A new day had come as the sun rose from behind the hills. The birds chirped and the roosters called out. It was going to be another regular day for the citizens of Canterlot.

Or so everyone thought at first. Recent events had been anything but normal. The sudden appearance and attack from Metal Sonic had started spreading all over the news within hours. Reporters, newspapers, internet video creators… Just about everyone in and outside of Canterlot was talking about the attack.

A specific part of Canterlot Park had been marked temporarily off-limits as the police were investigating the situation and getting any information they could from witnesses. Anything they could learn from anyone was from the damage that Metal had caused to the strange explosion on the mountain.

Far away from Canterlot City in the forest where Sonic defeated Metal, everything was quiet. The damage in the ground from their battle was left there with the dirt and broken branches from the trees scattered around. So far, no one was aware of how much the fight had gone outside of Canterlot… at least not yet.

As the birds chirped and the squirrels scattered around looking for acorns, it was quiet and once more peaceful with only the sound of the wind and the rustling leaves.

A mother squirrel and her three babies were gathering a pile of acorns that had just fallen from a tree. As they were picking them up to take them back to their safe place, there was a sudden bright flash of light as a portal suddenly opened in the background. The squirrel family was startled by the noise and started running off in fear.

This portal appeared fairly similar to the ones that Sonic and Metal had come out of, albeit smaller and more stable than the previous ones. After a few moments, two figures came flying out of the portal and collided with the ground with a grunt. The portal then closed off leaving the two figures stranded.

One of the figures blinked as his vision became briefly blurry after the little portal adventure. The other figure called out to him, his voice slightly echoing but still familiar, "Uhhh, Shadow? Don't wanna freak you out, but…"

Shadow was able to tell that voice belonged to Gage, "What are you talking ab–"

Shadow was silenced with confusion as he realized what Gage was trying to tell him. Shadow had turned into a human in this world as well. His skin colour was yellowish-peach, his quills turned into spiky hair with the red streaks and his hedgehog ears sticking out, and he kept his crimson red eyes. He wore a midnight black leather jacket with the inside of the collar solid white, a silver streak across the shoulders and plastic elbow pads on the elbows. Underneath the jacket was a flint gray shirt with his signature crimson red logo on the chest. He also wore pitch black jeans with a gray belt that had a bright gold buckle on the front, and he also had his hover shoes, albeit in a different shape in this word. On his hands were coal black and cloud gray fingerless biker gloves each with the red tongue and gold inhibitor rings from his previous accessories.

Shadow pondered in wonder as he examined his humanized hands, "Well… this is… unusual."

"I'm surprised you're not that shocked by the change," Gage said, "First time it happened to me, I was absolutely terrified and confused."

Gage himself had also become human. His skin was peach, his spiky hair was fire yellow, and he still had the same coloured eyes as before. He wore a canary yellow hoodie with white sleeves. Underneath the hoodie was a light gray shirt with black on the neck drop. He also had Aegean blue jean pants, and his footwear were the same red and black shoes with silver buckles and white socks.

Shadow stood on his feet, feeling his human face to process his transformation, "So this is how it feels to have a human body."

"Yeah, it's weird, right?" Gage shrugged.

Shadow took a moment to examine his clothing, honestly feeling a little unsure of it. He couldn't see if this suited him the best, but he decided to just run with it. He brushed some dust off his jacket as he looked around, "Do you think this dimension could be where Sonic and Eggman ended up with the Chaos Emeralds?"

"Probably," Gage scratched his chin as he examined their surroundings, "For what I could tell before what just happened, my Crystal was catching their presence. But I think the energy from it and the Master Emerald combined might have been a little too much."

Suddenly, Gage was silent as he stood frozen in place, his eyes widened in shock. He looked down and started searching himself and his pockets in a panic, only to realize… "My Crystal's gone!"

Shadow turned to Gage in surprise, "What?"

"I lost my Chaos Crystal!" Gage grabbed his hair as he freaked out, "I must've dropped it back in Mobius! What are we gonna do?!"

Gage felt like he was right on the verge of ripping his hair off his head when Shadow called out, "Calm down! We know that the Chaos Emeralds all ended up in this world, if it is the right dimension. Perhaps we can still make contact with the Master Emerald if we gather them all."

That idea was enough to make Gage calm down, "Good idea. But… where can we even find them? I mean, I have gone to a dimension with this effect before, but I don't think this is that dimension."

