Chapter 7: Captains Meeting
Julius was surprised to say the least, the current wizard king who was now a thirteen year boy due to having to use the stored up time he had for thirteen years to keep himself alive after Patoli critically wounded him during their battle, didn't expect this at all. Julius was currently doing some paperwork and as he was doing his work he looked up and saw Yami, William and Nozel entered his office. Julius had asked the three captains was their something wrong, but the three men had told Julius that they all had something that they wish to discuss with him about.
Julius understood but he knew since this situation was serious, the other captains would need to hear about it as well so Julius had summoned the other captains and it wasn't long until all of the captains were present inside of Julius office and they were all seated across a long table.
"So lord Julius what was the reason you called us here?" Fuegoleon asked as he looked at Julius.
"I called the rest of the captains here because Yami, William and Nozel had something important they wanted to discuss with me, but I felt it was something the rest of the captains needed to hear" Julius replied.
"Really well then this better be worth our time then do you hear me, Yami" Jack said to his rival.
"Yeah, yeah put a shock in it you crazy mantis anyway this story might be almost as crazy when we had to fight against the elves and fighting that devil" Yami said.
Yami then explained about how Asta and Noelle found Ruby near their base and took her and explaining about her story about how she from another world, and her history and having to fight against Salem in order to save her world and about how she fell through the void in the first place and the captains expect for William and Nozel were shocked to say the least.
"So let me get this straight, your saying that some girl fell from the sky and she from another world where they have no magic and are fighting a woman who is thousands of years old and is one of the last remaining humans that can use magic and is immortal due to a curse by the gods of their world" Jack said.
"Not only that but these relics that the god of light created to give Ozpin or Ozma the mission to stop Salem and redeem humanity in their world and if they fail to do that then their world is doomed" Fuegoleon said.
"That's quite the situation it's almost hard to believe but then again most of us were possessed by the elves" Charlotte said as she remembers when Charla took over her body, and had to keep herself from blushing when she remembers Yami holding on to her after Charla left her body.
"So, Ruby is with you Yami what about you Nozel who do you have?" Dorothy said as she poked Nozel's arm.
"I have Weiss, she currently at the silver eagles headquarters" Nozel replied.
"I also have Jaune, he is currently at the golden dawn headquarters" William said.
"So that leaves us with Yang, Blake that Neo woman right, any suggestions on where those two can be?" Rill asked as he waved his paint brush around a bit.
"There is a good chance the three of them could be somewhere outside of the clover kingdom I can contact my sister to see if she seen any of the two girls" Fuegoleon said.
"Indeed especially that Neo girl if she was allied with this Salem then she could possibly become a threat to us" Kaiser calmly said.
"As much fun as other worlds and finding out a that some witch can't die, what does it have to do with us?" Jack said.
"Are you suggesting we don't help these people Jack, don't you realize they are possibly stuck in our world and have no means on getting back to their world, their home" Fuegoleon said.
"We have our own problems, aren't we suppose to look for some clues about the devils and not to mention we are still recovering from the elf incident" Jack replied.
"As much as I hate to admit it, Jack is correct we can't waste too much time helping these people not when our kingdom could be attacked at any moment, since we are in a weaken state right now" Charlotte said.
"Still though we can't just turn our backs on them, they need our help especially with what's going on with their fight with Salem" Rill said.
"That's right as magic knights it is our duty to help everyone in need regardless of who they are and where they from besides I do wonder what type of magic those maidens, Salem and Ozma have in that other world I wish could go over there and see them!" Julius said in a excited like tone.
"Hey man baby, would you quit drooling and tell us what we need to do regarding the situation Red and the others are in right now" Yami said.
"Oh right, sorry I got carried away there hehehe" Julius said as he rubbed the back of his head before continuing addressing the magic knight captains in the room.
"Tomorrow I would like to meet the others that are in your care Yami, William and Nozel and have them explain things from their point view, and also for as long as they are in our world they would be in your care however, while we try to find a way to send them back home we can't allow them to leave without getting any stronger" Julius said as he smiled a bit.
"What exactly are you implying?" Nozel asked the wizard king.
"I want you to train our guest, prepare them and have them get stronger so that they will be able to match and overwhelm Salem and her forces" Julius said.
"Oh that's pretty interesting, but how do we know if they can use magic?" Dorothy asked.
