Harry Potter lowered his wand…
Staring at the body at his feet he couldn't believe it was over. How could it be over? Just like that? It's to good to be true. Wincing at the pain in his chest he realized something. The world was silent. No screaming, no yelling. Silence. The evil was gone. Harry Potter wanted to jump for joy. But he couldn't. He couldn't stop thinking about all of the lives that had been lost because of the man- no creature lying at his feet. Lord Voldemort was dead. He collapsed to his knees and wondered if Hermoine and Ron were still alive. If… Ginny was still alive. He stood shakily and started walking. He didn't know where he was going, he just had to get away from here.
Running now he tried to find a place where the ground was not littered with bodies. Those of Muggles, wizards and Death Eaters alike. He came to a stop inside a courtyard of Hogwarts. He couldn't remember Hogwarts but he knew that this is where the fights took place. It was so calm and silent, no birds, no people.
"Harry?" His head whipped around. There leaning against the archway was none other than… "Ginny?"
He ran over and skidded to a stop beside her.
"Have you seen Ron or Hermione?" she asked.
"I haven't seen anyone." He said speaking for the first time in what seemed like hours.
"Harry! You're hurt!" said Ginny gingerly touching his chest.
"Well so are you." He said indicating her leg.
Ginny laughed. It was the sweetest sound he had heard in a long time.
"Come on Mr. Hero. Lets go find people." His arm and they limped off into the corridor.
While they walked Ginny was silent.
"Harry?" she said looking up at him.
"Yeah?" he replied stopping.
"Well…" Ginny hesitated, "Now that… Voldemort is dead… can I say something?"
Harry nodded.
"Oh good." Said Ginny, "Harry Potter… I love you!"
Harry's mouth dropped open.
"Oh come on!" said another voice, "It can't be that much of a surprise can it?"
Harry and Ginny looked through a doorway and saw Ron emerge through it. He was supporting Hermoine on his shoulder. They both had their fair share of bloodstains but Ron looked like he had been attacked by a bunch of fangirls.
"It's not every day someone declares their undying love to you is it?" said Ron.
Ginny smirked and said, "Looks like he's not the only one."
Ron's ears turned red and Hermoine giggled.
"Come on!" said Hermione, "Kiss already!"
Harry looked into Ginny's eyes and happily obliged.
THE END