"Only one way to find out," Shadow answered, "I suggest the first thing we do is get out of this forest and see if we can find the nearest city."

Back over in Canterlot, CHS had its students coming in ready for their next day at school. An announcement from Principal Celestia came through the speakers, "Good morning, students, and happy Thursday. Just a reminder to pick up your ballets for the Princess of the Fall Formal today; they are due by the time the dance starts tomorrow night so don't forget to turn them in and make your voice heard."

Sonic and Twilight were still in the library, fully awake with clear heads and ready for the day with a plan. Twilight explained an idea as she walked with Sonic and Spike to the door with a few pieces of paper in hand, "Fluttershy said I'd need to win over all the different groups if I want to become Princess of the Fall Formal, so I've compiled a list of talking points."

Sonic gave a nod to Twilight's idea, thinking this could be helpful. Spike, on the other hand, just sounded amused as he laughed, "You made a list? That's so unlike you."

Twilight, with a stern expression, turned around to face Spike, held her open backpack out in front of him and pointed into it, telling him to get inside. With a sheepish laugh, Spike climbed into the backpack, "Uh, please, continue."

"I'll start introducing myself; sprinkle in some things I've learned about their world into the conversation. Show them how I fit in here."

Twilight and Sonic stood in front of the door, knowing their next move. With a relaxed deep breath, Twilight opened the library doors into the hallway, "Okay, guys. Time to make a good first impression on our fellow students."

Some students were already in the hallway. Twilight took a moment gazing down the hallway, "The whole world sort of depends on it."

All of a sudden, Sonic perked at the thought of something, "Oh, shoot!"

He turned his head to see that he forgot his backpack which had the three Chaos Emeralds inside, "You go on ahead, Twi. Gotta grab my pack before I lose it."

"Don't get too far behind," Spike joked with an arched eyebrow.

Sonic scoffed with a smirk, "You kiddin'? I'm never that slow."

Sonic quickly rushed back up to the second floor in the library to grab his backpack. With his superspeed, it took him about 10 seconds to find his backpack. After a quick doublecheck and an acknowledgement that he still had the Emeralds and everything else there was before, he put the backpack on and headed back. He slid down the railing to the bottom floor before jumping off with a side flip and landing in front of the door.

Then, Sonic noticed something. Something… off. The students were all looking at Twilight… and laughing. And not in a "laughing-to-a-joke" kind of way. It was more like they were laughing at her because they found something silly out of her. This didn't feel right for either Twilight or Sonic.

Sonic, without using his superspeed, rushed over to catch up to Twilight. Then the very second he was in sight of the laughing students, they all laid eyes on him with their jaws dropped, shocked and silent. They started to whisper to each other about Sonic. This only made Sonic himself even more confused.

As soon as Sonic caught up with Twilight and Spike, they stopped walking as they wondered what in the world was going on. Sonic scratched his head while looking at the students in confusion, "What gives? Why were they all laughing at you? And how did I suddenly make everyone whispery?"

"I… don't know," Twilight responded, just as confused as Sonic, "One second, they were all looking at me funny and then the next second–"

But before Twilight could finish her sentence, both she and Sonic were suddenly grabbed by a pair of hands from behind. Without getting a chance to react, they were pulling right into a classroom, "WHOA!"

Sonic and Twilight slid across the floor and ended up colliding with a table. Sonic himself almost had his head forced into a pile of books due to the force from the impact. Twilight quickly hid Spike in her backpack before whoever pulled them in got the chance to see him.

Sonic swiftly turned around to face the grabber, "Hey! What was that for?"

The person who pulled them into the room quickly closed the door, locked it for safety, and pulled down the curtain. It was another teenage girl, but not just a random one; it was the fifth girl from the photo that Twilight found in the yearbook. Just to be sure he wasn't mistaken, he lightly elbowed Twilight and asked, "That's supposed to be… Rarity, right?"

Twilight, who didn't look at him or blink, simply nodded yes. Spike poked his head out of his hiding place to see what was going on.

