Chapter 57: Loose Ends

Ahsoka said over the microphone, "May we have your attention please?"
Everyone looked towards Ahsoka as she said, "we have an important announcement. Now that the war is finally over, the Jedi order has carefully selected who shall become the new Grand Master of the order. Many people were considered, and even the best declined for personal reasons."
"It's our honor to announce that the next Grand Master will be….", Sam said with a smile on his face.

Leon was standing in front of all of the Jedi order at the temple.

Shaak Ti said, "and we'll be here to help guide you into this new role."
Leon smiled with tears in his eyes.
"Proud of you, I am."
When Leon heard that voice, it made him feel more confident that he could fill the role Master Yoda had taken when leading the order.
"A great Grand Master, I know you will be", Yoda's voice chuckled.
Leon smiled as he said, "thank you all. Your confidence in me really helps…."
The rest of the Jedi went to hug their friend.
Leon shed a single tear as he was embraced by his friends and family.
And to cap it all off, he asked, "so…. Will I get a bigger chair?"

Ilum
The Ebon Hawk landed on the planet.
The first people to walk out were Ashla and Prime, followed by their sons, Ash and Sokka.
Behind them was Aiden wearing a warm coat to protect him from the cold.
Sam and Hordak followed behind them.
Rey was behind her parents as she followed them.
Sam said, "ah, the gathering. Makes me feel like it was only yesterday I received my Kyber Crystals."
"I know Dad…. I'm really happy that my little brother is finally going to get to build his lightsaber", Rey said with a smile on her face.
Hordak asked, "I wonder if he will find one or two Crystals?"
Sam said, "imagine if he found three! That would be one Hell of an experience."
The group then made it to the temple and Leon was there waiting for them.
Sam smiled and said, "hello GrandMaster Leon."
"That's going to take me a while to get used to that", Leon said with a shrug.
Hordak chuckled and said, "well, at least you'll have a few hundred years to do it."
Leon chuckled as he rubbed his head.
"Welcome Younglings to the Gathering" Leon said with a smile on his face.
Aiden and the twins looked around in awe of the temple they were in.
"In this temple and in that cave you will go search for your Kyber Crystals", Leon said as he showed the kids his lightsaber.
He ignited the weapon and swung it around for a moment before extinguishing it.
Aiden asked his parents, "Dad…. Papa…. Can I really do this on my own?"
Sam said, "Aiden, I know you can do this. You are Aiden Amidala Skywalker. And you can do anything when you put your mind to it."
"And remember….", Hordak said.
"Always trust in the force", Aiden said, then his parents hugged him.
Aiden smiled before turning towards the tunnel and raving down it, now confident in his hunt for his Kyber Crystal.
Ash and Sokka asked, "Mom? Dad?"
Ashla asked, "what is it?"
Sokka asked, "how are we going to know which Crystal is ours?"
Ashla said, "they say that the crystal that's yours will glow and call to you."
"Like Hordak said…. Trust in the force", Prime said with a smile.
The boys nodded before hugging their parents and racing after Aiden.
"This cave is so big", Aiden said in awe.
"And it's so cold in here", Ash said as he shivered.
Sokka said, "no one better dare me to lick the ice…. Again."
Aiden asked, "which way now?"
All three boys looked forward towards three different tunnels.
"I hear a whistle", Ash said.
"I hear something calling my name", Aiden said.
"I hear a ringing", Sokka said.
All three boys followed the noises they heard down each tunnel.
Aiden was walking through a tunnel and he found himself in an area where there was sunlight.
Aiden saw a small lake and on the other side he could see something glowing.
He looked at the various floating ice formations in the lake, and got an idea for how to get across to the glowing.
"The force is with me…. The force is with me….", Aiden chanted over and over again as he reached his hand out.
He began walking on the ice as the crystal began floating towards him.
Aiden then felt the crystal in his hand.
"Cool! I can't wait to show it to Dad and Papa", Aiden giggled.
He carefully made his way back to the stable ice and began running back to the others.
Ash was a dark tunnel.
"It's so scary", Ash said with fear.
As he made his way down, he saw a glowing in the distance.
"That whistle is starting to get louder", Ash said as he walked towards the glowing object.
He steeled his nerves as he made his way further down the tunnel towards the glowing light.
Ash then saw in front of him…. A Kyber Crystal!
Ash then walked forward and he reached his hand out…. And grabbed the crystal.
Ash smiled at the crystal before bolting off back to the others.
Sokka asked as he looked around, "where could the crystals be?"
Sokka was in a huge cavern, where there didn't seem to be any crystals in sight.
