The end of June was coming near and Ylisse was in a buzz. The royal wedding was coming closer and closer by the day and the entire city was in a festive mood. Merchants from all around came by quickly to get a spot in the shopping district so they could sell goods. Bakers getting pastries and desserts ready in case the Royal couple would stop by to taste and possibly request them to be made. But the most exciting part was the bridal shops getting the latest dresses ready for the future Queen.

Of course, not all wedding planning goes smoothly. Royal weddings have to be planned months to make sure everything goes smoothly. Not to also mention knights have to be trained and prepare to guard the city should anyone foolish enough try to ruin the day. Then there was the most stressful of all, the wedding dress. Sophia knew Robin wasn't a fan of such a thing and the poor woman looked so tired from the amount of paperwork that had to be done and wedding planning. Not to also mention nobles that were now trying to curry her favor after speaking so ill about her when they learned she is of Plegia descent.

As of now, Sophia was doing paperwork in Robin's office as the future Queen was fully concentrated on getting her work done. Sophia sat at her desk with her glasses on, writing down her signature as well as reviewing the reports that came in before handing them to Robin. The first report was from Sully and Kellam, who have been keeping track of the villages that have cattle and protecting them from the invasive species of Mogballs. Again, another report from the sea harbor from Stahl, Lon'qu, and Cordelia, Bonewalkers and Balors attacking sailors and if it wasn't for a female dark knight cutting them down, there would be more casualties. Next, there was the County of Themis. Alm and Lucina just left without saying goodbye to Themis and have been working since then there. There were able to fix the mines and such but also because of the conversion she had with Alm a week ago. But that will a story for a different time. Severa, Owain and Inigo followed the two.

"Robin." Sophia said and the white-haired woman looked up from her work, "Today is your bridal dress appointment." Robin sighed as she removed her glasses.

"My apologies if I sound tried." She rubbed her eyes gently, "It hasn't been easy because of the nobles that have been coming in. Many are trying to request favors from me because Chrom shuts them down. And when I do the same, they speak behind my back. Sigh..." she sighed as she picked up a document, "At least we have some good news."

She handed a report to Sophia about the wheat fields on the north side of House Gaspard's Territory.

"The harvest this year looks promising along with the grape harvest of the Vilon Winery. Thankfully there have been very few reports of monster attacks but we are still keeping an eye on the borders. Sigh...but just good news comes, there are also the unfortunate ones." Robin muttered as Sophia continued reading.

"Bodies of Valm citizens have washed up on the shores...Sigh...Have they been given a proper burial?" Sophia asked and Robin nodded.

"Martha was the one that handled the arrangements and Lysithea was the one who gave The Prayer of the Love and Strength to them. Sigh...What on earth is going on? Have you seen the documents regarding the negotiations with Plegai?" Sophia quickly looked through the drawer and picked up the document that was marked with Plegia.

"Let's see...Since Plegia lost the war, many of the citizens have worked together to restore the city. Ohh...That part is my fault." Sophia chuckled nervously as she thought back to the time she activated at the Dragon Vein, "But..." she smiled softly, "I'm glad something good came out of my time as a prisoner. The land is healing and the desert won't be a desert for so long. In about 20 or 30 years, it will be a land of trees again." She said and Robin smiled softly at her.

"Trade has been going well. And with both lands recovering, relationships have improved. Of course, xenophobia and fascism do not end in one day or in generations to come. It will never end but the least we can do is create a world where people feel safe." Robin said and looked back to Sophia.

"However, what I am worried about is the ruling power. Plegai recently has a new king and so many of the demands...have recently given me a bad feeling." She said and Sophia flipped through a page.

"Trade with Themis Territory for Magic Crystals? And trade for umbral and wootz steel? As well as...okay this one makes me raise an eyebrow." Sophia said as she looked at the demand, "Trade for...Gillias? Isn't that the native flower of Ylisse?" Robin nodded.

Gillias.

It is a red-colored flower with a blue center, a green stem with heart-shaped leave, and the seed look like small little pearls. It isn't a legendary flower but it is a common one known in the fairy tales of Archanea. It is said that The Fairy King Oberon, used the flower to propose to his Titania. Titania is not a person, but a title given to the one that loves and accepts Oberon for who they are and what they are. The flower symbolizes Oberon's love for his Titania.

