Chapter 54: Finding the Wayfinder
The Millenium Falcon and Ochi's ship landed on Tatooine, right outside the palace.
"Now you two be careful", Sam said to the twins.
Luke and Leia nodded as the group approached the doors.
Threepio knocked, and a mechanical eye poked out of a small hole in the wall.
It spoke Huttese, and Sam said, "we're here to see Boba Fett."
The door then opened.
"Stay close to us", Adora said.
The group walked in through the dark tunnels, and were approached by Fennec Shan. A friend of Din and his crew!
Sam asked, "hello Fennec, it's been a while hasn't it?"
Fennec said, "greetings Sam. It's good to see you again. You need something from Boba, am I right?"
"Yes…. He told us he knows someone, who can help us translate the inscription on this blade", Sam said as he held the blade in his hand.
"If we can find out what it says…. It will lead us to the Wayfinder", Luke said.
Fennec said, "ah. You must mean Babu Frikk. Follow me. And don't worry about the hunters here. As long as you're allies of Boba, you don't gotta worry."
The group followed Fennec through the tunnels.
Catra asked, "so how are Din and Bane doing?"
Fennec said, "very good. Bane's gotten more to relax. And I heard Din proposed to Cara!"
"Good for Din", Adora said with a smile on her face.
"Boba also wants to give his thanks to you Adora…. For turning Tatooine into a much more beautiful place", Fennec said.
Adora said, "it was no problem. After this, consider us even."
The group then stopped in front of a door and Fennec opened the doors.
Various bounty hunters and smugglers were all sitting in various places as music played.
Boba Fett sat in a throne, enjoying the music Max Rebo and his band were playing.
"So many", Leia whispered.
Hamill beeped as he hopped onto Sam's shoulder.
"Stay close to me Leia", Han said.
Leia clung to Han as the group stood before Boba, clad in his father's armor.
Sam said, "hello Lord Fett."
Boba said, "no need for formalities Sam. We're allies, are we not?"
Sam smiled as Din and Bane approached.
"Long time no see", Din said.
"Nice to see you here", Bane said.
Sam said, "I wish it were under better circumstances. We need your help."
Din asked, "what is it?"
Adora said, "we have a blade that's supposed to lead us to an ancient Sith artifact called a Wayfinder. But we need help getting Threepio to translate it."
"I have just the person who can help you…. Follow me", Boba said as the group followed him.
They entered some kind of workshop, where Cara was napping with a book over her face.
Boba said, "Babu? Are you here?"
"Hey Hey", Babu said.
Sam and the others saw the small alien.
Leia said, "and he now joins my list of the cutest things I've ever seen in my life."
"I agree", Luke said with a smile.
"Come on Threepio", Catra said.
….
Coruscant
Padme had been called to the Jedi Temple.
When she walked into the main council chambers, she saw Hordak already speaking with the other Jedi and a few clones.
Hunter asked, "what's going on?"
"I'm not sure", Padme said as she shrugged her shoulders.
Hordak saw them and said, "Padme, thank goodness you're here. We've got trouble."
Padme asked, "what's going on?"
Obi Wan walked forward.
He said, "Padme…. Vader has kidnapped Sam and Hordak's children."
Padme shouted, "what!?"
Fisto said, "we're putting together a team of our best Jedi and soldiers to go on a rescue mission. We're going to get them back."
Artoo then came rolling into the room with beeping.
Hunter said, "a message from…. Vader?"
Artoo then projected the image of their enemy in the middle of the room.
"Vader", everyone said as they glared at the sith lord.
Hordak growled in anger as soon as he saw Vader.
Vader said, "hello old friends. I assume you know what I'm here to talk about?"
Hordak yelled in anger, "where are my children Vader!?"
Vader said, "calm down, Hordak. Your children are unharmed. They are aboard my personal flagship. Along with the wookie Solo travels with."
"Chewie!? You kidnapped Chewie too", Ahsoka shouted.
"Let them go, Vader", Shaak Ti said as she glared at the sith lord.
Vader said, "oh, I'd be more than happy to…. In exchange for what I want…."
