A/N: Who exactly is this... Logan? And what is with his absolutely useless Loophole?
Please don't tell me I'm the only one who thinks that Logan's Loophole is the worst possible trait a new Courier can pick? Do some people really think removing any and all chem addictions is superior than making it past Level 30? Just imagine everything you would need to miss out on.
Despite this, I am going to start up a Logan's Loophole playthrough as soon as I get the chance. Should it prove unique enough as an experience, I will make sure give you all regular updates concerning it. And please, remember... Drugs don't use winners... Or something else along those lines.
Chapter 10: A Needed Resolution
The Thorn. It is a place where anyone can test their Strength, Agility, and overall Endurance. Not many of those who venture into the Thorn, at least those actually showing up to participate in the fighting, ever return to the outside. Unless they're leaving chopped up into small pieces that is.
But like with most places she's invested a significant amount of time and resources into, Courier Six was one of few exceptions when it came to life expectancy. Not long after Six arrived, she suddenly felt the need to make a good impression on everyone who viewed the fighting from the Thorn's stage.
Anyone who was foolish enough to challenge Six was crushed, vaporized, incinerated, or stabbed only a few seconds after the fighting commenced. One unlucky soul actually had his skull caved in while Six used no weapons whatsoever. It was a scene that showed only the truest gore.
She loved nothing more than to listen as people cheered "Courier" as loudly as they could. It made Six feel loved, respected, and appreciated. Deciding to make the last fight a truly spectacular one, Six asked if she could take on two Deathclaws at the same time.
This time she would use the Fist of the North Rawr. It was used thanks to the massive irony it generated. Plus it was just a really useful weapon in general. As for the armour she equipped, this time she stuck with the standard, yet still more than effective, Ranger Duster.
Fighting, as momentarily fun as it was, ended as quickly as it started. It was all too similar to the Courier's more recent Deathclaw encounters. As long as you can manage to stay quick on your feet, they're not going to cause you too much trouble. Not that Deathclaws were causing anyone anymore trouble, seeing as most were vanquished long ago.
After the last Deathclaw was sliced into two separate pieces, Six received even more applause. ''Thank you all for your support.'' She said to the loving audience. Seeing as nothing else was going on today, she saw nothing wrong with staying for a few extra rounds.
Most in the Companions, excluding Chalk, Lily, and Boone, didn't find the Thorn all that appealing. When Joshua visited the Mojave for the first time, the old Legate was somewhat ashamed to learn that Six would partake in the Thorn's activities.
Each member possessed reasons such as, ''People shouldn't find so much pleasure in this.'' ''They actually pay you for this?'' and there were also a few other arguments. None were enough to stop the Courier from coming to fight in the arena whenever she got the chance.
Even though it was such a fun experience, Six needed to get away from the arena. Once in a more private and peaceful atmosphere, Six pulled out and used a single Stimpack. If she would've taken the time to check the Pip-Boy's stats, she would've realized it wasn't even a necessary precaution, thanks to the fact that not a single opponent the Thorn sent out today was able to successfully strike Courier Six.
With no more fighting to keep a grip on Six's focus, she was quickly reminded as to why she came to the Thorn in the first place. When she had first entered the Thorn, Red Lucy was nowhere in sight. Six guessed that she was preoccupied with other matters, most likely some Westside troubles. With Caesar's Legion, which wasn't a fitting title given that Caesar was no more, in such a precarious state, the NCR could now focus its attention elsewhere.
The NCR was now occupying, or at least trying to occupy, more territory in the Mojave. With support from the Kings, they were able to keep Freeside as peaceful as it was possible to. They made sure to watch over Primm, even though Primm Slim now acted as its Sheriff. Novac was originally a town they planned on occupying. But after several Bright Followers who were returning from the Pilgrimage assisted its residents in properly restoring the area, they allowed Novac and its people to maintain independence. And now they even wanted people inside Westside. Since Lucy was the greatest power in the local area, especially now that the Scorpions were all gone, it only made sense that she would need to oversee any and all negotiations with the NCR.
It was Six who was largely responsible for Westside's situation. She was the one to allow the NCR to remain in the Mojave, even though she could've easily thrown them from the Mojave with the Securitron army she stole from Mr. House with Yes Man's assistance.
Forced occupation is an idea Six could never agree with. But at least it's an improvement over slavery. So as thanks for playing a role in stopping the Legion, Six promised not to cause the NCR too much trouble while they occupied Vegas and the Mojave.