Rarity's colour was light gray, her stylized curly hair was moderate indigo-purple with a cobalt blue three-diamond hair clip, and she had moderate azure blue eyes with light cornflower bluish gray eyeshadow. She wore a sparkly golden tank top which had violet-purple on the collar, and over the shirt was an unzipped short sleeve moderate cobalt-blue furry jacket. She also wore a dark purple straight skirt which had the image of three arctic blue diamonds on the left front, and her footwear were violet-purple and white high heels with a diamond design on the heel and front. Additional accessories included a golden bracelet on both her wrists and a golden purse hanging from her shoulder with the image of a purple horseshoe.

Rarity approached both Sonic and Twilight in a rush. She tossed a purple bag to Sonic as she directed herself to Twilight specifically, "Could you hold this for me, darling?"

Sonic, who managed to catch the bag from the bottom, just stood, still confused, "Umm… sure?"

Rarity pulled out a measuring tape from her purse and started examining Twilight from the length of her clothes to the shape of her head and the size of her boots, all in an uncommonly short time too. After her examination, she stood up straight and put her hand on her chin to think. Sonic opened his mouth and tried to say something, but he wasn't able to get the chance when Rarity suddenly smiled as she had an idea. She turned to Sonic and opened the zipper in her bag, looking through the supplies she had inside trying to find what she had in mind.

After tossing a few different spare clothes to the side, she finally found what she was looking for, "Perfect."

Rarity raised whatever she found in the air and swung it downward onto Twilight. In literally one second, Twilight was suddenly in a new set of clothes. The outfit in general was light and dark green, her boots were replaced with lime green shoes, and she even somehow had a blonde yellow wig on her head, much to Twilight, Spike and Sonic's confusion.

Rarity smiled with confidence at the result, "Oh, yes. This is good. No one will recognize you."

Understandably not understanding what this was about, Twilight tried to ask, "Why wouldn't I want to be–?"

Rarity didn't let her finish, "But we're still gonna need a disguise for your friend and your dog."

Spike received a boop on the nose from Rarity as he stared at her with hearts in his eyes, and this was followed with a scratch on his chin, "Which is too bad. Both because your dog really is so adorable…"

Rarity then moved back a step with a sigh before examining Sonic, "And because I unfortunately have little to no experience on designing fashion for men. Though, with a little careful research, I think I could figure something out…"

Feeling rather uncomfortable at this idea, Sonic attempted to protest while dropping Rarity's bag on the floor, "Okay, hold on a second here! I haven't given my consent for–!"

Once again, Rarity cut him off as she shrugged, "Oh, well. Nothing's ever easy to design anyway."

Then Rarity let out a little gasp with a smile as she gave a suggestion to Twilight, "Y'know, with a little work, I think I can make your dog look like a rabbit instead."

Spike, surprised by Rarity's idea, slipped out of Twilight's backpack and fell to the floor on his stomach with a light thud, "Huh?"

"A rabbit?" Twilight asked, feeling uncertain.

"Really?" Sonic deadpanned, raising an eyebrow.

The background silence was broken as another door opened from behind them, and who would it be but a certain cowgirl, "Twilight, Sonic! There you are."

Sonic and Twilight were both surprised to see Applejack. Rarity, on the other hand, blankly looked away with her arms crossed, puzzled, "So much for the disguise."

Applejack walked into the room with a smile, glad to have found Sonic and Twilight, "Ah've been lookin' all over for you two."

Apparently, Applejack wasn't the only one as Fluttershy appeared from outside the side of the door, "Me too."

And then Pinkie Pie popped out of nowhere from above, "Me three!"

The energetic party girl popped up in between Twilight and Sonic, her arms around their shoulders. She then noticed the outfit Twilight with that smile of hers as bright as ever, "I like your new look, Twilight. How come you haven't got one, Sonic?"

Rarity bluntly butted in and commented at her, "I do have an eye for these sorts of things. Not that you seem to care."

Pinkie immediately exclaimed at Rarity's comment, "What?!"

Twilight, wanting to understand the situation, asked, "Why do you think she doesn't care?"

This only made Pinkie bite her lower lip as she twitched in frustration with the sound of steam hissing like a bomb about to explode. Fluttershy covered her mouth with her hands in fear while Applejack desperately motioned to Twilight with her hands not to ask, to which Twilight decided to drop the question, "No, nevermind."

While Twilight pulled her wig off her head, Sonic spoke up with his arms crossed, "Seriously, why were all of you looking for us anyway? What's going on?"

This question left the rest of the girls surprised and unsettled. Fluttershy was worried, "Oh, they haven't seen it yet."