Hunter asked as he glared at him, "what do you want, Vader?"
Vader chuckled for a moment before saying, "oh, you know exactly what I want…."
Padme knew what he was talking about.
Her and the twins!
Padme clenched her fists as she glared at Vader.
"You have gone…. Too far this time…. Vader", Padme growled in anger.
Vader said, "it was my only option. I have no quarrel with most of you…."
Padme shouted in anger, "ONLY OPTION!?"
Everyone was taken back at Padme's anger.
She yelled, "if you don't hand the children and Chewbacca over unharmed, I'll show you what a Mandolorian Chancellor can really do!"
The Jedi could sense a bit of shock and…. Fear in Vader.
Vader said, "I will give you two days to hand over yourself and the children…."
Padme asked as she glared at Vader, "and what happens if I and the twins don't hand ourselves over?"
Vader said, "oh, you don't want that answer…."
"You better not harm my children, Vader! Or I'll chop off every one of your limbs", Hordak shouted in anger.
Vader said, "too late for that, Hordak. Contact me once you're ready to talk…."
The transmission ended.
"Padme…. You can't go, it's a trap", Hunter said to Padme as he grabbed her hand.
Padme said, "I don't care. I won't let those kids be in danger for any longer than they must be."
"There must be another way", Plo Koon said.
"Master Skywalker, his friends, be here soon, they will", Yoda said before he let out a small cough.
Shaak Ti asked, "Master Yoda, are you alright?"
Yoda replied, "fine, I am. Sick I have become. A part of aging, it is."
"I should take you to a healer, Master Yoda", Luminara said with concern.
"No need, there is", Yoda said as he waved his hand.
….
Tatooine.
"I haven't the faintest idea why I agreed to this. I must be malfunctioning. I must be malfunctioning", Threepio said.
Babu Frikk was fiddling with the wires in the back of Threepio's head as the other droids sat nearby.
"He says he's found something in your droid's forbidden memory bank. Words, translated from Sith", Boba explained.
Sam said, "that's from the blade we found. Threepio can translate them, but there's programming keeping him from doing so."
Luke asked, "who programmed that?"
Babu spoke in his own language before saying a name the others understood, "Pelpatiine."
"Palpatine, we should have guessed", Luke said with a growl.
Aodra asked, "can you make him... Babu, can you make him translate it?"
Babu said something that Cara, now awake, translated as, "yes, but in doing so, he'd have to perform a complete memory reset."
Babu said, "Droid mind go blank!"
Catra asked, "wait, wait, wait. We make him translate it…. He won't remember…. Anything?"
"Droid, memory go blank", Babu said.
"Oh", Threepio said.
"Blank, blank", Babu said.
"There must be some other way", Threepio said.
Luke asked, "doesn't R2 back up your memory?"
Sam said, "I make sure Artoo does that with all of our droids and info. Something that came in handy during the clone wars."
Leia asked, "you know the odds better than any of us. Do we have a choice?"
Threepio looked at everyone.
Sam asked, "what are you doing there Threepio?"
"Taking one last look, sir…. At my friends", Threepio said.
"Sad", D-O said.
Sam said, "Threepio, I promise, we'll restore your memory once all of this is over. You have my word as your master and friend."
"Thank you, master Skywalker", Threepio said.
Sam nodded with a bittersweet smile before saying, "alright Babu, get to work."
Babu then started to work on Threepio as he plugged in some wires.
Boba said, "I'll tell everyone to keep an eye out for the First Order. If they come looking for you, that'll be a lot of trouble."
"We made sure before we got here…. They didn't plant a tracker or anything on the ships", Adora said.
Bane said, "still doesn't hurt to be careful."
Babu then spoke.
"He says it might take a while", Boba said.
Sam then walked off from the group, he was in an empty part of the room.
"Sam."
Sam then saw in front of him…. Hordak.
Sam whispered, "H-Hordak? Is it really you? Or is this some sort of trick?"
"Sam…. Remember…. We are a dyad in the force…. We can talk to…. Each other across the galaxy", Hordak explained.
