ZAFT: I will have to check it out then. I wonder what it will cover. XD

DarkFoxKit: I just hope the fans will buy it up to show Nickelodeon that there's still interest in the series. But enough about that, let's get into the story.

Chapter 9: Pulling off a Prank

Danny looked at Andy. "So, um… aside from our small scare, are you still up for the prank?" He asked curiously.

"Yes, of course, we've worked hard to make sure everything is in order, I'm not going to stop now because of this little dilemma," Andy answered. "Though we will probably want to look into it once we're done. Ghostly threats are still dangerous after all."

Danny nodded in agreement. "I agree. We can't just let a ghostly shaver thing run around. Not that it is anymore, but still…"

"Yeah, for now, let's go. The sooner we finish the prank, the sooner we can figure out where that ghost shaver came from," Andy said as he picked up his and Danny's helmets, and Danny picked up the suitcase.

The two of them got on their mopeds and headed off to Dash's house.

When Danny and Andy arrived at their destination, they saw Sam, Tucker, and Takuya already there, waiting.

"There you two are," Tucker said. "We were waiting for almost 30 minutes. Did something hold you up?"

"We had an incident with a shaver that tried to shave off my head," Andy answered. "But thanks to Danny calling you guys, Phantom saved me at the last minute."

"What?" Takuya blinked. "Danny never ca-"

"Right, yeah, he did call me. I had my phone on silent and nearly missed it," Sam quickly said. "Takuya was busy looking through the window, so he didn't notice Phantom or that we told him to save you."

Takuya blinked and frowned, but he remained silent. That's odd. I know Danny never called us, but… I guess I can't complain since Danny and Andy are here, safe and sound.

"Good thing you got here when you did then. The party is about to start." Tucker said as he peered in through a window. "And look at all the girls~"

"We're not here to party with the popular kids, Tucker," Sam grumbled.

"Alright, Danny and I will get inside," Andy said. "One of us will signal Phantom to bring you guys in through an empty room where we can set up."

"I'll do that," Danny volunteered.

"But I thought you didn't want to be around Phantom," Andy said. "Wouldn't it be better if I did that?"

Danny looked unsure, but shook his head. "N-no… It's fine if I do it. I don't have to be near him, but I can still get his attention." Oh man… if only there were a way to have more of me around… It's not like I can make more of myself though…

"Besides, you're better with keeping Dash distracted while Danny goes to an empty room to signal for Phantom anyways," Sam added, hoping to help Danny out.

"Alright, fine," Andy sighed. "I'll distract Dash while Danny goes to signal Phantom."

"Where is Phantom anyways? I haven't seen him yet," Takuya pointed out.

"He's likely around, just invisible and waiting for the signal," Tucker said. "I mean he doesn't want someone to spot him and panic after all."

Sam nodded. "Phantom just likes to remain out of sight until he is needed." She agreed.

"Alright, guys, let's get everything in place," Andy said. "We don't want to stick out here too long in case more guests arrive."

Danny nodded. "Alright, let's get this started!"

Danny picked up the suitcase as he and Andy walked up to the front door. Tucker, Sam, and Takuya ran behind the house to keep out of sight.

Andy rang the doorbell, and the twins waited until Dash answered the door. Much to Danny's surprise, Dash wasn't wearing those fancy sweats, instead, he wore what appeared to be Danny's own outfit.

Danny actually blinked, glad Andy had talked him out of the sweats. Wow, I guess Andy's idea for a prank was better than those sweats after all.

"Oh? I see you arrived." Dash said, surprised that Andy and Danny were actually not in the sweats he had originally intended on having. "I didn't expect you to show up in loser chec."

"Why are you wearing Danny's clothes?" Andy asked.

Dash tried to act like he wasn't concerned, though he looked more at Danny than at Andy when he spoke. "You see, I didn't have enough money to buy those sweets after paying for those computer stuff, so I changed the dress code to loser chic. Though since you two aren't part of my posse, you didn't get the email, so… I'm impressed you showed up in those clothes."

"Y-yeah! Well, these are our clothes, so of course we'd wear them." Danny said, trying to act all cool.

"I guess we just got lucky then, didn't we?" Andy remarked.

Dash had to make sure he remained dominant over these two, having someone who could turn into a dragon was dangerous, but it would totally look great on his street cred if word ever got out that Andy was a dragon.

"Well, come on in, the party's just getting started," Dash welcomed.

The twins walked into the house, only to see most of the popular kids wore Tucker, Sam, Danny, Andy, and a lot of other outfits that not very popular kids usually wore.

Danny looked around, seeing some of the popular kids were also dressed like Mikey and some of the nerdy band players. Wow, Dash wasn't kidding when he said it was loser chic. He noted, feeling a bit sorry for the other less popular kids.

Paulina came up, dressed like Sam. Danny actually gave a cringe; Paulina did not pull off the Goth look that well. "Do you like it? It's so horrible, it's cool!"

"Um… yeah… cool…" Danny said, not wanting to hurt Paulina's feelings. Oh wow… Paulina does not pull off Sam's look very well…

Andy raised an eyebrow at Paulina before she looked at them.

"You two… are still wearing the same thing?" Paulina asked. "I know the dress code is 'loser chic', but at least dress as someone other than yourselves."

"Why are we included in the 'loser chic'? I thought we were higher on the popularity scale after being invited," Andy asked.

Danny actually had to wonder the same thing. "Yeah. I don't get it either."

Paulina shrugged. "Ask Dash about that one, he put your names in the 'loser chic' in the email."

"Oh did he now?" Andy grinned. Well, that makes me feel less guilty about pulling this prank now. "Well that's good to know."

In a way, Dash did want Andy to turn into a dragon, just to prove to everyone he really was a dragon so he wouldn't come off as crazy. He just wanted to make sure he was far away when it happened.

Dash didn't like the grin Andy was giving him though, and it showed on his face slightly.

Danny saw this and he felt a bit bad about doing the prank to Dash, but at the same time, he wanted to pull the prank as a way of payback too for being in the 'loser chic' group.

"Well, how about we split up and mingle around for a bit, bro?" Andy said to Danny. "You can text me if you need me."

