Yeah, I know, I'm posting this new chapter late. Even though I promised that I wouldn't. It just that Thursday happened to be Thanksgiving and I had a bunch of family over for the holiday, so...
I am not Nintendo or Rick Riordan, in case that wasn't obvious already. I do not own either of these universes, or nearly of these characters. The only thing about this I own is my own imaginations.
Now then let's get into this.
Chapter Eight
The Blood Moon
I immediately snapped my gaze over to Zelda, still on our porch. She saw the concern in my gaze and instantly began making her way over to me, not noticing the slowly rising blood moon. She quickly reached me, saw I was pointing up, turned around, and then paled.
"No." She muttered, starting to slightly tremble.
I checked the time on the slate, it was 10:50PM. Wait what? A little bit ago it was 9:30!
"What's going on? Why's the moon different?" Someone called out.
"The blood moon rises; evil's power rises to its peak under the hour of the blood moon." My wife says softly, almost to herself. "By its glow, the aimless spirits of monsters slain in the name of the light return to walk the land." Her voice rises in distress at that last part. Her words spark déjà vu in me from my last life.
"What?!" Someone speaks up.
Before anyone can answer, someone off to the side screams. All around us the ground erupts as stalfos climb out of the ground. I quickly count about eighty stalkoblins, sixty stalizalfos, thirty stalmoblins, and two stalnoxes. Ilia at this point begins screaming and kicking in my wife's arms, having caught sight of the monsters that have appeared right in the camp.
"Zelda, get yourself and Ilia inside the house immediately!" I urge her.
"OK, I will, be careful Link." She urges me as well.
With that she sprints off towards our house, fortunately no stalfos have appeared in her path. The stalfos seem to be waiting for something, not sure what. The time is 11:10PM when they charge, remembering what my wife and I had told about the monsters we knew of, everyone immediately targeted the heads of the monsters. I rush forward, drawing the Master Sword, when I see something that instantly terrifies me. I only see one stalnox, I quickly look around for the other, and see it slowly making its way toward my house.
Panic instantly stabs my heart, I bolt off in the direction of my home, desperately trying to reach it before the monster does. I soon realize it's going to get there first unless I do something and fast, without slowing down at all I cock back the Master Sword as though I'm about to throw it. I then move my arm in a throwing motion, but without actually letting go of my sword. A beam shoots out of the blade, racing through the air at tremendous speed.
It ploughs into the back of the stalnox's head. The monster jolts, freezes, and then turns to see where the attack came from. Upon seeing me, it acts momentarily surprised, adopting a very surprised looking stance for a moment. Then it comes at me, I raise my sword and fire another beam of light directly into its eye. The monster reels back, hands quickly covering its eye as it falls onto its tailbone, as though it were sitting. I sprint to it and land numerous hits on the skeletal abomination. It regains its footing and raises a curled bony fist to smash me flat, I brace myself.
Just as it starts to move, I jump to the side, activating my flurry rush ability. I race forward and strike again and again until the beast falls apart into bones. I must be quick now, if I don't destroy the eye quickly, the beast will reassemble itself without end. I skewer the eye on my sword, the stalnox bursts into smoke. Everyone else has wiped out the other stalfos by now. My wife steps back out onto our porch, holding little Ilia tightly to her chest.
I rush over to her, assure her that I'm alright, and then remember what is currently in the sky. I remember when glowing embers of malice begin to appear. People begin panicking like crazy, Ilia again begins crying in terror, seeming to somehow sense the evil in the air. The sky turns as red as blood, clouds begin to cover it, also blood red. Everything looks covered in blood in the light, in that moment my wife and I know what has just occurred. We know that this blood moon marks the return of the evil incarnate itself.
Then at exactly midnight, the light fades to normal and the malice disappears and the moon shrinks back to its normal white. Ilia is no longer crying, just whimpering quietly. People everywhere are shaking with fear at what had just happened. Zelda and I walk over to them, intent on telling them our realization of what had just returned.
"What in Zeus's name just happened?" Demanded Austin.
"That was the blood moon, it means he's back." I reply shakily.
"Ganon, or Ganondorf?" Lexa adds nervously.
Zelda and I glance at each other, for years we've suspected it, but now we knew. Now we know it's not Ganon or Ganondorf, rather it's the demon king he reincarnated from, Demise.
"No." Zelda answers, scared. "Someone far worse."

Third Person Omniscient
That night, far away in the Yiga clan's hideout in the cave in North Dakota, Sooga and Master Khoga were surprised when Astor suddenly began laughing maniacally.
"Something funny, seer?" Sooga asks, voice hard.
"I have at last succeeded! Our god returns this very moment!" He nearly screams in insane delight.