''I can wait maybe another five minutes." Six proclaimed, starting to get a little impatient. "But then I'll need to...'' Her eyes started to wander to a nearby corner, and as she spotted a recognizable mask, she turned to face the person wearing it. Eavesdropping again? Some people can never learn. "It's... Malcolm, yes?" She would've used the Pip-Boy to check his name. But that would've required pulling out a weapon and locking on to the man. Something that most people don't appreciate. "Last time I check, you and I already spoke about why eavesdropping isn't a good activity.''
For too long the man gave no response, not even choosing to acknowledge Six's existence. He was certainly a creepy one. His mask, the only thing Six could completely recall, continued to give Six odd vibes. Eventually, the man spoke up to Six in the same creepy voice used when they met outside the Lucky 38. ''Yes, we did." He acknowledged, his words containing no emotion whatsoever. "However, I'm afraid you changed nothing." He sounded almost proud. "You see, I find that listening is a vastly more advantageous way for an individual to gather information on any potential enemies."
At one point, Vulpes must've thought the same. Six was able to prove the Frumentarii wrong just like everyone else in the Legion. "It's certainly more tactical than simply running up to someone and starting a conversation without knowing any about them. Reviewing my observations concerning you, it is obvious you prefer the opposite method.''
Six, a little confused with Malcolm's explanation, asked Malcolm why she was apparently his enemy. ''Are you telling me that you and I, people who've almost never interacted, are enemies? Because I'm certain I've never wronged you." Six paused for a second, pondering over the idea she wasn't entirely correct. And then the correction came. "Okay, maybe there's a good chance I accidentally killed the wrong people in the past. Your people?''
Malcolm thought it was a pointless question. He, along with everyone else in the Mojave, wasn't stupid enough to go up against the Companions. Nowadays, there wasn't a single person who was. ''No, I can assure you it is nothing along those lines. I am only stating the truth, and that is all. Listening will always allow you to gather more precious intel. Not that it is likely someone such as yourself would ever need to gather any intel, given that all your enemies are no more, either killed long ago, or imprisoned somewhere in the NCR's Correctional Facility.''
It was a sad and unfortunate truth for Six. Even though it was strange to admit, she missed the enemies that one plagued the Mojave. The Fiends, all the individual Raider and Bandit gangs that roamed the Mojave, the Powder Gangers, and in the rare times, she even missed the Legion when it could actually pose a threat.
Some loyalists who kept on fighting even after losing the Fort and Caesar were saved from the Companion's terror when either they retreated alongside Legate Lanius or were eventually captured when the NCR took Hoover Dam and locked all stragglers inside the no longer Powder Gang infested Correctional Facility.
The Courier didn't actually make any plans on clearing out the Correctional Facility in the first place, for a few reasons. But it was Cass whose anger issues complicated things, forcing Six to kill almost everyone aside from a few Powder Gangers who quickly surrendered. Of course, the Powder Gangers all faced summary execution anyway as soon as the NCR established control over the area.
While intoxicated on whiskey, Six, while conversing with Boone and Cass about the future, came up with a plan that no one else in the Companions would agree to. The Courier announced that she wanted to leave the Mojave and travel all the way to the Capital Wasteland.
Why was this a problem with the other Companions, you wonder? Because the Brotherhood, now in total control over DC, was now aware that Six had ties to the Enclave. In fact, there were even orders to capture or eliminate Six on upon sighting the apparent Enclave loyalist.
And with Six marked as an enemy, the other Companions, Veronica included, were all placed on the list as well. However, the Mojave's BOS was still willing to treat Veronica like an actual person. Six should've guessed that the Brotherhood the Lone Wanderer had allied with, which was apparently a rogue faction, was eventually replaced with the Brotherhood you would find in Boston. Concerning Boston, they weren't allowed there either, so that was nice.
Another potential thing to worry about was the NCR, who, as already mentioned, were looking to expand. Keeping the NCR from stretching itself even thinner was not an easy task. Despite that, someone would still need to keep them in line. Kimball and Oliver certainly couldn't manage such a task.
So for now, the Courier was willing to place the plan aside. But in the event she does receive a pardon via the Brotherhood's Elder, or whatever strange title the person who was in charge used, she continues to keep the idea in mind. Areas such as Point Lookout and the Pitt, now those were places Six wanted to see more than anything.
