Chapter 5: A Bright and Golden Dawn
Jaune was amazed to say the least, when Yuno took him inside from what he had explained his military base he couldn't but help be in awe at how beautiful and grand the base is. To Jaune the base reminded him a bit of when he was inside the Schnee Manor during his time in Atlas, but this base it's most likely bigger then even the Schnee Manor. But another thing that also got Jaune thinking was about earlier when Yuno asked him was he using wind magic. That shouldn't be possible because as far as he knew based on what Ruby told him when they saw Ozpin and Salem's history through Jinn, the being inside the relic of knowledge only the maidens, Ozpin and Salem can use magic. Since the gods had wiped out the first wave of humanity that can use magic and the current wave only has access to aura and if you were a huntsmen you can unlock your semblance.
But from the way Yuno told him a bit, using magic was almost like a every day thing to him and other people around him, not to mention when Jaune saw Yuno using his power to save him, he knew deep down he wasn't using a semblance or wind dust. Jaune doesn't know where he is but he has a feeling that he is not at Remnant anymore. Yuno then lead Jaune in a large room and in front of the two was some stairs and behind the stairs was a large window that has the picture of the sun.
"Ok then since we're here is your captain?" Jaune asked Yuno.
Jaune would get his answer as he saw two people coming down the stairs and when they did it didn't take long for them to noticed Jaune and Yuno. One of them was a boy he was wearing the same uniform that Yuno and that other guy was wearing. He was shorter then Jaune and Yuno, he had thick brown wavy hair that is swept up at the back but left to fall over his forehead at the front he has blue eyes and he has a bit of a neutral yet pleasant look on his face. From what Jaune could tell this guy looked to be about his age or year older. But Jaune could tell that this guy radiates confidence and for some reason Jaune can sense how strong he was and not to mention Yuno as well he felt how strong he was when they was traveling to the base he doesn't really know why though.
Jaune then looked over to the man next to the boy he was a bit taller then the boy, he looked to be about Yuno height. He was wearing the same uniform Yuno and the other boy was wearing. He had short blond hair but his face it was heavily scarred but despite that even Jaune knew that the man was quite handsome. Jaune can tell the man radiates warmth and kindness he knew somehow he could somehow trust him with his powers. Not to mention Jaune could tell that this man was powerful way more powerful then Yuno and the boy. Yuno then knelt down and the man merely smiled at Yuno.
"Ah Yuno you're back earlier from your training then I expected, and may I ask who is this young man you have with you?" the man said.
"Apologies, captain Vangeance this is Jaune, right when I was about to start training he suddenly appeared straight out of the sky and I saved him" Yuno explained to his captain.
"He could be a spy, sir if so I would be happy to get rid of him" the boy said causing Jaune to flinch a bit.
"Now ,now Langris lets not jump to the conclusions lets here this young man out" William Vangeance said to his vice captain.
William then looked at Jaune and gave him a friendly smile "now then Yuno said your name was Jaune correct?" the captain asked the young huntsman.
"Oh, ah yes sir" Jaune said as he rubbed his head.
"I was actually about to go out for a walk, Jaune would you mind joining me we can discuss your situation as we walk" William said as he was making his way down the stairs and Langris was following him down the stairs.
"Of course I don't mind that at all" Jaune said he really was a friendly guy not to mention welcoming he the exact opposite of Ironwood in Jaune opinion.
"Yuno, Langris you don't mind if you joined Jaune and I during our walk?" William asked his two subordinates.
"Of course not sir" Langris said.
"No, not at all sir" Yuno said.
"Excellent shall we proceed gentlemen" William said after Yuno Jaune and Langris nodded the four of them had begun to take a walk around outside their base and it was then that William had begun questioning Jaune.
"So Jaune I can tell you must be a warrior of some kind due to the sword and the armor and not to mention you have a lot of potential, so can you brief me about where your from and maybe your current situation" William said to the young huntsman in training.
Jaune looked at William and noticed the kind and welcoming look he was giving him, his presence alone says that Jaune can trust him with anything it also helps that he can sense how strong William is.
"Sure...it's a bit of a long story captain Vangeance I actually don't know where to start" Jaune said as he sighed a bit.
"It's alright Jaune just try to relax, gather yourself and explain everything as best as you can" William advised Jaune.
Jaune closed his eyes and took a deep breath he then clinched his fist as he opened his eyes "Ok here goes..." Jaune said.
Jaune had explained everything to William, Yuno and Langris about everything he been through and has happened to him in this past two years, from his time during at Beacon with his team, to the vytal festival to when Beacon fell and with Pyhrra death...He also told them about Cinder, Salem, Ozpin the relics everything about the war and he also told them about what happened in Atlas with Salem and Ironwood and how he had to kill Penny which he choked up talking about that, so that Cinder wouldn't steal the maiden powers and how he fell through the void and he ended up here.