Sokka said as he looked around, "how am I going to find my crystal?"
Sokka closed his eyes, trying to listen for his crystal.
Sokka reached his hand out and tried to sense the crystal.
After a few moments…. He felt something!
Sokka then opened his eyes and he walked towards where his crystal was.
He grabbed the crystal and smiled as he stared at it.
….
Ashla asked, looking worried, "the kids are taking a bit too long don't you think?"
Leon said, "patience. It shouldn't take too long for them to finish this up."
Aiden then walked out first.
"Dad! Papa", Aiden said as he ran towards them.
Sam and Hordak held their arms out as Aiden ran into them.
Sam asked with a smile on his face, "how did it go, little one?"
Aiden then showed his parents the crystal.
He said, "I had to get this from across a lake. I had to use my patience to get it."
Hordak asked, "you didn't fall or get wet, did you Aiden?"
Aiden replied, "no. I was very careful not to fall in."
"We're very proud of you little imp", Hordak said with a smile on his face.
Ash and Sokka then walked out of the cave.
Ashla and Prime ran to the boys as they held up their crystals.
"We found our crystals, Mom, Dad", Sokka said with a smile on his face.
Ashla hugged the boys and said, "oh, I'm so proud of my little men."
Prime then hugged his children.
Leon smiled and said, "well done. Each of you have received your Kyber Crystals. And now, you will build your lightsabers."
….
Timeskip
The parents were waiting for their children to finish building their lightsabers.
Ash's lightsaber looked exactly like Ahsoka's, while Sokka's looked like a mix of Anakin and Leon's sabers.
Prime said with a soft smile on his face, "turn them on, let's see what colors are your lightsabers?"
Ash turned on his saber, revealing a light blue.
Sokka's saber was revealed as green.
Aiden's lightsaber was an orange glow!
"Aiden's design for his lightsaber is cool", Sokka said with a smile.
Aiden smirked and said, "you ain't seen it all yet. Watch this."
Aiden pressed the button again, revealing two very small blades near the top of the saber.
Aiden said, "crossguard."
Hordak asked, "a crossguard lightsaber?"
Aiden said, "it's design makes it easier to defend oneself when in a duel."
"I don't think that lightsaber design has been used since the High Republic era", Sam said in thought.
Aiden said, "well, they say you can't beat the classics."
Prime asked, "who will be Ash and Sokka's masters?"
Leon said, "Ahsoka and Ventress have offered to teach them."
Ashla asked, "but which Jedi Temple are they going to train in?"
Sam replied, "the temple on Etheria."
"Looks like we are going to have to move to Etheria, boys", Ashla said as smiled at her children.
The boys gave bashful smiles at the statement.
And with that, the ship was headed back to Etheria….
….
Timeskip
Ash and Sokka had helmets covering their heads as they each had their lightsabers activated.
Ashla and Prime were watching nearby.
They focused on the force around them as the small droids floated in the air, shooting at them.
"Ouch", Sokka hissed in pain as a droid blasted him in the back.
"Remember Sokka…. The force will be your eyes", Ventress said to her padawan.
Ahsoka said, "don't trust your eyes. They can betray you. Use the force to block the shots."
Ash quickly blocked a shot from a droid!
Sokka quickly blocked two shots!
Ventress said, "good, keep at it."
Ahsoka said, "yes, yes, you're doing great!"
Ash and Sokka then slashed the droids in half!
Ventress and Ahsoka nodded their approval at their students' skills.
Prime and Ashla walked over to their sons.
They had very proud looks upon their faces.
Sokka asked, "how did we do?"
Ahsoka said, "very good."
"We just know you two are going to become strong Jedi", Prime said with a smile on his face.
….
Naboo
Sam and Hordak were training their children.
Aiden and Rey were having a friendly duel with their sabers.
Aiden clashed his saber with Rey's yellow lightsaber.
Rey said, "impressive display, little brother."
Aiden smirked as he used the force to push Rey back.
Aiden said, "we've both had great teachers."
"Okay that's enough training for today", Hordak said as he walked towards his children.
Rey and Aiden deactivated their sabers before going over and hugging their fathers.
Sam asked softly, "how does it feel, Aiden?"
Aiden said, "great. I feel just like you guys."
"Let's go home…. It's almost time for dinner", Hordak said with a smile on his face.
The kids smile before dashing to the ship.
Sam and Hordak smiled as they put their arms around each other and watched the kids dash off, with D-O, BB8 and Hamill racing behind them.
Sam and Hordak kissed each other on the lips. The sun seemed to line up right behind them, as they held one another.
Hordak then picked up Sam and carried him bridal style.
Sam blushed as he wrapped his arms around Hordak's neck.
The two walked back into the ship, absolutely ecstatic about the life they had, and unexcited to see where things would go from there….