The Courier chose to keep the conversation moving along, even thought she partly felt like leaving. ''Alright look, no one, and I mean no one, loves talking about tactics more than us Companions. But you were the one who gave me this letter." Holding out the letter, Six practically shoved it into Malcolm's face.
"And this letter says my presence is immediately requested at the Thorn." In an ironic fashion, Six pretended to look around and act surprised. "Oh my, would you look at that, this is the Thorn." Malcolm frowned. "So where is Lucy? Because guess what... I'm not a patient and always relaxed girl you can find in a place like Idaho.''
Malcolm's eyes widened. He wondered what apparently made women from Idaho so docile. Removing his mask and placing it on a nearby chair, Malcolm explained Lucy's absence. ''I see, I guess no one thought to tell you then?" This time it was Six's eyes that widened. "Lucy, isn't in a... stable condition at the moment. She is currently under a voluntary quarantine. We don't know when she will..." Malcolm paused for a second, considering what course to take next. "Maybe you should go and take a look at Lucy? That might give the woman something to smile about, at the very least.''
Unlocking and opening the entrance to Lucy's room, Malcolm then moved out of the way so Six could go inside. After walking through a short corridor, Six walked into the room itself. Looking over at the mattress, she immediately spotted the woman she came all this way to visit.
Lucy was outfitted in Sexy Sleepwear. And if Six's memory was correct, she was the one to gift it to Lucy. It certainly made Lucy look as attractive, and exposed, as ever. But just one quick glance was enough to tell Six that something was wrong with Lucy. The most obvious feature was that the Thorn's leader's skin was too grey.
Six rushed over to Lucy's side. It caused Lucy to awaken in a slow and weak manner. Six, with a smirk, greeted Lucy with a chosen nickname. ''Hey there, Maroon. Long time no see, huh? It's been what, a little over a month since we last saw each other? And you've already managed to catch some illness while I was away?" She started to chuckle. "Well, I think this just goes to show the Thorn still really needs me to keep it together. And I guess you're the same way.''
Red Lucy attempted to conjure up a smile. But it ended with a groan filled with pain. She could only manage to speak with pauses. ''My Hunter... I've awaited your return for the longest time now." The growing sensual tension was now visible. "Please... don't call me Maroon. You know I dislike that name.'' She was certain that's why Six continues to use it. ''You've certainly given your contributions to the Thorn, and you will most likely give us more in the future. Please, lie with me.''
Six turned around to see if Malcolm was watching them. He was gone, most likely aware that there was a strong possibility things would get intimate. With Malcolm gone, Six saw no reason not to oblige Lucy. Head placed on Lucy's shoulder, and with an arm wrapped around Lucy's chest, Six snuggling up to sick woman.
Lucy was warm and soothing, just like the last time the ladies embraced. It was when the NCR and Hoover Dam were rescued from the Legion. Six made the choice to celebrate, at least intimately, with Lucy, rather than with the one she supposedly loved, Veronica. Veronica was obviously furious when she learned Six was once again unfaithful.
Of course, that particular sexual encounter was most certainly not the first time that Six was unfaithful. As the cheating started, Six was able to forge many excuses as to why she had cast loyalty aside. The main one that Six would use was that she was going through quite the stressful times, and required constant comfort to remain sane. This was a lie, and a quite obvious one as well. But still, Veronica thought Six would change.
But she never even tried to. And after Lucy, Veronica was finished with playing games. She ended the relationship they once tried to make work. There was still casual, and sometimes even intimate sex every now and then. But Veronica no longer loved Six, at least not as she used to.
Lucy warned Six not to get too close for comfort. ''Hold it." Lucy paused and coughed. "Were I you, I would try to maintain a good-" She coughed and sneezed a couple more times, facing away from Six prior to releasing the reactions. "...Distance. I've come to realize that whatever I've caught is fatal when others catch it." There was a night where a Doctor from the Followers of the Apocalypse came to provide treatment for Lucy. It didn't work out for anyone involved. "If you were to catch it, I don't think I could...''
Ignoring Lucy's genuine suggestion, Six gently caressed Lucy's face and gave the older woman a gentle kiss on the cheek. She joked about such an idea. ''Don't worry about little ol' me." She started to laugh while Lucy could only grown. "Doctors, no matter who they are, always tell me I've got the toughest immune system they've ever seen."
