A/N: We've come very far, don't you guys think? All the way to Chapter 20. I worded the beginning of the last one incorrectly as I actually wanted to imply that this was to be a special one. Can't say it will be perfect, same goes for the rest of the other Chapters. But still, I hope some of you can find pleasure in reading this. That didn't sound too weird, did it?

Once again I'm asking you to leave me a Review containing your thoughts, suggestions on how I could improve the Story, ideas on what I should do in the next Chapter, and pretty much anything else you want to let me know. Now grab yourself a beverage and enjoy the Story.

There's a large chance that I'll be stopping at 25 Chapters. It feels like that's as good as a place to stop as any. Hopefully I can think of a proper ending to this Story. Maybe even set the stage for a potential sequal, or maybe even a prequel. Actually I see no reason as to why I can't do both.

Oh, and I have to ask an important question. Do any of you guys believe in the Indoctrination theory for the Mass Effect trilogy? I really don't want to, but at the same time all of the evidence to back it up is too convincing.

I'm asking this because of my other Story, Outer Effect. And no, I didn't just give myself some quick and cheap advertisement. But if you do happen to love Mass Effect and the Outer Worlds, which is essentially Fallout New Vegas but in a more Sci-fi setting, go and check it out whenever you get the chance.

Wait, this is the last piece of information that you can judge as important or not. There are two small references in this Chapter. One is to an Anime that I regret watching, hint it's a very violent one. And the other is to a certain video game trilogy, hint it's in a Sci-fi setting. Find them and I'll mention your name in the first Chapter of Act 2.

Chapter 20: Not Really An Adventure

While the Airship was still descending towards the city, Yang decided to ask a very important question. A question that she had ready since she was witness to the duel between Coco and Six ''So could you tell us how it even works?'' She wasn't asking about how she wasn't dead, but instead about the method of one of her signature attacks.

The Courier, who was still trying to decide what weapon she would be using in the Emerald Forest, as well as still playing around with Velvet's ears, gave Yang her full attention. ''Do you just carry a bunch of sand in your pockets or something like that?''

Yang wasn't the first person to ask about the strange method of acquiring ammunition for the Khan Trick. She received an quick and unexpected answer. ''How should I know?'' Six said after deciding she would be using her Silenced .22 SMG. ''My best guess is it's either some kind of black magic, which may or may not be real, or something else to do with my Pip-Boy. This thing has a knack for doing impossible things so that wouldn't be surprising.''

The Courier digitized her selected weapon into her hands. Unexpectedly it was ripped right out of her hands. The one behind the sudden act of theft was of course Ruby, who was now admiring the weapon like a mother admires her child right after it is born.

She seemed to be praising the weapon like it was some kind of all knowing God. Along with that praise came a whole pile of questions. ''Woah, it's so beautiful. Where did you get it, do you have any more of them you could share with me, how many rounds can it hold at once, what modifications have you used on it?''

''Ruby, one question is more than enough.'' Weiss covered Ruby's mouth similar to how Six did in Port's class. ''Could you please quit obsessing over weapons like that?'' Weiss begged, wishing there was some kind of switch that would turn Ruby's voice off forever.

A little dark but not something you can fully blame her for wishing. ''This happens almost every time you meet someone new.'' She now had her arms crossed, as did Ruby. ''You scare them off because you start obsessing over their weapons. When that's all they are, weapons.''

Six's eyes widened at Weiss's view of the weapon that got her out of a lot of trouble. ''Hold on, what did you just say?'' She asked in a tone that was slightly frightening. Her grip on Velvet's ears was even released. As a result she gained the attention of everyone else in the airship.

''This is just another weapon to you?'' Weiss was genuinely scared of what was about to happen. Terrifying Presence ''Just another weapon! Do you have any idea what this SMG had seen me through? It's saved my life more times than I can count.''

She continued to rant about how it was one of the greatest weapons ever forged. ''That goes for other people's lives too. If not for this SMG, I wouldn't have been able to save prisoners and dispatch the Fiends that had invaded Vault 3 and taken them all hostage. If anything I see this gun as a symbol of victory, resilience, and most of all I see it as hope. Hope for everyone who lives in the Mojave.''