Yuno was a bit shocked once he heard Jaune story before regaining his composer and Langris widen his eyes surprised and a bit in disbelief in Jaune story. William however could only look over at Jaune with sadness in his eyes.
"Jaune,,, I'm so sorry it seems that you and your friends are going through a difficult time but at the same time I do admire not just you and your friends but this Ozpin fellow to keep fighting despite the odds against you" William said.
"Despite his story sir I never heard of Vale nor Atlas before and not to mention that it seems like where he comes from they don't use any magic anymore" Langris said.
"Then it's most likely that Jaune could come from another world" Yuno said.
"Another world...yeah that's probably the case since I never heard of the Clover Kingdom before the known Kingdoms in Remnant are Vale, Atlas, Vacuo and Mistral" Jaune said.
"But you said Atlas is destroyed right?" Yuno asked.
"Yeah and we have managed to evacuate the people of Atlas using the staff of creation power, my friends should be in Vacuo right now god I hope they are alright, not to mention Ruby and the others" Jaune said as the four of them stopped.
"Well Jaune if I were to assume if your here in our world then that would mean that the rest of your friends are here as well" William said causing Jaune to gasp in excitement.
"Really you think that my friends are here!" Jaune said.
"That's the only logical conclusion I have at the moment...tell me Jaune what are you going to do now?" William asked as he looked at the boy.
"I..I want to find the rest of my friends first and hopefully try to find a way back home so I can help the others in Vacuo because there is no doubt Salem is going to attack it next" Jaune said.
"That's all well and good but I wonder what can you even do with your strength" Langris said.
"What" Jaune said.
"From what you said Salem, has two relics and not to mention both of the kingdoms fell in your world and she is probably making plans to invade Vacuo it's only a matter of time until your world is doom, how can you possibly do anything when your not that strong to begin with" Langris said.
Jaune wanted to yell at Langris but stopped himself as he clinched and grit his teeth in frustration even then he looked at Langris and gave him a determined look.
"You're right...I'm not strong enough I fooled everyone to get into Beacon even though I wasn't ready, I couldn't save Pyhrra because I was too weak and helpless and I couldn't even do anything to save Penny...but that doesn't mean I'm going to give up I am going to do whatever it takes to get stronger so that I can protect my friends and stop Cinder and Salem once and for all. Because I know that I'm better then who I use to be and maybe what I am now. Besides this what a huntsman is suppose to be about helping people and saving everyone" Jaune said.
Langris could only stare at Jaune before smirking a bit "good grief looks like we got another interesting one among us".
Yuno couldn't help but smile at Jaune at his determination in helping his friends and his world in way Jaune reminded him of a certain loud mouth friend, rival and brother.
"Well spoken Jaune you arriving here brings us to interesting times we are preparing for an upcoming threat here in our world, but your situation can not be ignored I will promise you that I will do everything in my power to help you return home as a magic knight captain" William said as he did the magic knight gesture.
Jaune smiled as he had tears in his eyes, everything looked hopeless once he arrived here but he was glad that he found people in Yuno and William.
"Thank you so much captain Vangeance that really means a lot" Jaune said as he rubbed his eyes.
"Think nothing of it Jaune I'm willing to help a person a need especially one with such potential as you not to mention you have a large amount of mana around you" William said.
"What mana, wait is that what's used to use magic but I don't have any mana or magic" Jaune said.
"You actually do Jaune, were you able to sense the amount mana myself the vice captain and the captain had?" Yuno calmly said.
"Now that you mentioned it I did are you saying I would be able to use magic here!" Jaune yelled.
"Yes that's exactly right Jaune however we don't know what type of magic you will have, you need to receive a grimiore for us to know what magic you can really use" William said.
"A grimiore you mean those books that you guys carry around with you" Jaune said.
"Yes, exactly Yuno and Langris can brief you about a Grimiore later on, for now I need to see lord Julius and explain your circumstances no doubt he would be excited about you coming from another world" William said as he chuckled a bit.
"Umm so who is this lord Julius if you don't mind me asking?" Jaune said.
"Wow you must be really are from another world if you don't know who the wizard king is" Langris said.
"He's the leader and head of all of the magic knight squads and he also is the one that assigns us missions and gives us promotions based on our ranks as well" William said.
"So he's basically the head of your military then so there more magic knight squads?" Jaune said.
"Yes, their are nine magic knight squads including our own the golden dawn and their are other magic knight captains including myself" William said.
"Wow that's actually pretty amazing" Jaune said if their are other captains like William then they all must be pretty strong Jaune was in awe just thinking about that.