Thanks to the various implants she installed at several Followers of the Apocalypse facilities, as well as the ones she received as gifts via Mobius and his kindness, Six is essentially one giant walking antibiotic. And one who can also shoot guns and eradicate anyone who she comes into contact with... so that's pretty cool.
"And Malcolm told me you weren't able to talk to anyone. The way I see it, you should accept all the company you're given." Six paused, obtaining an idea she thought was fantastic. "Hey, I think I've got an idea. Why don't I leave to get all my friends... well, except for Veronica." Six didn't want to risk starting one more awful shootout.
"But the rest, they can all stay and talk with you as long as you want." Rather than waiting to see Lucy's answer, Six continued to ignore any input. "Oh, maybe Arcade can even figure out what's wrong with you? He is a genius." Six was once again standing and ready to leave. "I'll go get them now.''
Lucy required no time at all to object to the idea. She grabbed the Courier's arm, getting a quiet gasp as a response. ''No." Lucy's grasp on Six was surprisingly, and even more uncomfortably excessive than necessary. The aggressive interjection also caused Six's eyes to widen.
"No..." Lucy resumed. "I only requested you to come... and no one else.'' Lucy's fingers ran through Six's short hair. ''I remember the first time you came to the Thorn." That's what she said. Back then, the only thing I could view you as was a troubled child trying to change unchangeable things."
Lucy was talking about Six's early fight against Caesar's Legion. Back when she tried to gather an army to support the NCR. "You didn't possess any special weapons, or anything at all, really. Even so, in the end you made up those absences with your soul. And you were able to show everyone in the Mojave true... Greatness." Lucy giggled. "It is certainly good to see nothing about you has come close to changing.''
This time the two of them shared a kiss. This one was even longer and passionate than the previous smooch. For a second, a short silence took over. Wanting to end it, Six informed Lucy that she was wrong. Change was something Six went through many times over. ''I've had too much time to change while out there. Not for the worst, mind you, just changed a tad, that's all. You've clearly changed as well. But in this case, it clearly wasn't for the greater good.''
The Courier received some quiet laughter from the joke. ''Good to see your so called flirting hasn't improved in the slightest. I am so glad you came to visit, my Hunter, truly I am. But... maybe you should take your leave now? I still require my rest.'' Lucy reached for the light switch, ready to catch some needed shuteye. But just like when Six was about to leave, Lucy's action was stopped.
Six frowned and talked in a childish manner. ''But you can't go to sleep now! I literally just got 'ere, didn't I? I was thinking that maybe you could come out there to watch me fight in the arena, at least a couple rounds anyway?" Six, after tapping on the Pip-Boy a few times, pulled out a golden Sniper Rifle, which surprised Lucy. "I just got this new Sniper I found locked up tight at Cottonwood Cove, and I really need to see what it's capable of. What'd you say, wanna watch me crack some skulls?''
Despite the entertainment that it would, Lucy rejected the suggestion. ''That sounds nice. But still, I'm afraid I still can't join you. As much as I love to watch you eradicate your enemies until there is little to nothing left, this sickness does not allow me to leave my room for long. Really, you should go now."
Six was starting to feel annoyed, among other things. She was going to turn this into a night they would never forget. With Lucy's fingers still intertwined with her own, Six took a finger and slowly, and even more passionately, started to suck on it and lick its sides. There was a seductive look on Six's face, while Lucy wore a surprised one.
''Well, it looks like I'm just as contaminated as you are.'' The Courier snickered, now wearing a wicked expression. Her lips now moist and ready for use, she reached to unwrap the knot maintaining Lucy's clothing. However, in a complete twist, Lucy once again grabbed Six.
But Lucy didn't say a word, or even make a sound. Instead, there was a new look in Lucy's eyes. The curious look immediately told Six that the woman she was trying to get frisky with was clearly trying to contemplate something.
In the end, Lucy's grasp on Six was released. ''Well.. proceed.'' Lucy sounded almost annoyed. The clearance caused the Courier to smile. ''Please try not to take as long as you did on your last visit. As I told you already, sleep is something I need so I can... well, you know, live."
There were no more words to exchange. In just a few quick seconds, Lucy was completely undressed. Much like Six's own person, Lucy's carried many scars, each covering a new area and each with a separate story to tell. For most people, that would guide you away. But come on people, this was the New World! Getting picky isn't allowed so long as you want to get a good plowing. Besides, scars are great at showing the kinda person you're messing with.
