A/N: Hey guys! Back with an unofficial part 2/Percy's POV of chapter 9: Haven't met You Yet. Hope you like it!
The fall breeze is a nice change from the stuffiness of his apartment and he takes a moment to soak in the outside world. He should go outside more often, it's too easy to just stay in and lay on his couch, but the fresh air is worth it.
But maybe he's too caught up in his own thoughts because he doesn't even realize he's about to bump into someone until he is actually bumping into someone.
"Oh, sorry," the girl apologizes even though he's pretty sure it's his fault.
But his apology dies on his lips when he looks at her.
The moon is high, and they're standing by her front door with shy smiles on their faces. "Do I get a kiss?" he asks at the end of their date. She just nods shyly and it's the perfect end to the night that just leaves his heart racing and wanting more.
They're sitting on the couch when she turns to him with a smile. "Wanna watch a movie?" she asks. He agrees, turning his attention to the screen, only to find his girlfriend looking at him instead. "You're not watching it," he points out a little dumbly and her smile widens. "I wasn't planning on it." He's more than okay with that.
She's run out into the street at two thirty in the morning and he runs after her, turning her around and grabbing both her hands. "I'll never leave you," he says through silent tears and wraps her in a tight hug. Her arms grab his chest and they hold each other like that to mend the hurt after the fight.
"Yes," she says with that breathless smile before he even finishes getting down on one knee. The perfect serenity of dusk is broken by the sound of her laugh as he picks her up and spins her around causing sand to fly everywhere. They meet in a perfect silhouetted kiss.
"Shhh," he whispers in the dark to the bright smile, but only a second later the closet door opens, flooding them both in light. The child in his lap pouts. "That was too fast! Count again mom!" He turns to smile at her the way he did at that first date and agrees. "Yeah, count again, mom."
"No, I'm sorry," he finally manages, the words coming a little rushed.
She tilts her head to the side a little, curiously, and he wonders if she felt it too. There's a small smile on her face as she waves the apology away. "It's okay."
He just nods as she continues walking, still rooted in spot. He may have just met—a second later he's running after her.
-.-
She just hasn't met him…ye—
"Excuse me!"
A voice interrupts her thoughts and she turns around to see the green-eyed man who'd bumped into her a second ago.
"Yeah?"
He's got a shy smile on his face and her eyes follow the way he runs a nervous hand through his hair.
"I was wondering if you…maybe wanted to get coffee sometime?"
She's still got Starbucks in her hand but she finds herself nodding in response.
On second thought, maybe she has met him.
A/N: Like I said before this is the unofficial part 2 to chapter 9: Haven't Met You Yet. I just wanted to write something sweet after the more angsty last three chapters and had some cute (a little cliché) moments that I wanted to write.
Having an instant connection with someone might seem cliché or unrealistic, but it does happen and I wanted to write about it in a series literally about the semantics of love. Love and attraction are felt differently with different people (which is why it's so hard to properly document love) so this one is for the ones who can see a future before it happens :)
Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts! And as always, thanks for reading!
See ya! :)
