The ones who had robbed AlaricKlaus opened the sachet they stole hoping they would have stolen a piece of jewelry or watch or something like that but what comes out of there is a small bottle filled with the enchanted liquid. One of the robbers mocks the other, "Congratulations you stole someone's medicine"

They were drunk, they were laughing and in that drunken state they start playing with that bottle, the bottle slips from their hands and rolls into one of the gutters. "Huh, you lost your today's theft." One of the robbers says and then they disperse.

Preparations are at large, Elena was shaken after believing Bonnie died, she does something unexpected, she goes to the root cellar in the Salvatore house and removes the dagger from Elijah's heart.

Klaus was bent on turning Elena into a vampire and then taking her away with him, Jeremy remembered it all but on Klaus' insistence decided to stay quiet, only till Klaus locates that serum.

Klaus agreed to stay with Eve at her house with his hidden motive which was to sacrifice her in the next full moon.

"Walk with me" she says and he does, she takes him to the room on the same level as hers, "Please get yourself comfortable here, I will ask the maid to cook something for you."

Klaus wants to take advantage of the situation and wants to be her confidant, just as she is about to leave he stops her and asks, "Eve, may I dare ask, how come you know English so well even though you live in France."

Eve smiles and answers, "Oh, I wasn't born in France, I am from Albion, I was married to a French man."

(AN:- Dear readers, I googled the oldest name of Britain and it said Albion, since Klaus is a British guy in this one, I am using that to be the name of the old land)

"Oh as it happens to be, I am from Albion myself" Klaus says putting his best smile on his face, "What a pleasant thing to meet someone from my hometown, tell me Eve, how did I not know that such a beautiful woman was born and raised in my homeland."

Klaus was doing his best to flirt with her, to get in her good books and after what Eve went through after her husband's death she knew she couldn't run this empire alone, she would need a man to give command, and she was hoping that in the future whenever she keeps the proposal this man would agree to marry her.

Eve smiled and answered, "Just as I didn't know that such a valiant man existed in my homeland, had I known earlier, I would have married you instead."

Klaus smiles, "Oh I would be delighted to have a woman as beautiful as you by my side."

Eve blushes, "Mr Klaus, I think I must leave, I have to order the servants to prepare for dinner."

"Eve, do you mind if I prepare dinner for the three of us today."

"The three of us" Eve says, "No, the servants, food is prepared for them too, I would not want to burden you with preparing food for so many."

"What type of servants Miss Eve, these servants didn't stood by you just because you were a woman, why don't you fire them."

"Because if I do, I don't know if they will get another job or not, and more importantly, who will feed their family if I fire them."

Klaus keeps his hands on her upper arms, "Eve, just listen to what you are saying and then see what these servants did to you, these are the same servants who could have stood by you and kept your child safe but instead they followed the orders of that usurper, if they get food in their plate or not, is up to them, it is their actions because of which I want you to expel them not yours, what they did is on them. Just tell me Eve what you will do if I was gone and these servants start serving another and you and your child have to suffer for it again."

Eve thinks, after some time, as Klaus asked, every servant is out thrown, they're all jobless and a few beg to stay and Eve's heart is melted, she can't see anyone begging, she is about to give them their jobs back when Klaus walks and stands next to her, "You all are thrown out of the castle because you betrayed the very woman on whose pay you were and no way are any of you getting your job back, now leave."

His voice has a threat to it, his cold voice scares them and they leave. Eve watches as she her son and this new man who had saved her this very day are the only ones left at her place, she walks back into the castle.

Klaus notices that Eve is probably upset about it, he walks to her and says, "Don't you worry, I have send word, new people will come to serve you tomorrow."

"Servants are not the thing I am worried about Nik"

He keeps a finger under her chin and lifts her face to meet her eyes, "So what is it that worries you love"

"With my husband gone, I have only as much wealth as he left for me, but with his businesses left unattended soon I will have to sell land, it's not considered good if women go out and work, all I can do is teach but people don't want to educate girl child, they want to only educate their."

"If finances are your only concern love then don't you worry, I will represent your husband in whatever business he was supposed to attend, tell me."

Eve looks at him, he is giving hopes to her, hopes she never thought could be fulfilled, but his great show of kindness is all what she needs right now and the affection he shows her makes her believe that he won't cheat her.

"After dinner"

"My son would be hungry, I will give you the details after dinner, once he has fallen asleep."

Klaus goes to the kitchen to cook, he wanted Eve to stay out while he does but Eve insisted that she stays as she would love to learn his recipe. That night he prepares dinner for three, Eve sets the table as he brings out the pot that he prepared, Eve brings out her son, who has taken a good sleep in that time.

"Do you mind if I feed him today" he says

"Sure" Eve answers, she is happy to see that her son is getting along well with someone. Soon there is a bang on the door, someone breaks open it and a few men walk in to their dining room and grab the young boy.

Klaus stands up from his seat, "Put the boy down" he says in a husky voice, which has threat implied to it.