Everyone was stunned into silence for a second. Ruby was kind enough to break the silence by clapping her hands together. And she even seemed to have a tear in her eye. ''That was so beautiful, Six.'' She congratulated, rubbing her eyes against her sleeve. Damn, should Courier Six move into poetry or what? ''Always good to see someone who is as passionate about their weapon as I am.''

Ruby carefully handed the Silenced SMG back to Courier Six, who once again digitized it into the Pip-Boy. ''Alright, my turn to get to ask a question.'' Pyrrha said, her question also being one that she had for a while. ''The Mojave, you've already told us a few things about it. But there's something I'd like to know. Do you travel around on your own, or do you have any friends who go with you?''

Before answering the question she went back to Velvet's ears. Now Coco was regretting allowing it in the first place. ''Of course I have friends.'' Was that even a real question for some as charismatic as her? ''I can name them all right now. There's... actually you know what, I have a better idea.''

Six reached into her Pip-Boy's inventory for the second time and pulled out her favorite photo of her and all of her Companions. Aside from Chalks and Dean because they had yet to make it to Vegas. A good reminder that they would need to take another when given the chance. She positioned herself so that everyone could get a good look at the picture. ''Just take a look for yourselves.''

As soon as everyone looked at the inhabitants of the photo their eyes quickly widened at the new characters. The Companions were certainly an odd and peculiar sight. Especially for those living in Remnant. Blake placed her finger on the picture and asked about a certain individual. ''Who's that lady?''

Each Companion certainly had their own Story to tell. But with them currently unavailable, the Courier would have to tell them all on her own. Good thing she knows them better than they know themselves. ''That right there is Rose of Sharon Cassidy. But she likes to be called Cass.''

That was only half true. ''There was this time when she was like a mentor to me. There were also more than a few times when she let her anger get the better of her. But even with that, she almost always tries to do what's best for the Companions.''

Jaune seemed to really want to know who the giant purple creature is. No one could blame him for the curiosity. ''That's Lily, she's my Grandma.'' Now everyone was just as curious as Jaune, if not more. Six chuckled and smirked before explaining what she really meant.

''Well not my actual Grandma, but I'd say she's close enough. But don't let her gentle attitude distract you. I once saw her rip this guy in half because of the way he was looking at me. As it would turn out, he was just some blind guy. NCR did not appreciate that.''

Nora pointed to the little floating robot. It was the same one that Six hated to talk about. Not because she hated ED-E, she would have gladly died for the little bastard, but because she missed him so much. ''Who's that little guy. He's so cute.'' She should have seen the time ED-E went to a party with the rest of the Companions and decided to wear a tie. The looks they all got just inspired them to dance even more.

''Ah, wonderful little ED-E. He was my very first Companion. Sadly he was destroyed a time ago by the Legion. He died fighting, I think that's how he wanted to go out. Out of everyone in that picture, he was almost certainly the most loyal.''

Seeing the impressive weapon that he was holding in his hands, Ruby pointed to the man who appeared to be a Sniper. ''Boone. He's one of the few people who hates the Legion more than I do.'' That certainly wasn't an easy thing for everyone to believe.

''Whenever he had any free time we would almost always go hunting for Deathclaws, or a few unlucky Legionnaires. I also have to say that he is absolutely one of the most dangerous people I have ever met. One time when I was captured and being tortured at this small Outpost not too far from the Fort, he managed to sneak in and killed everyone all by himself. They didn't even manage to raise the alarms before they were all dead.''

Weiss pointed to the dog who was both cute, and for some reason seemed to be a robot. Not something you get to see everyday. ''Aw, what's that little guy's name? More importantly what did you do to him to make him look like that?''

Much like with ED-E, it's a sad story to remember. ''Rex, yeah he was the best of the best. I wish I could say he met his end just like ED-E, but that would just be lying. The Legion just tied him up and shot him dead like he was nothing more than another rabid dog.''