Danny grinned. "Oh, don't worry, I will." He said. Time for 'Phantom' to get the others in here.

Danny sneakily headed upstairs, which was easy since most of the other popular kids were ignoring his existence, proving Andy's point even more. Danny was glad he had his brother with him, he could've made a big mistake by ditching his actual friends for these people.

Andy began to greet the other popular kids, and didn't intend to talk to them much like how they didn't intend to talk to him, however, Andy ran into someone he forgot was also invited to the party.

"Well, look who joined the party~"

Andy stopped when he saw Valerie, wearing a white nerdy outfit, with gray pants. At least Valerie had the decency to not wear a Sam outfit like Paulina.

"O-oh, hey Valerie," Andy greeted sheepishly, probably the only popular girl he didn't dislike. "Are you having a wonderful evening?"

"I'm having a good evening. Thank you for asking." Valerie said with a smile. "How do you like the outfit? Very loser chic, right?"

"I prefer the term 'not popular', 'loser' just sounds a bit harsh," Andy replied sheepishly. "When you think about it, the nerds of the school might make it pretty good in life after graduation."

Valerie chuckled. "Most nerds tend to do that." She agreed. "Some might not be so lucky, but others will most likely make it big."

"So maybe we should be a little nicer to them?" Andy asked.

"Yeah, maybe, but the other popular kids may not see it that way," Valerie said. "I don't go around making them miserable though. They have it rough enough as is."

"Don't I know it?" Andy chuckled. "Too bad I can't pick between being a nerd or being popular though. Even nerds have standards on who they hang out with. But I'm content with my group of friends."

"Yeah, sometimes I'm a little jealous of that," Valerie admitted.

"You are?" Andy blinked. "Do you not have a lot of friends you can just hang out with?"

"I hang out with the popular kids. I don't have any friends aside from them, and you." Valerie admitted, revealing that last one with a slight blush on her face.

Andy blushed. "Y-you… consider me as a friend…? Even though we only went to one dance together, that was kind of cut short?"

"You've been the only one I can talk to without being judged." Valerie admitted. "Doesn't… that makes us friends?"

Andy tried not to blush more than he already was. "W-well… uh… s-sure, yeah. If you need someone to talk to, I wouldn't mind lending an ear."

Andy gave something some thought. "So… my brother and I plan to put on… quite a spectacular show. It's something we've been planning for a while, so… uh… I hope you'll be able to enjoy it."

Valerie blinked. "You… plan to put on some kind of show?" She asked, surprised and confused. Valerie didn't know whether she should be impressed or worried.

"Heh… well, let's just say we wanted to really… impress the other popular kids," Andy chuckled.

Meanwhile, Danny opened the door to what he believed to be Dash's room. It looked empty enough, and a good spot to bring the others in.

He looked at the window to see Sam, Tucker, and Takuya were down there, which was perfect. Danny opened the window to make it look like he was giving signals to someone they couldn't see, mostly for Takuya's sake. "I'll flash a flashlight as the signal, okay, Phantom?"

Danny called out, feeling awkward he was talking to himself. He then backed away from the window so Takuya couldn't see him before he transformed into his ghost form, using that as the 'flashlight' signal. Once he had transformed, Danny turned himself invisible and intangible, so Takuya wouldn't see him coming out of the house, and flew down to them. Once Phantom was near, he released his invisibility and intangibility.

"Okay guys, are you ready?" Phantom asked.

The group turned to see Phantom there.

"It's about time we got in there." Tucker grinned.

Sam had a wicked grin on her face. "Time to crash the party~"

Takuya nodded, also grinning. "Let's see how popular kids like a prank of this scale."

Phantom picked up Tucker and Sam first, since he only had two hands. He brought them into Dash's room before he came back out to pick up Takuya and flew him into the room as well.

"Alright, I got you guys in. I'll be watching how things unfold from here," Phantom said. "After all, it wouldn't really be very cool if I used my powers directly to help with the prank."

"We understand, dude." Tucker said. "You've done your part. Now just sit back and enjoy the prank~"

Phantom nodded with a smile before he waved goodbye and turned intangible, flying out of the room.

"Now… uh… where did Danny go?" Takuya asked.

Phantom quickly doubled around to phase into the wall of the building, and flew out just in front of Dash's door again before transforming back into his human form. He opened the door to walk in.

"Hey, looks like Phantom got you guys in no problem," Danny said.

Takuya blinked when he saw Danny. "You were… outside the room?"

Danny shrugged. "I'm uneasy around Phantom, so when I knew he would be bringing you guys in, I waited outside the door."

Takuya blinked, but accepted the explanation. Sam and Tucker were impressed at Danny's cover story, with Sam giving Danny a discreet thumbs up.

"Alright, let's get everything set up before I text Andy to get up here," Danny said as he opened up the suitcase.

"This is going to be so fun, I hope you're recording this, Tucker," Sam said, feeling giddy.

Tucker had out his PDA to record the prank. "Oh, you know I will be~ We can then watch it any time we want, recorded for posterity~"

Takuya also grinned, feeling a bit giddy as well. "This will be my first prank on popular kids ever. I don't think I will ever forget this."

Meanwhile, Andy was having a nicer time than he thought he would've with Valerie. Valerie was very down to earth despite being with the popular kids.

"So what do your parents do for a living?" Valerie asked Andy.

"Well, they're very passionate inventors," Andy answered. "They sell some inventions to the public as their day jobs. But they're really into another project that would have others raise their eyebrows at."

"Oh? What would that be?" Valerie asked. "Having side projects is a good hobby."

"I'd rather not say, it's kind of embarrassing. Our big sister is especially against it," Andy sighed. "She makes it really clear every day."

"Oh? It can't be that bad, can it?" Valerie questioned, clearly not letting the subject go.

Andy sighed. "If you really want to know, don't say I didn't warn you. They're ghost hunters, or they claim to be since they've never seen a real ghost yet."

"Ghost hunters?" Valerie raised an eyebrow. "That might be weird, but it's not the weirdest thing. Trying going after Bigfoot. That would be weird."

Andy chuckled. "Well, at least they're able to live off of the inventions they make. So what about your parents?"

