A/N: Holy smokes! It's been forever since I've last updated! I apologize :( Thank you all sooo very much for your support! :D This one-shot came to me as I was having a sleepover with my friends, we were all talking and watching Advent Children (In Japanese!) and then they gave me this crazy idea!

~Don't Sass Me~

It wasn't unusual for Cloud to be grumpy in the mornings.

It was actually quite typical. Since he could never sleep much anymore, after everything he's been through.

Everyone could tell by a simple glance at the blonde-haired swordsman, and could tell right away, and then they'd make sure to be out of Cloud's way. Even Yuffie! Things could get ugly when Cloud was in his moods, so it was best to stay away.

Cloud slept in this morning, since it was his day off. He had a rough nights sleep as usual.

It was almost seven once he's set foot down at the bar where Tifa was preparing breakfast for the kids, the sweet scent of fresh pastries lingered through out the bar, making Cloud's stomach rumble.

Denzel and Marlene were sitting at the bar, all ready dressed for school.

They were chatting away and drinking their mango juice, that they couldn't get enough of lately. They had school in about an hour, Tifa always got them up an hour earlier so they had time to relax and get ready in the morning, not that they were already early risers in the first place since they were six and five.

Tifa looked up from the oven once she heard Cloud's heavy footsteps enter the room.

"Morning, sleepy head!" She greeted him with a warm smile. "You're just in time for breakfast!"

"Humph." Cloud grumbled, making his way behind the bar to get himself a cup of coffee.

Tifa raised a brow. "What was that?" She set down a tray of freshly baked muffins.

Marlene and Denzel stopped their conversation and looked over at Cloud.

"Uh oh...Cloud's grumpy again!" Marlene whispered to Denzel who just nodded in response.

"You heard me." Cloud replied, reaching over her head to open the cabinet door above her where all the coffee mugs where, giving her the perfect timing to shove a muffin right in his mouth.

Cloud's eyes went as wide as plates from Tifa's sudden reaction.

The children thought that was the funniest thing in the world. Even Tifa was having a hard time fighting off a smile.

After a few moments, Cloud gently took the muffin out from his mouth and looked down at Tifa.

"What was that for?"

Tifa smiled and folded her arms across her chest.

"For sassing me." She replied casually, as if they were discussing the weather. "There will be none of that in this house, and you seem to be doing that often, Cloud Strife. Am I right?"

Cloud's cheeks turned a light pink, he lowered his head, reminding the kids of a puppy who has just disappointed his owner.

"Yeah...Sorry..."

Tifa smiled and placed a couple of muffins on a plate to serve to Marlene and Denzel. "You're forgiven. Now go and sit down and eat the rest of your muffin, I'll get you your coffee!"

Cloud nodded and obediently took a seat besides Denzel at the bar, slowly nibbling on his muffin.

"That's okay, Cloud. Tifa only yells at us because she loves us! Especially you!" Denzel said, smiling at Cloud.

That only made Cloud blush harder, and Tifa to giggle.
