A/N: Hey guys! Back with something a little different! Hope you like it!

A nervous excitement runs through her body as she walks into the conference room. She's finally going to get the help she needs after being swamped with work for the past few weeks. And she's not usually one to accept help, hence the nervousness, but it feels like she's been drowning in an endless pit, so she'll take it.

Standing at the end of the table, she scrolls though her emails as she waits for her new assistant to walk in.

She only gets through one email before the door opens and her boss walks in, greeting her with a wide smile.

"Annabeth!" He steps aside to gesture to the other person who followed him in the room. "Meet your new assistant, Percy."

He's already looking at her when she turns her attention towards him, her hand automatically coming up to shake his

"Hi, can't wait to work—"

Blood coated fingers are holding on to hers as he slumps forward with an audible groan of pain.

"I'm sorry," she whispers, her own breath tight and ragged, but she still reaches forward to support him.

He shakes his head, peering up at her through the sweaty mop of his hair.

"You're not…" he struggles to get the words out and the heat surrounded them intensifies. She inches closer, holding on to as much of him as she can. "You're not getting away from me," he finally gets out.

"I'm sorry," she repeats, cupping his face and trying to blink through the tears. His eyes flutter close and she feels a twist in her gut. She shouldn't have let this happen, shouldn't have let him fall with her.

"I'll find you," he promises. "You're not getting away, not again."

His hand squeezes hers as her eyes droop closed. She just nods, trying to save the last of her breath to promise him back.

"As long as we're—"

"—together." The word startles her, but Percy seems unfazed.

"I'm sorry," she apologies for her unprofessionalism, shaking her head of hellfire and focusing on the cold wood of the conference table.

"You don't have to be."

He's looking at her with an incredibly soft look on his face. The sea-green eyes look different in the fluorescent light of the conference room.

His words strike her to her core. A forgiveness she didn't know she needed.

"Have we…" she hesitates, unable to shake the feeling that's starting to overwhelm her now. "Met before?"

His smile is so familiar, her heart starts to race before he even says anything.

"Not again."

A promise.

One she remembers.

A/N: I just love the concept of meeting again in a different life, that love can persevere beyond the bounds of life. Especially for Percabeth.

I really love Percy and Annabeth. Truly, these characters are my otp, they're my way of getting thoughts and stories out and their love is unbeatable for me. So, writing this concept for them is just perfect.

Hope you liked this (with the bit of canon Percabeth and a callback to an old old fic of mine)

Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

And as always, thanks for reading!

See ya! :)