Sam said, "right, almost forgot about that. So, why are you contacting me? Are the kids safe?"
Hordak said, "we're forming a rescue mission now. Padme and I will be leading a group of Jedi and clones to rescue them. Have you found the Wayfinder yet?"
"Not yet…. We found a blade that has an inscription written on it…. If we can get Threepio to translate it…. We can find the Wayfinder", Sam said with hope.
Hordak said, "that's good. As soon as we have the kids back, we'll let you know. And you do the same once the Wayfinder has been found."
Sam reached his hand towards Hordak.
Hordak's hand touched Sam's hand.
"My little Imp…. I have something else to tell you…. Vader said that he would give our children back…. Unless….", Hordak said.
Sam said, "let me guess…. He wants Padme, Luke and Leia."
Hordak asked, "he's that predictable, hmm?"
"I know that he wants his wife and children more than anything in the galaxy", Sam said with a frown on his face.
Hordak said, "he doesn't know the difference between love and obsession. Either way, we aren't letting him have any of them."
"I have an idea…. I'll ask Boba and a few others to help us", Sam said.
Hordak said, "I've sent word to everyone we know, asking for aid."
Sam hugged Hordak.
"I hope our kids are okay", Sam said.
"So do I Sam. So do I", Hordak said.
"I just know they are feeling scared…. And I don't want to think about…. What Vader…. Would….", Sam said in fear.
Hordak said, "don't worry. Vader wouldn't dare hurt them. Otherwise he'd have to deal with us."
Sam nods his head.
Hordak whispered, "good luck my little imp."
Hordak and Sam then kissed each other on the lips.
As the kiss ended, Sam said, "you too."
And with that, Hordak vanished.
Sam sighed as he then started to walk back to the others.
As he entered, Sam asked, "any progress yet?"
"You came just in time Uncle", Luke said.
Babu said, "ayep! The droid is ready!"
He pressed a button that made Threepio stand up with glowing red eyes.
Adora asked, "Threepio?"
The others all gathered around as Threepio began to speak.
Threepio's voice was a bit dark
"The Wayfinder is located on the planet comprised entirely of the force, that will only arrive when it is needed. Where Ghosts foretold the prophecy. Only this blade tells where the Wayfinder is."
Catra asked, "which planet is the Wayfinder on?"
Sam said, "wait…. A planet comprised of the force? Only arrives when needed. Ghosts fortelling a prophecy…. Mortis!"
Adora asked, "Mortis?"
Sam said, "it was a strange world Anakin, Obi Wan, me, Leon and Ahsoka went to. An ancient world ruled by three beings. The father, the Daughter, and the Son. The Daughter gave her life so Ahsoka would live, and it was there that we learned more about the prophecy Anakin was a part of."
Leia asked, "what happened to that planet, Uncle Sam?"
Sam said, "I honestly don't know. It just vanished after our time there was done."
Luke asked, "but could it still be there?"
"If the Wayfinder is there…. I just don't know how we are going to find Mortis again", Sam said as he scratched his head.
Adora said, "well, if it's supposed to show up when we need it, it should show itself very soon."
Catra asked, "is there anything else we should know, Threepio?"
Threepio said, "the blade will glow when the Wayfinder is near. And remember this; only two Wayfinders exist. Just as the Sith, only two exist. Find the Wayfinder, to find Exegol."
Threepio fell back down as Babu went, "Hey Hey!"
Luke said, "the blade glows when the Wayfinder is near…. So it should glow when we find Mortis!"
"Okay…. We now know where the Wayfinder is", Adora said.
"Now we need a plan to rescue the kids", Catra said.
Sam said, "Hordak and Padme will be leading a team on a rescue mission. Maybe we can offer a distraction while they do so?"
Luke asked, "what kind of distraction?"
"Okay…. First, Catra you will go back to Coruscant and inform the Order about what we have found about the Wayfinder", Sam said.
Catra said, "got it. I'll take Ochi's ship."
Sam said, "while we take the Falcon to enact our part of the plan."
"Boba, we'll need your help as well, along with Bane, Din, Fennec and Cara", Sam said.
