"Ready?"
I nodded with my eyes focused on my opponent. It wasn't Tia, this time, even though she and her Fraccion were on the sidelines with their attention fixed on me, but someone else. Someone who I completely and utterly disliked.
Nnoitra Gilga smirked, lifting his scythe-like blade off his shoulders and into his hands. "Hell yeah! Let's get this show on the road!"
My hand tightened its grip on my Zanpakuto almost of its own accord. My temper already was held in the tight grasp of [Gamer's Mind], but I just couldn't forget seeing Shaak Ti in the tank like I did 'yesterday'. Finding out she was Aizen's source… and Jedi know. Somehow, her 'force' thingamajig told her about me. What did she tell Aizen? How did she wind up here?
How can I get her out of there?
"Pray, Santa Teresa!" Nnoitra cackled, and an explosion of reiatsu emerged from his form. I didn't even bother shielding my eyes – my [Physical Resistance] and high HP can more than handle a little dust.
Before the cloud even cleared, he was launching out of it, twin scythe-like blades in his hand, and a mad grin fixed on his face.
Breathe, Legion. Remember, he's just an asshole. He doesn't deserve to die…
Like HELL he doesn't! Nel is somewhere out there reduced to a husk of her former self because of him and Syazel-Apporo! This fucker is going down!
I ducked under his fast swing, and brought my sword up in a wide arc, cutting through his shoulder like butter. Strongest Hierro, my pasty white ass! A [Cero] charged in my left hand almost instinctively, and it fired point-blank with all the oomph I could put behind it.
Nnoitra was abruptly pushed off from where he was almost going to lop my head off and flew backward into the sand.
There was silence for all but a moment before he was suddenly on me again, arm regrown and another one added. "Children have no place here!" he roared, then launched himself back at me.
I snorted and ducked under his incredibly slow-looking attack, then kicked him upwards. The next moment, a barrage of water flew after him from my Mark, and a series of gestures had it burst apart and separate into thin lances of ice, which then zoomed in on him.
Of course, my stats hadn't made me godly, at least compared to him. He righted himself and parried the lances, then quickly kicked at the air to zoom in back towards me. I was prepared in the previous instant with a [Cero] that pushed him back. A full twirl and a forward motion had the water, which was still falling, form into a circle and surround his form. He, of course, was suddenly immobile as the water swirled around him, cocooning him, in a strange fashion.
Oh.
Oh, wait!
The last step I need to be a master water-bender… I just remembered! How could I be so foolish?!
I dropped my sword and both my hands twirled. Not once did the water break from itself – a thick, condensed band ran all the way around him and then again, and again. I crouched low, picturing the outcome and trying to push feelings of peace into the water.
I am at peace… and he will be, too.
It began to take on a golden glow, and Nnoitra began to thrash. "What the fuck are you doing, you brat?!"
I didn't bother to answer him as I slowly stood up, hands still twirling, my eyes focused on his form. I didn't try to force it, that would just cause him to fight back. No, I took his anger and rage into me, and let it settle. For a single moment, we were both just as furious.
But then… peace.
His movements began to slow, and then stopped entirely as his entire body began to take on a luminescent glow. He began to… change. It happened slowly – this gangly Asian man slowly transformed, in front of our eyes, into a near anorexic Asian kid. The kid smiled, for a single instant, before he began to disperse in motes of golden particles along with the water around him.
And then… I straightened.

Oh. There I go, calm again.
Speaking of element mastery, though, I really think I should purchase the [Avatar] perk. Like, now. I navigated over to my [Perks] menu and, would you look at that, I've got three hundred and sixty-one points!
I spent two hundred on the perk I wanted, so that left me with a hundred and sixty-one.
PING!
[Due to purchasing a perk, a new function has been unlocked!
Function: Permanent: Avatar
By allowing Raava to inhabit your body, you open up your connection to all four elements simultaneously.]
