Chapter 36: Graduation
"Congratulations." Barbara Gordon and her classmates heard their Professor say. "All of you passed the final exam. You're now graduates at Gotham University's Law School.
"Yeah!" All of them cheered.
"Good luck at the BAR exam." The Professor said.
The next day, Danny was telling his parents the good news. "I don't get why a lawyer needs to pass a bar exam." Jack commented. "Lawyers don't have to work as bartenders."
Danny didn't feel like explaining it to somebody who still thought the C.A.T. exams were for people to avoid being turned into cats. "Anyway, I'm going to her graduation party."
"Have fun, my astronaut." Maddie told her son.
"I will, Mom." Danny replied and flew away. During the flight, Danny was interrupted by Skulker. "I'll have your pelt…"
"Whatever." Danny replied. "I have something to do out of town so, what about making things easier for the both of us?"
"No deal, whelp." Skulker replied.
"In that case, you asked for it." Danny replied as he aimed a blast at the head of Skulker's armor, separating it from the rest of his body. Danny quickly sucked the real Skulker (the tiny blob) and his armor into a Fenton Thermos. "Now, let's hope I'm not late."
In Gotham, Danny noticed several police cars surrounding a bank. He also noticed a car with Mr. Incredible's symbol. Danny decided to land and ask one of the cops for information. "Bomb Voyage is robbing the bank and he has hostages." A cop said. "Batman is inside and, because Bomb Voyage is already wanted by the National Super Agency, Mr. Incredible is also here. He's trying to find a way in."
"I'll talk to him." Danny said and flew towards Mr. Incredible.
"Danny Phantom?" Mr. Incredible asked in surprise. "Are you also here to help?"
"Mr. Incredible, how do you feel about intangibility?" Danny asked with a suggestive tone.
A few minutes later, Batman was confronting Bomb Voyage. "Abandonne, homme chauve-souris! Vous n'êtes pas à la hauteur pour Bomb Voyage!" The villain demanded.
Translation: Give up, bat-man! You're no match for Bomb Voyage!
As Batman could see but Bomb Voyage couldn't, Danny was phasing Bomb Voyage's bomb away from the hostages and the bank. "Comment peux-tu me vaincre sans ta bombe?" Batman asked, making the villain look at the hostages.
Translation: How can you defeat me without your bomb?
"Qu'est-il arrivé à ma bombe?" Bomb Voyage desperately asked.
Translation: What happened to my bomb?
"We happened, Bomb Voyage." Mr. Incredible answered as he and Danny revealed themselves.
"Monsieur In…" Bomb Voyage tried to exclaim but Batman socked him down. "Mr. Incredible, you've experience handling him so I'll let you and the cops handle him now. About you, Phantom, don't you have a place you were going to before deciding to stop and help?"
"Right." Danny said and flew away.
Meanwhile, at Gotham University, thanks to people watching the news, everyone knew what held Danny. As he arrived, Barbara was happy to see him. "News came here, hero." She said with a smile. "How was it? Working with Mr. Incredible, I mean."
"I felt honored working with him, Barbara." Danny answered. "The weird part was dealing with a villain that spoke French in spite of being in America. Did Hawkmoth decide to send akumas to Gotham?"
"Without knowing what he wants Ladybug's and Cat Noir's Miraculous for, we can't rule out the possibility of him discovering another way to reach his goal, Danny." Barbara answered, playing along with his joke.
The Professor that wished Barbara and her classmates good luck at their BAR exam called them to get their diplomas. Barbara Gordon and a classmate of hers named Sam Young were congratulated for securing jobs at the District Attorney's office. "Work well, Gordon, and I might keep you in the team once I'm elected District Attorney." Sam Young said.
"Not of I become the District Attorney, Young." Barbara replied.
After the diploma delivery, Commissioner Gordon approached Barbara. "Time to go home, Princess."
"Dad, Danny and I want to spend some time together." Barbara objected.
"I'll be back in half an hour." Commissioner Gordon grunted. "Maybe less."
'Definitely less.' Danny sadly thought. Danny then picked up a small box and opened it, revealing a ring. "Barbara, will you marry me?" He asked her.
Ten minutes later, Commissioner Gordon returned and saw something that horrified him: his daughter had a ring. "Isn't that wonderful, Dad?" Barbara asked. "Danny proposed and I said yes."
"So, are you moving to Amity Park?" Commissioner Gordon asked. "What about your career?"
"No, Dad." She answered. "Danny is moving to Gotham."
"I can fly to Amity Park whenever there's a ghost attack my parents and the Ghost Blasters cannot handle and, if I felt the need of being Amity Park's full-time protector, I wouldn't have become an astronaut in the first place, Commissioner." Danny explained.
"Point taken." Commissioner Gordon begrudgingly said. "But I want to meet your parents to discuss the details."
After everything was said, Danny went back home. "Did she say yes?" Jack eagerly asked.
"Yes, Dad." Danny answered. "And her father wants you and Mom to meet and discuss the details."
"Son, you'll finally understand how I felt when we discussed details for when your Mom and I got married." Jack commented.
"Spare me the details." Jazz said. She came back to Amity Park upon learning of her brother's plan to propose.
"Young lady, you'll need to know that for when you and Antonio get married." Maddie sternly said.
"We're already making plans, Mom." Jazz replied.
"Without us?" Maddie asked.
"I don't want Dad scaring Antonio with ghost stories, Mom." Jazz explained.
End chapter.
Answer to Leonardo (Guest): Eu gostaria de ver revivals de "Jake Long, o Dragão Ocidental" e "Aladim". Eu adoraria ver uma temporada inteira (em vez de apenas um crossover) com o Aladim já sendo um príncipe.
