I flicked the condensed-reishi-blood off my Zanpakuto idly as I read the new description for it.

[Zanpakuto – Akuma-sha (Legendary)

The physical manifestation of the power of your Reiryoku, Akuma-sha is the only Zanpakuto in existence that has sentience but not a soul or avatar. Instead, the blade consumes the spirits of any Zanpakuto it destroys and gives you unrestricted access to their powers, even those that are hidden from the original wielder.

I sighed. Killing Ichigo had been child's play. Literally. He didn't have any powers or skills besides his forever-unsealed Zanpakuto, whose powers I took for my own. Fortunately, I was able to simply knock out his gang. Ryuuken was nowhere to be seen.

[You have levelled up multiple times!]

I… I just can't, anymore. A full armor set from the bonus objectives. And that's not even counting the fact that I just got double the experience from that new skill… ugh. Whatever. I'm the next god. Fear me, blah, blah, blah.

Just as I finished that thought, the clone that I sent out to procure what Ii wanted popped. Hm. It seems that my shadow clones can use my [Inventory] as well. How useful.

I navigated over to my [Character Page] and saw my new stats… God, I'm so depressed about how easy stuff is now that I can't even muster up the capability to be angry anymore. Anyway, fifteen points… lets even things out as much as I can…

Eh. Whatever.

"Legion?"

I looked up and sighed. "Master Ti… I hope what I did hasn't scared you." I said, quietly.

She looked at me carefully, analyzing my posture and expressions, no doubt. Jedi always kept their analytical skills as sharp as possible. "Come here." She said simply and pulled me closer to embrace me in a hug.

I blanked out for a moment, before giving in and wrapping my arms around her. My six-year-old body could only barely reach her waist, but still. It felt nice. I imagined that this is what a hug from a mother would feel like.

"I don't know whether what you did was right or wrong." She spoke, rubbing a soothing hand down my back. "This world was forever destined for ruin, even before you came. Burning a rotten root is not a crime." That brought me up short. I never made it to the end of the Bleach manga but I did know that Ichigo had a kid and there was a happy-ever-after for the characters here. Then why…? Whatever. I'm not really bothered. Let's just finish up here.

I pulled away and smiled up at her the best I could, letting [Gamer's Mind] quell the fog that covered my awareness. "Let's just get back to Aizen so that we can get going."

She seemed the slightest bit unsure but nodded anyway.

I turned to the Espada behind us and arched an eyebrow. "Someone, please, open a Garganta into Soul Society. No offense, but I'd rather get home as soon as possible."

They just looked at me for the longest moment. I don't know what was going through their mind, and, honestly, I wasn't too excited to find out – their faces were grim enough.

I just shrugged.

Ulquiorra, at not signal that I could see, turned and opened a portal to the place. I squared my shoulders and walked through, the others following close behind.

Once again, I felt that strange pull. As if something were calling out to me, but with a… feeling… instead of actual sound. I tried to look around the passageway we were in, but for some reason I couldn't fly here. I tried jumping, but I only managed to go as high as a child my age should. Odd. It seemed that the place in between places brought down my potential to what it should be.

I shrugged it off altogether then and walked out into the open. Once again, it felt as though I didn't belong here. The air was heavy. Moving seemed to take more effort, although far lesser in magnitude than when I was in Hueco Mundo… although that could be because of my new level of stats.

Speaking of which, I spotted a collectible right in front of me. We did end up in front of a Sereitei gate, so I guess it's only fair there was one. I walked up to it and tapped it.

PING!

[You have discovered: Southern Sereitei Gate! 1/50 Soul Society Locations discovered!

Fifty of them… that's bring the total up to two thousand points…. Whatever. I'd rather pick them up and not need them than need them and not have them. I created a clone to scout out more collectibles and hopefully be done with it by the time I'm finished with Aizen. It vanished in a flicker of black lightning.

Ulquiorra turned to look at me for a second, before he jumped. I sighed and jumped after him; hopefully he was going right where Aizen was.

Oh, wait! What about the clone who I created to practice earth and air bending back in Karakura? I created another clone and dispelled it. Almost immediately, I was hit with another set of memories.

Cool. I wonder when I'll be able to go into the Avatar state, if at all? Wait, would the Avatar state grant me even more stats? Because if so, I think I'm going to scrap this idea right now.

Eh. Who cares? I'm literally so overpowered it's not even funny. It's depressing. And that's not even counting the fact that I have practically doomed this world just because I got bored.

I froze.

Wait… did I do everything I did so far… just because I got bored?

I thought back to when I first got here. I wanted to get stronger because of survival, at first. I trained under Tousen and Tia to strengthen my skills before I shot up thanks to collectibles. But when I told Aizen about Juuha Bach and Ginjo… was I…

Was I thinking what would be the most entertaining?

Back when I gutted ROOT, I had to pretend to be disgusted with myself when Hiruzen found me. I don't think I feel bad about killing Ichigo or the Gotei 13 who showed up at all, no… I just… was petulant. I didn't want to, so I was upset.

