Nap Time!
It was a LONG day. Not just for Cloud, his family too.
He had just plopped down on the couch as he heard the door swing open, Tifa was home with the kids.
"Hi Cloud, how was work?" Tifa asked him as she walked by the room carrying a bag full of groceries in her arms. She knew that she didn't need an answer to her question, she already knew.
"Long." he mumbled his eyelids closing slowly. He couldn't keep fighting with them to stay open, he's been doing that all day.
Marlene entered the room holding her ballet slippers in her hands, still dressed in her pink leotard and tutu. Denzel was at her heels, they both looked exhausted.
Looks like Cloud's had a long day too, Marlene." Denzel replied as he followed his sister over to the couch to join Cloud, both children made themselves comfortable on each side of Cloud, nearly sandwiching him.
Cloud was silent but he slowly put his arms around both children, he was starting to get better with human contact.
The three of them were silent for a while, but then Denzel broke it.
"Marlene had softball and dance today! I went to my friend's house then Tifa got me and Marlene to help with a few errands! I'm really tired!" He exclaimed as his eyelids started to close.
Marlene yawned and snuggled into Cloud's warm chest, even if he wasn't big on cuddling he sure was good at it, especially with the mako surging through him, always making him warm.
"Alright everyone, it's either beef stew or mushroom ravioli?" Tifa announced as she walked into the living room, smiling when she saw the sight of a sleeping Cloud centered between two sleeping children.
"Well...I guess tonight's my choice!" Tifa said to herself with a grin as she made her way back into the kitchen to decide for herself what she wanted to make for her sleepy family.