"Seen what?" Twilight asked.

After having Twilight sit down in a chair, Pinkie sat a laptop on the desk and opened it with a video on the internet ready to play. Sonic and the rest of the girls were gathered around as Pinkie pressed the play button while nervously laughing, "Oh, it's really not that bad."

The video had Sunset's voice narrating as it showed footage of Twilight in the library, "Twilight Sparkle wants to be your Fall Formal Princess."

The footage of Twilight was absolutely embarrassing, showing clips of her bashing her fists on a keyboard, holding a book in her mouth with a foolish expression, and getting jumpscared by a sudden flash of light from a printer as Sunset continued, "But what does it say about our school if we give someone like this… such an important offer?"

Twilight was absolutely horrified by what she had just seen right in front of her eyes, "Wha… I…"

Sonic quickly closed the laptop for her, knowing she didn't need to see anymore. Pinkie felt embarrassed by her previous comment, "I take that back. It's pretty bad!"

Fluttershy held her arm with concern, "I'm sorry to tell you how you're involved in this, Sonic, but… Sunset Shimmer… she also–"

Sonic quickly swiped Pinkie's laptop from the desk and opened it up again, "Oh, don't tell me. She did not…"

Sonic hit the play button as the video wasn't finished, and what he saw next was footage of himself walking through the library with Twilight as Sunset's voice spoke again, "Oh, and look who's friends with her."

Sonic was silent with wide, puzzled eyes and a frown. Applejack awkwardly remarked, "Yeeeeeeeah, she did."

With a few sharp inhales and exhales, Sonic scrolled the select key to close the window page, shut the laptop and held it out for Pinkie to take it. She did so and the only thing that came out of Sonic's mouth next was just a loud, angry, "WOW!"

Clearly, that was an absolutely unnecessary stunt. Twilight was awestruck with shock as she hid half herself behind her chair, "But this all happened yesterday! At the library! Has everyone in the school seen this? Is that why they were all looking at me that way?"

The only answer out of the other girls was a sorrowful, "Mmm…"

At this point, Sonic could only facepalm for Sunset's video stunt, "That's a new low if I've ever freaking seen one."

Twilight was now in deep doubt of her plan to win as Princess of the Fall Formal as she threw her arms out at the laptop, "Oh, what am I going to do? No one's going to vote for me. Not after seeing that!"

Sonic gave Twilight a pat on the shoulder feeling very bad for her. Fluttershy bent down to Twilight's level as she wanted to try and help her feel better, "Not that it'll make any difference, but I'll still vote for you."

This support proved to be unhelpful as Twilight just slammed her forehead on the desk with a thunk. Fluttershy still tried to be cheerful, "You were so nice to stand up for me when Sunset Shimmer was picking on me yesterday."

Fluttershy then stood up straight, her cheeks turning pink out of embarrassment as she realized she almost forgot about Sonic doing the same, "Oh! Sorry, Sonic. You too."

Sonic simply smiled as he waved his hand, "Hey, no worries. Twilight's more important right now, but I appreciate it. Besides, I wasn't gonna let you be her victim and do nothing."

Sonic gave Fluttershy a quick wink, to which she smiled and slightly turned away as she felt the blush on her cheeks; she still had a small liking for him. Pinkie made herself apparent for also wanting to support Twilight, "If you still want to run, maybe there's something I can do to help."

Though that offer made Twilight give a smile, it didn't do the same for Fluttershy as she advised her bluntly, "Word of advice, don't accept her help. She doesn't take anything seriously."

Insulted, Pinkie scoffed and stomped her foot on the floor in annoyance, "Ugh! Why do you have to be so awful to me?"

Rarity scoffed more as she brushed off Pinkie's words while pointing at her and Fluttershy, "Oh, pfft-kch-tff! Don't play innocent, Pinkie Pie. You're not better than she is!"

Not understanding this statement, Pinkie yelled loudly in Rarity's face with her voice strong enough, somehow, to create a breeze to blow her hair, "And what is that supposed to mean?!"

"I am happy to offer up my assistance as well," Rarity answered calmly while being direct to Twilight, before she angrily yelled at Pinkie, "To someone who would appreciate what I have to offer!"

