"Blessed be the peace that befalls us on this most joyus occasion." Daniel paused for a moment, taking the time to think of what he was going to say next. He was on a roll with the eloquent and proper. "This day has been coming for a long while. Ever since about five years ago I've known it was only a matter of time." He raised his glass. "To Mr. and Mrs. O'Neill." Everyone applauded as he sat down.
It had come as a shock to him when Jack had called him at about 3:00 in the morning to ask him if he would his best man. He remembered it took about five seconds to register that Jack was getting married, it took another five seconds to realize to whom Jack was getting married.
The soft clink of champagne glasses brought him out of his memories. Jack stood and raised his glass. A soft smile played across his lips.
"Daniel... Shut up." No-one could help but let out a chuckle, Jack shook his head. "Over the past nine years that man," He pointed emphaticaly at Daniel. "Has been one hell of a pain in the ass. But most of you have him to thank for this day." He set down his champagne and clapped, everyone soon joined. Daniel went slightly red.
Sam sat quietly at the table drinking her coffee. Jack sat next to her, Daniel across from her and Teal'c next to Daniel. They weren't SG-1 anymore but they were close as family. Jack slipped an arm around his new wife's waist.
"Careful with that, you'll ruin your dress." Jack took the cup from her hands. Sam was about to snatch it back when Walter ran up and whispered something to Jack. He smiled and grabbed her hand, pulling her to her feet.
"Shall we dance?" As they made thier way to the dance floor, a cheer erupted from most of the people there. A song with a familliar Piano entrance began playing.

It was a wonderful dance. It could have something to do with it being between two people who were so deeply in love and so ultimatley compatible, it was true magic in Daniels eyes. Both of them looked so completely happy, that nothing could ever ruin it. Jacob approached and cut in on the next dance, Sam was his daughter after all. She was glowing with joy, the sunlight made her eyes sparkle like shimmering pools of water. This was the most Peaceful day.
