Chapter 48: The Return

On Kamino.

Adora and Catra stood side by side as they watched in the tank…. Their son.

They had finally decided to do what their friends did and had their own kid cloned.

The child had Catra's fur and ears, but Adora's hair.

They named them, Finn.

"It's going to take a while…. We want to make sure there are no defects or mutations in his DNA", Zea Meve said as she checked her datapad.

"We can't wait to meet him", Catra said with a smile on her face.

Adora said, "it'll be nice to start our own little family. Let's just hope Finn has your skills Catra."

"Skills? I would love to see him...if it's possible for him to become the next She-Ra", Catra said with a smirk on her face.

Adora said, "hush. I wouldn't give that burden to anyone, least of all my kid, until I'm too old to do it."

"We'll see about that", Catra said with a chuckle.

Adora and Catra held each other as they stared at their son.

Timeskip.

A lot of things have happened during the 3rd year of the New Republic.

Last year, Adora and Catra had gotten married and their son Finn had been finished just in time for the wedding.

Obi Wan and Entrapta got married at the start of the 3rd year of the New Republic.

Scorpia and Perfuma had also gotten married!

The galaxy was in a state of relative peace, with 'Natalie' leading the New Republic to the best of her abilities with the help of the Jedi and the senators.

'Natalie' had been called by everyone in the galaxy; the best Chancellor, as she kept true to her word.

The only problem the Galaxy really faced was the constant search for Vader and the last remains of his Empire.

The entire army of the New Repubilic and the Jedi did their best to find him and the last of the Empire.

But rumors had begun to circulate of a deadly weapon the Empire was working on…. Capable of blowing up an entire planet!

There were also rumors of a secret agent helping the New Republic who was infiltrating the Empire.

But the only people who knew were 'Natalie' and her inner circle of Senators and Jedi.

...

A ship was then seen flying through space as behind the ship was a Star Destroyer that was firing at the ship!

It shook when the Imperial ship managed to land a hit on the deflector shields!

Inside were a few Republic soldiers.

"Commander! We've been hit", one of them said.

'Natalie' turned around.

She said, "all able bodied men report to the main entrance to the ship. The stormtroopers will try to get in there, and rumor has it they finally fixed that glitch that makes them horrible at shooting things."

"What about you sir?"

'Natalie' stared at the disc in her hands.

"I must get these plans to the Jedi and the Republic no matter what", 'Natalie' said.

The ship shook again.

"There's no time…. You must leave now Chancellor!"

'Natalie' said, "I'm getting these plans to the New Republic!"

That's when a familiar Astromech droid rolled towards her.

Artoo beeped as 'Natalie' placed the plans inside the droid.

"Come on", 'Natalie' said as she and Artoo went to the escape pods.

'Natalie' took out a small bomb that would shock the stormtroopers and knock them out.

She placed it on the ground and got inside the escape pod with Artoo.

She said, "let's get out of here Artoo. I just hope we can find a way back to the New Republic before it's too late."

Artoo beeped as the escape pod launched off into space and to the nearest planet.

Tatooine.

'Natalie' groaned and said, "it's always Tatooine, isn't it?"

Artoo beeped in agreement.

….

On the ship.

The stormtroopers had taken everyone hostage and Darth Vader was grabbing a man by the throat.

He growled, "where are those plans that were sent to you? What have you done with them?!"

The man choked out, "we intercepted no transmission…. This is the Chancellor's ship…. We're on a…. Diplomatic mission…."

Vader asked, "if this is the Chancellor's ship, where is the Chancellor?!"

The man's hands went limp and Vader threw away the body.

Vader growled, "Commander, tear this ship apart for those plans. And bring the prisoners on board. We're going to find those damned plans!"

The troopers all then got to work.

….

On Tatooine.

'Natalie' and Artoo were walking through the desert of Tatooine.

She said, "I'm going to suggest Adora make this planet less harsh and blistering. Cause I swear I'm gonna broil out here."

Artoo beeped in agreement.

"At least I know someone on this planet", 'Natalie' said with a smile, though she was wearing her helmet.

They soon came up to a cliff to see a familiar moisture farm.

She said, "there it is Artoo. The old moisture farm Anakin's family grew up in. Let's hope they're still there."

Artoo beeped as if asking how she knew them.

'Natalie' said, "it was right as the Clone Wars began. I stayed there for a few days, and they were very gracious hosts."

Artoo beeped as they walked towards the farm.

….

On Naboo.

"Keep your lightsaber steady", Sam said.

Sam and Hordak were in the Jedi Temple of Naboo teaching their kids and the twins about Lightsaber combat.

Hordak said, "use your feelings. Your lightsaber is like an extension of yourself. It's a part of you. Feel the force flowing between you."

The kids all had helmets covering their heads as there were a few training droids ready to fire at them.

Luke said, "but with the blast shield on, I can't even see. How am I supposed to fight?"

Sam replied, "your eyes can deceive you. Feel the force to stop the blasts."

"Ow", Rey cried in pain as a blast hit her in the back.

