POV: Death

"Please don't go Rudy, I need you! I'm not ready for this yet!" Liesel Meminger cried, tears in her eyes. "Liesel... there are some things in life that you can't control, and sometimes you need to let go of them. I'm sorry." Rudy objected. "You can't go yet... I love you!" Liesel admitted as Rudy gave one last smile. "I love you too..." he said, then closed his eyes, his body turning lifeless. "Rudy..." Liesel muttered, her voice cracked, and tears falling down her face. It was then that I walked up behind them and...

A/N: I just wanted to let everyone know that this is a choose-your-own-ending kind of story. I originally decided to write 3 chapters (including this one) but then decided against it since I couldn't really find anything to write about for a whole "chapter" or "page". Sorry about that.

SADENDING:

It was then that I walked up behind them and...

Watched as the young girl kissed Rudy's lifeless body before I took his soul out and gently carried it away. But before I left, I glanced one more time at the crying girl- she looked so heartbroken, I wished that I could sit down beside her and tell that it was all going to be okay. But I couldn't. You can't possibly know how much I wanted to, but couldn't. So I took Rudy's soul away as a young girl wept at her true love's feet. Oh how much Rudy would have wished to look at her for one last time, kiss her... life is cruel, my friends, and I'm afraid there is not much we can do about it.

A/N: Happy ending below, for the ones who cried their heart out to this one

HAPPY ENDING:

It was then that I walked up behind them and...

And watched. I wasn't going to take Rudy's soul just yet. He wasn't about to die. Only Liesel thought otherwise. She pressed her lips against Rudy's, and before she knew it her tongue was in his mouth. It was almost as if he was kissing her back... but Liesel knew that no such thing could exist- although she was very wrong. She now knew for sure that Rudy was kissing her back... but he was dead... right? The young girl pulled away, startled, and looked down at the young boy. His eyes were open. Happy tears flooded Liesel's eyes- she didn't think she would have been this happy her entire life. "Hello, Liesel." Rudy smiled. "Rudy! You scared me to death!" Liesel first playfully hit Rudy's arm but then tightly hugged her best friend and soon-to-be boyfriend. "I know!" Rudy grinned. Suddenly, Liesel's senses came back to her and she turned a deep scarlet color. Rudy knew she loved him... As if he had read her mind, Rudy smiled, getting up to his elbows next to the young girl, who was sitting down. "I know you love me. You don't have to say it. I just do." He blushed. "But I'm going to say it. I love you." Liesel smiled, and they shared a quick kiss before a bomb just barely dodged them. "Right, well this is really not the time!" Liesel shouted, grabbing and pulling Rudy up. He had a few severe injuries and bled, but he was alive. Something to be thankful for, at least.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed that!