Valerie hesitated a little. "Well, Mom has been gone for a while. It's just been me and my dad."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." Andy frowned.

Valerie sighed. "It's hard not having a mother, but my dad certainly tries his best. His job as head of security at Axiom Labs helps somewhat, but the days he works can get long and that is a bit rough. At least it gives us plenty of money, so I can't complain too much."

"Well, that's pretty good, at least it's always good to look at the silver lining," Andy agreed.

Andy felt his cell phone vibrating in his pocket. He reached into his pocket to pull out his phone to see it was a text message from Danny, saying they were ready.

Andy was about to text back that he would be there, when he suddenly felt someone shoving him onto the table, causing him to fall face first into a bowl of mashed potatoes.

"Hey, Fentonia! Enjoying the potatoes?" Calvin snickered.

Dash was watching from afar. He told Calvin to try to get Andy to turn into a dragon. Unlike Dash, Calvin didn't see Andy transform into a dragon up close like he did, so Calvin was more than happy to flex on a loser like a Fenton.

"What'd you do that for?" Valerie frowned at Calvin. "He was enjoying the party like everyone else!"

"Oh, just a little 'friendly' shove." Calvin grinned.

Andy pushed himself up from the mashed potatoes while Valerie was getting on Calvin's case. Andy texted his brother to come downstairs, the transformation is going to happen down there, especially since he had the perfect opportunity.

Danny replied back right away, telling Andy to head over to where he was waiting by the stairs.

Andy rubbed his face with a napkin and he glared at Calvin. "I didn't appreciate that. But come on, see if you can do it again."

Andy paced himself near the stairs, waiting to be shoved towards it.

Calvin took the bait and shoved Andy towards the stairs, a grin on his face. "Ooops! I didn't mean to push you so hard!" Calvin sneered.

The other kids were getting a little concerned. Even for a loser, it was unusual for one of the jocks to bully someone in the party. The party was meant to be a place for fun and mingling, not bullying. Some of them were asking Calvin what his problem was.

Andy made himself stumble further back than he would've normally, so he could reach Danny easier without arousing suspicion. He hit the wall near the stairs.

Andy looked up at Danny and gave him the thumbs up.

Tucker and Sam brought the fog machine they brought them. Apparently Sam just had one lying around her house, which they decided was going to be perfect to start off the 'transformation'. They started up the fog machine to start covering up Andy.

"You know what? Screw you! I came here to have a good time, and you just want to push me around anyways?" Andy shouted, sounding angry, catching everyone's attention. "You will pay for this!"

Dash was both excited yet horrified, this was what he wanted, but thinking about it, maybe he shouldn't have tried to turn a boy into a dragon in his own house.

Under the cover of the fog, Danny came down the stairs in his half of the dragon suit. "Ready, bro?" He whispered once he was near Andy. "Get in front of this thing, and we can give the popular kids a roaring good time."

"You and your puns, bro," Andy chuckled as Danny handed him an attachable microphone.

Tucker modified the microphone to change Andy's voice to sound more like his dragon counterpart. Andy attached the microphone on the neck of his shirt before getting into his half of the dragon costume. Sam had done a good job at replicating the blue and green dragon.

Takuya, who was further up the stairs, was currently in his Agunimon form, which he had evolved into while the others were busy with the fog machine. He would have to time his Pyro Darts just right when Andy had the dragon costume's maw open up.

Agunimon was actually grinning, showing his sharp canine teeth. Oh, this will be fun~ He thought eagerly.

"Fog's covered the room." Sam reported to Tucker.

Andy had the dragon's claw give Sam the thumbs up.

"They're ready, shut off the fog machine," Sam informed Tucker.

Tucker shut off the fog machine, a grin on his face. "I can't wait to see their faces when they see a 'dragon' in the room!"

Sam rolled her eyes, but grinned as well.

With the fog machine turned off, the other popular kids opened the window to get rid of the fog. However, they were shocked to see a dragon standing in Andy's place. Dash gasped, seeing his own nightmares coming to life once more.

"I WILL BURN YOU!" Andy shouted, using the microphone to amplify his voice.

Andy had the dragon's maw open up, and Agunimon shot out his Pyro Darts, careful not to actually hit anyone. This was enough to cause the other popular kids to scream and start running around in a panic. Valerie was confused, but she wondered if this was the 'spectacular show' Andy was talking about before.

From their hiding spots, Sam and Tucker were trying very hard to not laugh.

"Oh… Oh my gosh! This is too funny!" Tucker exclaimed as he recorded the whole thing.

Sam was trying hard to not fall over in her laughter. "D-damn it… This is probably the best way to spend a Saturday night!"

Agunimon, watching from his spot further down, couldn't help but laugh as well. He was almost doubled over in his laughter, and he couldn't find the energy to speak, he was laughing that hard.

Many of the popular kids were diving out the windows to get away.

"T-this has to be a trick!" Dash shouted, trying to confront his nightmares once and for all. "N-nerds don't j-just turn into d-dragons!"

Andy and Danny had the dragon suit walk closer to Dash, Andy made a growling sound at Dash before letting out a realistic sounding roar. Andy had to hand it to Tucker for making the roars and growls sound so realistic.

"Y-you have to be tricking me!" Dash whimpered, trying to sound braver than he felt.

"Dash! What are you doing!? Get away from there!" Kwan shouted, worried for his friend.

Kwan tried to get the 'dragon' to back off by grabbing onto the costume's tail.

"Bro, we got someone pulling our 'tail'," Danny whispered.

Andy had the dragon head turn to look at Kwan and let out another roar before he had his fake claws swipe towards Kwan, though Andy did it slowly enough for Danny to sneakily kick Kwan's leg to make him fall over so Andy's 'claws' would barely miss him.

"There we go~" Danny whispered to Andy.

"D-dude!" Kwan whimpered. "A d-dragon is h-here!"

Dash squealed when the dragon turned its attention back to him.

Alright, it's almost time to reveal ourselves. Andy smiled, seeing how he made his point now.

However, just when things were all going according to plan, a very familiar, and by now, unwanted blue mist came out of Danny's mouth. At the same time, Agunimon had that hot and cold feeling again.

