The matter, the energy, the molecules that formed the first stars and planets woven together in pinks and blues and fiery oranges and deep reds to create the galaxies at the very beginning of the universe as we know it.
All those atoms zipping through uncharted space billions of miles away until finally reaching—
Two million years.
When humans can finally walk on a freshly revitalized Earth after a major extinction event that wiped out most life. Except life found a way.
Those molecules building up the first eyes to see the grass and the sky and the animals and Earth. Two million years of surviving and then—
Nine months.
Nine months she keeps you inside her as you grow, cradling that matter that has been waiting and waiting and waiting—
One second.
One second for you to remember that you are made up of nebula that formed at the very beginning of the universe, to know you were once part of the start of life itself, the first of humanity.
One second to remember the atoms have been bouncing through wars and peace, the molecules making up the centuries until the moment—
The moment you were created.
Once second to remember that nine months where the boundless energy of the stars sat silent in waited breath to once again see the Earth through fresh eyes, to feel with a beating heart.
Thirteen billion years the world waited to meet you.
One second to remember why you should stay.