Out of all the deaths she had seen throughout her life, all of the carnage she was forced to be witness to, Rex's passing had affected the Courier more than any other. Her already fragile soul had been completely crushed by his sudden loss. He deserved better than that for his services.

''But I know that wherever he is, wherever he ended up, he's watching over the rest of us. And I'm sure he's trying to put in a good word for us too. I still visit his grave and leave flowers I found in Vault 22 whenever I get the chance. Least I can do.''

While Weiss was now crying and being comforted in Ruby's arms, Yang pointed to the man who looked like he had just gotten done taking a long walk straight through the fires of Hell. ''Not to be rude, or anything, but are you really friends with a zombie?''

If anyone from the Mojave said that they would already have a black eye. Luckily for Yang, she was from Remnant. ''Raul, the world's greatest mechanic. He's one of those old and wise individuals that you might read about in books. Whenever I'm in dire need of it, Raul is always willing to give me some advice when I'm in the middle of a moral conflict. Which seems to not happen as often as it did.''

''Who's that guy with the large armour and... What kind of weapon is that?'' Coco asked about Arcade, who at the time the photo was taken was wearing his badass looking Enclave Power Armour. In his hands was of course his signature Plasma Caster. It was purchased straight from the Van Graffs.

''Arcade Gannon, one of the smartest people I know.'' Aside from herself of course. If Mobius says she's smart then it must be true, right? ''We had different ideas on who should have control over the Mojave. He said the entire place should be independent, while I wanted the NCR to have firm control over Vegas.''

In the end it was their equal hate for the Legion that made them come to an agreement. ''During the final battle he brought a few old friends with him who had no trouble kicking the Legion's ass. I can say this about him and the rest of my friends, I'd be dead without him by my side.''

There was only one Companion left. She had what looked like a giant metal fist and wore a mesmerizing dress. Since she was the odd one out, Six didn't wait for someone to ask about her. ''Finally we have Veronica. We were actually in the middle of a relationship during the war.''

Of course they did end up having a falling out. No reason not to share that half of the story. ''But shortly after we invaded the Fort and managed to finally kill Caesar, we started to drift further and further apart. Eventually she said she just wanted to be friends. If I had a heart it would have been really hurt by that. Before I got here I had plans once I got back to Vegas. I wanted to make amends and start over with her. Now I'm not so sure I still want that.''

She placed the photo back into her inventory and looked out of the airship's window. Looks like they had reached their destination. ''Thanks for coming along guys, but I can think I can handle it from here. Might be better if I try to tackle the forest on my own.''

Before she could leave, Ruby blocked the exit with her entire body. How she was able to move so fast was a mystery to everyone else. ''What, no way.'' She said in a stern voice, very different from her normal one. It was sweet of her that she didn't wish for her friend to once again be torn into shreds. ''Don't you remember what happened last time you went out there on your own? Maybe you should take a few of us with you?''

''I agree with Ruby.'' Weiss said, greatly confusing everyone with her support over the idea. It seemed like she was actually concerned for the Courier's safety. ''We don't need you to almost burn down the entire forest again, now do we? A few people should supervise you.'' And yeah, there it was.

One of the people to volunteer to accompany her was Coco. ''I did kill you so it only seems right that I should be the one to make sure that doesn't happen again. Don't you think?'' Six nodded, gladly accepting the extra company from the girl who in a way murdered her. To be fair it was mostly the fault of her Pip-Boy.

Next up of course was Ruby. ''I made a promise to Ozpin I'd make you as comfortable as possible. I can't do that if you're dead now can I?'' Ruby was waiting for a few good laughs, but frowned when she didn't receive even a chuckle out of anyone. To make her feel better, Six patted her on the head.

The last person to volunteer to tag along would be the one of the two Faunus in the room, Blake.''You think I could go with you guys too?'' Blake asked, getting another nod out of Courier Six. Four is the maximum number she was willing to take with her. Because of that they needed one more.

