A/N: Hey guys, back again! Enjoy!

"You guys are just soo romantic!"

Romantic is not a word Annabeth would have ever used to describe herself. Or them for that matter. If anything, her relationship has been wrought with hardships and challenges and the gritty reality of war which is far from romantic.

"What?"

"Yeah," Lucy continues to gush. "I mean the way you guys would do anything for each other…"

But that's not romantic, that's just…them. She doesn't know what to call it, but that's just the way they are, it's a given.

"And you guys were in Tartarus toge—"

"Do you think that Tartarus is romantic?" Her voice comes out sharp. Lucy winces immediately making Annabeth feel bad. She knows the other girl didn't mean anything by it, as a daughter of Aphrodite, she just thinks differently.

Before she can say anything, Lucy quickly apologies.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that."

"It's okay, I know," Annabeth reassures.

"I just meant that it's romantic that he stayed by your side," Lucy explains.

But that's just Percy. Loyal, brave, amazing Percy. It's just how he is…she never thought about it as…romantic.

"Yeah," she says unsurely. "I guess."

"It is," Lucy confirms. "And I've heard all the other stories too, how he gave up godhood and you took a knife for him. Honestly you guys are so lucky."

Well, she won't argue with that. Her and Percy are lucky, lucky to have lived through two wars, lucky to have each other. So much has happened that she's, well not forgotten per say, but it's not something she actively thinks about.

She's more focused on the future they're trying to build. This conversation with Lucy though is…illuminating.

Later, she takes the thoughts to Percy himself.

"Did you know we're the most romantic couple at camp?" she asks, playing with his hair as he lays with his head on her lap.

"Really?" He looks up at her with surprise.

"I know, but it's coming from the Aphrodite cabin so…"

"Romantic…never thought about that."

"Neither had I," she confesses. "But I guess we've just been doing romantic things without realizing."

"Like what?"

"Like when I took that knife for you, or when you gave up godhood. And when you fell with me…"

"That's romantic?"

"Guess so…" she trails off thinking. "I guess by that logic when I was searching for you would count, and our first kiss…"

Percy grins. "And when I sneaked onto a quest to find you, or the time with the sirens would count too."

Annabeth shakes her head with a smile. "I never considered those kinds of things as romantic though, it's just…how we are…" She struggles again to find the words to describe what she means.

"I even told Lucy," she continues, "when she said, and I quote, 'it's the way you guys would do anything for each other' and I told that's just—"

"Love."

Annabeth blinks for a second before looking down at Percy. Her favorite sea-green eyes stare back at her and sometimes it's like the first time all over again and she's drowning in him.

Love, what a simple word, yet so complex. The one she's been looking for this whole time.

He sits up, getting off of her lap to lean against his arm until they're face to face.

"Love," she affirms softly.

And then she's melting all over again when his lips meet hers.

Lucy turns to Piper with a smile as the two notice the couple by the big tree.

"I told her," Lucy tells Piper. "They're the most romantic couple to ever exist."

A/N: So what did you think? Nothing like good old classic canon Percabeth to remind us the true meaning of love lol But seriously, they themselves are canonically the biggest semantic of love!

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Please Review!

And as always, thanks for reading!

See ya! :)