Cara said, "damn right we'll help. You think we're gonna let that little green bean stay captured?"
Din said, "those kids mean a lot to all of us."
Boba said, "the Bounty Hunter's guild will offer any assistance you need."
"Thank you", Luke said.
"Okay here's the plan….", Sam said.
….
Hordak was speaking with Sam, while Padme was speaking with her kids and the others on the plan to rescue Sam and Hordak's children.
While Hordak and Padme would lead the Bad Batch, Slash, Shaak Ti, Leon, Ahsoka and Ani to infiltrate the ship and save the kids and Chewie.
Meanwhile, the Falcon and the various Bounty Hunter and Republic ships would start a battle that would distract the First Order forces.
"We also found the location of the wayfinder", Sam said with hope in his voice.
Hordak said, "good. That's one step closer to ending all of this."
"But I hope the planet is still there and we can find it before it's too late", Sam said with a sigh.
Hordak asked, "which planet is the wayfinder on?"
Sam answered, "Mortis. A planet that won't show itself until it's needed."
Hordak said, "Mortis? Isn't that the planet you once told me about?"
Sam said, "yeah. The planet where Ahsoka died, but was brought back thanks to the Daughter."
"But with the blade…. It can lead us to the planet", Sam said.
"And then we can put an end to the First Order", Hordak said.
"Exactly. It's almost time to put our plan into action. Be careful while you're on the ship", Sam said.
"I will…. I and the others will get our children back", Hordak said.
Sam smiled and said, "I know you will…. May the force be with you."
"May the force be with you too…. My little imp", Hordak said as he smiled.
Sam smiled back before Hordak vanished.
….
Hordak then walked back to the others.
Padme was wearing her Mandalorian armor and both her staff and Lightsaber.
Hordak said, "are you all ready for this?"
"Yes", everyone said.
Artoo beeped as he stood beside Hordak.
Hordak cracked his neck and said, "saddle up everyone. We're going to save our family!"
Everyone nods their heads.
"Melog will help the ship we take turn invisible, that way we can sneak onto the Executor", Shaak Ti said as she saw Melog stand next to her.
Hordak said, "very good. Since the Ebon Hawk is out of commission right now, we'll take the Silver Blade."
"We must be on alert if Vader has a trick up his sleeve", Padme said as she grabbed her blaster.
Hordak said, "that's why we have Jedi with us, including myself."
"Okay, let's go", Slash said as he put his helmet on.
….
"I want daddy and Papa", Aiden cried as he hugged his older sister.
Rey held her brother as she said, "I know you do Aiden. I promise, they're coming for us."
Chewie nodded as he held the babies in his huge arms.
Grogu, Junior and Angela whimpered.
Then the doors to the cell opened.
Vader walked inside.
Chewie roared loud enough to shake the entire room, but Vader didn't flinch.
Aiden cried as he hugged Rey and hid his face into her arms.
Rey asked as she glared at Vader, "what do you want?"
Vader said, "just checking in…. You're very important to my plans…."
Rey growled, "what plans!?"
Chewie growled as he held the babies close to him.
Vader said, "you're leverage…. With you in my clutches, I shall finally be given my family back!"
"You're crazy to think that Aunt Padme and my cousins will join you", Rey shouted.
Vader said, "it doesn't matter what you think. My plan will work. Play nice, and you'll get through this with no harm done."
"She-Ra and the Jedi will stop you", Rey growled.
Vader growled, "I'd like to see them try. They wouldn't dare attack while I have you in my clutches…."
And suddenly, they felt the cruiser shake!
Vader shouted, "what's going on out there!?"
Vader activated his comlink and growled, "what's going on, you fools?!"
"My lord we are being attacked!"
Vader shouted, "by who!?"
"Skywalker and his forces have begun attacking the cruiser!"
Rey and the rest of the kids could feel Vader's anger.
Chewie hugged Rey and the kids close to him.
Vader stormed out of the room, and marched his way to the bridge of the cruiser, seeing various ships manning an attack!
Vader shouted, "what's going on!?"
Piett said, "various ships are attacking! The Millenium Falcon, The RazorCrest, The FireSpray, and many more!"
