'Male, unresponsive, traumatic brain injury. Bilateral fixed dilated pupils. Police reported that he seemed confused, unable to speak and vomited on movement. Collapsed unconscious in the car.'

'Trauma team is on standby. Police escort in place.'

'Do we know who he is yet?'

'Negative. No ID on his person.'

The information was passed to the trauma team along with the patient, and he was whisked away. The policemen left, one sighing at all the paperwork that this would entail.

The ambulance crew took a break. They needed to get the bus ready for heading back out after using most of their advanced life support equipment, but after that pick-up they needed a time out themselves.

The trauma team were kept busy. They had to work fast and hard to relieve the building pressure on his brain. It may have been a small injury, but the depression was pressing onto his brain, causing swelling plus it was creating strain on his heart. This was going to take some time.

Gordon's panicked shout had attracted a nurse to come and see what the fuss was about, and as it became clear that the head of iR, TI and the Tracy clan had gone missing the hospital staff quickly began to panic. There was no such thing as non-essential staff, but anyone free was searching the hospital for any sign of Scott. Gordon helped while John and Virgil were shown into the room set aside for Alan once

John sat down and immediately set about connecting even further to the hospital network. It didn't take long to track his missing brother through the hospital to the exit, and he sighed. He should never have left Scott alone. Even without a head injury his brother would be blaming himself, and running was his way of coping. But John was having trouble tracking where he'd gone once outside.

EOS tore through the world looking for Scott.

Unfettered but careful, she jumped from cams to phones to ATM's and more, looking for anything that could give them a clue as to what had happened. Scott may still not be completely comfortable with the AI, but he was family, and he cared for John as much as she did.

It was a chance photo put up on a random social media account that led them to the truth.

'John?'

'Yes EOS?'

'I've found something.'

'Show me.'

Virgil and John watched with increasing concern as shaky footage showed their eldest brother get dogpiled by two cops. They winced as he threw up, and then when he was sat into the car Virgil sighed. At least it wouldn't take long to find which station he had been taken to.

John's sharp intake of breath brought Virgil's attention back to the screen, and he cried out with alarm when it looked like Scott had passed out in the car. And then the ambulance arrived and the video cut off to the medics running to the cop car.

Virgil may have paused, trying to take it all in, but John was already tracing the ambulance.

'He's here, Virgil.'

'What?!'

'Scott's here, in surgery.'

John's fingers whirled away. Together they watched via the security feed the surgical team working on their brother.

Gordon joined them just as Scott flatlined.