Of course, faeries live in this world so it wouldn't surprise Sophia that at some point in time, there was an Oberon and Titania in Archanea. Not to also mention, Archanea has their variant of Willian Shakeshpeer and his stories. A Summer's Night Dream is super popular among teenagers along with Romeo and Juliet among the nobles. But enough of that. Gillias is a normal flower but is very popular among men and women when they wish to propose to someone. The tradition of Ylisse is, for them to bend on one knee, confess their love to their lover, kiss the flower and offer it to the one they propose to. If the lover says yes, they accept the flower and the man/woman places it on their hair, and kiss under the starry sky. As cheesy as it sounds, Sophia was a sucker for things like that

"Have there been any records of the flowers being used for another purpose?" Sophia asked and Robin shook her head.

"Not that I know of. I do know they use them for weddings and young girls' dry them to make bookmarks as symbols of good luck charms. But that is about it." Robin said and Sophia pondered for a bit.

"Flowers...it isn't just that flower. Glaze lilies, lantern flowers, and celicas...along with Flame and Mist Fruits. Sakura Blossoms, magic crystals, and other supplies commonly used in magic and alchemy..." Sophia muttered and looked back to the paper, "Hmmm...for right now the demands don't seem too much. And I know you and Chrom want to make peace with Plegia."

"What are your thoughts?" Robin asked and Sophia looked at her a bit surprised.

"You're asking for my judgment on this?" Robin nodded and Sophia sighed, "As long as the terms are fair as well as the trading contract doesn't have anything shady and we read through, I think these are fine." She said.

The situation doesn't help that it is most likely that Grima is the King of Plegia. So much has happened these past few months. Back in March, it made it officially a year that she has arrived. She's now fully adjusted to her new life but there are times where things just surprise her.

"They will be sending an envoy in December as a sign of peace. For who they are, I do not know. But from what I've heard, it seems he has been the one in charge of managing the land that you're restored. Positive news about them." Robin said as she gently put her papers in a stack.

"Hmm...We'll see." Sophia said as both stood up, "Well, we should head out to the bridal shop."

"I was going to ask Sumia and Cordelia to come with us but both have been busy lately. Anna is currently working with the merchants on getting the decorations." Robin said and Sophia thought for a moment.

"Say...How do you feel about bringing..."

[—]

Hilda, Dorothea, Annette, Marianne, Liliana, and Seele's eyes sparkled like children receiving candy as they stood before Robin, who smiled warmly at them. Robin wore her regular clothing as did Sophia and the girls were told to dress casually. Sophia herself has her appointment for her fitting but that will be for another time.

"If you want fashion advice, I think these girls are the best." Sophia smiled softly, "Other than just adults, I think you need a breather. So, I asked the girls to help plan out a relaxing day for you. And of course, Yune begged to help out." Said girl popped out from behind her with a massive grin.

"It's an honor!" They squealed and Robin chuckled softly, "We swear you will enjoy this!"

"Girls, you didn't have to." Robin smiled sadly and Sophia shook her head.

"I had Frederick arrange something for Chrom." She said and Robin nodded.

It took a while to convince the stubbornness of a rock man but she pulled her most effective weapon against him. Yune and Morgan. Frederick thought it was a dirty trick but the man had a difficult time saying no to those two as they kept bring up the couple's lack of sleep, concentration, as well as Chrom trying to escape his paperwork. And if that didn't work, both pulled the puppy dog eyes on him, which made him sigh in defeat. Of course, Frederick glared at Sophia after the kids left but asked her what she thought would be good for Chrom to relax.

"Why don't you and the boys go for horse rides in the forest or hunt? Like a camping trip."

"Huh...That's not a bad idea."

"Since when are my ideas bad?"

"Since the day you said you want to cut someone's tongue off."

"...Seriously?"

"I swear...that man is going to be the end of me." Sophia thought as the girls went on ahead, "Yet I'm not annoyed. I enjoy his company even if he is a stubborn mule." She smiled a bit as they arrived at the first shop.

Hilda had good taste when it came to anything related to relaxing. And Dorothea had a talent for advice as well as...

"Ah." Sophia thought as she realized Dorothea led them to a store that was hidden and began to show lingerie to Robin, who was turning red.

Poor Annette, Marianne, and Liliana were turning crimson while Sophia just covered Yune's eyes for her. Sophia had Yune wait outside but the girl had other ideas.

"Miss Robin, look!" Robin turned and screamed when she saw the outfit that the girl was holding out to her, "I'm sure Mister Chrom will love it."

