I Don't Own the Slayers. I just Borrow them!

Insane, vengeance crazed monsters, Lina could deal with. People who were supposed to be dead, but somehow showed up later on in the week, she could handle. Idiots who insisted on constantly insulting her physique she could Fireball into the next millennia. Gourry, staring at her while she tried to focus on a spell that would dry their drenched forms and keep them warm throughout the night, made her insane.

This wasn't the first time he had stared at her while she was casting a spell, either. Lately the staring, with that odd look in his eyes, had become more frequent. Sometimes she would notice the staring while she was eating a particularly delicious meal. Other times he would stare at her while they walked down a warm, sunny path.

She felt the spell she was casting slipping out of her control and let it dissipate, growling in frustration. She couldn't take his staring anymore, it was driving her mad. It was his fault she was having problems casting spells, and she was going to let him know it, in the loudest way possible.

Rounding on him suddenly, her eyes burning with anger and annoyance, she screamed at him, at the top of her lungs.

"Damn it Gourry! Why are you staring at me!"

He jumped visibly at the sudden change in her mood, and blinked a few times, looking confused and slightly hurt. "Because I love you, Lina."

His tone was so casual, and the words sounded so easy, almost as if he had expected her to already know his answer. She blinked, confused and dazed as her anger evaporated.

"Oh..." she said softly, her voice barely audible. "I love you too Gourry.."

Returning to her previous stance, she tried once more to finish her spell.