But they didn't feel like admiring each other's scars, at least not in the moment. They instead got straight to work. The Courier, who acted and looked as though she was filled with an endless lust, grabbed Lucy's cheek, rubbing it gently. Both ladies then proceeded to press their moist and tangy lips together.
Lucy and Six's tongues were glad to see each other again and made sure to celebrate the reunion just as they did the last time Six came to the Thorn. By wrapping around and rubbing against each other in the most lewd fashion imaginable. "Hot... so warm." Six muttered while groping the naked Lucy.
The whole time while Six and Lucy passionately swapped spit, Six was also playing with Lucy's gorgeous, gigantic, and warm tits. She then started to pull at, twist, and nibble on Lucy's nipples, which caused Lucy to squirm with each new action. Then, without speaking to Lucy, Six gave the tits two good slaps. This time around, Lucy recoiled in what looked like genuine pain. "Damn..." She looked as though she was ready to punch Six. "You narcissist."
Six chuckled at Lucy's insult. "Not true." She proclaimed, gently equipping a nice grasp on Lucy's arm. "You see..." Six gave Lucy one last kiss one the lips. "I always make sure every single friend of mine is smiling whenever I'm around." Six smirked, looking almost evil thanks to the red lighting. "Right now, what would make you smile... Maroon?"
Red Lucy, answering the question through actions rather than words, proceeded to flip Six, who was still wearing clothes, over so quickly that Six wasn't able to give a response or reaction in time. Now it was Lucy who was on top, which didn't usually occur. And Lucy was going to take full advantage of the superior position.
Making a few adjustments so she was situated near Six's lower parts, Lucy started to remove the Duster. With the current energy she possessed, Lucy was only able to remove the lower portions. That wasn't a great concern, as it was the section concealing all the parts Lucy wanted to reach.
The next clothing piece she wanted to remove were Six's undergarments. But right as they came into view, Lucy started to laugh and appeared as though she lost all interest in the intimate moment. The undergarments were customized with several Nuka Colas which were all in the possession of a separate Vault Boy. The same Vault Boy you could find on all that Vault-Tec Corporation propaganda.
As the laughing continued, Six wanted to yell at Lucy. But then she joined in on the laughing. ''During Christmas Veronica gave them to me as a gift.'' She explained, making sure to talk in a loud voice so Lucy could make out what she was saying over the excessive laughing. ''What, was I not suppose to try them on at all?''
Lucy required a few more seconds to completely finish laughing and relax. When she finally did, Lucy wasted no time getting straight to work. This time the undergarments were actually removed from Six with no problems. With nothing more to separate them, Lucy, giving a wink, allowed her tongue to venture as far inside of Six as it could reach.
In quick response, Six began to breathe heavily. Moaning was something she was afraid of doing. There were a lot more people at the Thorn than usual. What if one of them overheard them and decided to investigate? That wasn't something she wanted to risk.
As a precaution she made sure to cover her mouth with one hand. In a way Lucy was already one step ahead of her in that regard. Eventually she went from licking to sucking and nibbling. Then without giving her any warning she stuck two of her fingers inside of Six's cunt.
Before she could let out a moan that would be loud enough to where the people of Point Lookout could hear it, the Courier's reflexes kicked in, causing her to put her other hand onto her mouth for some additional support. Lucy, who apparently felt like testing their luck, let the rest of her fingers accompany the other two on the inside. With this Six was unable to maintain her composure. And at this point she didn't really care.
Observing her moans of pleasure, Lucy could tell she was about to reach her climax. Because she felt like going to bed anyway, she decided to speed things up. Despite still being in a tired state, she continued to shove her fingers in and out of her cunt as quickly as she was able to.
''Fuck... FUCK!'' Courier Six yelled while her juices started to squirt out of her. Now that her job had come to an end, Lucy once again laid down on her bed. It all proved to be more than enough to take away what precious little energy she had left. Now all she wanted to do was to go to bed.
Standing up took a lot of willpower but Six managed to do it all the same. Her legs were covered in sweat and the aftermath of her ejaculation. She took a bottle of water out of her Pip-Boy and downed it in a few seconds. Another one was given to Lucy who did the same thing.