"Oh no…" Danny whispered to himself, trying to hide his ghost sense.

In his spot further down the stairs, Agunimon felt those conflicting feelings of chills and heat and gasped. "Ah… Not now…"

"Andy, maybe we should scare everyone out of Dash's house?" Danny suggested.

Andy frowned before he covered up the microphone before speaking to Danny. "Why? Doing that will make them run away before we can show them we're not actually a dragon."

"Um… it would be better if they could see the 'dragon' was fake outside?" Danny suggested back.

"Is something going on that I don't know about?" Andy frowned.

However, Andy had been still for too long, because Dash managed to gain enough courage to try to grab onto the dragon's 'neck'.

"N-no nerd is going to o-overpower m-me!" Dash shouted.

Unfortunately for Danny, he was stuck here. Well he could use intangibility to get out easily, but Andy would definitely notice his absence, and Andy was already starting to get suspicious.

Agunimon, seeing how he knew a ghost was nearby, decided to check it out. Surely Phantom was looking into it as well by now. He opened the door to Dash's room since that was where he felt the feeling the strongest.

However, his blue eyes widened when he saw what looked like Dash's computer floating. It was green with a green and black face on the main screen. The eyes were red and the mouth was red and black. It was laughing as more technological items began to gather around it.

"Shit…" Agunimon hissed when he saw this.

To make matters worse, there was no sign of Phantom anywhere. What was Phantom doing? He was usually on this stuff.

The technological items soon merged into one big black with green accented robotic body. "I AM TECHNUS! MASTER OF ALL THINGS MECHANICAL! AND ONCE I COMPLETE MY CONSTRUCTION, YOU WILL ALL SUCCUMB TO MY AWESOME POW- Pow-wow… What is wrong with me!?"

The supposed ghost that called itself 'Technus' in the robotic body seemed to be glitching out a bit. Agunimon realized this ghost was using Dash's computer, and he remembered hearing how Dash was having issues with his computer to Andy earlier.

I see! The computer isn't fully upgraded yet! Agunimon realized. He was not about to let the ghost get its new body updated, but he was not dumb enough to say it to the ghost either. Instead, Agunimon moved to grab the upgrade disc he saw on Dash's bed.

"Huh? WHO ARE YOU!?" Technus shouted when he saw Agunimon. "You… You're not supposed to be in this world! How did you get here!?"

Technus's head then started glitching out again. "Gah! That's not important! What's that disc you got there?"

"That's none of your business!" Agunimon snapped back, holding the upgrade disc close to his chest. The words 'Portals XL Upgrade' could be read between his fingers.

"An 'Upgrade' disc? That could be useful! I'll take that!" Technus grinned.

Agunimon knew he had to do something quick. He was about to use his Pyro Darts when Technus shoved out a toaster from this robotic body, and shot out glowing toast at Agunimon. Agunimon jumped away, dodging, his training with Andy coming in handy.

"Geez! This guy is nuts!" Agunimon muttered, trying to keep the upgrade disc away from Technus. I can't let him get this disc. But where is Phantom? I could use his help!

"What's going on in-" Sam asked when she heard a lot of noise and opened the door, and was shocked to see this robotic ghost fighting against Agunimon. "What the!?"

"S-Sam!" Agunimon called. "Can you get Phantom to come over here!? I don't know what he's doing, but I need his help!"

"O-oh, right, uh… I'll try to get him!" Sam quickly said before she shut the door.

Agunimon was punched into a closet, getting a soft landing due to a bunch of leather jackets, and… a floor filled with pink and purple cute teddy bears.

"Ugh…" Agunimon shook his head before he lowered his hand and looked around. "H-huh?" He reached down and picked up a teddy-bear. "Something tells me I don't want to know the story behind these…"

Meanwhile, Sam ran over to Tucker. "Tucker, we've got trouble. There's a ghost in Dash's room, he's using a lot of tech stuff. Agunimon is trying to fight him off, but he needs Danny's help."

"But Danny's kinda in the middle of something, what should we do?" Tucker frowned.

"Turn on the fog machine, I'll see if I can switch places with Danny," Sam quickly instructed.

Tucker blinked, but then grinned. "You got it, Sam." He said as he switched on the fog machine again.

Sam crept over to Danny's end of the dragon suit as the fog crept into the room again.

Andy managed to shake Dash off, he hadn't anticipated the prank to go on for this long, or the fact they were getting covered with fog again. What's Tucker doing? I didn't want more fog now!

Sam opened up the dragon suit.

"Danny, you're… needed for something important," Sam quickly said. "I'll take over from here."

Danny didn't even get a chance to reply, Sam grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the costume before Sam herself went in, covering the costume up again.

"Sam? What's-" Andy began to ask, holding his mic, now very confused.

"Don't worry about it, just focus on the prank," Sam said. "I'll be the dragon's butt."

Andy chose not to comment on how that sounded coming out of Sam's mouth. "But I didn't plan on the prank going for this long."

"Try to be creative," Sam said.

Andy didn't know what was going on, but apparently now he had to keep the popular kids distracted with his dragon costume for some reason, and Danny was needed for something.

After Sam had swapped places with Danny, Danny ran upstairs. Tucker already turned off the fog machine, and gave Danny the thumbs up.

Danny transformed into his ghost form, and flew into Dash's room.

Phantom, as Danny was known now, saw the fight that was going on. Agunimon was fighting against what looked like a robotic ghost that spoke in Technus's voice. Looking at Agunimon's hand, Phantom saw the upgrade disc in his grasp.

Agunimon looked back and saw Phantom there. "It's about time you got here!" He exclaimed, relieved to see the ghost boy.

"Ah, sorry, I got held up with something," Phantom apologized.

"So I see I have more unwanted guests!" Technus grumbled. "No matter, I will get that upgrade disc and take over the world!"

Phantom fired ghost rays at Technus, shoving him against the wall. "He's a tough one. Maybe Tucker might be able to hack into his system?"

"Anything is better than just pounding away at this guy." Agunimon agreed. "But we need to take this fight outside. If this Technus gets downstairs, others will be hurt or worse."

