Amelia thought she was on top of the world. Her mother believed that if you tried, then there was nothing that you couldn't do. That was before her mommie had gone to heaven however and her father took her in. Still she believed that she was a failure had she failed to try so here she was in a cheerleading tryout despite feeling a little worn out and chilly at the same time.

"Okay here we go, show us what you've got," the cheerleading captian told them.

Amelia did a cheer gracefully and beautifully and even though the others on the team liked it, the captian scoffed at the cheer. Still she ignored her. She tried and she wouldn't fail unless she failed to try again.

She had to admit, however, that the heat was sort of getting to her.

"You were great," one of the cheerleaders on the team commented.

"Thanks, I just believe that if you try, you have nothing to lose," Amelia beamed.

The girl nodded.

Amelia was dissapointed that her father wasn't there.

The captian came up to the two last contestents.

"You are the only ones left so do your best," she told them.

Everyone clapped politely at the other girl's performance. Just before Amelia got up, she felt lightheaded and thought that the people were too close to her. She had a phobia of being enclosed and her breath hitched. She began her cheer just fine but then her breath caught and she couldn't breath.

The team members came to her just before her world turned dark.