What exactly does [Gamer's Mind] do? Its most important function is preventing any negative mental debilitations from affecting me. Does that include guilt? I've seen it clearly with anger…

Have I actually been sad about anything important since I woke up in Konoha?

I shook my head. Here, in enemy territory, was not the best place to contemplate this. I needed to think about this when I returned home though. My morality was skewered enough in my old life… I don't need it to be ruined permanently. Or at least, if it is, I should know, so that I can switch paths and go fully evil. Has any gamer fanfiction I've ever read compel their main character down the dark path? I may have seen a couple but… not many, I think.

Wait, would that even be supported? The quests I can don't seem to be generated from my thoughts like some fanfiction, or else, believe me, I'd be level hundred right now. So, the question is whether the system wants me to be evil, or have I just subconsciously selected a path and gone down it?

A hero wouldn't have slaughtered ROOT. A hero would have learned sealing in the shortest possible time, figured out a counter-seal for their brands, and then reported to the Hokage. A hero would have participated in a controlled mission to take as many alive as possible. A hero would have told the Hokage about his skills from the start.

What… what did that make me? A villain? Or… something in between?

Ulquiorra set us down and I dutifully followed, landing without so much as a muted thud. I found Shaak Ti at my side in the next instant. Oh, that's why we were so slow – Ulquiorra set the pace according to her.

"Ah. Legion."

I looked up towards the voice and saw Aizen. But this wasn't the Aizen that I was so used to seeing. This was Aizen in chrysalis, with his face entirely hidden with white material and only his eyes visible. "Aizen." I greeted neutrally.

"I see that you have also ascended beyond the norm." he noted, and something told me he was smiling. "Would you like to accompany me to destroy the Soul King once and for all? Or would you like me to open the way into the realm where the Quincy are imprisoned right this moment?"

I shook my head. "Neither, really. I just wanna return home. I did what you asked and wiped out Genryuusai and Ichigo, though… and the others."

"Very good." The man… thing… nodded. "This allows me to conserve my strength for the Zero Division. Well. As for your payment…" he gestured with his hand.

The Hogokyou, planted in the center of his chest, flashed white and a book appeared in front of me, hovering. I scanned it.

[Skill Book – Time-Space Gate]

"The means to travel to your home is now with you." He gestured grandly. "You have helped me more than I could have hoped for. I do hope that we will remain in contact as the years go by. Perhaps even when you're more physically mature."

I arched an eyebrow but shrugged. "I don't know how this works, Aizen. But I can promise you this – if the door is open, and you ever need me, simply send me a message, and I will be here."

The man tilted his head. "Interesting. Your intrigue me as always, Legion." He said in lieu of farewell, perhaps, then about turned, walking away. In the distance, I couple see that capsule-spaceship thing that the Zero Division uses to travel to and from the Sereitei and the Soul King Palace. I narrowed my eyes when I saw a black flash go up, and then back down again. Were there any collectibles up there, too?

I shrugged and tapped on the scroll in front of me.

PING!

[You have acquired the skill book – Time-Space Gate.

Would you like to learn this spell?]

Duh! I accepted it immediately.

PING!

[You have learned a new skill!

Time-Space Gate (Active) Lv MAX

By concentrating, you are able to rip open a portal in space-time itself to travel to your destination. While dimensional boundaries mean nothing to you, you can only travel to a place you've already been to and a time you've already lived in.]

Okay, wow. What's next, make me omnipotent or-

Wait.

A place I've already been to. That part is just like apparating. I can't go to any place I haven't already been to. And I can't go to a time in which I'm not present or alive. Did… Did the Hogyoku react to my inner desires to remain as plain as possible? It gave me a way to freely travel between dimensions to a point of time when I left, but didn't give me any room to abuse it… well, at least not much room to abuse it. I couldn't go back to Kaguya's time and end her permanently, but I could travel back in time to tell myself to change a decision I made. Wait, would I just appear next to myself, or would I take over my older self's body? Would my skills jump with me in that case? Oh wow, my head hurts. I need to get away from here as soon as possible.

But, rule – no time travel. If I need to hop dimensions, I'll appear in the exact instant I left. But I will never, ever, try to rewrite something I've done. I don't know what could happen.

A hand on my shoulder started me out of my thoughts. I looked behind me to see Shaak Ti standing and, oddly enough, Tia and Tousen still lingering.

"Thank you for all that you have done for me." I bowed low to the latter two. "You educated me when there was no need to. For that, I will always be thankful."

"You are a wonderful student." Tousen simply said.

Tia waked forward and forced me to stand. "Then as a parting advice, remember this – there is never any reason to decline learning. Even if it may seem unusable to you as some point, learning a seemingly-useless ability can save your life sometime. Remember my words, and always keep learning."

I looked into her eyes and nodded. I was too overpowered now… but…

"Thank you." I said once again, then turned to Shaak Ti. "Are you ready to return to your home, Master?"

"About that…" Shaak Ti trailed. "I don't wish to return. I want to accompany you."

I froze. "What?"