Technus shot out more glowing toast at them before he shot out an electric attack at Agunimon. Agunimon didn't expect it and was caught up by the electrical currents, which was shocking his entire body painfully, and caused him to drop the upgrade disc.

Phantom was worried about Agunimon, but he tried to grab the disc himself to keep Technus away from it. Unfortunately, Technus had the advantage since Phantom had hesitated in his worry for Agunimon, and shot out smelly socks from his chest at Phantom, which slammed into his face and caused him to hit the wall. Phantom was a little dazed from the smelly socks. Agunimon could barely move after that shock attack, leaving Technus with the disc.

"This is mine now!" Technus gleefully said as he inserted the disc into his chest.

Phantom snapped out of his daze and looked up. "No!" He exclaimed as he saw Technus's upgrade completed itself. "Oh crud… This isn't good… Agunimon? Are you alright?"

"F-fine… just… g-get him out… hurry…" Agunimon begged.

Phantom was worried for his cousin, but he had to focus on the big threat right now. Before Technus could do anything else, Phantom tackled the big robot, turning both of them intangible and went through the wall, going outside.

While this was happening, Andy had enough. He didn't plan to be this dragon just to scare the crap out of everyone until they passed out or ran away.

"Well Dash, seems you've learned your lesson," Andy said, taking off his mic.

"What are you doing?" Sam hissed.

"Something I should've done a few minutes ago," Andy said back.

Oh crud… This isn't good. Sam thought in alarm. She had to keep the other guests at the party distracted somehow, but if Andy wasn't going to go along with it, she had to come up with a different plan. But then Sam realized they could keep the other guests distracted. But it all hinged on how the popular kids would react, just as Andy had said it would.

Sam then sighed. "Okay… I get it. Enough is enough."

"What?" Dash frowned, confused. He had already soiled his pants, not that he was going to say that out loud.

"I mean I believe I'm done with this whole dragon thing," Andy answered before he took apart the costume, showing him and Sam that had been inside it.

The other kids who were still there, and conscious, were shocked to see the whole dragon thing was just a costume.

"W-what?" Dash stared in disbelief. "B-b-but that transformation! The roaring, the fire!"

"All special effects. I used a high tech mic to sound like I was roaring," Andy explained, turning on the mic. "LIKE THIS."

"And the fire was special effects. It wasn't real." Sam said, covering for the fire. "This was all just a big prank."

"A… prank?" Dash furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean it was… a prank?"

"If it's not obvious enough to you, let me spell it out," Andy said. "I got sick of your bullying, so I decided to pull a prank that would shake you up and make you stop trying to bully me and my friends. As you can see, we were more than capable of making you all believe I had actually turned into a dragon. But since the gig is up, I guess you should let everyone else know there never was a dragon attack at the dance. It was all one big, elaborate prank."

Dash blinked, as did everyone else who was still at the party or conscious. "You pulled this scale of a prank, not just once, but twice?" Dash asked, not entirely sure what to make of this. On one hand, he knew he should be mad, but on the other hand, the fact that these nerds had pulled the same prank twice was impressive to say the least.

"Yup," Andy said. "While I may not be a dragon, just remember that us nerds have ways of getting back at those who pick on us. So it looks like we may have ruined your party-"

There was a sudden earthquake that caused everyone to nearly fall on their butts.

"W-what was that? Another one of your pranks!?" Kwan squeaked.

Andy frowned as he looked at Sam, wondering if she knew something.

Sam looked hesitant to explain the quake, as she had no idea on how to do that. Crap… What should I say? I can't just say there is a fight upstairs or something!

Andy realized that it may be related to that ghost shaver he and Phantom dealt with earlier. He stood up and pulled his dragon costume upstairs. "Well, I believe we're done here. You try to salvage your party, and we'll get a headstart to run. Okay, bye!"

Sam made to follow Andy, but not before she gave a wave of her own with a big grin. "Hope you enjoyed our prank~" She said before running after Andy.

Dash and the other popular kids who were still there just stood there, dumbfounded, nor were they sure how to react to what just happened.

Dash, realizing he needed to save face, quickly shouted. "Fenton! YOU'RE A DEADMAN!"

"There's the Dash we all know," Andy chuckled as he stuffed the costume into the suitcase. "Tucker, what's going on? Where are Danny and Takuya?"

Tucker paled. "Oh… Uh…" Crap… I need to come up with cover stories faster.

"Don't sputter, tell me where they are!" Andy demanded, getting worried now.

There was another quake.

"Nevermind that now, we need to get out of here!" Sam yelled.

Andy, Tucker, and Sam hastily packed up the fog machine, and began rushing downstairs, going past Dash and the other popular kids. Dash yelled at them to wait, but they ignored him and ran out through the front door.

"So we're gonna die at school on Monday, right?" Tucker asked.

"I guess that's the price we pay to make sure nobody thinks Andy is a dragon," Sam shrugged. "Not that I care."

"Of course you don't, Dash doesn't hit girls…" Tucker muttered.

"Can we worry about what will happen later?" Andy grumbled. "What's-"

"ARH!"

Something black and white flew past them and hit a wall pretty hard. Andy blinked in confusion when he saw Phantom, Tucker and Sam were more concerned.

"Hey guys, glad you could make it…" Phantom said before he fell to the ground.

"Oh crap… Phantom's out of it…" Sam muttered as she saw Phantom was actually knocked out.

"What was he fighting?" Andy frowned.

Then a red, yellow, and black blur flew past them next, who also hit a wall, but he hit it after Phantom did, which caused the wall to break, and the being to fall through it.

"Oh shit!" Tucker yelped when he saw the figure that had hit the wall. "Agunimon!"

"Oh geez… this isn't good…" Sam realized. "That ghost is much stronger than both of them…"

Then a large, black and green robot thing towered over them. The 3 humans looked on in surprise and horror, seeing electricity crackling from its body. It was intimidating… until it spoke.

"I AM TECHNUS! MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESTROYER OF WORLDS! BEHOLD MY AWESOME ELECTRONIC FURY! WHO'S YOUR DADDY!?"