With all three of them in the heat, Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity all started to bicker themselves as they argued in the room. Panicking, Spike leaped into Twilight's backpack to hide, zipping up the zipper for good measure. Twilight and Sonic were stuck in the crossfire; they were unable to know what to do.

Hearing enough of the arguing, Applejack finally spoke out, "Listen to y'all carryin' on! Just get over it and move on!"

All were quiet with their eyes on the cowgirl as Applejack dropped an apple core in the garbage bin and turned away, her eyes shut and her arms crossed. Rarity wouldn't have it as she started accusing her, "You mean like how you've gotten over what happened with Rainbow Dash?"

This made Applejack's eyes snap open as she answered, "She said she'd get the softball team to make an appearance at my bake sale. I tell everybody they're comin', and then not one of them shows up! She made a liar outta me! That's different."

Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity countered Applejack's response, "Is not!"

Applejack countered them back, "Is too!"

And the arguing only worsened and worsened. No signs of exhaustion, no signs of stopping. As the girls bickered on and on, Twilight and Sonic were reaching their breaking point. Wanting the noise to stop, they both stood straight up and yelled really loudly over everyone else, "STOP!"

Their outburst was enough to make everyone else in the room silent. Twilight was the first to speak, "All of you, that's enough! This can't go on anymore!"

Rarity was about to protest, "Darling, you certainly have no right to–"

"RARITY!" Sonic shouted even louder, making her quiet with widened eyes, before he quickly took a deep breath to lower his voice and calm down, "Please. Let us. Talk."

Waiting for five seconds, none of the four girls said another word but all nodded yes, to which both Sonic and Twilight gave a relaxed sigh, "Thank you."

Twilight sat back down in her chair as she held her hand out to her backpack, "There's something we found in the library that we want you to see."

Spike opened the backpack and handed the yearbook to Twilight without coming out. With an orange tape marking a specific page sticking out, Twilight opened the book to the page of the girls in their younger years, "You were friends once."

The girls all gathered around to look at the photo, and it was a moment they never forgot about. "Hmm. The Freshman Fair. Y'all remember?" Applejack asked.

Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity all sorrowfully nodded yes. Sonic walked in front of Twilight's desk with his fists against his hips, "Judging by how you all looked in that photo, you five seemed inseparable. And Twilight and I don't think your friendship fell apart from some random change in behavior; we think Sunset Shimmer had something to do with it."

With a sigh, Rarity was the first to respond as she put her hand on Sonic's shoulder, "Well, darling, that's a nice theory, but I'm afraid it's false. After all, you two weren't around at those times."

Sonic acknowledged this as he crossed his arms, "You're a hundred percent right. About the second part, that is. I think it'll help if we go into detail. And please, no more butting in. Now, who's first to tell their side of the story?"

Fluttershy was the first to speak, "Sunset Shimmer is mean, but she's not the one who ruined my silent auction for the animal shelter by bringing fireworks and noisemakers."

With a scowl, she crossed her arms and turned away while shifting her eye directly at Pinkie, "It was supposed to be a serious event, and Pinkie Pie ruined it!"

Pinkie scowled back at this, "What are you talking about?!"

She pulled her cellphone out of her hair and showed Fluttershy specific texts on the screen, "I got a text from you saying you didn't want a silent auction; you wanted a big party! See?"

Fluttershy looked at the texts on Pinkie's phone for one second, and then she turned to face it fully with her eyes wide open, stammering confused, "W-what?"

As she tried to process this, Sonic suddenly stepped in between them, "Whoa-whoa-whoa, hold the phone a second there, Pinkie."

Pinkie bluntly glanced at him with her eyebrow raised, "Um, I already am, dude."

"That's not what I meant," Sonic facepalmed, before he held his hands up, "You say Fluttershy, the quietest and nicest girl I've met at this school, wanted a big, noisy party?"

Twilight stood up from her chair with her finger on her chin, "That doesn't sound like Fluttershy at all."

Pinkie opened her mouth as she was about to protest, until Fluttershy responded to Pinkie's claim, "I never sent you a text. Unless… could she have…?"

"Fluttershy, check your phone," Sonic suggested, "See if you got the same texts on your end."

Fluttershy nodded and grabbed her phone from the pocket in her fleece. She opened up the texts between her and Pinkie, scrolling through to find the same date on Pinkie's end. The two girls held their phones side-by-side to compare and Pinkie's had the supposed text from Fluttershy while Fluttershy's… was completely clean.