Vader walked towards the viewport of the ship and he saw the Millenium Falcon as it shot at several TIE fighters!
"Skywalker", Vader growled.
….
On the Falcon.
Sam could sense Vader's anger.
He said, "Vader's on the bridge. Let's keep him nice and distracted!"
Leia and Adora were manning the gunners on the Falcon as Han helped Sam pilot the ship.
"TIE Fighter on your left", Leia shouted.
"I'll handle it", Din said over the comlink.
The RazorCrest flew past and shot the fighter down in the blink of an eye.
"Thanks Din", Luke shouted over the comlink.
"No problem", Din replied.
"Hordak…. It's up to you now", Sam said.
….
The Silver Blade had just docked in an empty hangar as Hordak and the others climbed out.
Hordak said, "everyone remain quiet and alert. We can't risk Vader knowing we're in here."
"We just have to find the kids and Chewie", Padme said as she held her blaster.
"Then we get the hell out of here", Ani said.
"Ahsoka and I, along with Artoo, will hack into the system so we can get information on the First order's plans", Leon said.
Hunter said, "my team will sabotage the cruiser's engines, so they'll have a further distraction."
Hordak, "and the rest of us will go for the kids and Chewbacca."
"Understood. Let's go", Padme said.
"Let's be careful", Shaak Ti said.
Hordak and his group were in the hallway.
"I can sense my children…. They are scared", Hordak said feeling worried.
Padme said, "I promise you Hordak, they'll be back in your arms as soon as possible. You have my word."
"Here come some stormtroopers", Slash whispered.
Melog purred as they used their magic to turn the group invisible.
The Stormtroopers walked by and didn't even notice them.
"That was easy", Shaak Ti said.
Hordak said, "don't get cocky. Things can always go south if we aren't careful. Now, let's find their cell. They should be in the cell block."
"Use the force, Hordak…. We might be able to sense them", Shaak Ti said as she closed her eyes.
Hordak did the same.
After a few moments, they felt it.
The energy of the children and Chewbacca. They felt the exact place where they were!
"Found them! Let's go", Hordak said as he led the group.
Ahsoka and Leon were sneaking through the ship.
"Found the room…. Come on Artoo", Ahsoka said.
Artoo followed the couple into the room, and the droid quickly hooked up to the systems as Leon and Ahsoka kept watch.
….
Hunter led his team into the engine room.
Hunter asked, "Tech…. Are the bomb's ready?"
Tech said, "indeed. Now we just have to keep Wrecker from setting them off early."
"Hey", Wrecker yelled.
"Everyone grab a bomb", Hunter said.
The Bad Batch members each grabbed a bomb and set it in various places on the engine.
….
"Keep it down in there", a trooper shouted.
Angela and Junior were crying, as was Aiden.
Chewie was cradling Grogu in his sleep as Rey tried to calm the other kids down.
"I want Daddy and Papa, Rey", Aiden cried.
Rey said, "I know you do. They'll be here any minute now, I just know it."
The troopers were then lifted into the air, before they were shot in the chest, "hey what's that...?"
Chewie stood up and stood in front of the kids.
The door to their cell opened up, and for a few moments, it was all quiet.
Until Hordak burst into the cell yelling, "WHERE'S MY BABIES?!"
"PAPA", Rey and Aiden shouted as they ran to their father.
Grogu, Angela and Junior reached their arms out towards their father.
Hordak used the force to bring all of the kids into his arms, nearly crying as he held them.
"Papa! We missed you", Aiden cried as he hugged his father.
"We were so scared that we thought we would never see our family again", Rey cried as she hugged her father.
Hordak said, "I was so terrified when they took you. I promise I'll never let them get you again. Now let's get you kids outta here, safe and sound away from the First Order."
Chewie growled.
"We didn't forget about you Chewie", Padme said as she went to hug Chewie.
Chewie hugged her warmly as Shaak Ti said, "now let's get back to the ship, before anyone spots us."
"Stay close to me", Hordak said to his children.
The children clung to Hordak as the group made their way through the halls.