"Technus?" Andy blinked, remembering that 80's style ghost he and Danny sucked into the Fenton Weasel a few days ago. Oh… oh no… his ectoplasm must've possessed all the stuff we sold in the garage sale… guess people are going to want their money back…

"You know him?" Tucker asked.

"Danny and I had a bit of a run in with him before, but he wasn't this… big or dangerous back then," Andy answered. "He must've possessed all of my dad's stuff and combined it into this big robot. It's no wonder Phantom is having a hard time, most of it is anti-ghost… though I guess Agunimon isn't strong enough to take it on either…"

"You think?! We saw the guy punch off Skulker's head last time!" Tucker all but shouted. "You think Agunimon would have an easier time with this guy!"

"Run!" Sam yelled as Technus was coming closer.

They scattered, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the robot's big foot.

"Isn't there something we can do to defeat this guy?" Tucker asked.

"I mean… can't you hack into his system like you did for Skulker?" Andy asked back.

"Skulker had my PDA, this guy doesn't! I mean what does he have? A bunch of anti ghost stuff? A washer as his chest? A computer as a head?" Tucker frowned.

"A computer…" Andy blinked as he remembered some computer stuff he sold in that garage sale. "What if that computer is running on Portal XL?"

Tucker blinked. "Portals XL? That software has some of the worst security programs imaginable! Anyone could hack into… it… Oh… I see." Tucker said as he realized what Andy was talking about.

"It's definitely the worst software ever," Sam agreed.

"But it's going to take me some time to hack into it," Tucker said. "Can you keep him busy?"

Andy blinked. "Does it look like I can keep a giant robot busy for long? … Wait… maybe it's not impossible."

Technus was enjoying how much power he had. He looked down, seeing the ghost boy was unconscious, and he couldn't see where the annoying other being was. Now he was free to go and take over the world.

Then suddenly, there was a loud roar that startled the robotic ghost.

"What the? What was that?" Technus frowned.

There was a large looking dragon flying around the sky.

"W-Wha!? A dragon?!" Technus blinked, not sure if what he was seeing was real.

Down on the ground, Sam was grinning. "Oh, I like this plan." She said with a smirk.

"Well, Tucker did record us 'flying', might as well put it to use," Andy said, using Tucker's PDA to move the animated projection around.

Tucker was using his spare PDA to try to hack into the security system.

"I'm not going to let a mere dragon destroy what I have planned!" Technus shouted as he fired out ghost rays at the projection.

Andy had the projection move out of the way, then used his mic to let out another roar. He didn't know how long he had before Technus realized this wasn't a real dragon.

Technus took out a giant remote controller to try to do something to the projection, but because it was a projection, the remote did nothing.

"What's going on!? What kind of dragon is this!?" Technus shouted before he tried going up at the projection himself. "Take this you big lizard!"

Technus sent out jolts of electricity, which Andy couldn't really get the projection to dodge, and Technus saw how his electricity went through the dragon.

"What the?!" Technus demanded. "Hey! This isn't a dragon!" He exclaimed, seeing how the dragon seemed to flicker slightly, revealing its fake status. "WHO IS TRYING TO TRICK TECHNUS!?"

"Tucker… any time!" Andy urgently said.

"I'm trying, but I can't bypass the security! He must've upgraded!" Tucker realized. "We will need the latest version of Portals XL for me to shut him down! But where are we going to get one at this time of night?"

Sam smiled, now it was her turn to shine. "Leave it to me."

Sam held up her cell phone before she speed dialed someone. Andy frowned as he turned off the dragon projection before Technus could link it back to them. But they were out of options to distract him.

"Guys? We-" Andy began to say before a sudden ecto blast and fiery darts shot at the robot, knocking him down a bit.

Phantom and Agunimon had regained consciousness, and were pushing back Technus before he could find the other 3.

"Just leave the distraction to us." Agunimon said without even looking back at the 3 humans behind him. "You focus on what you need to do."

"At least we stand a better chance of taking his blows than you guys." Phantom added. "Just do your thing and we will do ours."

"Looks like we just got more time," Andy said in relief.

Technus sent out a claw that grabbed onto Agunimon. " You're such a hothead, perhaps you could use some washing off?"

Agunimon yelped as he was dragged into the robot's chest, which was a washer. The entire thing filled up with water in an instant before Technus began to spin Agunimon around.

"Hey! You let him go!" Phantom shouted as he flew at Technus.

Technus took out a remote control, and pushed a button, which transformed Phantom into a supermodel all of a sudden. Andy covered his mouth to try not to laugh, Tucker however, didn't hold back and laughed his head off.

"H-Hey!" Phantom exclaimed as he was turned into Spock from Star Trek next. He frowned as he snatched the remote. "Give me that!"

Phantom pressed a button and was returned to normal before he tossed the remote aside and flew at Technus's chest to save Agunimon.

Technus grinned. "I'll give it to you alright! Here, nice and clean!"

Technus opened the washer's door, shooting out the very soaked, and dizzy, Agunimon right at Phantom. Both of them went flying into another wall.

"Ow…" Phantom groaned. He looked over at Agunimon, trying to see if he was alright, but then he saw something that actually made him concerned and worried. While Agunimon seemed fine at first, a closer look revealed some kind of shimmering ring around his body. It was clear Agunimon was in no condition to fight. "Agunimon…?"

A woman with blond hair arrived near Tucker, Sam, and Andy. She rode on a scooter, and gave Sam a small, white box. "Here you go, Sam."

"Thanks Tracy," Sam said as she took the box and handed the delivery woman a 20 dollar bill like it was nothing.

"Wow… you have access to the latest software after hours?" Tucker asked, astonished.

"Yep." Tracy replied before she handed Tucker the voucher. "Please sign here."

Tucker had been about to ask what else she did after hours, but when he saw the voucher, he decided to just keep his comment to himself and sign it.

Andy was wondering how Sam had someone like Tracy, who Sam knew by name, able to deliver her something so fast. Last he checked, 20 dollars was quite expensive for teens like them who either get small allowances or no allowances at all.

"Here, download this into your PDA," Sam instructed Tucker, giving him the white box. "It should upgrade your PDA enough to hack into Technus's system."

"Already on it." Tucker smiled.

"I don't think Agunimon and Phantom are going to last much longer," Andy said.

