, mesmerized by the dancing and singing of Elsa. She sang as if she were an angel coming down from the heavens, and her movements were full of grace as if she were a swan. Anna got close to the stairs entering the stage, and Elsa noticed, smiling.
She extended her hands out, inviting her to join her with the dance. Growing slightly excited, Anna took up the offer and was pulled into the dance. Anna was surprised at how strong Elsa was with the pulling, but she allowed herself to get lost in their little world and mimic her moves.
Well, she tried to. She fumbled a bit, but Elsa just chuckled.
"You're okay. Besides, no one's here." she said before continuing to sing near the climax.
In the end, just when Anna seemed to get the hang of dancing like Elsa, Elsa took in a deep breath and sang the last verse of the song, the finale having her sing almost continuously in one breath.
Panting a bit, Elsa and Anna looked at one another and smiled.
"That…was amazing." Anna complimented. Elsa blushed a bit and shrugged.
"It's nothing. My parents always say that I have an amazing voice." she said, fingers running against her hair. Anna laughed.
"It's not 'nothing'. I'm willing to bet some people would think it's hypnotizing!" she complimented. Elsa laughed as well.
"Okay, now you're pushing it. Anyway, what's your singing voice like?" asked Elsa. Anna smiled before stepping past her.
"Watch MY singing talent." she said as she walked to the center of the stage. She picked a song on her phone called "White Light" by The Ghost Inside.
Elsa watched as Anna danced and sang her heart out during the song, and she winced slightly as she sang the parts where the rock singer screamed. To her, it sounded like a dying eagle.
It lasted a bit too long for her taste, but Elsa admitted that she has a lot of passion heart in her dancing and singing.
Suddenly, Anna pulled Elsa close to her so that she can join her. Elsa was also amazed at how strong she was (more so than her own), but her joy was…rather contagious. Before she knew it, she joined in on the dancing.
Before long, the song ended, and Anna and Elsa panted, smiling at each other.
"Wow! Wasn't that AMAZING?!" giggled Anna. Elsa nodded but shrugged as well.
"Seeing you dancing and singing was amazing…shame that the song itself sucks." she pointed out. Anna just pouted and stuck her tongue out childishly. Elsa and the two stood next to each other, silent once more.
Then, Anna looked at her.
"So…what do wanna do now? Wanna go to town and just mess around?" she asked. Elsa hummed a bit, and she looked at him,
"I dunno. Will Kristoff miss you?" she asked. Anna nodded.
"Yeah. But he's probably busy with his family in the mountains. Plus, after the argument we had, he'd probably need some time to himself. Which means," she explained before cupping her hands.
"We've got the WHOLE DAY to ourselves!" she declared, giggling. Elsa, with the assurance, smiled and nodded.
"Alrighty then. Let's go!" she said. Anna smiled brightly before she blinked.
"Oh…I had to take a public bus to get here. Do you have a ride?" she asked. Elsa nodded.
"Yep." she said.
"Oh, that's great." Anna said.
"THIS is both scary and exciting at the same time!" Anna shouted as she clung onto Elsa for dear life while the latter drove her motorcycle. Elsa just smiled.
"Just hold on and you'll be fine! We're almost there, anyway!" Elsa called back. Anna nodded and tightened her grip, which made Elsa a bit uncomfortable due to her need to breathe properly.
Before long, they arrived back at the town, where Elsa parked the motorcycle, and the two got to walk off to explore the town.
The two of them did many things together, such as purchasing food, Anna coddling over cute sights such as dogs and kittens, playing some arcade games, and otherwise just prancing around and seeing the landmarks of the town.
Before long, it was time to go, as the sun was beginning to set.
"Aww. Time to go already?" asked Anna. Elsa nodded.
"Yep. Wow, those people are right when they say 'time flies fast when you're having fun'. Hey, do wanna ride back to your home?" she asked. Anna blinked again and scratched the back of her head.
"Y-You're gonna take me home? I can just take the public bus." she offered. Elsa shook her head.
"No need. Helps save you time." she insisted. Anna mumbled for a moment before shrugging.
"Okay." Anna said as the two walked back.
"Do you have like a GPS app to guide us to your home?" she asked. Anna nodded. So they went.