Hordak said, "careful Rey. Trust in the force, and you'll be able to predict where the droids will shoot."

Leia quickly blocked a blast from a droid with her lightsaber.

"Good Leia", Sam said with a smile.

Grogu quickly blocked a blast from a droid with his lightsaber.

Aiden giggled as he was in his cradle.

Luke managed to block a blast!

Hordak said, "good. Keep at it."

Rey then dodged a blast and blocked the other blast with her lightsaber.

Sam said, "good, good, keep it up. You're doing great."

Hamill and BB8 came running in and they were beeping like mad.

Sam asked, "what is it?"

BB8 beeped something that made Hordak say, "Chancellor Natalie? She's sending us a message?!"

The kids then took off their helmets and walked over to the droids.

"Don't just stand there play the message", Threepio said to Hamill and BB8.

BB8 quickly began projecting the blue image of 'Natalie' for the others to see.

Luke asked, "Chancellor?"

'Natalie' said, "hello everyone. I'm glad you're getting this message. My mission was a success. I have retrieved the plans for the Empire's ultimate weapon. The Death Star."

Rey asked, "the Death star? What's that?"

'Natalie' said, "a space station that uses Kyber Crystals as a fuel source. And it's express purpose is frightening. For it has the ability to destroy an entire planet!"

The Skywalker family all gasped in horror.

"That's terrible", Leia said in horror.

'Natalie' said, "indeed. But luckily, I was able to get the plans for it, thanks to a group known as Rogue One. The plans showed a weakness in the station, so small that the Empire didn't think anything of it. And I need to get these plans to the New Republic."

Sam asked, "where are you and Artoo?"

"Tatooine", 'Natalie' said with a sigh.

Sam groaned and said, "it's always Tatooine. Is there any place you can stay?"

'Natalie' said, "yes. I was able to find my way to the moisture farm opened by your step-brother, Owen Lars."

Sam asked, "Owen? I have not seen him in a long time, how are he and Beru?"

'Natalie' said, "good. They are doing very well. Especially without the Empire around them."

"That's good", Luke said.

"But we may put them in danger. If Artoo and I stay here too long", 'Natalie' said with fear in her voice.

Sam said, "I suggest you and Artoo head to Mos Eisley. We'll send Han and Chewie to find you there."

"The Falcon will get to the planet faster", Hordak said.

'Natalie' said, "thank you so much. And may the force be with you."

The message ended.

"We have to inform the Jedi council of this news", Sam said.

Hordak said, "I'll inform them while you contact Han and Chewbacca about finding 'Natalie.'"

Sam nods his head as he walks off to inform Han and Chewie about the situation.

….

Meanwhile, 'Natalie' stood at the Lars home, looking upon the sunset.

She had a lot of emotions running through her head.

With the new threat posed by the Empire, the New Republic was in danger of losing everything it had worked so hard to achieve.

"I won't let Vader win", 'Natalie' growled as she clenched her fists.

'Natalie' then heard screaming from the farm.

She turned to see stormtroopers attacking the farm!

She whispered, "no", before grabbing a blaster and racing to the farm.

She quickly shot a trooper as she got to Owen and Beru, with Artoo close behind.

'Natalie' asked, "are you two okay?"

Owen replied, "we're fine. Just shaken up."

'Natalie' said, "it's not safe here. We need to leave. Head for Mos Eisley."

Artoo beeped like mad as they saw more troopers coming their way.

'Natalie' growled as she took out her staff and began to fight them.

She hit one in the face and grabbed them by the neck and pulled them in front of her as a shield. As a trooper ran at her, she stabbed the staff into their foot and elbowed them away.

"Artoo, get Owen and Beru out of here", 'Natalie' shouted as she blasted a trooper in the head.

Artoo tried to bleep a retort, but 'Natalie' yelled, "now! That's an order!"

Artoo bleeped as he tried to lead the Lars away.

'Natalie' stabbed her spear through a trooper's chest.

She quickly smashes the staff into the helmet of another trooper, shattering the glass into their eyes!

"Help us", Beru cried.

'Natalie' turned to see the stormtroopers grabbing Owen and Beru along with Artoo!

"No", 'Natalie' shouted in fear.

She ran so fast that she kicked up a huge cloud of dirt as she stabbed the staff forward, actually piercing straight through a trooper's head!

Then the Stormtroopers that were holding Owen, Beru and Artoo were lifted into the air as they let out choking sounds.

They all turned to see the spectorial form of Antauri standing there.

Antauri then lifted the rest of the Stormtroopers into the air as they were all choking.

"Can't…. Breath", one trooper choked out.

Antauri then slammed them all on the ground, knocking them out like lights!

'Natalie' then ran over to Owen and Beru.

"Get to the speeder, I'll catch up with you", 'Natalie' said as she checked them to make sure they weren't injured.

Beru said, "bless you miss, bless you."

'Natalie' whispered, "that's what families are for."

The Lars' ran to the speeder with Artoo behind them.

'Natalie' turned as an Imperial shuttle began to land, with more troopers ready to fight her.

Antauri reached his hand out towards the shuttle…. And he shot force lightning!

