Princess Justice waited at the top of the Eiffel Tower, a warm breeze blowing across her face. She was in a good mood. At last, everything was going according to plan. There were only a few loose ends to tie up before she could complete her plan. This would be glorious indeed. A whole new future awaited her and the city of Paris.
Cat Noir grunted as he landed in front of her, falling to his knees to absorb the impact of his jump. He straightened immediately, tucking his staff onto his back for safekeeping.
"So, Princess, what do you need?" Cat Noir asked. He gave a mocking bow.
Princess Justice smiled and decided to cut to the chase despite his antics. She had been stringing him along and deceiving him for far too long. "I need your help defeating Hawk Moth," she said, clasping her hands in front of her.
The look of shock on his face was so comical she couldn't help but chuckle. "You . . . You want to defeat Hawk Moth? With my help?" He stuttered, his mouth hanging open in shock.
She moved forward and placed her finger on the bottom of his chin, pushing his jaw closed with a snap. "Yes. I know who is he now, thanks to Lila." She grinned and motioned to her staff. "I was right about her. She really is as evil as they come."
"I-uh." Cat Noir shook his head and stepped back, seeming confused. "Why do you want my help? You already broke his control over you, so why do you want me?"
Princess Justice smiled. It was time for the truth to come out. Truly, she had hated hiding her identity from him. While she didn't like him the same way he liked her, it would have been nice to be able to trust him with her identity. But it hadn't been possible. Their miraculouses together could be used for great destruction, and so it was best they be kept in the dark so neither of them could reveal the other.
However, Hawk Moth would be defeated soon enough, and after Princess Justice would have possession of all the miraculouses. There would be no need for secrets.
She took a deep breath before saying, "Oh Kitty, I wouldn't dream of confronting Hawk Moth without my partner."
Cat Noir stared at her for a moment, not comprehending. Princess Justice rolled her eyes. He had always been quite dense.
"I believe I've told you that Ladybug by herself doesn't sound half as cool as Ladybug and Cat Noir." She raised her eyebrows. If he didn't catch on soon, she really would have to leave him behind. It was a wonder he had been able to keep up with her this long with how slow-witted he was.
"Ladybug?" Cat Noir asked. His eyes widened, and he took a step back, a hand raising to cover his mouth. "You're Ladybug?"
"Yes." Princess Justice nodded, relieved he had managed to connect the dots. "Why else do you think I was so powerful? The ladybug miraculous is the strongest of them all." She fingered her earrings, thoughtful of what was to come.
"You—Marinette—you're Ladybug?" Cat Noir shook his head and grabbed his head between his hand.
Princess Justice pursed her lips as annoyance swelled in her stomach. "Yes, I am Marinette and Ladybug." She gritted her teeth. "But now I am Princess Justice."
"Princess," Cat Noir whispered. "It was you all along." He stared at her, looking her up and down. "I can't believe I didn't see it before."
Princess Justice rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, Kitty. Now you know my secret identity, and I'm sure it's shocking, but we have more important things to worry about."
"What could be more important than figuring out who the love of my life is?" Cat Noir grabbed her hand. "Milady, you're just incredible."
Princess Justice sneered and pulled her hand away. "What makes you say that?" Her tone was flat, and she wished he would move on. She should've realized he would react this way. He had always been such a flirt.
"Even though you've been akumatized, you're still looking out for the people of Paris. You took what could've been catastrophic and turned it into another opportunity to save Paris." Princess Justice winced at the cat pun, but he didn't seem to notice. "You really are special."
Princess Justice's cheeks began to heat, and she took a step back, unsure of why her body was reacting this way. "Quite," she said. "Now, let's discuss the plan."
Cat Noir leaned back, his green eyes squinting at her. She took that as a sign he was listening.
"I will use all of the miraculouses I have in my possession and combine them with the powers Hawk Moth so kindly gave me. Then you and I will go to Hawk Moth's lair and take his and Mayura's miraculouses. Understand?" Princess Justice grabbed the fox miraculous, ready to begin immediately. She didn't think it was that hard of a plan to understand. Even Cat Noir should be able to grasp onto it quickly enough.
"Wait," Cat Noir said, giving her a crooked smirk. "You can't tell a lie, right?"
Princess Justice raised an eyebrow as he leaned against the railing and twirled his tail in his hand. Where was he going with this? "Yes, I must always tell the truth." She stepped backward unconsciously, suddenly uncomfortable.
"Can I ask you a question?" He looked away, gazing across Paris.
"Sure, but make it fast."
"Do you love me?" He turned his head to look into her eyes, and Princess Justice froze with shock.
