"She will be here anytime now", Kim Chin Sun said glancing at Woo Bin who was looking at his watch for the 3rd time.
It was 9.05am, 8 people waiting in the conference room. Woo Bin had started to get slightly agitated given his hangover from previous night was not helping him, though no one made him wait for any of the meetings thinking how unprofessional it was not showing up on time.
There was a bang as the door to the conference room opened Woo Bin murmured "What's today with the door and noise" as he turned towards the door.
Rolls of paper looked like architectural drawings drooped on the floor a girl scrambled to pick them up and bowed apologetically as she was trying to gather herself.
Woo Bin arched an eyebrow as he saw the thick curly hair started to introduce herself. "Hi I'm Mira Rao, the Senior Designer apologies for the delay…" she looked around found a known pair of eyes staring at her. She was wearing a blazer over her white button down T-Shirt from morning her and sneakers where replaced for a black loafer.
Kim Chin Shu visibility let out a relief sign "Mira please take a seat. This is Mr. Song Woo Bin the owner of Song construction we will be working for the hospital project and also our contractor". Pointed towards the seat opposite to Woo Bin. They both nodded at each other.
The meeting started as Mrs. Kim Chin Shu started with the presentation about the scope of the project and timeline. Woo Bin looking at Mira smirked "Oh so that asshole you were complaining was me.. Tsk Tsk is this how you treat your client Miss Rao". Mira cringed at the comment and proceed to say "Oh well Mr Song heard a lot about you. Finally got to meet you and please just Mira".
"Huh. Mira meaning like the future! Well hope I keep up with my reputation "he grinned "Please just Woo-Bin is fine" Woo Bin smiled.
Mira was taking notes thinking how the coworkers where excited for today's meeting looking at the girls across table who were blushing glancing at the "Mr. Irresistible. Ugh" she thought.
Mira started to present her blueprints for the hospital she went on presenting floor plan and details of layout her think black hair where getting her way she found a pencil pulling her hair back to a messy bun placed the pencil to keep it in place. Woo Bin watching her noticed how she nonchalant she looked.
As the meeting ended Chin Sun pulled in Mira towards Woo Bin. "Mr. Song I have to mention that our firm wouldn't have been able to support your charity project for hospital construction if Miss Mira here had not agreed to take this project on without any payment towards for her contribution".
Mira: "Please Mama It's a please to be part of the cause" and smiled.
Woo Bin: "Well Miss Mira thanks for the support in that case I must accompany you on tour of the construction site ".
Woo Bin got out of his car and took on the helmet handed over by one of the worker as he approached the construction site hearing a commotion headed towards it.
"how can this be missed in the plan" he heard and a smile crept his lips as he walked towards a 2 people trying to converse in broken Korean and English.
Mira heard someone clearing the throat and all eyes moved towards the noise. The men on site straightened themselves and bowed "Morning Boss".
"Well, What's going on "he glanced towards Mira as he was questioning his men.
There were some kind of explaining to Woo Bin from his men since they were conversing a bit faster and in low tone Mira was trying to pay attention to the conversation.
Woo Bin walk toward Mira "Mira I apologies for the miss communication from my team this should have been communicated "
" since this effects our plan I hope you will understand we will have to redo some of our design meaning pushing our timeline" .
"Yes we can discuss about this in our next meeting" Woo Bin pointing towards ahead "shall we continue the rest of inspection"
They were having some small talks about the site and plans Woo Bin asked "So how long have you been in Korea"
"I just joined this firm 6 month ago"
"Huh I head you speak some Korean.. interesting you have picked up the language quickly"
"haha credits to KDrama's … Big fan here". Mira let out an embarrassing smile "Oh also my office colleagues they have been helping me a lot".
"So what brings you here.. Don't tell me you came in search of the hero" Woo Bin winked an eye.
"Well actually it's my Mentor who refereed me to this agency, I have always loved travelling and this was an existing opportunity "Mira smiled "Also maybe will bump into my price charming will see".
"I heard your company is constructing without taking any profit " Mira asked.
"Yes actually the hospital belongs to my friend Yoon Ji-Hoo foundation established by his grandfather "
"You both seems close taking this big of a charity project"
"Yes actually he is one of the three friends.. we grew up together" Woo Bin heart filled with joy when he thought of them soon replaced by a sad thought how it was it felt ages ago they all used to hang out every day and how much he missed them.
They continued site inspection exploring the grounds.
"Thanks for the accompanying for today will see you in our next meeting "They departed as they said their good byes.
Woo Bin started driving when he noticed a message and a smile crept on his face.