"Since they are in our world it's possible for their bodies to adjust and be able to use mana, which in turn will allow them to be able to use magic, if they do you should probably have them go to a grimoire tower for them to get their grimoire" Julius said.
"Are you also saying that we should allow these people into our ranks as well?" Nozel asked.
"Well that is up for you to decide, in any case I believe this pretty much wraps up this meeting if possible everyone here should search for some clues their could be maybe a spatial magic spell that can travel between worlds, anyway with that said everyone here is dismissed" Julius said.
After that everybody left leaving Julius alone in his office and the wizard king couldn't help but smiled and said "well it seems like things are getting more interesting here in the clover kingdom I can't wait to see what our guest are like tomorrow" Julius said.
Meanwhile back at the black bulls hideout Ruby was currently facing off against Luck who had an excited look on his face while the rest of the black bulls were watching.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Ruby?" Noelle asked the silver eyed girl.
"Don't worry Noelle I'll be fine it's like I told you guys before I need to see what how you guys use magic compared to Ozpin, Salem, and the maidens not only that I need to get stronger and figure out some ways on how to counter Cinder and Salem" Ruby said.
"Alright if you say so just try to be careful, Ruby" Noelle said.
"Don't worry Noelle, Ruby going to be just fine I can tell she pretty strong and she has to be if her job is to basically kill monsters for a living" Asta said having full confidence in Ruby's abilities.
After Asta was saying that he heard a few more people walking and he turned and saw Zora and Grey walking up towards everybody and Asta saw Secre who was flying in her bird form as she landed on top of Asta's head.
"So what's going on around here who the chick?" Zora asked.
"Oh, hey guys I forgot you guys weren't here when we found Ruby uh it's kind of a long story but I can give you the short version as we watch her and Luck duke it out" Asta said.
Zora raised his eyebrow a bit in confusion but he merely turned his head to the direction where Ruby and Luck was.
"D-do y-you think s-she going to be alright Luck is pretty strong" Gray said as she covered her face a bit.
"I wouldn't count Ruby out just yet she might have a couple of tricks up her sleeve, plus I am curious to see how she fights" Vanessa said.
Alright Luck you ready for this this?" Ruby said as she smiled at Luck.
"Of course I'm pretty excited to fight you Ruby, I can tell we're going to have a lot of fun together" Luck said.
Ruby almost had to keep herself from blushing a bit at Luck's statement "r-right same here" Ruby said she quickly shook her head trying to refocus on the upcoming fight. She then grabbed crescent rose from behind her and made the weapon transform into it's scythe form and she swirled it round until she rested it over her shoulder.
"Ok, I'll admit that was pretty cool" Magna said.
"Yeah I mean we saw her weapon before but that was pretty cool on how it can like change into different weapons for her to fight in!" Asta said as he had stars in his eyes.
"Heh this going to be so much fun" Luck said as his grimoire appeared in front of him and created some boots and claw like gloves that were made from his lightning magic and also he had some pointed lighting like ears on top of his head.
"Lightning Creation Magic: Thunder God's Boots and Gloves" Luck said.
"So he can create some gloves and boots made out of lightning?" Ruby thought as she saw Luck.
"So that means Luck can use lightning magic, which means he must be pretty fast and that book that floating I wonder if it contains all sorts of moves for him to use, regardless I need to be on my toes" Ruby said.
It wasn't long after that Luck dashed at Ruby leaving behind a trail of lightning "he's fast" Ruby said as she narrowed her eyes. Luck then took a swipe at Ruby and as he did that Ruby had burst into petal using her semblance causing Luck's attack to go through her.
"What the" Luck thought as he quickly slid and turned and he saw Ruby put herself back together she then wasted little time and quickly twirl and did multiple swings at Luck but the blonde was able to duck and dodge the swings, he then saw that Ruby was swinging down at his legs and Luck quickly flip back to dodge the attack and he jumped up in the air and aimed both of gloves right at Ruby.
Luck then fired multiple lightning bullet shots shots at Ruby and Ruby put Crescent Rose in front of her and twirled it around blocking the attack, Ruby then looked and saw that Luck was gone.
"Where did he go" Ruby said "right here" Ruby looked to her right and before she could react Luck kicked her to the side knocking her a couple of slowly got up and she looked up in the air and saw Luck as he flipped in the air and he was about to deliver an axe quick at Ruby. But Ruby once again used her semblance to dodge the attack causing Luck to kick the ground creating a large crater.