The shuttle crashed to the ground in flames as Antuari and 'Natalie' stared upon the wreckage.

"Thank you Antauri…. And I have a question…. Are you….", 'Natalie' asked.

Antauri smiled at her and said, "it's been a long time. I still remember when I used what power I had to retrieve you from the afterlife. In hopes that one day, you would see your family again. And to answer your question…. Yes…. I am one with the force."

'Natalie' gave a smile under her helmet, when they turned their attention towards the speeder.

"It's time for the truth to come out…. My dear", Antauri whispered to 'Natalie'.

'Natalie' nodded as she approached the speeder, and Antauri vanished.

She looked at Owen, Beru and Artoo, and said, "it's off to Mos Eisley. And then…. I need to tell you all something…."

….

The Falcon just came out of lightspeed and they were approaching the planet.

"We have to hurry…. Before those imperials get to them", Han said.

Chewie grunted something that made him say, "relax. I'm sure the Chancellor and Leia's family aren't in too much danger. Even with that Death Star thing, the New Republic is still much stronger."

The Falcon then entered Tatooine's atmosphere.

Han said, "alright, Sam gave us clearance to docking bay four. We search for Natalie and bring her to the ship."

….

With 'Natalie', the group made it to Mos Eisley.

'Natalie' asked, "do you think they will be mad…. When I tell them the truth?"

Beru said, "I'm sure they'll understand. Given your connection to them, it's understandable why you had to keep your identity a secret."

Owen said, "I'm sure it'll be interesting, explaining how Antuari basically resurrected you."

'Natalie' smiled underneath her helmet and she hugged them.

"I promise that once it's safe for you to return home…. I'll ask She-Ra to turn this desert planet into a much more beautiful place", 'Natalie' said.

Owen said, "it'll sure make life here much easier for a lot of people."

Artoo beeped.

'Natalie' saw in the sky the millennium falcon.

"There's the falcon…. Come on", 'Natalie' said.

The group made their way towards where the Falcon was landing, docking bay four.

"There they are! Blast them!"

The group quickly ran to cover as a group of Stormtroopers blasted at them!

"Get to the ship", 'Natalie' shouted as she threw a smoke bomb at the troopers.

Smoke began to envelope the troopers as the group ran to the Falcon!

"Quick, get inside", Han shouted as he blasted a few troopers.

The group quickly ran inside.

"Chewie, get us out of here", Han shouted as he closed the doors.

Chewbacca began powering the ship up as Han ran into the cockpit to help his companion pilot.

'Natalie' and the Lars' got into the seats and strapped themselves to prepare for the ride.

"Hold on back there", Han shouted.

Artoo magnetized himself to the ground as the Falcon took off into the air, the troopers futily shooting at it.

The Falcon then took off into Lightspeed.

….

On Naboo, Sam and Hordak along with Adora, Catra and a few of the Jedi were in the temple waiting for Han or Chewie to send them a message to let them know if the Chancellor is okay.

They were all very worried, since 'Natalie' was such an important person, as well as how important her mission was.

Hamill then beeped as he projected a hologram of 'Natalie'.

"Chancellor", everyone shouted in relief.

"I'm alright…. Han and Chewie were able to get to the planet in time", she said.

Sam asked, "what about Owen and Beru? Are they alright?"

'Natalie' said, "they're fine. We were able to come with us. Once we get to Naboo, and you get the plans for the Death Star…. I have something important to tell all of you…."

….

Timeskip.

The Falcon landed in the hangar bay of the Jedi Temple.

Everyone stood there as the door to the Falcon opened. Han and Chewie led the group out of the ship, with 'Natalie' coming in last.

Obi Wan asked, "Chancellor! Are you alright?"

'Natalie' said, "I'm alright. Just a few bruises from fighting stormtroopers. Anyway, I have the plans for the Death Star. Artoo can upload them to your terminal."

Artoo beeped.

"Artoo, you're okay", Luke said in relief as he hugged the droid.

Leia asked, "so, what was this important issue you needed to tell us about?"

'Natalie' sighed.

"Owen and Beru...these troopers will lead you to your rooms", 'Natalie' said.

The couple nodded their heads as they walked off.

"Artoo, show the Jedi the plans for the death star while I speak with…. Them", 'Natalie' said.

Artoo bleeped as he went off to carry out these orders, and 'Natalie' led the others to another room to tell them what was so important.

Leon asked, "what is it Chancellor? What do you want to tell us?"

'Natalie' was silent before she turned to the group and said, "it's time you knew the truth…."

Sam asked, "the truth about what?"

'Natalie' slowly brought her hands to her helmet, and everyone was shocked as she began to lift it.

And what everyone saw, shocked them to the core.

As the helmet fell to the ground, everyone found themselves staring awestruck as a face they thought they'd never see again.

The face…. Of Padme Amidalla.

Sam stuttered in shock, "P-P-P-Padme!?"

Padme smiled sadly.

"Yes, it's me", Padme said.

Leon said, "b-but, how?!"

Padme said, "that…. Is a long story…."
