Idol Pair?

Izuku and Mina walked into the classroom with some chuckles and smiles.

Momo Yaoyorozu was in her seat, facing the window, her eyes focused on the gray abyss in the sky. Her nails softly scratched at the desk with a tapping effect that mirrored her piano.

"Hey everyone, guess what!?" Mina bursted in front of the classroom getting all of their attention.

"O-Oi, Mina you can't just-," Izuku tried to stop her from announcing it but was too late.

"Izuku and Yaomomo are dating! Isn't that great! I've been teasing him about it all morning!" She chuckled with a grin as she rubbed her nose.

"Why are you talking like it's your accomplishment?!" Izuku scolded again.

Although that statement did take Momo aback. Her fingers no longer tapping at the desk. 'How foolish of me, I was assuming too much like always, Ashido is simply expressing her joy... And yet-,'

Before she could expand her thoughts, she was surrounded by the girls of the classroom while Izuku was mobbed by the guys.

"YOU GUYS ARE DATING?!" The class asked the two of them for confirmation.

Izuku had to fend off Mineta while Kaminari gave him a pat on the back asking for details.

Momo had a small sweatdrop at the girls being gushy for her newly found relationship with Izuku.

He was at the front of the class and she was in her seat. The both of them locked eyes from across the room, amongst the friends swarming them. Izuku gave her apologetic orbs that this happened while Momo replied with soft eyes as if to say it can't be helped.

Momo fixed her loose strand of hair before addressing the girls, "Calm down everyone, I appreciate your excitement but now is not the proper time, right? Lunch seems more appropriate."

"Eh, but we just found out!" Toru had her arms crossed in argument.

"Well, I'll just tell you about it from what Izuku told me," Mina clamored over to her friend before they scurried off to the back of the class to gossip about the newest romance.

The other girls like Tsuyu and Jiro told her how happy they were for her before going back to their desks.

Izuku scratched his cheek as he did his best to explain how he ended up with Momo without giving the details, "Y-You know, I guess we just started to notice each other more after we ran into each other at the ball."

Bakugo didn't outright say anything or approach Izuku but had a secret smirk for Deku getting a girl.

Mineta and Kaminari begged for details while Sero taped and dragged them away. Tokoyami simply gave Izuku a pat on the shoulder and firm nod.

The only ones not to congratulate Izuku or Momo were Todoroki and Uraraka who were quiet the whole time.

It was time for lunch and the students were leaving the classroom. Izuku walked over to Momo as they were filing out. "H-Hey, Momo. Er, I'm sorry that Mina went overboard, I should have known."

Momo inhaled, raising her shoulders before exhaling, letting them sag as she tilted her head towards him, "It's fine, right? To be honest, I wouldn't know how to go about telling it to everyone anyways." Although despite saying that, she was jealous of Mina's ability to always capture the attention of others with a lack of effort, 'And yet for me, it always feels like I'm just a looking glass that is too transparent, only for others to see through me...'

"Yeah, you have a point, I wouldn't know how to tell people either, hahaha, if anything we probably would have kept it secret until it blew up in our faces, huh?" He gave her a light-hearted chuckle at the thought.

Momo giggled along not wanting to show her negative thoughts. "We owe it to her then,"

They were walking down the hallway side by side and it gave them a problem. Their fingers brushed against each other, yet never intertwined. They both wanted to embrace the others hand as they walked through school but they were still too shy and new to the relationship.

'Izuku Midoriya, you've saved countless lives and faced great threats, how can you be so intimidated by the idea of holding your girlfriend's hand. Get it together, you're her boyfriend, there is nothing wrong with simply interlocking your fingers with hers. You can do this!' Izuku reaffirmed it to himself as he took a brave gulp before clasping her hand in one swift motion.

The sudden movement caught her off guard, yet she couldn't ignore the sensation of his warm hand, before she squeezed into his grip. Her hand was cold and yet he liked the contrast it created with his.

Neither of them acknowledged it, They were too shy. The both of them were looking away from each other to hide the simultaneous blush spreading across their cheeks. Although just as they were getting used to it, someone tapped Izuku's shoulder.

"Sorry, Midoriya but do you think we can talk?"

"Hm," Izuku turned his head as they stopped walking, "Oh Todoroki, sure, I-I'll catch up Momo,"

"O-Okay Izuku," Her voice growing shy as their fingers slipped away from each other. "I'll miss you," She blurted in an embarrassed whisper, being the typical lovestruck schoolgirl.

As Izuku and Todoroki were walking away she used this opportunity to talk to Yaoyorozu.

"Hey Yaomomo, mind if I join you for lunch," It was Uraraka.

"Oh, Uraraka, no, of course, I wouldn't mind but I was playing to share it with Izuku, today."

Uraraka's upbeat attitude fell slightly, "Yeah, that's kinda what I wanted to talk to you about if you don't mind."

"Something regarding Izuku?"

Todoroki and Izuku were back in the classroom but now it was empty. Izuku was a bit confused but assumed it was just a part of Todoroki's nature, to talk in private.

"So what's up?" Izuku asked with a casual laugh.

"Midoriya, I don't know how to say this but I think you should avoid Yaoyorozu."

Izuku's smile remained in place for a few seconds as he processed what his friend just told him. "Huh? B-But Momo and I just started dating..?" He was confused and could only assume one thing, "W-Wait, don't tell me that you also like Momo?"

Todoroki's eyes widened at the accusation, as if offended by it before shaking his head. "No, I'm saying this out of concern."

"Huh, what do you mean?"

"Midoriya you are probably aware but Yaoyorozu and I have gone on missions together, and I won't deny her hero skills but there was always something off-putting about it,"

"Off-putting? L-Like what, Todoroki?"

He shook his head looking unsure, but Izuku couldn't tell if he was unsure about Momo or if to tell him.

"I don't like saying this about my own friend, especially someone like Yaoyorozu, but Midoriya, she has a certain way about her, I don't know how to explain it but it's like she's always manipulating the situation to her benefit..."

Izuku scrunched his eyebrows, thinking of how elegant and innocent Momo was and the everlasting moment of endearment they had under the rain at the shrine. Izuku was just not able to believe Todoroki's words but then why would one of his closest friends lie?

"Wait, you're saying Momo is manipulating me?"