While she continued to look through her Pip-Boy, mot likely for some more water, Lucy reminded her about how much she craved sleep. ''I guess you were right. You have changed quite a bit.'' She needed to pause for a second in order to take in some more air. ''At one point you would have lasted for more than just a few short minutes. Looks like times have changed after all.'' She laughed, thinking the comment had some humor in it. ''Now, I must get some level of rest.''
She closed her eyes and hoped to catch some shuteye. But when she started to overhear Six chuckling, she quickly opened her eyes to see what was so funny. Immediately she took notice of the object in her hand. No doubt it wasn't any kind water bottle.
The Courier crossed her arms with the object still in her hand. ''Don't think we're done here yet.'' With the way she spoke it sounded like a genuine warning you would hear if you were in the middle of being tortured. ''I may have finished already, but you still haven't let out a drop. If you don't cum too then it won't be fair. Now, if I were you I'd strap myself in. Because I'm about to strap something on.''
Lucy's eyes widened as she released an obvious gulped. Where Six had managed to acquire such a thing was a question she was just about to ask. "Where... why you even-" Six found it cute that the older woman was unable to properly get the question out. As Six already made clear, she could stay for a few extra rounds. Hopefully Lucy could manage the same.
Dining Hall:
The Courier, more powerful than any other force presiding in the Mojave, would always manage to come out on top in every single fight she got into whilst traveling the Mojave and its surrounding territories. In fact, there were so many fights, that she eventually lost track of the endless victories.
They varied from standard one on one fights, standoffs, Machete fights that would take place across separate arenas. And there was never a lacking when it came to close quarters combat. But at no point in Six's life, including the current Courier Six, would she ever assume she would get caught up in a... food fight. She wasn't entirely sure what it, or its purpose even was.
What she quickly learned is that it is wise to take cover as soon as one is announced. Because unfortunately, Six was forced to learn the arduous way that taking a watermelon to the skull causes considerable pain even if you're someone who is Brainless. In order to avoid any further pain, Six quickly maneuvered around anymore incoming fire and hid under a table, wanting to observe the fight rather than charge out into the chaos like some idiot.
For Courier Six it was beyond fascinating to watch the other Students waste all of that precious food that wasn't 200 years old, or poisoned with radiation. Then again, she figured these people's world didn't suffer through a nuclear holocaust.
Speaking of the students, it was practically a free for all between them. They were throwing bread, watermelons, celery sticks, and even soda cans, which seemed to act as bombs. One of which found its way under the same table Six was hiding under. She quickly threw herself from the blast.
After landing several feet from the now broken in half table, the Courier saw both team RWBY and JNPR. Or more specifically, she saw the members of the teams fighting with each other. It was a pretty interesting scene to say the least.
But it was becoming more and more dangerous, more and more soda bombs finding their way to The Courier. One can going off sent her crashing into the way, taking away a portion of her health. Clearly this was sport for the other students. But for Six, she was going to have to end things quickly if she was to survive.
After taking a Super Stimpack and two doses of Med-x, The Courier ran through what was essentially a battlefield. It would have been a great moment for Six to have her Golden Boxing Gloves, or anything else that's nonlethal. She'd normally use A Light Shining in Darkness in this kind of situation, but people might get upset if someone winds up with a bullet in their head.
As she continued to run, Six was stopped when Yang landed right in front of her. Any closer and the two would have collided. For some odd reason Yang had turkeys on both of her hands, which she was using to battle with Ren and Nora of team JNPR.
Yang looked over to the Courier and said, ''Oh, hey there Six.'' She then whacked Ren across the face and resumed speaking, ''You should really pick up a weapon and give us a helping hand. As much as I hate to say it we could really use the assist.''
The Courier ignored the request and instead pocketed a few soda cans that were scattered across the floor. Upon taking them they all went straight to the weapons section on the Pip-Boy. Upon activating VATS, time pretty much froze. Taking the opportunity to scan the room, Six began to formulate one of her famous plans.
There were twenty something people in total. Some of which seemed to be taking the fight to literal, switching from using food, to their hands. There were a few people who stuck out, Six knowing their names thanks to her Pip-Boy.
A young man named Cardin seemed to be in a one on one fight with a girl named Coco, who had a black beret on, which reminded The Courier of Boone. The way they were fighting each other led Six to believe they were both team leaders. Beside them four others fought. Their names being Fox, Russel, Sky, Dove, and Yatsuhashi, the last name being one The Courier would never try to pronounce.
