"All cats old enough to catch their own Prey come to the great rock!" a voice rung throughout the Clan. Cats from all around gathered around as Silverstar climbed up on the highrock to look down at everycat. One by one, cats came and sat down. "Hey Snowpaw!" a sharp whisper called. It was Bluepaw. "Over here! Come sit next to me!" Snowpaw agreed and she sat at a perfect angle of to the view. Quinpaw sat beside her and then the other apprentices joined them. The warriors sat around them and the queens sat with their kits on the side.
"Cats of RiverClan! I am declared a Clan meeting for something I am very excited about. I will be declaring RiverClan's new warriors." a flutter of excitement flooded the plain. Mothpaw, Quinpaw and Snowpaw looked at eachother, excited. Were they going to become warriors? But then the dreading realisation hit them. They were young. Too young. "If I could have, Bluepaw and Cherrypaw to come up." Cherrypaw looked with sadness at her friend who was still an apprentice before following Bluepaw on the Highrock. "Bluepaw, you have served your Clan well and I'm sure you will keep doing that as a warrior. And Cherrypaw, you have been kind and loyal, your fighting techniques are outstanding, and I hope you will use them well in battle." Snowpaw's ears drooped. She wasn't old enough to be a warrior. Plus, she had missed out some of her training her injury. She threw Quinpaw a hard glare of hatered before looking back up to see her friends becoming warriors. Quinpaw flinched but said nothing. Mothpaw looked at them both with curiosity before resuming his observation. However they had missed what their metors had to say.
"Bluepaw, you promise to serve you Clan even with your life?" Silverstar continued.
"I do." Bluepaw nodded. His fur bristled in the breeze the swayed around them.
"Then, from now on, your name shall be Blueflame." Blueflame looked with pride as he puffed out his chest to look big and mighty. She did the same for Cherrypaw, "Then, from today, I declare your name to be Cherryflower. Now you must both sit in vigil." Cats all around were cheering for the new apprentices.
"Blueflame! Cherryflower!" they chanted. Bluflame looked proud while Cherryflower a little shy. They both came down. Then Silverstar continued.
"Tonight, there will be a Gathering. And I would like to declare who will be going." Murmers arose from the crowd. "I would like to bring along Cherryflower, Blueflame, Honeywing, Snowpaw, Quinpaw, Mothpaw, Lionfoot, Stalewing and Browndust." murmers of agreement arose. Silverstar looked around at all the cats then nodded. "Then this meeting is over." The cats scattered and the day continued as usual, except Blueflame and Cherryflowe in vigil for the day.
Snowpaw followed Quinpaw and Stalewing with her mentor. Lionfoot brushed against Stalewing, which somehow knocked her over. In shock he turned around to help. She stood up and said it was fine. Quinpaw tried to do the same to Snowpaw but she held her stand. Mothpaw joined them with his mentor, Darkfang. "Hey Mothpaw? Are you excited?" Snowpaw eagerly said.
"Yeah, this is our first Gathering. Hey Quinpaw!" Quinpaw turned her head to his direction. "Make sure to not fall in love with another Clan cat." he said jokingly. He and Snowpaw laughed while Quinpaw turned her head to hide it in her fluff. Mothpaw jumped over Snowpaw to brush against Quinpaw, "I'm just joking!" she looked back at him and jokingly knocked him over before ingaging in a play-fight.
"Quinpaw! Mothpaw! You are not kits!" Lionfoot demanded. Before Snowpaw could turn her head to them, the two siblings shuffled to their paws and continued walking. Lionfoot nodded and looked forward again before mutttering "You'll repr r had to sitesent RiverClan." Darkfang stalked to Lionfoot and began to talk to him. "Calm down, it's not that bad, plus, we're almost there!" Snowpaw assured her brother. Mothpaw didn't look up though but kept walking. Blueflame and Cherryflower were behind them, chatting. Then a realisation hit her Snowpaw. Was Blueflame not interested in her, but her best friend? She sighed and looked miserable until Cherryflower bounded forward. "Hi, Snowpaw! It really is say that you did not become a warrior too. But don't worry, you will be one soon. Oh yeah and," Cherrypaw bent down to whisper in Snowpaw's ear. Snowpaw's eyes glimmered with joy and she began to leap forward. Cherryflower giggled and threw a glance at Blueflame, he was looking at the grass and nowhere else. Then she stopped and tripped Blueflame down. "What was that for?" He yowled.
"We have to sit in vigil, mouse-brain. I spoke to Silverstar. She said we only need to escort the cats out, and since the gathering is very close to us, on that island, then it would still be RiverClan territory. Now come on, we have a Clan to protect, and in silence." She said sharply. Blueflame stood up and shook himself before joining her.
"We're here." Loinfoot announced. The cats scattered as other Clans joined. WindClan, ThunderClan, and finally, ShadowClan arrived.