And… nothing much happened. There wasn't an explosion of energy, nor was there a new voice in my head. Wait, wait! My not-Zanpakuto said that my [Gamer's Mind] regarded even him as a threat. So, what did that mean for Raava?!
Never mind, I'll cross that hurdle when I get there. I clearly don't have any splitting headaches yet. Wait, I just spirit-bent Nnoitra! Why am I not dead at anyone's hand right now? I turned to look at my audience and… sweat-dropped.
I was being stared at. And in an 'oh-my-Godric what did you just do' way. "Um… I had a vision…?"
Needless to say, Aizen wasn't even phased.
"The Shinigami do have a skill like this, called Konso. We are capable of purifying a hollow and enable their soul to pass on either to Soul Society or to Hell." He spoke, sipping a cup of tea as we sat in my rooms.
Honestly, I wasn't very bothered. Nnoitra was toxic as hell. "What will happen to Tesla?"
"He'll be killed, of course." The man smirked. "Nnoitra was a gifted combatant, but… let us simply say that, his Fraccion notwithstanding, not many will miss him."
"But now you have a missing member." I pointed out, crossing one leg over the other. "Who will you use to fill the space? And, for fuck's sake, don't say Luppi. That bitch is weak as hell."
Aizen quirked an eyebrow. "Who would you suggest?"
"Nelliel Tu Odershwank." I offered, not missing a beat. "She may be weak for her once-assigned post, but she's certainly stronger than the Privaron. Bring her back, heal her, and she can be your new number 7."
"An idea with merit." He nodded then tilted his head. "I had assumed you would be against my plans… especially since one would usually regard me as 'evil'. Why are you offering me sound advice?"
I considered him for a moment. "Let's trade questions – you tell me why you're being so blunt with me when I know for a fact that you are a skilled manipulator, and I'll answer your question."
Tousen, who stood by the door, bristled but remained silent.
"Very well." Aizen sighed, then leaned forward to set his cup down. "My source told me that being upfront with you was the best way to get to what I would consider being a mutually beneficial relationship. We both know that you can easily detect my manipulations… and that my greatest weapon is ineffective against you."
That brought me up short. "Wait, what? Why am I immune to Kyouka Suigetsu?"
"I know not." He shrugged, but I spent a couple of moments to think on it, and then it clicked. [Gamer's Mind] made me immune to any mental debilitations. That… included someone trying to influence me – it's the most obvious! I am immune to hypnosis, to genjutsu, to mind-control! Holy shit!
"Never mind." I said, and I felt my cheeks burning. "Well, as for why I'm not opposing you, per se… well… let's just say I don't like the way Yamamoto is running Soul Society and leave it at that."
"I shall respect your privacy." He shrugged. "As for our next move…"
I nodded. "I know. Now is when, in the original timeline, you went after Rukia, isn't it? I'd advise holding off on that and pursuing Juuha Bach instead. The man will devise a way to steal Bankai… I think tackling him should be a priority. Then Ginjo, just to be safe – the guy's Zanpakuto has the ability to take and share an enemy's power, so…"
Aizen hummed, intertwining his fingers. He studied me for a long, awkward, moment before he spoke. "You have been of great use to me. Will you fight by me when the time comes?"
My eyes traced the rim of his cup. "You wish to transcend existence itself, to take on the soul king and sit upon his throne… Do you promise to take down only those who oppose you first? Do you promise to take care of your subordinates, and reshape reality in a way that ensures balance?"
"I swear it."
"Be careful, Sousuke Aizen." I warned. "Your methods to reach that spot up in the Soul King's Palace have already crossed all sense of morality. If you truly want me to stay on your side, then you will ensure that your takeover of Soul Society is done in a way that guarantees the least bloodshed."
He remained silent for a moment, just looking at me, but then he gave a stiff nod. Hahaha! It seems as if I may have stepped on his toes! Well, if he wants to rule over all, he has to play ball. Or else, I'll just cut through him as well and re-establish Soul Society, only this time, I'll set it up in a much more soul-friendly manner.