Dorothea and Seele began howling when she saw the lingerie Yune chose as Hilda was using Liliana as support to keep herself from laughing to the ground while Marianne, Annette, and Sophia were floored. Black satin bra with red and silver lace. The parts of the breast had ribbons that could be untied to open the silk. Next, the undergarments had red ribbons and were connected to black tights, with a devil tail on the back. It was the horniest of all lingerie and it just made Sophia question what the hell her future self taught her daughter.

"Oh!" Yune also held up a small pink bottle with a chipper smile, "I also found this bottle of rose honey cream. Perfect to make you and Mister Chrom relax when you two consummate your marriage." And Hilda, Seele, and Dorothea were slamming their fist down on the tables howling in laughter as Yune handed the items to the future Queen.

"Oh, naughty. Naughty." The old woman of the shop giggled mischievously and smiled like a fox, "This old fox sees the young ones are well informed these days. Ho, Ho, ho. And Lady Robin, she made an excellent choice. Not too long ago Miss Sumia and Lady Cordelia were here to buy some erotic books. I shall give one for free as a congratulation." The old woman began to look through her shelf.

"N-No! It's alright! And Yune!" Robin gave the girl a glare but the girl just smiled, "How was your date with Morgan?" And the smile the girl had completely dropped.

"I'm a mother but too earlier for already having a son-in-law!" Sophia thought as she heard her daughter stuttering.

"Ma'am, we'll buy them."

Nice and pretty the old woman packed the products and Robin quickly hid them in her magic purse as they exited the shop. There was no denying that they existed the shop like a group of giggling school girls. Yune puffed out her cheeks and was thinking of a way to get Robin back. For now, the girls entered the spa Hilda set up for them. A nice massage, facial exfoliation. Of course, Sophia knew it would not be fair if only Robin got the treatment. The female Shepards have done so much for everyone she also set up appointments for them at different times. The one she set up for them was the hot springs near the magic academy. She could already imagine them in bliss. That will be this group's final destination. She's pretty sure Anna is getting things set up.

- The forest of House Lowell Territory -

Pack!

The sound of a boar unleashing its final squeal was heard through the forest as it fell to the ground with a loud thump. An arrow pierced through the heart to make it an instant kill. A deep breath Chrom let go as he put his bow down and the cold gaze he had returned to normal.

"And that's number 3." The prince chuckled as he looked over to Viron, who had to admit, was impressed.

"I must say, Lord Chrom, I am very impressed you hit your target at such a distance." Viron nodded his head, "It's a shame I must beat that record." And he quickly shot his arrow into the air, striking down a goose that flew by.

"Show off." Chrom smirked while Derick shook his head along with Felix and Frederick, "But in all seriousness, thank you all for this day. I think Robin and I needed it." He smiled softly at them.

Kellam, Stahl, Ricken, Lon'qu, Libra, Gremore, and Henry were up to head of the group because they wanted to set up the cottage. Henry because he can't stand mosquitoes.

"Thank you, Frederick. He's the one that came up with the idea." Vaike grinned as he walked past Chrom to get the boar and goose.

"Should I say it was Sophia?" Frederick thought and then recalled the smile Sophia gave him.

"Not a word about me. Okay...Freddy Bear?"

"That woman! How dare she use the children against me like that?!" He thought and he could hear her from a mile away going, "Oooohohohoho~" with a smug smile, not to also mention that ridiculous nickname.

"Frederick, are you alright?" The knight looked over to Derick, who had a raised eyebrow at him, "You look dazed."

"I'm alright. Just...somethings on my mind." Frederick said as he gently tugged the reins of his horse to follow Chrom.

The Exalt, Viron, and Vaike were up ahead talking to each other while those that usually didn't talk a lot were in the back. Derick looked over to Felix who just shook his head but Derick did it anyway.

"So..." Derick whispered in a hushed tone, "I heard from a little birdy (Morgan) that you and Sophia have been getting along well. So, spill it! I'm a damn dragon and I can smell when human senses go haywire for someone they like!" He smirked and Felix gave him a hard smack on the back of the head.

"Ignore the fool knight." Felix huffed as the man rubbed his head, "But in all seriousness, have you decided who you will take to the dance?"

"...No I have not," Frederick muttered and Derick thought for a moment.

"Well, I'm taking my wife (Tharja). Felix is taking his wife (Lysithea) as well. I know Vaike is going with Mirel. Pretty much all the Shepards have partners except you, Viron, and Kellam. Heck, even Morgan has a partner and he's younger than you." Derick snickered and for some reason, Frederick felt a bit angry hearing Yune was going with Morgan.