As he finishes his sentence the light outside turns blood red. Everyone knows what it is, a blood moon. They all get excited and rush to where Khoga, Sooga, and Astor are. Astor turns around as a massive swirling vortex of malice appears in the center of the room. Everyone gathers, simmering with excitement that their success is almost upon them. However, something unexpected happened, someone suddenly flew out of the vortex like they'd been thrown. The person slammed into the wall and slumped down, everyone stared at this person. This man…this was the person they were expecting to be revived, but then who was still reforming?
As the man got to his feet, everyone felt it at the same time. This man, Ganondorf, reacted to seeing them with horror, and everyone knew that somehow, he was no longer evil. Before anyone could do anything, a voice issued out of the still swirling vortex.
"KILL HIM!" It was huge and deep.
The Yiga as one surged upward with a roar and charged the former king of evil. The closest were almost on him when he flung up his hand and released a blast of light that sent everyone close by flying backwards. He began running as fast as he could for the mouth of the cave, trying to escape.
The fastest runners immediately began to pursue him, without slowing down he turned his arm back and fired again. The Yiga chasing him were blown away, leaving him unhindered.
"STOP HIM AT ONCE, HE'S GETTING AWAY WITH MY POWER!" Roared the figure in the vortex.
Sooga sprinted off, drawing his twin blades. He was maybe six feet behind Ganondorf, when the blast came. Sooga was hurled backward like he'd been punched by a hinox, he slammed into a weapons rack. It splintered and the weapons clashed and clattered to the ground. Ganondorf jumped down and out of sight. Quickly regaining his footing, Sooga raced to the cave mouth, and was joined just a few moments later by Khoga and Astor.
"Sooga! Muster our underlings and go out there and find him! Find him immediately! He will pay for his treachery to our cause!" Khoga raged, stamping his feet like a spoiled child.
"Yes, Master. Foot soldiers! To me! We have a target to locate!" Sooga called into the cave.
"You have made a wise decision." Astor spoke up. His face was turned to the other two. "While we did not foresee this, it changes little. We only ever needed the one who resided within him. Whether we locate him or not, he will not escape what is to come!"
"Yes! Quite true, prophet of doom!" Khoga exclaimed, before turning to his henchman, Sooga, who was still standing beside him with the summoned soldiers standing behind him. "Well what are you waiting for? After him! Find him and bring him to me! I demand that you bring him back alive and capable of answering questions, I want to know what made him turn against us!"
Sooga dipped his head and said, "Understood, Master, underlings let us go forth and find that traitor!" He and the foot soldiers dashed out and into the forest after Ganondorf.
Another voice broke in, speaking to the prophet of doom, "You speak truthfully, prophet, when we prevail that miserable little coward will not escape! It disgusts me to even think I used to be a part of him, and even now in his flight, he still kept the power that is rightfully mine!"
Despite their best efforts, Sooga and his party returned an hour later empty handed.
"Sooga, why didn't you bring back that traitor?" Khoga fumed.
"Forgive me master, he somehow managed to give us the slip! We followed what we thought was his trail, but it was a false one, the scum doubled back and went another way! We searched the entire area, he's nowhere to be found!" Sooga said, sounding mortified.
Khoga growled, clenching his fists tightly. The shadowy figure, now freed from the vortex, but still not entirely corporeal, spoke up.
"It matters not, in the end, he will not escape. I can forgive this failure…provided it doesn't happen again. While this will delay the return of my full power, it will still happen anyway. I can be patient for this, I have waited uncountable eons, I can wait a little longer." The demon rumbled.
"Quite true, lord Demise." Astor said.
"Hmm, he has gone to find his allies in this foolish bid to oppose us." Demise grumbles.
"Allies, what allies does he have?" Sooga looks up. "The people are all fools, they have forgotten everything about all this. They are no threat to us."
"There is much you don't know, much I have gleaned before this point, Sooga. You are not as alone as you think. There are others besides these pathetic insects. Others with true capabilities, others that are a true force. They call themselves half-bloods, they are the spawn of pitiful excuses for immortal beings. These half-bloods are centered in two locations." Demise says with disgust.
"Where? How many? Who are their leaders? Khoga demands.
"I don't know, the blasted nuisances have shielded their camps, I only know where they are. One is in San Francisco, the other Long Island Sound." Demise replies with contempt for the deplorable scum.
"We shall begin our plans for their annihilation!" Astor titters in glee.
"See that you do. I have waited uncountable eons after all, despite the curse I cast at the beginning, it seems to be weakening somehow. I can't just refresh it, unfortunately that isn't how my magic works." Demise rumbled.
Everyone began dispersing when Demise said, "For now at least, ignore the pathetic mortal fools, focus instead on the half-blood pests, eliminate them and then we will have all the time we want to get rid of the others."
The Yiga clan laughed in agreement. Then Demise added one last statement, "Oh, and one more thing, two of the half-bloods are the other two bearers of the sacred relic. The pesky hero and the wretched goddess-blood princess are around too."
I know, short chapter, but with the way this story flows, I thought it was best to keep this chapter separate.