"Then we have a deal, Aizen." I nodded. "I will fight by your side… and offer you a piece of advice – you're wonderful at mind-games, are you not? Why not try to subvert more members of the Gotei 13? Soi Fong's Shikai is godly if used right. Toshiro has a good Zanpakuto behind him, and the original failed Visored are all good soldiers. Why not subvert them to your cause? When you're on the throne, you will need agents in all five dimensions to shepherd in your version of reality."
"All 'five' dimensions?"
"Of course – we have the realm of the living, Soul Society, Las Noches, Hell, and wherever the paths between exist… not to mention the dimension in which the Quincies are currently trapped." I shrugged. "We only know so much about the Senkaimon and the Dangai, and I don't think even Syazel-Apporo knows much about the Garganta… speaking of which, you won't be too upset if I killed him, right?"
Aizen smiled. It looked… wrong. "Of course not. So long as you have a replacement…"
"Cirucci Thunderwitch." I said, almost at once. Some more females in the Espada may be progressive. Also, assholes like Nnoitra won't be able to stick to their misogynistic doctrines, then. "I think we both know you can simply make anyone you like stronger with the Hogyoku, it does give you limited reality-warping powers, after all. The only reason you haven't is… what, exactly?"
He laughed. He actually laughed. Oddly, it sounded almost… wistful. Was Urahara right? Was his deepest desire really to stand at the top with someone who is his equal by his side? "Amusement, Legion. If I simply steamrolled everyone in my path, what pleasure would there be? The Shinigami of Soul Society floundering… rallying themselves in a futile hope to defeat me… it will please me immensely."
I smirked. I did, after all, choose the path of the rogue because of the difficulty it would have posed… key-word being 'would have', since if I went back home with these stats…
Oh god. I don't even want to think about it.
"Well, then. I'm off to kill Syazel-Apporo and be done with it." I stood and dusted off my hands. I 'just remembered' something then – I don't know if my acting fooled him, but eh, I'm not really bothered as long as he played along. "Hey, you mentioned a 'source' of your information on me. Could I end him, or her? The fewer people who know about me and pull me into their worlds, the more chances I have of returning to my own."
His eyes focused on my own, calculating. For the barest of moments, I thought I'd overstepped my bounds and asked for too much, but then he tilted his head. "A woman with a genetic disorder. She can see into the future. She's in Syazel-Apporo's lab, in fact." He waved me off. "Do whatever you wish. Now, that I know you are with me, I have no use for her."
"Cool. I wonder how much mind-fuckery it will take to get her on my side." I mused, tilting my head in 'thought'. "Thanks. I'll also be leaving to explore Las Noches if that's okay with you. If I can get to the rest of the [Location Collectibles] scattered around, it would put my mind at ease."
"Tousen, unfortunately, is needed back at his division. Komamura is beginning to question his whereabouts." The man explained. "Coyote Stark and Lilynette Gingerback will accompany you. Given how easily you dispatched Nnoitra, I think it's best not to take any chances."
"I'm not going to run away." I pointed out. "If I wanted to, we both know I wouldn't be here right now. I've been here for over a year; you'd think that'd make you trust me a little."
"Trust is for fools." He offered in reply and stood. "Tousen and I will be busy in Soul Society for a while. In our absence, Barragan Louisenbarn will hold authority in this place. You, however, are exempt from this rule. When you are ready, you may leave with your escorts by your side. Syazel-Apporo and the source are yours to do with as you see fit. I'll be dispatching Ulquiorra and Grimmjow to deal with this… Xcution immediately." He offered me aside-eyed gaze before he proceeded to leave, Tousen quickly following in his steps.
"Good luck." I offered to him. He just paused for a moment before continuing as if I hadn't said anything.
Never before had I regretted not reading a villain's complete backstory as much as I did now. I could just use Telepathy on the man, but I was almost certain that the level gap was too much, or that the Hogyoku would interfere somehow. Wait… at this point in time, who is the true master of the incomplete one? I can't remember…
Eh, anyway.