Before long, Elsa arrived at a small house in a neighborhood. After stopping it, she looked at Anna.
"Is this it?" she asked. Anna nodded.
"Yep." Anna said.
"Good. Can you please let me go? Your grip is very strong and I need to breathe." Elsa said, wincing slightly. Anna gasped and pulled away.
"Sorry." she said as Elsa took in a massive gulp of air. Anna then raised a brow.
"My grip wasn't THAT tight…was it?" she asked. Elsa shook her head.
"Nah. I'm teasing you." she said. Anna chuckled as they got off the cycle and walked to the front house, a two-story house with five windows.
"Kristoff won't be here for a few hours, so if you want, you can stay here for a bit." Anna said as she got her keys and unlocked the door. Elsa looked at her.
"Oh, I appreciate that, but I think I've gotta he-WOAH!" Elsa went as something shot past her leg. The two of them looked at whatever it was as it stopped, looking back in excitement.
It was a tiny kitten.
Elsa stared at it with shock and a bit of awe.
"Aww. Is that yours?" she asked. Anna gasped a bit and snapped her fingers.
"THAT'S what we're arguing about: keeping the cat." she muttered and chuckled softly. Elsa raised a brow.
"Really? That's what you and your boyfriend were arguing about?" she asked. Anna nodded.
"Yeah. Kristoff doesn't really like kittens and he says that we don't have that much money. But I don't wanna leave the poor little kitten by himself." she said as she approached the kitten and picked it up gently. The kitten meowed and nuzzled up against her neck.
"Oh. So you have money troubles?" she asked. Anna nodded.
"Yeah. Kristoff got laid off at his old job and he had to find a new one that is also better-paying. He did find one: ice harvesting. But as you know, money doesn't come flying in immediately. *sigh*" she said as she looked at the cat. Elsa looked at her, then at the cat. Then, shrugging to herself, she approached them.
"I can take care of the cat for you." she said. Anna gasped and looked at her.
"You will?" she asked. Elsa nodded.
"Of course. Plus, I always wanted a pet cat. I love dogs, but they're too excitable for me." she said. Anna smiled and hugged her.
"Thank you so much! You didn't have to do this." she said, almost like she's about to cry. Elsa smiled and hugged her back.
"No, I don't. But I want to." she said. Anna's smile grew as the two hugged one another.
Then, Anna gently handed the kitten over to Elsa.
"Take care of Arizona, Elsa." she said. Elsa raised a brow.
"You gave her a name already?" she asked. Anna nodded.
"Yep! Didn't wanna call her kitten." she said. Elsa smiled and then turned. But then, Anna asked,
"Hey, Elsa?"
"Hm?" she asked as she turned back. Anna fumbled a bit.
"Um…This has been a fun day. Can we uh, do this again sometime in the future?" she asked. Elsa smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. Honestly, you're one of the most fun people I've ever met, other than my little brothers." she said. Anna smiled but then blinked in surprise.
"You have brothers?" she asked. Elsa nodded as she approached her.
"Twin toddlers: Olaf and Marshmallow. Well, Marshmallow's real name is Eirik, but we like the nickname more, so it stuck." she said. Anna smiled.
"Aww. That's cute." she said. Elsa nodded.
"So, you want my contact information?" she offered. Anna nodded rapidly, so they took out their phones and exchanged their contact information.
Then, Elsa turned around to leave. Anna then asked,
"You sure you don't wanna stay for a bit?"
Elsa shook her head as she stroked Arizona.
"I'm good. See you next time, Anna!" she answered, waving at her. Anna smiled back and waved.
"Bye, Elsa!" she said.
Elsa smiled as she gently set Arizona on the basket connected to the motorcycle, turned on the motorcycle, and drove off. Anna stared on, smiling at the woman.
Elsa stared as she rode off into the highway. Arizona on her case, staring off into the horizon. Elsa smiled as she remembered her time with Anna fondly.
"I think I just made a new friend." she said to herself as she continued driving. She hoped that the two of them would meet again.
AN: Hi everyone!
My first modern AU. I did this partially because I'm bored, and because I wanna do something of this style to help with my creative mind, especially since my university classes are gonna start up again. Ugh…
So…that's it. Hope you enjoy it, any criticism is greatly appreciated, and stick around for more!