….
"Come on, Artoo", Leon said.
Artoo beeped.
"He says he's almost done", Ahsoka said.
"Well hurry up", Ani said to the droid.
Artoo bleeped something crude before finishing up his work, and the group quickly started running out of the room.
"Hold it right there!"
The family stopped as they saw some stormtroopers aiming their blasters at them.
"Good work, troopers", Piett said.
Artoo bleeped something crude again that made Ani say, "jeez Artoo, you gotta stop hanging out with Chopper!"
The troopers led them to a room.
They were forced to line up as the troopers pointed their blasters at them.
"Let's give them a quick death", a trooper said.
Ani looked at his parents and said, "mom, dad. It's been an honor."
Ahsoka and Leon smiled sadly.
The family closed their eyes…. But then….
"Pew!"
They all slowly opened their eyes and turned to see that Piett had shot the troopers.
Ahsoka asked, "what the hell?"
Piett said, "hello sirs. Fulcrum agent Piett, at your service."
The three said, "what!?"
"I'll explain on the way", Piett said.
….
Hordak and his group were running through the hallways.
Hordak said, "we're almost at the ship. Let's hurry!"
Shaak Ti sensed something coming their way.
She said, "Hordak…. He's coming!"
"Vader", Hordak said with anger.
Just as the others got to the ship, Hordak stopped and turned back.
Rey yelled, "PaPa, come on!"
Hordak said, "get on the ship sweetie. Daddy's gotta take care of something."
"No…. Hordak…. I will take care of this", Padme said as she took out her lightsaber.
Hordak said, "but Padme-"
Padme growled, "your children need you. I'll hold him off. Just be ready to come and get me."
Hordak gave an unsure nod as he ran to the ship.
Padme then heard footsteps.
She slowly turned to see Vader approaching with several troopers.
Padme then felt the ship take off.
"Vader", Padme growled.
Vader, "Padme…. Well, at least that's one half of my plan completed. Now I just need our children."
"You'll never have them, Vader", Padme growled as she activated the lightsaber.
Vader activated his lightsaber and said, "nothing will stop me!"
Padme ran towards Vader and her lightsaber clashed with Vader's red saber.
The two sabers clashed violently as they kept striking one another!
Padme was able to block every one of Vader's strikes.
"You'll see I have gotten better at lightsaber combat", Padme shouted.
Vader said, "that may be, but I'm far more experienced!"
Padme jumped over Vader and kicked him in the back.
She tried slashing at him, but he was able to block the strike!
"Give up Padme! You and our children can't escape your destiny", Vader yelled.
Padme shouted, "destiny is overrated! And you're one to talk!"
Padme did a backflip to avoid a strike from Vader!
Padme said, "you must be as stupid as a Kashyykian Moof Milking, Nerf Herder!"
Vader screamed in anger as he lunged towards Padme!
Padme said, "oh sure, keep giving into anger! Cause that's worked great for you so far!"
Padme was able to strike Vader in the shoulder.
Padme said, "you know something about fear? When you let it consume you…. You lose sight of everything!"
Vader growled as he used the force to send Padme flying to a wall!
Padme managed to land her feet on the wall and launched herself back at Vader!
Padme quickly took out her staff and spun it around, saying, "come and get me. Or is little Ani scared of me?"
Vader roared in anger!
He ran at Padme and tried to do an overhead strike!
Padme quickly blocked the attack!
"This is why you can never win, Vader! You always let your hate and anger get the best of you", Padme shouted as she held her staff in front of her.
Vader shouted in rage as he lifted several crates into the air and sent them at Padme!
Padme activated her jetpack and flew in the air as she used the lightsaber to slash the crates in half!
She landed back on the ground and said, "give it up Vader. This ain't gonna turn out well for you."
Vader asked with a bit of sadness, "why? Padme? I just want to know…. Why won't you and our children join me?"
Padme said, "you wanna know why? Because the man I loved is dead. He died on Mustafar. And you killed him!"
"I'm right here Padme", Vader said with anger.