I vacated the rooms and swiftly made my way to the labs. Syazel-Apporo was a sticky fiend to get rid of. The only way Kurotsuchi Mayuri defeated him back in canon was because he somehow replaced his own organs…? I wonder how that even worked on such a short time-notice. The way he treated Nemu though… it's characters like him who make me think Soul Society is better off in Aizen's hands.
The question now, though, is how do I finish off Syazel-Apporo easily but painfully…?
I think it is way past time to check whether or not my [Telepathy] works as effectively on higher-level opponents. Clearly, enemies who cross a certain threshold show only question marks in their scan reports, even for their health and whatever energy they have, but does that affect whether or not I can destroy them mentally? God, this game's scanning system is so weird… it's like I can beat them easily if my stats are high enough, but I can't see details about them…? That's so strange. It's… it's as if the game is trying to state a fact; people who are not high ranked but 'train' hard to raise their power can still beat those who are ranked high but don't train at all. Because of [Gamer's Body] my 'training' is gathering extra stat points, so.
Now that I have seen for myself the difference stat points make, though, I'm kinda concerned. Both the Outsider and Dormammu may have some influence left on the things I face – now that I can keep up with the people from the Bleach universe… what's next, Dragon Ball?
I thought of Goku's Spirit Bomb and shuddered. My [Physical Resistance] may be up to level ninety because of how I was constantly tossed around by Tia and her Fraccion, but that attack was energy – Qi, to be specific. Would an attack capable of destroying planets not obliterate me, too?
I chuckled. I started off so weak… and now here I am, thinking about taking on powerful enemies as if it was nothing… and this is with me actively trying not to be strong. How do any gamer fanfictions create tension? Granted, if it were not for the collectibles I discovered, I'd probably never be here, but… anyone with Gamer powers can probably take over the entire multiverse in one year flat if they wanted to.
I shook off that train of thought and strode into the lab. The pink-haired Espada was typing away at his screen, looking horrified about something. My footsteps caused him to whirl, drawing his sword…
And that's when I dove into his mind. Memories? Ripped apart. Nerves? Overloaded. I was intent on hurting him as bad as I could because hurting someone so much that they had to physically morph into a smaller size just to be able to hold themselves together… that had to hurt.

Holy. Well, the idea that it cannot be broken makes sense, since when Nnoitra was wounded, it acted as if it was simply a flesh wound, and not like as if the attack had broken through something crystalized. Hmm…
Oh, wait! This gives me an awesome idea!
I brought my hands forward and into a very iconic and familiar hand-sign, then concentrated. I remembered the way it felt to go through a similar jutsu and tried to force my chakra to flow similarly, only altered slightly by the seal I was holding my hand in.
There was a poof of smoke next to me just as a notification popped up.

I turned and observed my clone, who seemed to be observing himself with the same degree of scrutiny. Hmm… seeing yourself like this is very different from looking into a mirror. "Can you access the system menu?"
"Nope." The clone popped the 'p'. "Scan me and see my stats."
I did as suggested.

"It worked." I grinned. "The HP bonus from [Hierro] is active! Wait, does this mean you only had 1HP by default? No wonder they disperse so easily."
"How much do I have? I can't see my own stats, you know." The clone muttered.
"321HP." I informed him… me… ugh. "Since the bonus is 320, this means you only had 1, before. How annoying. It's even strange that despite our stats being the same, you still have half my chakra… unless your stats are only at half effectiveness." I sighed. "That would mean you're only half as effective as me in combat… maybe that will change as the skill levels up? We should spend time to find you what your limitations are when it comes to learning. Try using a skill which we know but haven't developed yet."
The clone tilted his head in consideration. "A skill we know of, but haven't tried yet…" he trailed, then grinned. He took a step back and then set himself into a particular stance. Taking a deep breath, he took a measured step forward and then punched the air.