Looking to the girl she was still petting, Six volunteered Velvet without even asking for her permission first. ''Good on you, Velvet. Stay close to me and I'm sure you'll be fine.'' Velvet attempted to point out the obvious fact that she didn't even want to come in the first place, but the Courier shushed her by beginning to scratch her head in a way that felt so good that the Faunus couldn't even get a word out.

New Quest Added. The Pip-Boy notified her, bringing her eyes down to her wrist. The Quest was named, Another Unexpected Reunion. Which was definitely an odd title, but much like the other's she wouldn't be questioning it all that much. The objective was simple, go on an Adventure.

Gathering all of her new Companions into a small circle, Six tried to hype them up with another one of her famous speeches. ''Get ready men.'' She said, despite everyone in the circle being female. The fact caused Velvet and Ruby to laugh out loud. ''That's the right spirit you two. Whenever you're charging into unknown territory or a place you know is full of enemies ready to eat your insides, the most important thing to do is to go in with a positive look.''

Blake and Coco shared a confused look with each other. They couldn't tell if she was being serious or not. Then again it was the Courier. ''You realize we've all been in the forest before, right?'' Blake asked the Courier, whose eyes widened upon hearing the question.

''But you're right in saying that there are a a lot of Grimm out there we'll have to fight.'' Coco added before putting on a cocky grin. ''More than you could probably handle out there on your own. So it's a good thing we're coming with you this time around.''

''Yeah I get it, you're all so much stronger than I am.'' Her arms were now crossed and there was a large frown across her face. ''Each of you could probably take down one of those things with your hands only, right? Meanwhile I need a fucking Orbital-Laser to get the job done. But now isn't the time to prove who's stronger than who. Now is the time for Adventure, in its purest form to be exact.''

Velvet questioned what the Courier meant by this. ''When you say Adventure, what do you mean exactly? The only thing we'll find out there is a bunch of old ruins and even more Grimm ready to go in for the kill. I don't see that as much of an Adventure.''

Six began to laugh softly. ''Oh Velvet, you're so innocent.'' That's why you'll be mine one day... No! Shut up evil conscious. ''Getting attacked by monsters and beats of pure legend is 50% of the fun for all of my Adventures back home. Trust me when I say there's nothing more fun than being beaten, burned, stabbed, or shot to the point of nearly dying. Why do you think I had so much fun fighting Coco?'' Maybe the three of us could... I said stop it!

That opinion concerned Blake and Coco. And in Velvet and Ruby's case, it was enough to frighten them. They know she has some serious scars, but did she like getting them? ''I don't know how you do it, but you continue to get even stranger.'' Blake said, not realizing that what she said was a complement in the eyes of Courier Six. ''We should get walking then. Getting to the forest from here will probably take us a few hours.''

After shaking her head, Six began to realize something. When she came to a full understating, she for some reason felt the need to put on an evil grin. She held out both of her arms and advised everyone to take hold of one of them. ''Grab on, I got a quicker way of getting there that is far better than walking.''

Instead of sharing more looks of concerns with each other, everyone just did what she asked. It couldn't possibly get any stranger, could it? They unfortunately had to find out the hard way that the answer was apparently that it could. They, and everyone else in the now parked airship, excluding Courier Six, learned this when the five girls erupted into a green glow and just vanished.

''Ahhhhh!'' All four of the new Companions screamed at the exact same time when they finally arrived on the other side of the teleportation. Ruby was actually so frightened by what she had seen that she jumped into Velvet's arms and both girls were now trying to comfort each other.

''Velvet, please make the giant bad lobster people go away. Don't let them kill me.'' Ruby said, crying at a rate that was beyond unconquerable by anyone else's own crying. Upon seeing this the Courier actually felt a little bit bad. They were strong, but obviously they weren't ready to see the unknown.

The Faunus keeping hold of Ruby begged for protection as well. ''Only if you promise to protect me from that giant purple spider thing. It killed all of those other students, and it even ate some of them. I don't like to use this word... but that was a freaking abomination.''