Now Pinkie was as clueless as Fluttershy, "You… you really didn't?"

Fluttershy shook her head no with honesty in her tone. This caused Rarity to speak out, "Wait a minute; if Sunset Shimmer might have taken or even hacked Fluttershy's phone, you don't suppose she could've been the one behind those emails, do you?"

She added while holding her hand out to Pinkie, "Every time I volunteer to help with the decorations at a school function, I get an email from Pinkie Pie saying that she has plenty of volunteers! And then I found out she's done everything herself."

Sonic and Twilight thought about this statement, tapping their chins with their fingers. Pinkie was quick to answer, "I never sent you any emails at all."

All of this caused Applejack to wonder, "Maybe she's also the reason Rainbow Dash never showed up for my bake sale."

Twilight asked, "Didn't you ever ask Rainbow Dash why she didn't show up?"

This made Applejack feel ashamed as she took her hat off and held it in her hands, "Heh… I guess I kinda stopped talkin' to her at all after that."

Sonic gave Applejack a pat on the shoulder before putting her hat back on her head, "By all means, I think now's the right time to start again. And we're all going. Together."

This made Applejack smile as she looked at Sonic warmly, "Heh-heh, thanks, Sonic."

A small hint of red briefly shined on Applejack's cheeks, before she quickly cleared her throat, "And thank you too, Twilight. Without you two comin' to Canterlot High, I don't think we would've figured this out ourselves."

The rest of the girls all nodded in agreement. Then all of a sudden, there was a buzzing noise as Applejack felt a vibration in her pocket, "Oh, one moment, that's my phone."

Applejack pulled out her phone to see someone calling her; Apple Bloom. She gave an embarrassed chuckle to the others, "Just a sec, it's mah sister."

She answered the call and held her phone to her ear, "Hey, sugarcube. What's up?"

Applejack's smile suddenly shifted away as what she was hearing sounded too quick, "Whoa-whoa-whoa! Apple Bloom, slow down. I can't understand ya. What? Why?"

The others took notice of Applejack's expression and started looking concerned. After a few more seconds, Applejack nodded, "Uh, y-yeah, sure, I'll check it out."

After she hung up, Rarity asked, "What's wrong, darling?"

Applejack answered, "Apple Bloom just said Canterlot City News is broadcasting something big and we gotta see it now."

"I got it!" Pinkie pulled out her laptop again and opened it up.

Pinkie searched through the internet to find Canterlot City News going live and she selected the stream to see what was going on. The video showed a woman reporter talking to the camera with the microphone, "Yesterday evening, there was an unexpected event that took place in Canterlot Park."

Hearing this caused all of the girls and Sonic to gather at the laptop drawn by what was about to be told. The reporter continued as footage started playing, "A strange light came falling out of the sky and then something rose from the crash site."

Sonic's eyes suddenly widened in shock by what the footage started showing; Metal Sonic attacking the athouries with the civilians running away in fear, along with the gun battle and the helicopters being taken down. The reporter added, "Some kind of… advanced robot emerged and overwhelmed the authorities without any effort, wasting anything that stood in its way."

The girls were all staring at the screen with their eyes unable to look away. Sonic grabbed his head out of fright; someone had recorded all of this and it went public! And just as it didn't look like it could get any worse, the reporter added more, "But then something– someone else came… and knocked it away."

Now the footage was showing Metal getting bashed around in the air by an electric-aura-covered Sonic before he was launched away into the distance. It then took a moment to focus on him standing still for a moment before he rushed off with his superspeed, his blue blur following him. Sonic grabbed his hair freaking out inside; his cover was blown!

The reporter, now once again on screen with a separate image of Sonic next to her, added, "We have no knowledge of who this person is or what he desires. Some suspect that both of these individuals may have come from a secret laboratory while others think they might have come from another planet somewhere across the universe. At this point, the damaged area of Canterlot Park has been marked off-limits while the authorities investigate the situation."

Now the girls started looking closely at the image of Sonic on the screen, squinting their eyes to adjust their vision. Sonic panicked inside as he knew they were going to recognize him on the footage at any second; he had to get out of the room while they were distracted. He swiftly made his move and rushed towards the door.

Applejack, after looking at the picture, gasped with amazement; she recognized the person in it, "No way! Is that–"

"I think it is, darling!" Rarity agreed with her eyes wide open, "It's actually Sonic!"