Not that didn't he trusted the boy but well...the pair can be, disastrous at times. Both good and bad ways. Perhaps because he had grown fond of the child is why he feels somewhat protective.

"Well hope you find some because Viron plans to ask Sophia." Derick said and Frederick went silent, "Would it kill you just to ask her? She doesn't realize it but I think she does like you." The knight raised an eyebrow at him.

"For once, I agree with the fool." Felix sighed, "But as you said before, it is best to build your relationship first foremost. I take it you've come to understand her a bit better after working with her for...a few weeks now." He said Frederick nodded.

"Working habits...It's like I'm looking at Robin with a combination of Martha." Derick burst out laughing while the others turned to give the group funny looks.

"That's her alright! Man, you should have seen her when she would study dark magic with that tutor of hers! The man had to take the book from her hand and throw it away to make take a rest!" Derick laughed, "Speaking of our ladies, I planned a surprise for my sweet wife. Making her favorite dish always makes things better. But I noticed she's been eating a lot of that lavender melon lately. Eh, I'll see what dessert I can cook up for her." He said and Felix made a face but chose not to say anything.

"Lysithea has been excited about the wedding menus. It's one of the main reasons why you see her with flour all over her face these days." Felix chuckled.

"Is that why you smell like cinnamon these days?"

SMACK!

"Come on! It was a compliment!" Derrick rubbed his head while Felix scowled him.

"It's best we stop for now." Frederick sighed and his horse suddenly made an angry snort, "Bucky?" He looked up and saw the group ahead had also stopped at the hill, looking down with wide eyes.

"Something happened." Felix noticed the snarl that left Derricks's lips, his eyes turning to slits, some scales appeared on his cheeks.

"This scent...This bloody...scent..." Derrick growled, his voice a mixture of human and something inhuman, his horse began to panic at the sudden change.

"Derick, calm yourself," Frederick said coldly, which seemed to make the man calm down a bit as they rode their horses to meet the others.

The sight that was before them, made them all have a feeling of dread come over them. Birds, deers, boars, and the stumps of trees only remained, all dead. Their skin, bark, bones, all grey and cracked like cement, as if one touch will cause them all to turn to ashes. For the horse's safety, they had them stay on the hills while they went down. Getting closer, they could see even the ground had been turned into some form like the surroundings. Vaike knelt and touched the ground, gathering some dust on his thumb. His eyes narrowed as he rubbed it between his thumb and index finger.

"It's charcoal ." He turned his head towards the group, "The ground been turned to charcoal." He picked up a stone and threw it at a deer corpse.

Upon impact, the corpse turned to dust. Derrick sniffed the air, and let out a low growl, gritting his teeth angrily as his hands twitched, his nails becoming sharper.

"It's been years since I've seen this..." He whispered as he knelt and looked down at what was once a seagull, "It didn't think I see this again here in Ylisse..."

"What has in the name of Naga happened here?" Chrom muttered as the others kept looking around, "Even the small river is gone."

"Should I send a messenger owl to call the others here?" Viron said and a dark chuckle was heard, making the group all turn to Derick.

"Don't bother..." Derick's nostrils flared as he tried to keep a calm voice, "This part of the land can not be saved. I speak from personal experience." He muttered picked up a withered flower, "The most we can do right now is to prevent it from infecting the other dragon veins."

"You know what happened here?" Chrom asked as the man walked up to the group.

"Somewhat..." Derrick pursed his lips, "I was a child when something like this happened on the island my people lived in. It—-COUGH!" He suddenly began coughing hard and fell to his knees.

"Derick! Derick!" He could hear his friend calling out to him as the chest pains increased as well as he was starting to feel his body feel cold.

The taste of copper invade his mouth, and his veins began to show on his neck and hands. The color of his scales was becoming murky. He felt someone quickly grab him and threw him over their shoulders.

The voices seem to become farther by the minute...

"How is he?"

A bead of sweat ran down Henry's cheek as he looked down to his friend who was put on the bed. His skin has turned pale as well as losing color in his eyes. The mage sighed as turned to them with a strained smile.

"He'll live. But based on his condition, he must have been in contact with Anti-Magic particles. Those are poisonous to non-humans." The mage said and held up a small bottle filled with green liquid, "Nothing like a bit of pure magic essence to fix it up. Give him two hours of sleep and he'll be the same as ever." He sighed and rubbed his eyes.