Six's original idea was to throw a can at Fox, since the blast wave could hit more people at his position. But she withdrew the plan, seeing a girl hiding under a table. She settled on Dove's position, which was the next best choice anyway. Bombs away!
Impacting with the ground, the soda cans began to explode, creating a slightly pretty cloud of pink, blue, and yellow. Three of the targets were knocked to the ground, Fox, Dove, and Sky. Courier Six hoped they weren't too injured from the blast.
But she had no time to worry about their conditions. The sudden decrease in conscious teammates caught the attention of both Cardin and Coco. They repeatably looked to their fallen friends, Six, then finally they looked at one another.
Clearly the two had a deep hatred for each other. But after nodding to one another, they set aside their differences and sought their vengeance. Coco wen't for The Courier's arms, while Cardin wen't for her legs. Cardin missed a few of his attacks. But Coco was spot on, not missing a single strike against Six.
One such hit knocked Six onto a table, breaking it beneath her. After groaning from the pain, she quickly stood up and switched to offensive mode. For some reason The Courier always had fully repaired Boxing tape on her. It was hard to remember where and when she received it since she was drunk when it happened. She mainly used it for killing Radroaches, bloatflys, and other small and pathetic creatures. You wouldn't use a Laser Rifle to kill a Bark Scorpion, now would you?
Now it would actually come into play. After avoiding Cardin's next punch, Six, without using any significant energy, gave Cardin a nasty uppercut. Right as the Boxing tape collided with Cardin's jaw it made a loud crunching sound. That was a good sign the strike was indeed effective.
After Cardin collapsed on to the ground, Coco was the next target on the Courier's newest list. But just as she readied up to land a serious strike on Coco, Six realized that everyone else was now silent, speaking no words whatsoever. Looking to the room's side entrance, Six found out the reason as to why everyone ceased the fighting. Miss Goodwitch, who Six was already very familiar with, was now observing all the students... and she looked pissed.
Just then, Six got another look at a Huntress's true power. Using what looked like telekinesis, Goodwitch arranged every table, chair, and even a few students, just as they were when the students had first arrived. The display actually managed to send chills through the Courier, who, at a time, was not one to take magic seriously.
She spoke to every present student in a naturally loud and stern voice. ''Children! Do not play with your food.'' Goodwitch looked over to Six and was ready to single the new student out. ''Your first time with the Academy, and already something as troubling as this?! Perhaps it was a mistake to allow you to-''
Goodwitch stopped talking as soon as Ozpin entered the room, which seemed like it was the only way to quiet Goodwitch. He looked at Glynda and spoke in his gentle voice, which provided everyone with a certain comfort. ''Why don't you let it go? It is only Miss Courier's first evening. And I am more than positive she was not the one who started this whole mess. Is my assumption correct, Miss Courier?''
Six spoke in a quick fashion. (Speech 25) "Um... yeah... yes, that is indeed correct. It's not like I meant to start any trouble." She pointed at Cardin. "In fact, this guy jumped me while I was trying to escape this mess." Six fought to make sure she didn't accidentally smile. Something she would always need to avoid when telling a lie. "He probably just wanted to show this Academy's newest student who's in charge." Instead, she was the one to show Cardin, along with anyone else who watched the action unfold. "After that, I guess I got caught in the crossfire is all. Good thing you two were quick enough to show up when you did. Things were ready to go from awful to worse.'' Technically Six was right. Of course, she was the one who was going to make things worse were the fighting to continue.
Ozpin smiled while nodding. ''Well, it is certainly nice that we've come to an understanding.'' Ozpin clearly wanted to give Six a proper chance. He then turned to face team RWBY and JNPR. ''Ruby, Jaune..." He selected the team leaders. "As a team's chose leader, you are expected to avoid starting scuffles like these. Especially in the Dining Hall where someone else could easily get injured." He then looked to Cardin and the other students Six had knocked out cold. "And some clearly were."
Ruby and Jaune nodded. "Sorry, Professor." Jaune apologized. "Yeah, me too." Ruby added. "Not good enough." Ozpin spoke with a little aggression. But certainly not enough to frighten anyone. "I want a written apology within the next two class periods. Understood?" Both gave a quick nod once more. "Good. Now, don't let me stop you all from actually attending your classes. Go on now.''
Ruby gasped and gathered up team RWBY. ''Hurry everyone, anymore late attendance and we're all finished.'' They ran straight out the door, followed by several other teams. Surprisingly Six was at full health, which was weird because she remembered taking several hits from Coco, whom was still giving Six a death stare.