"Yo.. Bro's long time" Woo Bin announced as he walked through the F4 lounge Yi Jeong playing at the pool table, Joon Pyo was playing the video game and Ji Hoo tuning his guitar. It felt like high school again.
"Look who finally showed up" Joon Pyo signed putting down the controller walking towards the pool table. They all hugged each other a little longer they did not have to say how they have missed each of them.
"So what's up how is married life, how is Ga Eul and Jan Di doing" Woo Bin asked as he looked at Yi Jeong and Joon Pyo.
"We just got back yesterday night, Ga Eul is at home preparing to return back to her teaching work"
"Yeah I just got back from Hong Kong will be around for few more days before flying to New York and Jan Di is busy at hospital, Yish that girl did not even take off to be with me today" Joon Pyo signed.
"Looks like someone not getting any " Yi Jeong and Woo Bin snickered.
"yah yah" Joon Pyo shouted
"well at least hope he did not end up getting spin kicked " Ji Hoo added
All there laughing at Joon Pyo expense.
"Ji Hoo how the practice going heard your starting a new hospital project" Joon Pyo trying to divert the topic also curios to learn what Ji Hoo was doing.
"It's been busy, Ah yes we are still in starting phase and Mr Song here is in charge of the construction project".
"The hospital plans are coming out well we have just started discussing and finalizing design plans, I'm just returning from the site visit with the engineer" Woo Bin filled in turning towards Ji Hoo.
"Well look who is retiring from Don Juan title" Ji Yeong patting on Woo Bin shoulder.
"Oh Bro what with the assumption, who said you one cannot work and also party. unlike someone I'm not letting the women of Korea down. I have a reputation to maintain ".
"Yah don't you think it time up to give up your playboy lifestyle and settle down you need a home to comeback everyday not just a nightclub" Joon Pyo commented with a concern.
They all could see Woo Bin was looking tiered and bit down though he out up a biggest simile.
"Oh man what's with the life lecture" Woo Bin trying to ignore the lecture. "Well let's toast Man I need a drink" Woo Bin walking towards the bar.
It has been a month they always had the design meeting on every Monday at 9am. Woo Bin and Mira had been a little more at ease at each other and discovered they both had a great passion for architecture and design they would get on well and talk about it for hours during meeting and later catch up for a coffee. Mira had softened a little more towards Woo Bin he wasn't just handsome face and his reputation she had heard a lot, well still continued seeing how girls stare at him but to her he was always just a simple guy who she could have a great talk.
Woo Bin was at a one of his night club as just like every Friday, He had women on both side of him but for some reason he did feel like being intimate towards them he felt void even among sea of people. Joon Pyo's words came to his mind and how his friends had seen right through him 'no fooling those idiots 'he though.
His phone started ringing 'it's not a good news' noticing the number he picked up the call "yeah.. ok I will be there "His face turned more serious and eye going darker as he heard to rest of the phone call.
It was few weeks after Mira was in the usual Monday meeting with the Song construction group she looked disappointed looking around for the know face and the eyes she as been expecting but he had missed last few weeks meeting and none of his team members explained or talked about it, they all went on with business as usual.
Mira not able to resist any more she leaned towards Woo Bin secretary whispering "Is Mr. Song alright why hasn't he been joining any of the meetings"
"Miss Rao, Mr. Song is taking care of his other business "and added "actually Mr. Song don't usually attend any of the regular meetings after the initial design confirmation we are all surprised he was attending these meeting for so long".
Mira signed not sure why she felt disappointed and how she had gotten used chatting whit him occasional drop off he used to offer in his obnoxious yellow car, not seeing him around anymore shrugged her feelings and 'focus' she reminded herself.
It was around 10pm "Thanks for the drop off I enjoyed the party.. oh god how I had missed our Bollywood music and dance" Mira said to her friend as she got down from the passenger side of the car as Raj was holding the door. Raj hugged her quickly she wasn't expecting it was taken back but quickly broke the hug and turned towards her apartment as he had drooped of on the opposite side of the road.
As she was trying to cross the road "have a good night" she heard Raj say as he drove she turned and waved back and suddenly noticed someone leaning across the black Cadillac SUV she blinked a few times to make sure she wasn't dreaming she remember not seeing any car just a moment ago or was she just imagining.
Woo Bin lost a breath when he saw Mira getting of the car and hugging the guy he wasn't sure why he was standing there or why he had asked his driver to drive here. But felt a slight tingle when he saw her they both started at each other for a few seconds as though both trying to think they are not dreaming.
She started to walk towards him carefully as she was looking both ways trying to cross the road she was wearing a white saree with big bright flower prints. "What are you doing here". she said as she approached him asking