"Wow!" Pinkie exclaimed with excitement and proceeded to turn around, "That's amazing! Who knew he could actually do that? Sonic, your moves in that were awesome! How did… you…"

Pinkie quieted down when she and everyone else realized that Sonic wasn't even in the room anymore; not hiding behind the teacher's desk or an open window. "W-wait, where'd he go?" Applejack asked, looking around.

At that very second, there was the loud sound of the door slamming from behind them. Fluttershy turned straight to the source of the noise, "He went out the door!"

Rarity gasped in realization, "He's running away!"

Pinkie suddenly popped up from out of nowhere in front of the girls wearing some kind of military-like outfit all coloured in a pink-camo style, a helmet on her head and black painted stripes on her cheeks, "He's hiding something! And we're going to find out what! After him!"

Though the rest of the girls nodded in agreement to go after Sonic, Twilight and Spike were both worried as they knew that their friend was now in trouble. Regardless, they followed the others and headed down the halls to find Sonic.

(What is Sonic? (FNAF The Musical: Night 3 - Instrumental) - Random Encounters (YouTube))

The girls ran down the hall beginning their search for Sonic. However, right after they were out of sight, one of the lockers opened by itself and Sonic stepped out from hiding inside. He shut the locker door and leaned against the wall with a sigh of frustration.

Sonic: I just can't believe that my cover's been blown, I thought there'd be less to undergo

But now that the girls are all onto what's been shown, it's probably time for me to go…

As soon as Sonic zipped out of sight, our sights were now on the girls looking around for the Mobian, checking corners or calling down hallways. Pinkie was quick enough to turn her head to face us, the readers, and briefly break the fourth wall, "Let's just hope Random Encounters won't sue us for borrowing their song."

"Who?" Fluttershy asked, arching an eyebrow in confusion.

"Oh, nobody," Pinkie just shrugged with her usual bright smile, "Anyway…"

As they continued searching, multiple students pondered with each other about what Sonic could possibly be.

Violet Blurr: What is Sonic? Is he even human? To have those powers…

Blueberry Cake: We people can't do that stuff!

Watermelody: Could it really be… that he's an alien?

Indigo Wreath: From a whole nother world? Hmm, that's tough

Sonic used his super speed to move faster than the naked eye could see him from place to place, hiding from any students passing by across the halls, all while processing the whole situation in his mind.

Sonic: Halls are crowding, until it's all too tight for me to sneak out when all their eyes are on me…

How'd I not see… who was recording me? Just what else is there to see?

So far, the girls had no luck in locating Sonic. He could've gone anywhere or even out of school.

Twilight: Was that really him on the news?

Applejack: No doubt, it clearly showed his face

Rarity: The news never lies, Sonic's the one who denies

Fluttershy and Pinkie: And all we can do now is ask, why?

Meanwhile, Sunset was in an empty classroom with Snips and Snails. Apparently, she was not happy with Snails' video of Sonic as she yelled furiously in his face, "I said I only wanted you to keep an eye on Sonic, you idiot! Not make a video and post it online!"

Snails scratched his head, "Duh, but I thought you wanted to see if he was a threat to your plans!"

Sunset snarled in annoyance as she turned away from the boys; this seemed to really put some kind of foil in her plan. Momentarily, she heard the sound of running footsteps approaching out in the hall. She peeked outside to see Sonic running down the hallway in her direction and shouted to get his attention, "Hey, you!"

Sunset reached her arm out and attempted to grab Sonic but the Mobian dropped down and slid across the floor. In the process, his foot hit Sunset's leg, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the floor face first with a smack. She raised her head with cartoon dizzy eyes and stars circling her head as she moaned in pain while Sonic quickly got back onto his feet and yelled back at her as he continued to move without looking behind him, "Sorry! Can't talk! Runnin' for my life right now! Bye!"

Transitioning back to the girls again, the girls were all now grouped up pondering what to do in order to find Sonic.

Applejack: Trail's gone dead cold, and now I'm wonderin' if he's even around (Background students: Oh, he's definitely 'round)

Rarity: He was certainly bold, to keep his secret deep, but we've got to look 'til he's found

Pinkie: What should we do? Ooh! I'm good at Hide and Seek!