''Um,'' Six stuttered, making things just a little more awkward. ''I... well, I'm really sorry about your friends. You're not still upset with me, are you?'' Six and Coco looked to the ground, specifically where Cardin was. He was still groaning in pain and, more than likely, wouldn't walk again for some time. Six then remembered she was a notification about crippling Cardin's skull.
Coco then seized the opportunity to correct Six. ''Trust me, this asshole Cardin isn't my friend. Besides... I might've laughed to myself when you threw him on his ass. Was actually kinda eager to see what you would try when up against me." Six was surprised to see someone actually wanted to fight. "But I guess we'll need to find out another time, won't we? Oh, right, my name is-''
''You're Coco.'' Six said with a smirk. The interrupted Coco looked incredibly confused. But she was unable to question where Six had suddenly learned such information. Bells rang, an indication that there was only five minutes until Class would start. Six understood this common rule, as many NCR facilities, especially when the fight against the Legion came to an end, continue to utilize the same practice.
Coco wasted no time, running away so quickly, Six wasn't even able to react in time to see she was gone. Huh, looks like someone really wants perfect attendance. Six chuckled at the private joke. But then she came to realize something.
A new problem emerged. Class was going to start soon. A class that the Courier was required to attend as long as she wished to remain enrolled in the Academy, which was the only way she could complete the main Quest. But most importantly, it was a class with a location Six's mind was completely unaware of. Opening the Pip-Boy and switching over to the local map didn't reveal any possible locations. She was technically in a structure.
But Six's gaze was taken away from the Pip-Boy. She noticed the same girl who chose to hide under a table, was now crawling her way out. Hoping that they had the same schedule, she approached the fellow student. Upon coming face to face with girl, the Courier realized that she was now looking at a Faunus. But unlike Blake, this student was carrying Rabbit ears, rather than a Cat's ears.
VATS, which was able to pick up and memorize people's name through surrounding conversations, informed Six that the girl's name was Velvet Scarlatina. For some reason, she appeared as though she was consumed with stress. Six, approaching Velvet, greeted the younger looking Faunus with a friendly smile. ''Hello there. I'm new to this Academy."
It looked as though Velvet jumped upon seeing the Courier. "Just arrived a few nights ago, actually. Are you also suppose to go on your way to Professor Port's class?" Luckily, Six's schedule was memorized the previous night. "I'm a little lost at the moment, and I could really use a little assistance making my way there.''
Velvet was nervous seeing Six. So much so that the Faunus's cheeks were turning increasingly red as each second passed. The reaction made Six think the girl was going to genuinely explode. Though such an awful and strange occurrence was unlikely, Six guessed she would probably take the criticism in the event Velvet actually exploded. By the time she was finished with the Academy, she would probably act as a scapegoat, getting linked to every minor infraction around the Academy.
The reason Velvet was so cautious when speaking with Six was all thanks to the specific information the other members in team CFVY made sure to share with Velvet. This particular information set concerned Beacon Academy's newest student.
How she came so close to eradicating 50% of the Emerald Forest. How she was all too eager to shoot several law serving Officers... and maybe even the curious civilians. But the same kind nature Velvet could never remove took control and influenced the answer she presented Six with. With a few separate pauses, Velvet explained a way they could still get to class on time.
''I... well, yes, I suppose I need to make my way there now anyway." Velvet, still sounding weary and concerned, which was an understandable way to feel, looked to the spots on the ground where Fox and Alistair were unconscious. "I guess... you can come with me, so long as you've really got no idea where our classes are?"
But she couldn't leave right then and there. She needed to make sure team CFVY's entire force was functional. "But right now... I think I should wait a couple minutes. For my friends to wake up, I mean." Six gave a quick and casual look to Fox, Alistair, along with the other students she managed to incapacitate with no mercy.
"You... wow, you really did a number on them.'' Considering the awful and irreversible states Six could've put them in, which, trust me, the list is practically a novel on its own, they were in a stable enough condition. But right now, Six was more focused on Velvet's adorable accent.
"That... is... the cutest accent in the world... absolutely no contest.'' The Courier said, ignoring Velvet's words and causing the Faunus child to look surprised. ''Heard one just like it when I came across this Great Khan named Melisa. She was really cute, I'll admit. But still, I don't think she or anyone else could ever top these ears.''