A small tongue of flame emerged from his fist and vanished just as quickly. We waited for a couple of moments, but when nothing happened, the clone seemingly remembered something, and face-palmed so hard it dispelled.

"It worked. It looks just as if I did it myself." I muttered, then recreated a clone and repeated the entry word for word. "I wanted to follow the Avatar Cycle, though." I whined.
"Oh, hush, you." He waved me off. "Well, not having a limit makes sense, since it's controlling the element that's so difficult." The clone mused. "You know what, I'm going to go to the training grounds and practice [Fire-bending]. Let's see how much I can level it up. This way, I'll also come to know how effective my stats are through the regen rate."
"Good idea." I nodded. "I'll go free Shak Ti and try to convince her to come with us. We'll cross level forty with the experience we get from the quest, for sure. Then, we'll get even more stat points from each collectible."
The clone shuddered. "I really, really, hope we're not going to be able to bulldoze everyone back home. Since when we thought of it first, the thought hasn't left our minds…"
I sighed. "We gotta do what we gotta do, I guess. We still don't know if all this is a simulation or Dormammu actually created these worlds – we can't let people suffer just because we're not strong enough. We both know what it's like to not be cared for…"
We stood in silence for a moment, just looking at each other.
"Is it strange that I want to hug you right now?" the clone asked. "Like… would that count as egoistic or empathic?"
I smiled a small, wane smile. "Shoo, now." I waved him off. "I've got a Jedi Master to rescue."
The clone just saluted and left, and I turned to travel deeper into the lab where I saw Shak Ti previously. If the clone does end up being able to learn as fast as I do… then what? Do I just spam clones to master all my skills? I'm already overpowered, I guess…. Ugh, this is so off-putting, it ain't even funny. I wanted a challenge! Not this walk over everyone crap.
I sighed as I made my way down the familiar network of tunnels, deciding to think of something else.
Am I really making the right decision by helping Aizen?
With enough stat points under my belt and the barrier between his techniques and my mind that [Gamer's Mind] forms, I'm the only one in the entire universe that can stand up to him. My decisions will reshape this universe's future. Wow… that's a big responsibility if all this is real. Dammit… What exactly were Aizen's motivations in canon, again? Unlike the religious devotion I gave to Naruto, I only read Bleach all the way through once or twice, right up until the point in the plot when Juuha Bach absorbs the Soul King and grew multiple… eyes…? I wonder if his techniques will classify as a Dojutsu in the Naruto-verse… Anyway. So. A look into Aizen… Dammit, if only something like an extra-dimensional Abyss Auction House existed for this kind of information, then I wouldn't even be in a conundrum.
I entered the holding chamber without much fanfare. This time, Shak Ti was already awake and looking at me. Wordlessly, I walked up to the console and managed to find the release switch. A seam in the glass I couldn't even see split apart, and liquid came gushing out of it. She fell to her knees and gasped, then puked up a whole lot.
I quickly knelt and rubbed her back. "Are you alright, Master Shak Ti?"
She coughed a few more times before looking up at me proper, though her eyes were a bit unfocused. "You… Legion. You're the Wanderer…"
I arched an eyebrow. "I have a feeling the 'W' is capitalized…"
She shook her head. "It's… hard to connect to the Force from this world… the human with pink hair, he did something that compelled me into a Force Trance for prolonged periods… even a second more than when he last stopped and my connection would be severed permanently."
I helped her sit back against the glass, then shot a small burst of water from the Mark and bent it so the outer portion froze into an ice tumbler, then offered it. "I know you're exhausted, but please focus for a minute, Master. Ga- I mean, Starkiller pushed you into the Abyss, yes? How are you here?"
"Thank you." She said, taking slow sips. "As for how I appeared here… there was a surge in the Force. I… I wouldn't know how to describe it… it felt as if what I had to do on that planet was done, and so I was brought somewhere else." She shook her head slowly. "I have seen Master Yoda do the unbelievable with the Force, but to use it to relocate entirely…? That is something I haven't heard of."
