Signal
'It had stopped raining, and to me, it felt like I had finally woken up from a dream I didn't know I was living...'
It was the next school day and Izuku was at a train stop, staring off with wide but baggy eyes. He didn't sleep last night. His school uniform was a mess as someone who had scrambled to get ready for school but without paying attention because of other occupied thoughts. His tie was the complete opposite of how it usually was, instead of short and proper it was disjointed and wrangled. He didn't even notice the train as it came to a stop in front of him with simply a blur of people passing by him.
"Midoriya, hey Midoriya." It wasn't until a voice called out to him that Izuku's eyes regained focus.
"O-Oh, Todoroki. Hey." Izuku spotted him in on the train-cars and went to go sit by him.
"Are you alright? You're completely zoned out back there." Usually, Todoroki was the dense type who didn't bother to notice the small stuff but when it came to his friends that was a different story.
"H-Huh? Y-Yeah..." He then debated about telling him, clenching his jaw and unclenching it before he spoke. "It's just, something happened yesterday."
"Yesterday? If I recall that was your date with Yaoyorozu."
Izuku nodded. "I mean it was going well at first but then..." And Izuku explained everything that happened with Camie at the cafe.
"That's rough."
"Yeah, but you had a point. You even warned me about rushing into things and now..."
Todoroki shook his head, "But then you wouldn't be you, and it's honestly one of my favorite things about you, Midoriya."
Izuku scratched his cheek almost cracking a smile, "Ah, thanks Todoroki... but back to the point. N-Now, after everything that has happened, I don't know, it feels like the fantasy we were in has worn off... I just didn't realize it till now."
Todoroki earnestly listened to his friend's concern and thought about it before placing his hand on Izuku's shoulder as a sign of support. "Well then maybe it's your chance to make things real between you two."
Izuku let out a taken aback gasp before letting out a chuckle of appreciation, "You always know what to say, huh, Todoroki?"
Todoroki gave a small smile in return, "I learned from the best." Recalling the time Izuku's words pulled him out of his inner turmoil during their first year at the sport's festival.
Although Izuku was grateful for the conversation he had with Todoroki, he hadn't told him the entire events that transpired last night.
We were on her bed, and I don't know why, but she offered to give me a massage... And after, it became a blur... Until I realized what was happening and what we were doing...
As those two were riding the train towards school, Momo Yaoyorozu was being escorted by her driver. Unlike Izuku, her appearance and uniform were in their usual pristine condition. But just like Izuku, her eyes were clouded from last night's final raindrops.
'Why is it, the harder I try to hold on to something, the farther it seems to slip away..?'
The car had come to a stop at a red light, and Momo had a faraway express as she stared off at the blur of people crossing the street.
"Yaomomo, oi, Yaomomo." Someone was calling out to her tapping on the window of her car door. It startled Momo causing her cat-ears to jolt along with her spiral ponytail. She turned to the window, scooting over on her seat to roll it down.
"O-Oh, Ashido. Hello." She then opened the door, letting her inside as well as informing her driver. She scooted back to where she was sitting, as Mina sat by her, closing the car door.
She was her giddy self, "So, tell me, tell me! How was your date with Izuku?"
"Our date..?" Her reply was laced with doubt and confusion and Mina picked up on it.
"Huh? Did something happen? Did Izuku try something on you? I knew it, no matter how innocent they act, guys are still horndogs! Don't worry Yaomomo, I'll set him straight." Ashido was stretching her arm, ready to give Midoriya some of her Mineta-punishing smacks.
There was something always uplifting about Mina's personality and it caused Momo to let out a giggle. "No, nothing of the sort, in fact, I truly feel safe around Izuku, but regardless I appreciate the concern, Ashido." Momo shook her head with a small smile. 'Why do I always get myself wound up about Ashido and Izuku's friendship, she always wants what's best despite her nosy tendencies.'
"No problem, but then what did happen?"
"Actually we had a lovely time," And Momo began to tell Mina about yesterday, although she left out the part involving Camie.
"Wait if it went well then what's wrong?"
Momo thought about it before answering as best she could. "I don't know, ever since Izuku and I started our relationship, it's like I haven't been in proper control of my own emotions... It's like I want to think one thing, and yet I think other, it's like I want to say something but instead say something completely different. None of that makes sense, does it?"
"Oh my god, Yaomomo, you're completely head over heels for him aren't you?" Ashido said with an amused smirk.
"A-Am I? I've never felt this way before. Should I be worried?"
"Pfft, no. Enjoy it!"
"E-Enjoy it? How do I do that?" The infatuated Momo earnestly asked.
"Huh?" Mina could not believe that Momo had asked that in such a genuine manner, she looked at her curious, naive expression before chuckling out loud. "You're too innocent Yaomomo. There's so much to teach you."
"I-Is that so?" Momo tilted her head with her spiral ponytail swaying along with her always loose strand of hair.
If only Mina was aware of what happened after their date, then maybe she wouldn't quick to call Momo innocent.
We were on my bed, and I don't know why, but I wanted to show him I was there for him... Then after, it became a blur... And it wasn't until I realized what I asked, that I truly realized what we-,
What I was doing...
