After Aang defeats Fire Lord Ozai and ends the war between the nations, Zuko takes the throne, and Aang discovers something amazing. When he goes back to visit the Southern Air Temple, he finds an underground cave, where the people of the Air Nation have been hiding since Aang disappeared. Aang tells them that the war is over, and the air nomads, along with many lemurs and flying bison, come out of the cave and rebuild their nation. The other three nations are excited about the return of the air nomads.
Six years later, Aang and Katara get married, with Sokka as best man and Toph as Maid of Honor. Then, after two years of being happily married, Katara becomes pregnant. Three days before the baby is born, though, Aang mysteriously passes away in his sleep. Later on, they find out that he was killed by Azula, who poisoned him.
Amazingly, Katara's child, whom she named Alandra, was the next Avatar. Katara raises Alandra with the help of Sokka and Toph. When Alandra is 13 years old, the Face Stealer finds a way to make the winter solstice permanent. He makes an alliance with Azula's family, along with many other noblemen and warriors, and it's off to war again for many men.
Now Alandra, with the help of her friends Saku and Mali, must go out on her own great quest to stop the Spirit World from taking over all of reality.