One of the man says, "No, the man who owned this boy and that woman, he sold the boy to us, he was about to bring the boy to us when we heard the news that some guy with golden curly hair murdered him, when we collected more info, we learned that the same guy brought the boy home. Now this boy comes with me."

Eve stands up and says, "No one owns me or my boy, whoever you have dealt with, was a fraud, you have been given wrong information now leave my son."

"No way, I have already paid his price, he comes with me and if you argue, we will take you with us too."

"Your dispute is with that man, go collect your debt from him not us"

"Oh but you are a woman whose husband died right, you and this young lad are the only two left, so I claim the two of you to be…"

He was not able to complete his sentence as Klaus tore his tongue out, the man drops Jeremy out of agonizing pain he felt as a part of his body was torn out of him in a blink, Klaus holds Jeremiah from hitting the ground, Eve hugs Jeremiah and covers his eyes with her palm.

The man stares in shock as he sees his tongue thrown away at a far corner in his room, others in that room are scared of him, the man whose organ was just ripped out, falls to his knees in pain as he covers his mouth with his palm to stop the surplus amount of blood pooling out.

Others watch in shock and they grab their weapons, swords, ready to fight to kill the man who did this to their leader, Klaus smirks, "I am giving you a fair warning, leave and I will spare your life, stay and I will kill you all in the most agonizing way possible."

One of those men looks at Eve, then at Klaus and then back at Eve, "You think your new ally could stop us. We are in numbers, we will first kill him like we killed your husband, then we will take you, your son, your land, everything."

His threat makes Eve scared, she is a scholar not a warrior, the man commands his men, "Attack."

Klaus laughs, "Death it is, I will gladly kill you all"

The man who was in his knees because Klaus tore his tongue out, he was the nearest to Klaus, he takes his blade out and pushes it across his shin, he wants an organ for an organ, it is only that he is horrified when he sees the wound his sword made heal itself, he looks up and Klaus smirks, "I would start with you."

He grabs the man by his neck and lifts him up to stand, soon his hold over his neck becomes harder and harder and he eventually rips his head off with his bare hands. Even Eve is terrified seeing this side of Klaus, she picks Jeremiah up, goes to her room and hides him in a closet, she peeps through the window to see what happens outside.

The men attack Klaus one by one and Eve notices that Klaus' wounds heal on their own, she is terrified who did she bring into the house and then she sees his eyes turn dark, veins underneath them, she sees as his fangs grow out and he compels them to be still and then feeds on their blood, sucking every drop of their blood till they die.

She sees as the man she had started to fancy just a few hours ago tears those men limb by limb taking satisfaction in their agony. Once all the screaming from those men ends Klaus could hear a heart beating very fast, he looks at the window, his eyes meet Eve's terrified ones, she was scared of him, she had seen him for what he is.

Klaus stands up and wipes the blood flowing down his chin with the back of his palm. He wipes a drop of blood from the side of his lips and walks to her, "Eve open the door, I have taken care of them."

Eve is terrified, she stands on the other side of the door, her back pressed to it, she had no idea she was fancying a monster and now that she has seen him, she is not letting him in, not in the same room as her son at least.

"Eve I know you're scared, but let me tell you, I mean no harm to you and your son."

Eve looks at the closet, she was planning to leave this place when those evil men had her locked in her own house, she had made a cloth rope by knotting multiple bed sheets, she thinks of running away with her child, she leaves the door and opens the closet, she takes out the cloth rope and ties one end to the bed, she throws the other end down on the ground, she takes her son Jeremiah and wraps him around her back with a stole.

She takes the rope and goes down, once she has reached the ground, Klaus bang opens the door thinking she is in trouble, he sees the cloth rope and vamps to the window, he sees Eve down on the ground, her son wrapped in her back with a large piece of cloth, she looks up, their eyes meet for a while and then she turns to run, to run away from him.

Klaus jumps from the window and stands right before her, "You are not going anywhere" Eve was shocked, she saw him there up and now here he is, right in front of her, she lacks the right words to express her shock and fear but Klaus reads right through her, she is terrified of him, he holds her upper arms and compels her,

"You're scared of me, don't be."

And just like that, fear is gone, Eve comes back to her senses, "I am not scared of you Klaus, I am worried for my son, what if you feed on him, take him away from me, he is all I have."

"Eve, I swear to you on the very Gods you worship that I will never bring harm to your son, ever."

These words mean a lot to her, "Now shall we go back" Klaus asks and Eve nods. Now that the curtain is up, Klaus doesn't has to pretend to be human anymore, holding both her arms, he vamps them both up in her room.

Eve is still quiet, she is not scared but she is still processing all that had happened, all that she had learned this day, Klaus Mikaelson, a man, or a monster, she is confused. She looks at him through the mirror as he unties the stole she used to tie Jeremiah to her.

"What are you?" she mutters looking at his reflection and he looks at her eyes through the very mirror, "I am your greatest strength in your time of need" he answers to her.