Luck which his mana sensory was able to sense Ruby mana and he quickly turned around and backflip away from Ruby's slash attack but Ruby managed to cut a little bit of Luck's hair in the process. Ruby then quickly ran at Luck again and as she got close to him she dash and went to Luck's right and went for another slash but Luck quickly swiped at Ruby causing their attacks to clash and for Ruby to be knocked back a bit. Luck then took advantage and slashed at Ruby causing the girl to yell a bit in pain as she was knock back to the ground and her aura was glowing on and all which signaled she would be running out of aura soon.
"Man this pretty fun Ruby, your pretty fast almost as fast me, and the way you turned into rose petals just now, you sure you wasn't using magic?" Luck asked.
"Luck does bring up a good point, it looked like Ruby was using magic but we all can tell that it wasn't" Noelle said.
"But remember in Ruby's world nobody can use magic anymore since their gods wiped out the first wave of humanity that can use magic, and since they left they developed another source of power" Vanessa said.
"No" Ruby said as she got up and panted a "I was using my semblance basically it's a power that huntsmen and huntress can use from their own aura and aura is the manifestation from one soul and we basically use our aura to defend ourselves or use for attacks" Ruby explained.
"Wow that's so cool so your basically using your soul as a weapon to fight that's pretty cool!" Asta said.
"Wow you know if the wizard king were here no doubt he would ask Ruby all sorts of questions" Noelle said.
Secre was also thinking that if Luimere was around he would probably wonder how Ruby's abilities would work as well, she must admit Ruby does interest her a little bit
"Wow you get more interested by the minute Ruby I guess more then just having pretty eyes but I wonder how come your not using your magic?" Luck asked confusing Ruby.
"Uh, what?" Ruby asked as she had a confuse look on her face.
"As we were fighting, I could sense your magic power with my mana sensory, so you should be able to use magic" Luck said.
"Wait, are you telling me I can use magic!" Ruby said shocked at the revelation.
"I guess since your in our world, your body must be starting to absorb and take in mana" Noelle said.
"Ruby try closing your eyes and concentrate you should be able to feel and sense the mana and magic everywhere and you should also feel the mana you have inside of you" Vanessa said as she instructed Ruby.
"Aww but I want to fight Ruby some more" Luck said.
"You can fight her again some other time, you battle freak right now this is more important" Magna said as Luck deactivated his spell.
Ruby sighed and closed her eyes and when she did she could feel something different within her and not only that but she can sense the magic from everybody else around her and she then opened her eyes again.
"Well, Ruby what happened?" Noelle asked her friend but Ruby smiled.
"This is so cool! I can actually do magic awesome I can use magic like Ozpin and the maidens awesome I wonder what kind of magic I have?" Ruby said as she said that it wasn't long until a spatial portal opened up and Yami and Finral emerged from the portal and they then looked at the group.
"Uh ok can any of you idiots tell me what the hell is going on around here?" Yami asked.
A couple of hours later it was night time and Ruby was currently sitting at a round table with the rest of the black bulls and during those couple of hours Ruby had gotten to know some more members she hadn't seen previously like Zora, Charmy, Gray, Gordon and Secre who they call her by her nickname Nero and Secre told Ruby she doesn't care too much if she called her by either name.
Now that Ruby had gotten to know all of the Black Bulls, its like what she said before they maybe a little weird but they were good people overall.
"Wait some of my friends are here!" Ruby excitingly said.
"Yeah apparently some of them appeared and landed in some of the bases of the other squads, so you don't have to worry about them Red they're in safe hands" Yami said.
Ruby smiled and teared up "I'm glad I sometimes thought that maybe I was the only one who made it to this world alive, I'm happy to know that they're alright" Ruby said as she wiped some tears from her eyes.
"Hey it's ok Ruby the important thing is that you and your friends are alive and well" Asta said as he smiled at Ruby.
Ruby smiled at the anti magic boy "yeah your right thanks Asta, so captain Yami did the wizard king said anything else or who was with the other squads?" Ruby asked.
"Let's see I believed that some girl name Weiss was with the silver eagles and a dude name Jaune was with the golden dawn" Yami said.
Ruby frowned a bit she didn't expect for Jaune and Weiss to fall into the void as well, if that's the case then that mean they couldn't stop Cinder and get the relics back from her. Now that means that Salem is half way into getting all of the relics and that means she one step closer into destroying Remnant she really need to get back home as soon as possible. But on the plus side Ruby was glad that Weiss and Jaune were alright, now she just need to find out where Blake and Yang were and not to mention Neo is still out there somewhere.