"Now then I think it's about time I head to magic knight headquaters and explain this situation to lord Julius, Langris if you please" William said to his vice captain.
"Of course captain Vangeance" Langris said as he went and created a spatial portal to magic knight HQ.
"Woah what kind of magic is that?" Jaune said.
"Spatial magic I can pretty much manipulate space as I command and I'm the best spatial magic user in the clover kingdom, you be wise to remember that well" Langris said as he smirked a bit.
"Yuno, I will entrust Jaune to you, please answer and assist him in anyway you can and show him where he could stay and sleep at for the time being" William said to the wielder of the four leaf grimiore.
"Understood sir" Yuno simply said after that William and Langris then went inside the portal that lead to magic knight HQ and once the two went inside the portal then disappeared leaving Jaune and Yuno by themsleves at the moment.
"Jaune" Yuno said causing Jaune to turn and look at Yuno.
"What's up Yuno?" Jaune said.
"I just want you to know that I'm willing to help you against this Salem woman and especially against Cinder scum who only hurts others for their own adjustment deserves to be put down once and for all" Yuno said as Jaune noticed the fiery determination Yuno had and he meant every word. It's been rough after what happened at Atlas with Ironwood betraying them, Atlas itself being destroyed and not to mention Salem has two relics now. The odds are not in their favor right now but Jaune he could see it, with these guys that maybe with their help they can turn their war with Salem around and managed to stop her once and for all and save their world.
Jaune smiled "thanks Yuno that means a lot coming from you, lets get stronger together and stop Salem and Cinder once and for all" Jaune then held his hand out to Yuno.
Yuno looked at Jaune's hand a bit but then he smiled a bit and he took his hand and shook it.
"Well then I guess that makes us friends and comrades in arms" Jaune said.
"I guess so" Yuno said honestly he liked Jaune a lot he reminds Yuno of so much of Asta that if the two met they would get along automatically
"Awesome" Jaune said as him and Yuno took their hands away from each other.
"I'm going to show you where your going to stay at for the time being lets get going" Yuno said as he was about to show Jaune where he would stay.
"Sure hey Yuno I was wondering you seem pretty strong I was wondering maybe we can train together sometime" Jaune said to the wind magic user.
Yuno thought about it in reality he prefer to train by himself but then he noticed Jaune sword which he sheathed despite it being broken. Jaune was a swordsman so he must be pretty good at using a sword. Yuno was thinking Jaune could be a great training partner and also give him some pointers on how to use a sword whenever he uses his sprit of zephyr spell.
"Sure I don't mind at all" Yuno said.
"Awesome, alright then lead the way Yuno" Jaune said.
Bel then appeared in front of Jaune "you better not get in Yuno's way blondie!"
"Bel" Yuno said.
"Sorry Yuno, you know I'm just looking out for you" Bel said to her master.
Jaune laughed and rubbed his head still not use to the presence of the wind sprit even though he fights monsters for a living.
After that moment Yuno and Jaune were heading straight to the sleeping quarters where the male members of the golden dawn was staying at meanwhile at the same time we go to to Elysia. Blake slowly opened her eyes and once she did she held her head a bit in and grunted in pain.
"What's going on...where am I" Blake said as she sat up she then looked around and saw that Neo was sitting right beside her but Blake saw that the woman was tied up in a...light like rope and she had an angry look on her face.
"Neo!" Blake said once she saw Neo.
"So you're finally awake" Blake turned to the direction of the voice and she looked and saw four figures looking at her.
One was a man who looked to be in his mid 20's he had messy black hair with streaks of white hair as well, he was wearing white robes and he has a tattoo on the left side of his and he looks like he was carrying a book strapped across his slash. Another one was a teen he looked to be about a couple of years younger then her he has short blonde hair and has a strange tattoo across his nose and he has sharp teeth as well. Another one was a girl she looked to be around the same age as the other teen she was wearing a white dress and she was also wearing a brown rope like belt that was tied around her dress and she had a slash that also carried a book as well not to mention she also had markings across her forehead. The last one he had long blonde haired that was tied into a pony tail he was wearing a white cloak along with a long white shirt and pants, he was also wearing a red slash around his waist as well.
But what was odd to Blake was that his sclera on his left black, and like the others he has some weird tattoos on his forehead and on the side of his realized that all of them had pointy ears and she thought they were faunus but she could tell that these people weren't faunus but they weren't really human as well.
"Just what's going on here, where am I and who are these people" Blake said as she looked at Patolli, Phya, Fana and Vetto who are the current remaining elves that are among the living right now.
A/N: Yeah it's been awhile sorry about that been busy working on my other stories here, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter with Jaune reaction being in the black clover world and being with the golden dawn.
