When Your Friend Panics.

"Zack? Could you please calm down out there? I can hear you stomping around!" Aerith called from behind the bathroom door.

"I can't help it! I'm freaking out! What if it doesn't work!? What if...oooh...noodles Aerith!" Zack wailed as he walked around their bedroom in frantic circles, with his fingers tugging at his long black hair.

Aerith giggled and the door swung open, Zack whirled around so fast he nearly crashed into the wall.

Aerith laughed at her husband as he hurried over to her, his long black hair messy and pointing out in every direction.

"What does it say!?"

There was a soft knock at Cloud's office door, usually Cloud would answer it if he wasn't to stacked with paperwork and phone calls, and everyone in the house knew this rule.

Nobody bothered Cloud while he was working.

Those words raced through Zack's head as he stood behind Cloud's office door.

"He's going to be mad...but...oh hell! This is an emergency!" Zack nearly shouted to himself before kicking open the door, instead of lightly pushing it or twisting the knob open like a normal person would.

"CLOUD!"

Cloud whirled around in his office chair, his brows furrowed in impatience and irritation. He was in the middle of a phone call with someone, and apparently it was important, but not as important as Zack's news.

"Cloud! Dude, I have to tell you something extremely important! Like...now!"

Cloud shook his head and pointed to the phone with his free hand.

But Zack wouldn't take no for an answer, as quick as a wink, Zack snatched the phone out from Cloud's hand and hung it up throwing it onto his desk.

"What the hell, Zack!?" Cloud snarled, glaring at his friend. "That was a very important phone call!"

"You can call them back later! Right now...your friend...your BEST friend has something very important to tell you!"

Cloud sighed. "I don't care how many freckles you have on your arm's, Zack."

"What!? NO! Dude...like this is...more important then the important stuff on my important list in my important brain that makes the entire world important! That puts important in important!"

"What?" Cloud asked, completely baffled.

Zack grabbed Cloud's shoulders tightly and shook him furiously.

"AERITH...IS...PREGNANT!" Zack screamed, even though Cloud was right in front of him.

The blond's eyes widened. "She's what?"

Zack rolled his eyes and let go of his friends shoulder.

"Aw, come on man! You know! Pregnant? With child? Expecting!? Carrying a little baby!?"

"No, no! I know what pregnancy is!"Cloud replied impatiently. "I'm just shocked at the news."

"AND I'M NOT!?" Zack shouted, causing Cloud to rub his ears. He was starting to be as loud as Barret.

"No, I didn't say that...I-"

"WHAT DO I DO!? I'VE NEVER BEEN A DAD BEFORE!" Zack cut Cloud off, shocking him because he has never seen his friend so overwhelmed before.

"Like...what if the baby doesn't like me? Or...what if the baby is a girl and not a boy? Or a boy and not a girl!? Or if I can't think of a name, or I'm home alone with he or she and don't know what to do to get he or she to stop crying!?" Zack ranted.

Cloud couldn't fight off a smile.

"Zack, you're going to be fine."

"What!? Man, how can you say that!?"

"Because, I see the way you are with Marlene and Denzel, and how gentle and loving you are with Aerith. Trust me, you're going to make a great father, and you know that we're here with you every step of the way!"

Zack smiled, and folded his arms across his chest.

"You know, you might be right...thanks, Pal."

"Anytime."

Zack grinned. "You think Aerith will have a boy? And that he'll be just like me!?"

Cloud laughed. "The world does NOT have room for two Zack Fairs!"

Both men laughed, because they both knew that was a lie.

"Zaaaack!? Ready to go shopping!?" Aerith asked poking her head into the room.

Cloud smirked at his friend. "Hope you've been saving your gil."

Zack forced out a laugh.

"Uh...hehe...of course!"