"Not only that, we need someone to get close enough to Technus to plug in this," Tucker said, holding up a plug in wire. "It'll be the most direct and easy way to hack into his system than trying to do it wirelessly."

"I think we have a bigger problem…" Sam said as she pointed at Phantom and Agunimon. "I think something's wrong with Agunimon…"

Andy and Tucker frowned as they looked at Agunimon, seeing the ring around his body. Phantom was floating in front of Agunimon, trying to defend him from Technus.

"That's… weird… What does that mean?" Tucker asked.

"Nothing good," Andy replied before he took the wire from Tucker. "You said you just need this to plug into Technus, right?"

"Yeah, that's right." Tucker said. "Once that wire is plugged in, it's easy for me to do my thing. But how are we going to plug… Oh… Oh, I see!" Tucker realized what Andy was getting at. "Phantom… He could do it!"

"I don't think so, he's a little busy at the moment," Andy said. "Just get ready to hack."

Andy ran towards Technus.

"Wait! What are you doing!?" Tucker shouted.

Technus sent out another claw to grab onto Phantom and sent him flying back into a wall. Phantom groaned, trying to get the claw off of him.

Andy activated his mic. "YOU WILL BE DEACTIVATED!"

"What? Who said-" Technus began in confusion as he looked down, seeing a boy who strangely resembled the ghost boy he was beating up.

The identical boy smiled as he picked up a wire that was near Technus's foot and plugged it into another wire.

"What do you think you are doing, boy?!" Technus demanded. "I WILL MAKE YOU COWER AT MY AWESOME TECHNOLOGICAL POWER!"

Technus felt his powers getting scrambled, and he was getting weaker. The computer head bounced around a bit, exposing the wires underneath. "WHAT IS HAPPENING!?"

Technus grinned as his PDA had the word 'SHUTDOWN' flashing on screen. "Portals XL is happening. Everybody knows the latest edition to Portals XL has a gigantic hole in its security system."

"And that's why most people who are smart don't use that software," Sam added.

Andy grumbled under his breath since he had intended to use that software before his computer got destroyed.

"WHAT?! NO!" Technus shouted as his systems began to go haywire.

Tucker grinned even more. "Time to shut down this robot suit nightmare!" He exclaimed as he hit the execute command for the shutdown.

Technus screamed as he felt his robotic body shutting down against his will.

Phantom grinned as the claw that was on him earlier let go. He grabbed onto the claw and flew at Technus. "Here, process this!"

Phantom wasted no time shoving the metallic claw through Technus's chest that had an insertion for discs. This caused a huge electrical outburst.

"THAT DOES NOT GO THERE!" Technus shouted before the electrical outburst finally overloaded his robotic systems and the mechanical monstrosity hunched over.

"Alright! Now we just…" Andy frowned. "Where the heck is Danny!? We could use his Fenton Thermos right now!"

"Don't worry, I got it!" Phantom called, holding out a Fenton Thermos.

"Wha?" Andy blinked, wondering when and where Phantom got that Fenton Thermos.

Phantom pointed the thermos at the now immobilized robot, taking off the cap before the thermos shot out the blue energy at the robot. The suction forced Technus's body out of the robot, and began sucking Technus himself into the thermos.

"NOOOOOOO!" Technus screamed as he was sucked into the thermos.

Phantom shut the Fenton Thermos with the cap, making sure it was secured. Once Technus was out of the robot, all the things that made the robot fell apart, with the computer constantly displaying the 'error' sign on it.

"And that's a wrap!" Tucker said as he saw the pile was now free of Technus's control.

"Yeah, nice work Tucker." Sam said with a smile.

"Hey, don't thank me. Thank the lousy software of Portals XL." Tucker grinned as he held up the disc.

"That was definitely unexpected," Andy said, relieved it was over, his voice couldn't survive another roar. "When was Technus taking over all these machines?"

"Probably some point when Dash's party started, like how that shaver came close to shaving your head," Phantom guessed.

Andy sighed. "I guess we should've looked into that as soon as possible rather than going to crash some party."

"But it's not like you could've known this would happen, and we all did work hard to make sure that prank went off without a hitch…" Sam said softly.

Andy then remembered something, or rather, someone. "Agunimon! Is he okay?"

A groan was their response as the group turned to face Agunimon. Agunimon was finally regaining consciousness as that ring that was showing around his body faded back into his torso.

"Ugh… What hit me…?" He groaned out as he shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs from his brain.

Everyone hurried over to Agunimon.

"Hey… are you okay?" Tucker asked.

"You took quite a beating from Technus," Sam softly said.

"You had us worried," Andy remarked.

"Yeah… what was that ring thing that was around your torso?" Phantom asked in concern.

Agunimon blinked in confusion. "Ring thing? What are you talking about? I didn't see anything like that. I mean, I just woke up."

Nobody but Phantom really had a good look at the ring that had surrounded Agunimon earlier, and Phantom couldn't really tell what that ring was. He just knew it looked similar to the ribbons that usually cocooned Takuya whenever he spirit evolved or reverted back to human.

"Well, you seem to be okay now," Andy said. "How do you feel? Anything out of place? Broken? Can you stand up?"

Agunimon moved around a bit, feeling everything was in place. He didn't feel any pain either, so there were no broken bones. Slowly, Agunimon got to his feet, and he was able to stand just fine. "Yeah… I'm fine…" He said at last, despite feeling a bit dizzy.

"Maybe it was just a one time thing?" Sam questioned.

"I doubt it… but I guess we won't know unless it happens again," Andy shrugged.

"We should… uh… you guys should head home and get some rest," Phantom suggested. "I'll make sure there's no other ghostly machines flying around."

"Yeah, we probably should." Sam agreed. "After that epic prank and then a ghost fight, I feel like I could sleep for a week."

"School is going to be rough on Monday though," Tucker sighed.

"We'll worry about that later," Andy said. "My voice might go out if I have to use it any longer."

Andy looked at Phantom. "Um… could you send Danny home too? He seems to be… lost, I guess."

"O-oh! I… will be sure to do that." Phantom said, trying to hide his nervousness. "No problem there."

