A/N: Looks like we've made it all the way to Chapter 4. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, that is what I like to see. Four is actually my favorite number. Please don't ask me why that is. I refuse to go through anymore jail time after such a small misunderstanding.

Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good when it comes to this one. But allow me to apologize in advance if this comes out a little short in length. Might try updating it in the future to make it the length of a proper Chapter.

Chapter 4: A Few Potential Friends.

It is understandable for you all to wonder what caused Courier Six to suddenly accept checking out Beacon Academy, for no other reason than it was a command straight from the Pip-Boy. But Six viewed it with a very simple mindset. There was never a time when the Pip-Boy steered anyone in the Companions on the wrong path.

It was utilized for a number of things. For one, it guided them all through the violent landscape known as the Mojave. The Pip-Boy would keep track of every single important event that occurred when Six was around, even if she didn't command the Pip-Boy to memorize it. It even managed to keep the seemingly endless amount of equipment Six collected protected no matter what vicious and unexpected attacks came at it.

She would gladly listen to any objective it gave no matter the amount of crazy that surrounded the instruction. Especially any objectives that involved the excessive amount of killings of anyone associated with Caesar's Legion. Or at least what little remained of the Legion after round two on Hoover Dam.

Ozpin took quick noticed of the Pip-Boy strapped to the Courier's wrist. Six might've overreacted when Ozpin eventually asked to take a quick look at the Pip-Boy. Instead of actually getting to see it up close, the Professor only received a quick rundown of all its abilities and marvelous features.

In the end, Ozpin somehow managed to view the Pip-Boy as inferior to his own land's technology, and also as technologically superior in more than a few ways. Some of the things Six mentioned, Ozpin didn't take seriously. Such as the ability to stop time, carry as much as she wanted, and instant teleportation.

After the explanation of what made the Pip-Boy so awesome and unique, the Courier told Ozpin that she was now more willing to share information concerning who she is. But more specifically, where she came from. Ozpin agreed with the idea. Most people who come from new and unexplored regions are never as unique as the Courier.

''I actually wanted to ask you this earlier. This place you originate from, your people call it the Mojave.'' Ozpin stated the knowledge that Six was already well aware of. ''Tell me, what is it really like in the Mojave? Because from what little I've heard from you, it would suggest it is the worst place anyone could possibly imagine. Part of me hopes that you were merely exaggerating when you made such a bold claim?''

Six chuckled at the thought that there were places worse than the Mojave. Places like DC and Boston were now thriving thanks to the Lone Wanderer and the Sole Survivor. They would never have to worry about Legionnaires looking for some quick revenge. All of their enemies were now dead. The Courier's were still out there. Just waiting for the perfect moment to get the drop on her. And she would be waiting for them too.

''Well, there were times before I arrived when it was definitely in worse shape. Before I turned up there was no one to get rid of all the murderers, rapists, and those who just love to crucify their slaves. Now let me be the first to tell you something. I've seen places that get as close to Hell as possible. Back in the Mojave, there are things that can quite literally breathe pure fire, slash you into pieces with just one strike, and a bunch of giant Tarantula Hawk Wasps that just don't know when to quit stinging at you. But yeah, I guess it could always get much worse.''

After taking a few minutes to process what he had just heard, Ozpin expressed his thoughts to Six and added another question. ''I can only imagine what you and your people must go through everyday living in such a cruel and unforgiving place. I assume that there is at least some type of Military or Government that does their best to attend to the majority of these problems?''

''In a way there is.'' Six said in a not so enthusiastic voice. ''There's always the NCR, which is a little bit of a mixture of both a Military and a Government in one. The Brotherhood of Steel can be helpful to a few lucky travelers every once in awhile. Though, they prefer not to communicate with most outsiders they come across. They can be dicks about it sometimes. The Followers of the Apocalypse are good at providing medical aid along with protection to anyone who comes to them for it. But aside from all of them, everyone else has no choice but to look out for themselves.''

''The NCR, I'm going to assume that you are in some way involved with this Military and/or Government? From the way you continue to speak about them it is clear that you have a very high and very positive image of them. Are you by any chance one of their Soldiers or maybe even one of their representatives?''

The Courier released a loud and long yawn. Not out of any quantity of apathy. It was the result of Six's excessive lack of sleep. That and she was sick and tired of the lack of excitement. ''That's certainly not the way I would've put it. I'm a great friend that they can almost always count on if they need someone to lend them a hand. And when I say lend a hand, I actually mean that I kill the people they ask me to.''

Ozpin's percentage of trust only continued to lower with the explanation ''It can get a little annoying at times. I've gone through more things for them than they can even keep track of. The only reason I wanted to help them in the first place was because I wasn't about to let the Legion take control over the Mojave. Don't get me wrong, the NCR is far from being perfect and they have a long way to go before they become stable. But at least they didn't have any plans to enslave the larger majority of the population and outlaw everything that's still good in the world.''

The next thing Ozpin noticed was all of the negative energy that the Courier was directing at the Legion. He questioned her on her almost prejudice tone. It was almost identical to Weiss's view of the White Fang. ''This Legion that you keep on talking about. You seem to show quite a lot of hatred towards them and even those associated with them. If you don't mind if I ask, could you please explain as to why?''