"Listen...Ruby we might be out of our depth here but were going to do everything we can to get you and the rest of friends home it could take some time however that doesn't mean you should sit around here and do nothing" Yami said as he took a puff from his cigarette.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"Well until we find a way to send you back home, you're pretty much are sticking with us and we are going to train you up and get stronger since you can pretty much use magic now, can you imagine the look on woman Cinder face when she sees you use magic, that would be sight to see hahaha" Yami said.
"Really you're going to train me, thank you guys so much I really appreciate it" Ruby said as she let out a huge smile.
"Of course red after all you are one of us after all" Yami said.
"Wait what do you mean?" Ruby asked, after she said that Yami threw something and Ruby caught it and she looked, and saw that it was a black bull robe.
"As of right now your a member of the black bulls, I hope you can fit in with my group of misfits" Yami said as he smiled at Ruby.
"Awesome, Ruby your part of our squad we're going to have a lot of fun together!" Asta said as he wrapped his arm around Ruby.
"Not to mention we get to fight against each other but I wouldn't mind fighting with you too" Luck said as he pooped up next to Ruby.
"Plus I get to make you all kinds of delicious food, for you Ruby" Charmy said as she stuff Ruby with more food.
"As long as you think my little sister Marie is the most sweetest thing in the world, I don't care if your a member or not" Gauche said.
"I don't have a problem with you joining, but remember that I'm the senior here got it" Zora said.
"I don't mind having another girl in the squad, but don't worry Ruby big sis Vanessa will have your back" Vanessa said.
"Hey having another cute-no Finral your heart belongs to Finesse anyway it's great to have you with us Ruby" Finral said.
Secre just nodded at Ruby and she then transformed into her bird form and she flew and landed on top of Ruby's head.
"I get to have another new friend" Gordon said but Ruby couldn't really understand him that much.
"I-I'm happy to have you in our squad, Ruby" Grey said as she had her hands over face.
"I'm always up and ready to help another member out if you need help, I got you" Magna said.
"I aammm haaappy you're here, Ruuuby" Henry said.
"Well, I guess as a royal I guess it's my duty to not only help not only a fellow squadmate out but also a new friend as well" Noelle said as she smiled at Ruby.
Ruby was really taken aback she only knew these guys for almost a day and yet they already accepted her as one their own, she didn't know what to say, after what has happened with what happened at Atlas Ruby has started to loose hope and things were seeing grim and that Salem is going to win and destroy remnant. But the black bulls they reignited the hope and determination she had. Now that she has magic she feels like soon she will have the strength to protect everybody and defeat Salem once and for all.
"Everyone thank you, I appreciate everything you guys are doing for my friends and I, I promise that I'm going to work hard and master my magic power and be the best magic knight I can be as a member of the Black Bulls" Ruby said as she had a determined look on her face.
"That's the sprit Red, first things first tomorrow we need to get you a grimoire" Yami said.
"A grimoire" Ruby then remember during her fight with Luck he usually had a book in front of him.
"You mean those books that all of you usually carry?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, basically grimoires allows us to cast some powerful spells that we wouldn't be able to do on our own it also greatly enhances our magic power as well" Noelle said
"Wow that's pretty awesome, you know I think my friend Blake would love something like that" Ruby said.
"Yeah but we can worry about you getting a grimoire until tomorrow for now lets celebrate the new member of the Black Bulls!" Yami said.
"Yeah!" all the members of the Black Bulls cheered loudly and it wasn't long until everybody was eating laughing, drinking and having a good time. For Ruby it's almost been sometime since she was able to laugh and have fun like this it almost reminds her of her time at beacon. At first she didn't know what the future would be after what happened in Atlas but after being with the Black Bulls and arriving in this world. Ruby now believes she has a chance, a chance to to defeat Salem and Cinder once and for all and to have a better future for herself and Remnant in general.
A/N: Hey guys how everybody doing I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, and Ruby and Luck's mini battle with each other and Ruby being pretty much a member of the Black Bulls. I think the next couple of chapters I think will probably cover everyone getting to know what their magic would be and have them train so they can master their magic power. Also slight spoiler a certain somebody is also going to have their aura unlock who that is well you will see soon. Next chapter I'm going to cover maybe everybody and see their reaction to Julius decision most likely so yeah look out for that as well.