"Great, just try not to scare him, he seems to be uneasy around you," Andy said tiredly. "Agunimon, make sure you… walk back to where you live safely."

Agunimon nodded, feeling tired as well, maybe even more so than the others. "Yeah… good idea." He said, feeling like he wanted to keel over right then and there, he was that tired.

With that said, Tucker, Sam, and Andy went one way while Phantom and Agunimon split up. Agunimon went to find a secluded place to revert, while Phantom did the same. Once both of them were human again, they hurried to catch up with the group. Takuya felt a lot better after he reverted, though he was definitely feeling tired. Tucker and Sam were confused about where Takuya had been, and Andy and Takuya were confused about where Danny had been. Both of them just sheepishly said they were scattered when Technus attacked.

"Let's just get back to our homes." Sam sighed. "All of us could use a break."

They all agreed with Sam.

When Monday rolled around, Tucker, Sam, Danny, Andy, and Takuya met up in the hallway. They couldn't help but notice some eyes on them. Some were in awe, others were in seething anger.

"Well… looks like our little prank got out, good, that was what we wanted," Andy said.

"Yeah, but is that good or bad?" Danny asked, not sure as to which it was.

"I guess we'll see," Tucker said. "It won't be long until we start feeling the effects of what we have done. Though I have it recorded, so I think it's totally worth it."

"We could use the recording as blackmail if we wanted." Sam grinned.

"Nah. That's a bit much, Sam." Takuya pointed out before he grinned himself. "Although that was the most fun I've had since coming back here~"

"Hopefully it won't be the last fun you'll have here," Andy chuckled.

"Yeah, but as for the damages, Andy and I had to return the dragon costume so we could refund everyone's money," Danny sighed. "And I do still feel bad about how I treated you guys when I was letting the popularity go to my head. I should know what it's like to feel invisible after all, at least to our peers."

"Well, at least Aunt Maddie and Uncle Jack were understanding about the refunding of the money, especially how the junk had been contaminated with ectoplasm." Takuya said.

Danny smiled. "Yeah, and we learned a few lessons from this. One, never sell stuff that was contaminated with ectoplasm."

"Two, be careful not to let power and popularity go to your head," Andy added. "And to remember who your real friends are."

"What's the third lesson?" Sam asked.

"And third, don't forget to pull epic pranks." Takuya said jokingly.

As if on cue, when Dash opened up his locker, a bunch of teddy bears fell out of it.

Andy stared at the teddy bears. "Was… Dash's locker a portal to hell?"

Takuya grinned. "Nope~" He snickered. "I may have found a teddy-bear collection in his closet…"

"Ah… so his closet is a portal to hell," Andy said.

"Why do you say that?" Takuya asked.

"Andy has a fear of teddy bears," Sam explained.

"Let's just say it involved an incident with Jazz and Bearbert," Danny vaguely stated. "But hey, one person's trash is another person's revenge."

Takuya couldn't help but wonder what went on with Andy and Bearbert, but he decided not to pry, instead just laughing at Danny's last comment.

Titanic X: ZAFT: No Gundam references here sadly… We already had the robot form planned to be like the canon… ^^'

DarkFoxKit: Sorry, if I was a Gundam or Transformer fan, I probably would've thought of another form for Technus here.

Son Sandy: DarkFoxKit: Heh, I'm glad that you're enjoying Andy as he is, and how he's the only one between his brother and cousin without powers. And yeah, I'm pretty excited about his evolution too. XP

ZAFT: Keep reading and you will see how Andy 'evolves' so to speak. XD

Guest: DarkFoxKit: You expected Andy's ghost form to be blue since Danny's is green? Danny isn't green. ^^' Unless you meant his eyes, that's the only thing green on his ghost form. If you are talking about their eyes, then yeah, I didn't want Andy's eyes to be blue. I thought purple looked better, but purple does come from blue, so there's that. As for the water elemental power, truth be told, it took me a while to figure out what elemental power to give to Andy.

ZAFT: I think, since Danny's eyes became green in his ghost form, the guest means And's eyes turn blue to be a reverse of Danny's eyes. That would have been kinda cool and funny, but sadly, that isn't what happened.

DarkFoxKit: Maybe don't word it like that since it was my decision to not make the eyes blue. I did think about the whole reverse thing before I made Andy's ghost form, but I felt it was too on the nose. They're twins, not clones, nor should they be an inverse of each other. I wanted Andy to look identical to Danny, but also have his own thing.

ZAFT: Well, that makes sense.

Ed: ZAFT: Thank you! We plan to keep them smarter than canon for sure. XD

DarkFoxKit: To be a little more descriptive, my thoughts on the matter is that I think Jack and Maddie should be better parents. I didn't want them to be too much like their bumbling cartoon selves, I wanted them to be more relatable to real people who love their children, but also have a passion for their work.

CT7567Rules: ZAFT: Star Wars fan, eh? Well, I can't deny Technus would've probably controlled one of those things. ^^' And destroying Andy's models was kinda cruel, but what can you do? XD As for the party thing, you will have to see~ :3 Let's just say the twins will have a roaring time. XD

DarkFoxKit: Once again, to be a little more descriptive, I'll put my thoughts on the matter. I always thought it was funny that Technus didn't think about taking over the world until Danny told him not to take over the world. So I wanted to keep that part in. Thankfully Technus isn't… clever enough to think to take over something like an Assault Class mech, or he'd be a lot more dangerous.

The whole thing with Andy's models was a 'spur of the moment' thing actually. I know Danny usually had things like the Dumpty Humpty posters and CDs, as well as things related to space. But I hadn't thought about what Andy would have on his side of the room. The animal models was something I came up with at the last minute since I know Andy likes animals, but thinking back on it now, I wished I made them something like Pokemon plushies that we nerds like to collect, or rare limited edition video game consoles. I did start to change the animal models to mangas and such later on because I felt the animal models were a bit too weird for a teenage boy to be collecting. Then again, it is Andy, I can make him collect whatever I want. XP

I think you saw what happened when Danny and Andy went to Dash's party. As for Dash himself staying as the same bully as in canon or if he'll change, that remains to be seen.

Heh, hope you had a good Halloween too~