Twilight: Let's look for clues, Sonic's got to be near

Fluttershy: Maybe he knew, this was going to happen, but how could he disappear?

Sweat began sliding down Sonic's forehead as he struggled to remember where the right exit was with all the tension building. More and more students were starting to take notice of him passing by.

Sonic: (Thinking) They won't ignore me anymore; I wished there was a map for this place!

Seeing no other option, he started asking anyone he could for help to get out.

Sonic: Can anyone here help me? I need you, please, to tell me where the exit is before there's a chase!

Before anyone could get the chance to say anything, Sonic felt the sudden grab of a hand from behind on his hood. Without enough time to react, it was pulled right off his head and his hedgehog ears were exposed. All of the students present gasped at the reveal of his Mobian features.

Sonic swiftly turned around to see that it was Sunset Shimmer who yanked his hood off again. Her face was burning red with steam hissing out of her head in heat as she snarled at the Mobian, "You must feel so special right now, huh, Sonic?!"

"What the heck, Shimmer?!" Sonic wailed his arms, "You know that stunt you pulled on me and Twilight was real low? Well, now look at what you've done!"

Sunset shouted as she pressed her finger against Sonic's chest, "It's what happens when you try to foil what I desire! But now ever since you showed up, you're getting all the attention in the school! You think you can take the crown from me? The crown that's rightfully mine?!"

Sonic opened his mouth as he was about to respond when all of a sudden, something collided with him and he was pulled right off from the floor. The students gasped in surprise at what just happened.

Sonic shook his head from the collision before he realized that he was caught by Pinkie riding a book cart down the hall at fast speeds, "PINKIE?!"

Pinkie was now wearing a white and bright-pink striped superhero-like costume with a mask as she held onto Sonic tightly on the book cart, "Never fear, Pinkie Pie is here!"

Then Pinkie and Sonic both looked forward to see where they were going, and what they saw caused them both to yell in fear; they were riding straight towards the rest of the girls too fast and they all shouted in a fright, "AAAAAAAAHHHH!"

Sonic and Pinkie on the book cart collided with the girls, all ending with a CRASH and a cloud of dust followed by coughing from everyone. The dust quickly cleared out, and everyone was in a pile of each other, groaning in pain from the crash.

"We got him…" Pinkie moaned disoriented.

Not for long as Sonic suddenly jumped right out from underneath the books. As soon as he was on his feet, he realized that the hallway was absolutely crowded with students. Not enough room to use his speed with accidentally hurting someone. With no other options, he started running through while carefully pushing everyone aside, "Excuse me! Make way! Watch out! Comin' through! Outta the way! Sorry!"

Pinkie gave a puzzled chuckle, "We don't got him…"

Applejack grabbed her hat and put it back on as the girls all got onto their feet, "Get back here, Sonic!"

Wasting no time, the girls started running after Sonic through the crowded halls. Sonic continuously performed parkour in order to avoid colliding with the other students from sliding underneath them to jumping over their heads and swinging along the open locker doors. Throughout the chase, the students recorded the stunts he performed while running from the girls.

Sonic: Nowhere to get out and I've got no place to hide! Don't wanna get stuck in this thick crowd!

Students: Let's catch him on film! He's about to move so fast that he'll slip right through us all as if we're just a cloud!

Sonic grabbed hold of an open locker door to swing around a corner and slid across the floor before getting on his feet. Glancing ahead, he saw the hallway was completely clear of students. Seizing the opportunity, he finally tapped into his superspeed and started dashing for the door. The girls came around the corner to see him getting ahead, but they still kept following him.

Sonic: This is my chance to get out, they'll never catch me in time! Just hope there's nothing else left to debate!

Applejack: Agh! He's gonna get out!

Rarity: We'll never catch him in time!

Fluttershy glanced forward to see a random dropped banana peel left on the floor and Sonic headed straight for it without seeing it. She gasped as she called out in an attempt to warn him, "Watch out on the floor!"

Sonic yelped as he noticed the banana peel, but he didn't react fast enough to stop and his foot landed right on it and he slid uncontrollably towards the door, "Whah, crap!"

Pinkie: Ohhh!

Twilight: Too late…

Sonic slid right into the door and slammed them open as he went falling down and rolling sideways across the ground into the soccer field. After several spins, he ended up laying on his back feeling dizzy from the crash before he quickly went unconscious. What was about to happen next, couldn't be good…
