Taiju's tears started to form as he tried to keep them from leaking out, but it was very difficult.
"Are you finished?" The king of science asked. "Talking your stupid nonsense?"
"Nonsense?!" Taiju wanted bark back at him for calling his thought stupid. "How is this nonsense!?"
All a sudden two hands grabbed his collar, pulling him up into the air. Taiju was surprised by his friend's strength being able to lift him up like this. But that also meant, that Senku was still very angry with what he said just now. Taiju squint his eyes really hard, fearing what his friend would do to him.
A few seconds later, nothing came. Taiju was a bit confused as he slowly opened his eyes and noticed that Senku was embracing him.
"Se-Senku?"
"Heh….you are such a fool." Senku wanted to grin and play it cool, but with Taiju, it was very hard to do that sometimes. He just kept a strong grip on his friend, as he was hugging him hoping to cause pain in his friend's heart.
"Do you think, that I would just accept that as your answer to disappearing on us, you big idiot? You making me start that illogical thinking again. I want to kill you. Or I should let Yuzuriha hear this so she can hit you, instead of me. "
"…" Taiju blinked, thinking about that scenario.
"We been through this once before in the beginning of this new world. That if I'm going to live, then we need to do this together, or have you forgotten that? Even before that, when I was alone for six months…that I'd waited for you….because I couldn't do this without you. Even when you protected me and Yuzuriha….I didn't….I didn't want you to die for my shake…I don't want anyone dying for me…"
"I don't want that either…" Taiju shook his head. "I don't….But…"
"Well good…At least we can agree on one thing." Senku sounding a bit normal, by that statement. "Listen, I don't want to listen to your crap, of you dying to save me. You got it?"
"I do…" Taiju nodded sobbing like a baby. "But things….some things, can't be helped…..and there's no telling when this will happe-"
Taiju was frozen, as his mouth was being cover by something. Two hands, touched each of the brunette's cheek, bringing him towards his friend. Taiju's eyes widen by what Senku was doing.
They were still for second, before being pulled apart. The brunette needed to process everything that just happen, before his face turned completely red, as he covered his mouth.
On the other hand, Senku wasn't looking at him. He was looking at the floor between them as he was trembling,
"Damnit….stop….making me speak illogical about this Taiju…I hate that side… of me…" Senku got of grip of himself before staring back into Taiju's eyes with an emotional look.
"Sen…ku?"
"We've been through this before. Do you honestly think your parents, would want their only son to leave this earth so quickly, without living his life to the fullest? If you parents are the kind that I think they are, I know that for damn sure they wouldn't want their son to die…So stop, trying to go to them so easily. Stop trying to die so easily. You're not a fighter, but you're not weak either! You and I both know this!"
"I'm…Senku…I'm…" Taiju tried to speak but Senku wasn't having that.
"And about Yuzuriha? Do you think, she would want you to die, without hearing what you had to tell her? You promised her that you would tell her when all this is over so keep your promise!"
Senku was trembling as though he was afraid of something.
"And don't be counting on the kingdom of science to protect me! Sure we got Gen, Ryusui, Chrome and everyone else, but that doesn't mean they can be replaced, and that goes for you too. Everyone has their roles to play on the crew and you are no different. You are irreplaceable, you idiot!"
"I'm…sorry..Senk-"
"And most of all, what about me? Your best friend?" Senku cried. "Are you my best friend, or just a pawn that I would use for my plans!? I already lost my biological parents…..and now I lost my father….Do you think, after all we've been through, that I'm just going to let you die on me? That I'm just going to let you go to be with your parent's that easily? And because of me? You better rethink that for a damn second that I'm just going to let you go. And after you said all that illogical mushy stuff. If you are going to do that, then I'm better off killing you myself!"
Taiju started to feel a little pain in his chest as he wanted to grip his best friend.
"So please….don't….Your life is more than that….You know that….don't you?"
Taiju who remained speechless during that whole segment, didn't know what to say...He didn't know what to do…..So he did the only thing he could do as he bend down touching, the king of science's forehead with his very own.
"I…." Taiju started to mumble again as tears was pouring out. "I want you to be happy, Senku! Because you and Yuzuriha are someone that is important to me….More than myself… You said you want to build this world with the power of science…And I want to protect that dream….no matter the cost…."
"You….You idiot!" Senku cried. "How can I be happy, knowing that you died for my sake!? How can anyone be!?"
"I know… but…. My body just moves on its own….I'm sorry…. I can't promise… that I won't do that again….Because….you are my friend…my very best friend." He nuzzle against the crimson boy's forehead as he made a gentle smile.
"You…..You…" Senku was lost for words for once….he couldn't win against Taiju's logic. "I….If you want me to be happy….then you have to stay….by my side...I want everyone to create this world of science with me….especially Yuzuriha….And most importantly….I want you to be by my side….I want to experience this new world with everyone."
