Insecure Incident

Izuku Midoriya was walking to school, in the rain, without his umbrella, "That Mina, the note she left could have at least had an apology on it."

"You called!" Mina Ashido sang out as she appeared next to Izuku, with his umbrella, smugly twirling it.

Izuku simply rolled his eyes at her spontaneous appearance, he was too used to it by now. "Oi, if you're going to take my things regardless, at least say sorry or thanks." He scolded her.

Mina feigned a gasp before playfully berating him, smacking his shoulder, "Idiot, if I didn't take it, then all the romance would have been sucked out of you walking Yaomomo home in the rain! Look at this ridiculous umbrella, Izuku! I was embarrassed walking home with it, you should be grateful to me!"

"Ack, why is your gag always to hit me?" He sheepishly fended off her attack as he thought about what she said, "I mean, I guess you have a point, we were talking about the rain, I probably would have changed the subject to All-Might if I had my umbrella because of how my nervous ramblings go," And he didn't realize he was going on another rambling of how bad yesterday could have gone.

But from context clues, Mina was able to pick up that things did go well between them. Her eyes instantly lighting up, wanting to talk about romance, "So then how did things between you two go? Especially after her how close you guys were, yesterday at school!"

"Eh? You noticed."

Mina chuckled with her toothy grin, "It was pretty obvious," For her at least.

Izuku scratched his cheek a bit embarrassed but also appreciated Mina's subtlety because she was usually the one who could get overzealous about those things. "Um, it was pretty obvious huh? But you're right things are actually really great, M-Momo b-became m-my g-girlfriend!" It stilled caused his stomach to swirl at the fact that he was dating Yaoyorozu.

"Really! That's great, Izuku!" Mina tackled him into a hug, wrapping one arm around his neck while pushing the umbrella into his hands, letting him hold it up for them. After she let go of him, she began to tease him about the umbrella, "See if it wasn't for me, this umbrella would have ruined everything." She praised herself with a pat on the back.

"Don't you think you're kinda exaggerating?" Although Izuku did repeat his thanks, mentioning that she did help with more as well. Mina was the one who helped him got over his inability to talk to girls and that also played a part in Momo becoming his girlfriend.

Momo Yaoyorozu was being driven to school. She left out an infatuated sigh, the closer they got, thinking of spending time with her Izuku.

"Excuse me, Miss?" Her driver got her attention.

"Hm, yes what is it?"

"Is that the boy that you are becoming well acquainted with? Do you want me to pull over?"

"I-Izuku! Where?" She searched the sidewalk until she spotted him with Ashido.

'It's most likely nothing,' And then she noticed them hugging under the All-Might umbrella, and after, Ashido was teasing him about it. She saw how he was holding it over her, the both of them walking under the rain with their sunshine smiles.

"N-No, go on ahead... I wouldn't want to interrupt them." Her voice wanted to be cold and yet, it held her insecurity.