"The Force pulled me into this place in preparation to meet you." She spoke. "Even before that… man… captured me for information, I was already having visions of you as I wandered the desert. In the time I've known you, this… sensation… that my future lies on the road you take, has only strengthened. And then you return my lightsaber…"

"Think about what you're saying." I muttered. "I don't know if this skill will work from where I'm talking about if you change your mind. You're probably asking for me to close the only door that exists into your universe."

She nodded, solemn. "I have decided. I will accompany you, Legion, wherever you go."

I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose. This… this makes talking to the Hokage a priority as soon as I get back. "Fine. I have to wait for-"

I paused midway as a rush of memories hit me. I found all fifty collectibles and, again, they had nothing fun to offer. I wonder if the replacement feature is only something available back home? Anyway. I quickly navigated over to my [Character Page] and assigned all the points. Strangely enough, none of my attributes would go beyond a thousand. So, with a hundred and thirty-three stat points on hand and a heavy feeling in my stomach, I accepted the change.

PING!

[You have reached the limit for all of your attributes. Would you like to Prestige?]

"That's strange." I murmured.

"What's wrong?" Shaak Ti asked, trying futilely to spot what had me confused with narrowed eyes.

"I'm not sure." I admitted. I tapped the question mark in the corner of the window, thankful that I had long ago purchased [Hints].

[Hints – Stats and Prestige

Every time you level up, you gain five attribute points to allocate to any of your six stats as you see fit. However, there are multiple other ways to receiver points aside from the obvious. Once you have allotted points up to the limit in all of your attributes, you can then prestige into a higher race.

As your base form, there is only so much you can improve even with the influx of multiple energies. The Prestige system allows you to, essentially, ascend into higher races. Each time you prestige, your limit is extended and, thus, you must spend more points to prestige the next time. There is no limit to the amount of times you can prestige.

When you choose to prestige, your level and attributes are reset to what you allotted at the start. You also receive the stat points you received naturally from the progression system, excluding all points earned through other means. However, you retain your perk points and skills as they are, and purchased perks remain as they are. Your base health and energies increase, your attributes increase in effectiveness, and you climb higher on the ladder of existence.]

My mind blanked out. I haven't heard of this sort of system in any fanfic I'd read when I was alive. But then again, this system is somewhat totally out of whack, so I guess it isn't unexpected.

I returned to the original window and accepted the offer.

[Name: Legion

Something in my eyes itched. I tapped 'yes'.

My eyes were itching really bad. As was the mark. Something inside my chest hurt too….

I did my best to ignore my discomfort and navigated over to the page as requested.

Okay, so apparently becoming a Nephilim is not just a simple race change. A lot of my skills have been played around with and merged. The [Mark of the Outsider] is the thing that's changed most, I think. [Void Gaze] has become an entirely separate skill – a Dojutsu. While the mark itself… wait. I know those branches of magic! Those are from…

Crap.

I can do Harry Potter spells now?! But, but… there was nothing such as Nephilim in Harry Potter… was there? Ugh!

Anyway, besides that, al my skill names seem to have been translated into English from their respective languages, regrouped properly according to their active or passive type, and sorted according to… what kind they are, I guess. Damn. Even if I go down to 1HP though, my fighting skills make my stats a non-entity. Dammit…

Here I am, crying about my stats, when it was my skills I should have been bothered about all along! Almost no chance for my opponent to dodge my sword strikes… no way for them to break my illusions…?

I… you know what? Fine. I'm overpowered. But watching those skills rise by the number is so satisfying… I'm practically a six-year-old Kage! Hell, there are people who'd kill to have powers like mine! So, you know what, fuck being underpowered…. And fuck whoever made it so easy for me to advance my skills. Don't they have any sense of moderation?!

Well… I guess it's never going to be okay with me how powerful I really am. I guess… it's just something I'm going to have to deal with.

"Legion?"

I looked up towards Shaak Ti and saw her concerned glance. It took me a while, but it was only then that I felt it. I brough my hands to my cheeks and… there! Wetness… Tears?

I wiped them off and shook my head. "Nothing is wrong, so don't worry." I reassured her. Did I just cry? How did I cry? Isn't sadness a negative mental debilitation? What, how why? Ugh, this game just gets more confusing by the day… "C'mon." I said, then turned away, picturing the last time I was in the elemental nations in my mind.

'I'm creating a portal home. A portal is being created. I will arrive just when and where I was pulled from.'

There was the sound of a bell tolling. A light breeze picked up, and suddenly, in front of us, a pitch-black orb appeared, grey wisps of energy forming and fading in random intervals around it.

"I guess… we have to step through." I shrugged. I didn't step forward yet.

Shaak Ti nudged me. "What's wrong? Don't you want to go home?"

I looked at my hands. I killed people here just because a quest told me to. Is that… is that something I should be ashamed of?

I clenched my fists and sighed. I'm a ninja, and I'm being overdramatic. Pretty soon I'm going to have to kill many people because of missions. I can't get cold feet now… once a ninja, always a ninja.

"Yeah." I murmured, reaching out to take her hand. "Let's go home."

Notes:

And we're at the end of Bleach! Finally! I don't know how starting this was so fun but the end never seemed to come. I wrote out many different paths this arc would take but eh. Obligatory skill list at the end too. Hope to see you for the Naruto arc!