Padme said,"no. I wanted to believe that once. But I'm convinced…. Anakin Skywalker is gone. Darth Vader killed him when he choked me on Mustafar."
Vader had a look of sadness and anger.
Then the ship started to shake.
Padme underneath her helmet smirked as she knew Hunter and the Bad Batch had set off the bombs. As she backed up towards the large entrance of the hangar, they said, "well, I guess things are about to wrap up, aren't they?"
Then behind her the Silver Blade appeared.
"Padme…. Come on", Hunter shouted as he was on the ramp of the ship.
Padme activated her jetpack and said, "another time Vader!"
"STOP HER", Vader roared.
The troopers shot at Padme as she took to the air and flew towards the ship.
Hunter grabbed Padme's hand and once she was inside…. The Silver Blade took off into hyperspace.
Vader grew silent as the troopers all stood there.
One said, "uh, they got away…."
Vader didn't even flinch as he used the force to make them fly out the hangar.
The rest of the troopers then stepped back.
….
"Here is a shuttle we can take", Leon said.
"Wait…. Shoot me with your blaster", Piett said.
Ahsoka asked, "what?"
Piett said, "so they won't figure out that I'm the spy."
Ani quickly shot Piett in the leg, making him fall over.
Before they left, Leon asked, "why are you helping us?"
Piett said, "after the Death star, I had to do everything I could to make up for my mistakes. Also, take this", Piett said as he handed him a hard drive.
Ahsoka asked, "what is it?"
Piett said, "something to help you end all of this…. Now go!"
The Tano family quickly ran to the shuttle and got inside.
Piett watched as the shuttle took off and out of the hangar it was in, and quickly tried to get back to his feet.

"Sam, we got the kids and Chewie", Shaak Ti said into the Comlink.
Sam felt tears fall down his cheeks.
"Okay everyone, fall back! Follow the Silver Blade and Falcon", Sam said into the comlink.
All of the ships began to fly away from the battle and enter Hyperspace back to Coruscant.

Piett was in the control room of the ship.
Piett had a bandage tied around his leg and had a cane to support him.
"I tried to stop the rebels, my lord…. But they were too fast", Piett said feeling nervous and scared.
Vader looked out into space and said, "it figured that Tano and her family would overpower you. You've been slacking ever since the Death Star!"
"My lord….", Piett stuttered as he backed away.
Vader said, "I've kept you around this long, because most of our major leaders have been imprisoned, killed, or detected."
"My lord...", Piett said before he started to grab his neck as he was lifted into the air.
Vader said, "if I hear of any more failure from you, I'll break your neck and toss you into the nearest garbage disposal!"
"Lord Vader…. We have uncovered the spy", an officer said.
Piett started to choke as Vader kept him in the air with the force.
Vader asked, "and? Who is it? Tell me. I'm dying to know."
The officer played the video…. And it showed Piett helping the Tano family.
Vader finally turned to look at Piett and growled, "why? After all these years of service…. And you turn on us!?"
"Because…. It was wrong! We enslaved the galaxy! And you wanted to control through Fear and Power", Piett choked out.
Vader said, "you didn't seem to mind! What exactly changed?!"
"The Death star is what made me realize…. That what I was doing wasn't right", Piett choked out as he grabbed his neck.
Vader growled, "give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now?!"
Piett couldn't respond as he kept choking.
Vader yelled, "give me a damned answer!"
"You…. And the First…. Order…. Will lose…. The Jedi and Republic…. Will win….", Piett choked out.
Vader ignored his words and yelled, "GIVE ME A REASON PIETT!"
Piett's hands fell to his sides.
Vader growled as he dropped Piett, who was gasping for air.
Vader growled, "send him to the brig."
Two troopers grabbed Piett from off the ground.
The stormtroopers then carried Piett to his cell.
An officer asked, "my Lord, what are your orders now?"
Vader kept silent.
The officer asked again, "my lord?"
Vader stared out the viewport.
Vader said, "I will personally be pursuing Skywalker as he searches for the Wayfinder. Gather all of our forces together."
"Understood, my lord", the officer said as she walked away.
Vader then clenched his fist at the thought of his brother….
