Hello!!! And welcome to my first ever fanfic story, I decided to try my hand at this as a way to outlet my vast imagination. So with that said I decided to do a crossover story between Toaru Majutsu No Index and Fate. It will follow the Index/Railgun story line but with major changes especially down the line and I hope it will be as good as the other fics I've read.

Chapter 1: Strange Beginnings
The Root, the Akashic records, the very thing that created existence as it is known. For ages magus have tried to reach the true magic that lay within, and if one were to touch it directly could achieve godhood. Five magus were the only few able to transcend to true magicians, an example being the wielder of second magic, the kaleidoscope Kischur Zelretch Shweinorg who can see and govern parallel realities, and the wielder of fifth magic a young woman named Aoko Aozaki.
The two magician colleagues were currently held up in the old vampire's office within the clock tower, the headquarters of the Magus Association in London England, where they were discussing a pressing matter.
"This is the first time in the history of magic or magecraft that such an anomaly is occurring old man." Said Aozaki.
"I'm well aware which is why I had all the top magus as well as Chaldea itself look this matter regarding the worlds mana."
Over the past year the mana particles of the world began to violently shift and begin to coalesce into a single point in the Earth's upper atmosphere and it was interfering heavily with a magus' ability to preform their magecraft properly whether a spell goes wrong, or an experiment turned into a deadly accident, all magus of the moonlit world were freaking out due to the new development, many of them demanding answers from the association itself.
And so it was a high priority to figure out what was causing the convergence.
As the two magicians continue to chat on the subject another person barged into the room, it was Lord El Melloi II or Waver as he was originally called.
"I bring news from the Chald- AAH!!" Barely into his sentence El Melloi tripped up on a misplaced kaleidostick.
"Oh so that's where Ruby was, shouldn't you be floating around rather than laying there?" Asked Zelretch.
"Honestly, I was feeling a little lazy on the whole floating thing, the anomaly hasn't affected my or sapphires ability to draw mana from all known timelines."
"Well I shouldn't be surprised."
Aoko made her way to the groaning and restless instructor to check if he was ok.
"God damnit, ahem- lord Zelretch I bring news from the Chaldea Security organization."
"What have they found?"
"Something is manipulating the mana to act the way it is currently, Gaia, the world is actually having a hard time counteracting what ever this is."
"A force greater than the will of the planet itself, could it the Umbral Star?" Zelretch muttered to himself.
He then thought it over.
"Unlikely, the Velber haven't been a bother to Earth ever since the White Titan was destroyed by Excalibur, and it would be thousands of years before they even think think to come back around to finish what they started."
"I haven't a clue on what you're saying old man." Aoko spoke.
With that said in a sudden jolt, the two true magicians felt part of their power become sapped from them and Zelretch's eyes went wide.
He immediately activated a warp portal and rushed inside before it shrunk quickly.
"Sir wait!!"
"Old man!!!"
Upon coming out the other side Zelretch looked upon multiple orbs each depicting various realities and found the same anomaly in each one.
"What in the name of Akasha."
Within moments the dense mana spheres erupted sending great magic waves across space and time itself.
It was so great it ripped into the metaphysical realm where the root resides and punched a particular part of it.
The reverse side of the world, a realm in which mystery still remains untouched by human corruption, where gods and phantasmal beast alike had flocked to when the Age of Gods.
A particular goddess, or something more along the lines of a beast was resting within this very realm.
She was awoken by a mass burst of mana, and felt small part of her being get sapped from her, and she heard a very faint voice.
"Mikooon!!!"
"Hm, how interesting."
Blackness, that was all there was just infinite void, a divine spirit found herself manifesting in this, she wore a shoulder less blue kimono, had bubblegum pink hair, and a particular set of fox ears and a tail.
"Hello!" Nothing.
"Is anybody there!!!" Still nothing.
If she was to be summoned as a servant then something went way wrong, without independent action she would soon disappear.
She then decided to unleash light from her body to see better but it was a futile effort. Within moments the fox spirit started feeling a heavy sense of dread start to weigh on her from something, and she can feel it all around her.
The miko fox had a bad feeling she shouldn't even be here, where ever here was.
"Rotten luck!!" She heard a voice.
"Help!!" She couldn't see anyone but followed the voice nonetheless, the existential dread still enveloping as she pressed further into the darkness.
All of a sudden a light appears in front of her beckoning her to come as the voice rang out again, someone needed help and maybe it was the one that tried to summon her, well she would answer and greet her new master for that was the duty of a servant right? Especially the self proclaimed perfect wife Tamamo no Mae.
When the flash ended Tamamo found herself on top of a skyscraper in the middle of a city in the night. Getting her a feel for her surroundings she noticed the high tech feel of the city, not only that but she can feel a mass abundance of mana in the air comparable to if not greater then the Age of Gods but there was also something else as well.
Then the caster looked herself over and it quickly sunk in that she felt much more alive then she had in any other summoning. She wasn't just a construct of magic and spiritron particles into a solid ghost, she was brought back to life! But how? She can feel immense magic flowing into her along with another form of energy the same energy she senses around her.
It then dawned on her that answers will come when they do, for now she needed to find her new master and husband as quickly as possible to claim her mark, and lecture them for such a botched summoning.
So the miko fox focused on the link between her and the summoner and followed the trail.
After a half hour Tamamo found herself in a park and new she was close.
Her fox ears perked up as she heard voices behind across the brush.
"Alright asshole give up! The boys and I have you surrounded."
"Please can't we talk this out, this Kamijou only wants to go home with his groceries intact!!"
"You should have thought of that before you decided to cut into our business mr. wannabe hero, now we're gonna see you mangled to near death!!"
Tamamo looked on in disgust as she saw 15 thugs surround a rather plain looking teenager with a spiky hair style and immediately noticed the strong connection was coming from him, she had found her master.
Meanwhile in a certain building with no windows, a particular individual was floating in a high tech life preservation chamber.
They had the look of a man but also a woman, a saint yet a sinner, a child but an adult, regarded as the greatest magician ever known, and through his security system he bore witness to the new events.
"Interesting, it seems I'll have to make some revisions to fit in this unexpected anomaly."
And with that thought a wicked grin set on his face.
Author'sNote: Welcome to the end of the first chapter, now not gonna lie I'm a little nervous but as you wonderful readersgive your reviews I welcome some constructive criticism if need be as I'm looking to put my all into this story when I have time as I love both franchises. I fell in love withNasu's rendition of Tamamo no Mae's legend, it made me what would happen if she was to be partners with someone who can truly give her redemptionin this new second life.
On a side note there will be original arcs in this story and new major enemiesand expanded lore, also given time other servants will appear, especially during the fox hunt arc. Oh and before I forget I'll let you the readers come up with ideas for omakes.