I tried to think back to KOTOR and remember if there was a Force Teleport power… but my memory was not that good about a game I played for only a couple of days at a friend's house. I ensured she had calmed down enough before I spoke next. "Alright, well… this might come as a shock, but you're not in the same universe where you lived so long. In fact, even I am not in the same place where I was born. In this universe-"
"Please, I understand all there is about this world." She interrupted me, not unkindly. "The Trance I was compelled into showed me much of this world, yours, and one other."
"Another world." I spoke, weakly. "By any chance, was it one where there was no conflict? Also, did you see a way back…?"
She smiled sadly. "Conflict is in the nature of animals as much as is breathing." She took another sip of her water. "I failed to see any way to return back to my own… dimension, as it were."
I thought about it for a moment. Aizen was able to somehow open an inter-dimensional Garganta, right? Or was that Syazel-Apporo… oh, fuck, I did not think his murder through. Hopefully, it was the former. And if it is… "I may not have a way, yet, but I will shortly." I offered. "Would you like to return home?"
Shak Ti shook her head slowly. "If the Force deemed it wise to erase me from that dimension, then I don't think it wise to return. Perhaps… my existence was always meant to be that of a Drifter much like you, child – cursed, yet gifted, with the ability to travel through the barriers between worlds…"
I worried my lip. A pacifist somewhat-magic-user traveling between worlds, free from restrictions? There's no telling how that will change their timelines. If I ever, by chance, end up in those worlds… my foreknowledge would be for naught. But how do I… oh, wait. "If you would like, you can return back with me to my own dimension. Pieces of a cloth stick together, right?"
She tilted her head. "With my connection to the Force so strained, I can no longer look to it for guidance for a while… very well. I will join you, Wanderer." She nodded, then stood. "It will be an honor to accompany you."

There, as simple as that. How refreshing. "Very well. Do you know much about my current path here, or would you like me to explain?" I asked, navigating over to my [Character Page] and ignoring the new hammer icon that was now added to my system menu – probably the [Crafting] page. I froze when I checked my stats out, though.

Dammit, it must have taken forty thousand experience points to move up to level forty from thirty-nine… talk about a big step. And now the increment seems to have increased to five thousand points per level… eh. I'll get to higher tiers soon enough, especially if I keep getting main quests with such high experience points in reward.
I notice Shak Ti shake her head in response. "I know very well what will come to pass. I only wish I had my lightsaber with me…"
"We will forge one for you, if you wish." I turned to look up at her with a frown. Hm… being short is annoying. "I know that one's personal lightsaber is kinda a big deal, but when you're a beggar, you can't choose." Her lightsaber was with Galen Marek, I think. Wasn't he supposed to collect them for Darth Vader as proof of his kill?
"True enough." She nodded, then frowned. "I doubt it will be easy to acquire the materials required, however…"
"Not really. I am working, or will soon be working, I suppose, on a discipline that lets me bend metal." I offered. "There are also a lot of precious gems back in my home dimension. I am certain that you will be pulled to at least one of them." I finished distributing my stats and smiling.

Ten points are little when compared to thirty but scoffing in the face of even one additional point is practically asking to be killed. A single point in any of them could be the difference between life and death. "For now, we need to get some food in you." I murmured, slipping into thought. "You can then accompany me in my little jaunt around Hueco Mundo for more stat points to get used to being able to move again. Plus, this might serve as training."
She arched an eyebrow. "I am a fully qualified Jedi Master, as you well know."
"I don't know how your Trance played out, but the people here move much faster than you are used to. Kilometers can be traversed in the blink of an eye." I grinned. "I'll carry you if you get tired, but it is best to get used to such speed as soon as possible. Even back where I'm from, people are fast, even if not terribly so as they are here."
"I… see…" she muttered, then sighed. "Very well. I'll submit to a training regimen during idleness if it will help."
I grinned wider.
