A/N: Hey guys! Back again with something less abstract this time! Hope you enjoy!

Some things, Percy understands, are simply felt.

Like the way his heart takes off on a high-speed chase, every time he sees her. Like the way he goes to sleep with a smile, unable to wait for tomorrow, swallowed whole by it. Like the way she's changed that hollow feeling that once resided in his chest.

And Annabeth, well he's known her for long enough to recognize that she's a little scared.

Because her heart thumps just as hard when she's with him. He feels it in the brush of her fingertips and the smile she hides behind her hair. When they're together it feels like a ride and he can tell that she's afraid. Afraid of looking down and falling.

And Percy, well he can't let it go on like this.

So there he is, in her driveway at midnight, completely sideways to find out if she truly does feel the same. Because truth to be told, he's just as nervous as her. He knows it won't be easy, he has his doubts too. But without her, it's over, he's lost, incomplete. He doesn't know when she became home to him.

Annabeth opens the door and peers her head out before he can even do anything.

"Percy?"

It's all it takes to make his heart take off again. Her face is beautiful in the glow of the moonlight and he's shaking a little from the intensity of this feeling. He can't keep it in. He shouldn't keep it in.

So right there, on cold asphalt, he pours out his heart, grasping her hands and telling her that he would never do her wrong. He would never let her down or lead her on.

"Don't be scared," he tells her as her hands start to shake in his. Her wide eyes are fixed on him as he pulls her closer and in that moment he feels like he's falling.

Annabeth tightens her grip on his hands, and he thinks that maybe she feels it too, like the ground underneath their feet doesn't quite exist. A second later, she's stepping into his arms as he holds her tightly, whispering into her hair.

All those nights, he had stayed awake trying to think up all the ways he could make her his. All the smiles that wouldn't fade from his memory, because she never ran out of ways to blow his mind.

And here she is, in his arms.

"Don't be scared," he repeats, finally understanding what that something he's been feeling is. That feeling that sends his heart on a high-speed chase and keeps him up all night and makes him feel like he's falling.

Because…

"It's only love, that we're falling in."

She breaks away to look at him, hand resting over his thumping heart, eyes shining in the moonlight and that's when he knows.

Some things, Percy realizes, are better off said.

A/N: And there you have it! A little bit of a song fic, Falling In by Lifehouse, a song I highly recommend to you listen to if you want to see my inspiration for this fic! (And catch the lyrics in here)

And of course, as the last sentence states, I wanted to add in the idea that some things should be said, are better off being said, and I think love is one of them.

I hope you guys liked this one! Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

And as always, thanks for reading!

See ya! :)