''Oh I'd be more than happy to. From the moment I stepped foot in the Mojave, they've been nothing but a gigantic pain in the ass. Burning down entire Towns, crucifying NCR Soldiers and even Civilians, sending more Assassins after me than I can count, attempting to murder President Kimball, Killing some of my... look, point is they're massive assholes alright, how about we just leave it at that?''

''That's sounds like a good idea. Something tells me you were about to get very vulgar with your language. Now, I just have one more question before we actually leave. How skilled would you say you are when it comes to teamwork and cooperation?''

That was yet another easy question for Six to answer. ''Teamwork is the foundation of all success. Without any companions to watch over me, I never would've survived out there in the Mojave." She owed people like Boone and Arcade everything. "People looking out for you is never a negative thing. Well, unless we're talking about the the Legion's many Assassins.'' They would always watch over Six, thinking of the greatest way to a kill shot in.

''I guess I can agree with you on that.'' Ozpin said, standing up from his chair. ''Well, I am quite proud to say that I can assure you that you will not find any men such as those in a place like this. Now then, come along with me. Your transportation is awaiting your arrival.''

Head titled and an eyebrow raised, Courier Six asked Ozpin what kind of vehicle they would travel to the Academy in. ''What do you mean when you say transportation? Oh, is it one of those cars. Where I come from those are not in great supply.''

''Well of course. You didn't actually think we were expecting you to walk all the way over to the Academy, did you?" Six shrugged. She walked through the entirety of the Divide on several occasions. A trip up to an Academy? That was nothing. "I can assure you we don't condone torture." He added a few quick chuckles." By now you should already know that I am against such an interrogation method. Come on, I already called upon a private airship waiting for the two of us.''

''An... airship?'' Courier Six was placed in pure awe upon learning that the Kingdom of Vale even possessed one of the most rare flight vehicles. Well, rare if you are someone who lives in the New World era. The fact that the Kingdom had more than one to spare was amazing.

If there was enough time she was going to need to figure out a way to return to the Mojave with one. It wasn't like anyone was going to notice if only a single one of them were to go missing. ''You guys are truly something else.'' She complemented, getting Ozpin to smile.

Miles away from Six and Ozpin's own position, a small and young girl's feet were eagerly tapping against the ground. She looked as though she was waiting on something, or maybe someone. Out of everyone in team RWBY, as well as the teams training in Beacon Academy, it seemed like Ruby was the only one who was excited about the new arrival.

From what Ruby overheard in the multiple public reports, this apparent stranger made quite the impression on not only the entire city of Vale and the Academy. But even Ozpin was intrigued. One of the other members of RWBY, who wasn't all that excited about the prospect of getting a new student, finally had enough of the constant tapping.

''Would you please stop it already?'' She shouted, getting Ruby's attention. However, the tapping did not cease. ''I don't understand why you're so excited to introduce yourself to some criminal. You know what, criminal is too nice of a word. What she did was genuine terrorism."

Ruby's eyes rolled as a result of Weiss's comment. She thought Weiss was thinking about it too much. "Did you not learn about anything that occurred while she was in the city for only a moment? There is plenty of evidence to suggest she would've gladly killed all of those Officers unless Miss Goodwitch was not quick enough to intervene when she did.''

''Oh, don't act like that, Weiss.'' Ruby said, the excessive tapping finally coming to a stop. ''Are you really going to stand there and tell me you're not even a little excited to meet them? I mean, I get it, she did start some trouble in the city. Okay, it was actually a lot of trouble. But at least no innocent people came out of it injured."

Yang spoke up about some of the footage she viewed while trying to learn what exactly unfolded. ''From what I saw, she managed to take on more than twelve Beowolves without any support. Now, if she really hasn't gone through any real training in one of the Academies, she must've received private training.''

Weiss made sure to remind Yang of the event that gave all the Officers positioned in Arson an awful work night. ''Maybe I should remind you that while she was fighting those Beowolves, she nearly plunged the entirety of the Emerald Forest into flames."

Unlike the rest of you, I am unwilling to put any amount of trust, whether it's small or large, in someone who is that overtly irresponsible and reckless to a point I can not even identify." Weiss surprised the others when she added a few chuckles when she was finished. "Well... maybe with the exception of you, Ruby.''

''Hey, that was totally uncool, Weiss. Name one time when I was reckless.'' Ruby challenged while also pretending to recover from the exaggerated pain of Weiss's insult. That was until Ruby realized that Weiss had more than enough evidence to prove the insult represented fact.

''You know what... pretend I didn't say anything." No way. Weiss was already planning on making a full list. "Blake, what about you? How should we get ready? Don't you think we should at least give whoever this is a chance? It won't kill us to make a new friend, will it?''

Her eyes looked over to Blake as she waited patiently for the Faunus classmate to respond. ''At this point I think we should just wait until we actually meet face to face.'' She told them all, wanting to remain neutral and not start any unwanted conflicts. ''After that we can all share our views."

She paused for a second, taking a moment to ponder over the warning Weiss presented them with. "Still, Weiss makes a good case as well. For our own safety, we're absolutely going to need to stay on our guard as soon as she reaches the Academy. There's a chance she may try something.''