While they were crying Blake and Coco were in the middle of vomiting their guts out next to them. Yet another side effect of fast traveling for the very first time. ''Yeah, I know exactly how you guys feel.'' Six said in a casual tone as she began to open two bottles of Whisky. Both of the bottles were meant for her. ''Seeing entirely different Universes and Realities can be a little unsettling at first. In fact you're likely to lose a good portion of your mind in the process. For me the best thing to do is to drink it away.''

She wasn't about to offer them any bottles. It seemed wrong to give people their ages alcohol. But she wasn't quick enough when Coco ran up to her and stole one of the bottles out of her hand. In a matter of seconds, Coco managed to drink the whole thing.

Six actually congratulated her for beating Cass's own personal record. ''Damn, you'd give Cass a run for her money. You all should have seen me my first time. I was unlucky enough to get a good look at what happens when you try to divide by zero.''

After finishing her drink, Coco wasted no time getting a little bit of revenge. She slammed her fist right into the Courier's nose. Her strike combined with all of her anger proved to be enough to break it. ''You fucking bitch!'' Hurtful words, but words she really deserved to hear. ''How and why did you think it was a good idea to do that to us? What I saw can't be unseen no matter how much therapy. I'm going to be... going to be... to be... you know something? I never noticed just how pretty you are.''

Coco's odd realization greatly confused Six. But only after she managed to crack her nose back into place. ''Um, thanks? But that's a very sudden change of mood. Aren't you still made at me?'' But then her eyes widened with fear when she had her own realization. Taking the empty bottle out of Coco's hands, she began to closely examine it.

''Well, shit.'' She said, fully understanding of what she had just let happen. ''I just gave you an experimental type of Whiskey that's filled with all sorts of different types of Chems and even a few painkillers. Also there's a chance your liver might explode in a few seconds.

Coco wasn't exactly in any kind of state to be mad, among other things. ''Oh that's okay, you tried your best. Isn't that suppose to be the moral of the story? You know... know what we should do? We shou... should dance, just start dancing. That would make me the happiest little princess in all of Vale. Velvet, come over her and dance with me.''

To her alarm Velvet was grabbed by Coco who brought her in a little too close for comfort. ''I... I really want to dance with you. After that we can get some cake. How about some Velvet cake? You get it, because your name is also Velvet. Then we can just snuggle up together and...''

The chaos ended when she abruptly fell to the ground and was brought into a deep sleep. Velvet knelt down to make sure she was okay. Things were going very far from how the Courier planned them. She had to find a quick way to fix the situation.

''Okay, there are a lot of things that are fucked right now.'' She said, getting a frown from everyone. ''But we can still have a little bit of fun. Velvet, seeing as there's an obvious yet underused romance going on between the two of you, why don't you carry Coco?''

Now excessive blushing was another problem to add to Velvet's list. It was right next to extreme mental trauma. For one of the first times in her life she actually wanted to cause harm to another person. But despite that she still managed to resist the urge.

Blake wanted to take a quick strike at Six just like Coco did. But she wouldn't get the chance. Everyone, aside from Coco who was still on the floor and in no condition to fight, was put on full alert when they heard what was a combination of Grimm roaring, gunshots, and explosions that were so loud that it sounded like thunder.

''You guys will be able to kick my ass later.'' Six said, pulling out her SMG and checking her surroundings. ''But right now don't you think we should focus on what's... hey hold on a minute, I'd recognize the sound of that gun from anywhere. Joshua, is that you causing a ruckus?''

Instead of an answer through the use of words, it was given when a dead Beowolf landed in front of the girls. A flagpole was inserted into its head. The next person to make an appearance was a man who Courier Six could only recognize thanks to the look of his eyes. She had never seen Ulysses without his mask before.

Joshua followed behind him, no bandages covering his face. It certainly wasn't a very pleasant sight to look at. He looked over to the Courier and gave a sigh of relief. ''You were right.'' He said to Ulysses, who was fixing up his wounds. ''This World is even more dangerous than ours.''

Ulysses couldn't give a reply before him and Graham were both brought in for an unexpected hug. ''Guys, what are you doing here?'' Six asked, beyond happy to see the two most wise people she knew. ''We need to celebrate this reunion with a drink.''