"Just when we have some peace and then hell breaks loose." Henry muttered as he rubbed his eyes, "Lord Chrom, I know it's everyone's day off but I think we should look into the matter."

"I agree-"

"AFTER YOUR BACHELOR PARTY"

At least four people could be heard smacking their faces in the background.

"I don't think throwing a party right now is the best idea," Chrom said and Henry chuckled.

"Don't worry. I meant after Derick gets his break. There's a reason Gauis and Vaike brought Sreng Wine and the strongest Mist and Fire Wines of Ferox." He grinned and half the group was cheering because that meant everyone was getting drunk tonight.

"Sigh...Alright." Chrom gave a defeated smile, "But if his condition gets worse, we're heading back to the city." Henry nodded and Chrom exited the room.

Today's events would be investigated in secret.

[—]

She leaves for one minute to get some drinks for everyone and the next thing she knows, she comes into the room in chaos. The hair cutter is hugging and rocking themselves in the corner. The makeup artist is passed out on the floor. The workers are scurrying in a panic all over the place while Robin sat completely stunned as she was looking at herself in the mirror. Yune...was nowhere to be found. Light pink sakura-colored hair no longer white as snow, wet from the water rinsed off. The red eyes matching Robin perfectly as the woman placed her hand on the mirror, memorized by the color of her hair.

"I am so sorry your highness!" The owner went to their knees along with staff, "We made an error and we—" and panic-filled every person in the salon when they saw Robin crying.

The future Queen remained frozen as faint images flashed before her eyes. They were memories filled with warm love and care. She gently touched her hair which was now pink and turned to look at Sophia.

"A-Are you alright? I can use magic to get rid of the dye if you want." Sophia said and Robin shook her head with a smile.

"I am happy. You see...my hair used by this color before it turned white." It was a bombshell that was dropped.

Robin chuckled at their expressions, "I am happy with this outcome even if it was an accident. Let's just call this a happy accident. Ehe~" she winked and everyone couldn't help but let go a sigh of relief.

The hairstylist and all the employees were all paid extra because of the heart attacks they all received, not to mention Sophia was ready to scold Yune when they get home because she had a pretty good idea that it was her that mixed up the colors. For now, the girls went to do some shopping while it was just her and Robin at the cafe to talk. Iced teas and ham sandwiches were ordered so they could eat and drink as they talk. Robin smiled softly at her as they began the conversation.

"I think the shock of seeing my hair pink again caused me to regain some of my memories." Robin began, "I remembered I used to travel with my mother all over Archanea. From Ferox to Ylisse, but we always avoided Plegai for some reason. I do know at some point we left Archanea altogether and lived in Valm. Why we returned to Archenea I do not know. But...I do know this." She gently touched her engagement ring and smiled, "I met Chrom when we were children."

"Then...does that mean you two are childhood friends?!" Sophia gasped and Robin chuckled.

"The most I remember is that we only knew each other for a week before my mother and I had to leave Ylisse. I didn't give him my real name at the time but I do remember giving him a bookmark I made from dried flowers. That's all I remember, unfortunately." She sighed and Sophia shook her head, grinning.

"I say it was a good thing. Even if you do not remember much, it's still something. You remembered something of your past! Though I am still scolding Yune for messing with the hair dyes she wasn't supposed to." She took a bit of her sandwich, "By the way, what was the name you told Chrom back then?"

Robin grinned as she gently tapped her head.

"Emi."

The next stop was the final one before they head off to the hot spring was the wedding dress parlor. House Gloucester was well known all over Archanea for their wedding dresses for brides and bridesmaids as well as tuxedoes for men. Their competitor was House Varley, whose head was a kind old woman by the name of Felicia Varley, who made wedding accessories and sometimes wedding dresses. House Lowell will be purchasing from both houses. House Varley is in charge of setting up the wedding decorations, and House Gloscour is in charge of the clothing for the wedding. So today's meeting was not just dress shopping, it was fitting. Today was the day. The dreaded day Robin was praying would never come. She swore she would jump out the window given the opportunity.

"And, what type of cloth would you like the dress made of?"

"Silk, satin, lace, organza, chiffon, we have it all~"

"Miss Robin, what perfume do you like? Sweet, florals, or elegant?"

"Lady Robin, hmmm...would she like pads to make your bosoms look bigger?"

"Oh! What about a silk veil with Glaze Lilies embroidery and low heels with a bit of sparkle to make them shine?"

"Lady Robin, you have an appointment with Miss Edelgard for the Queen Portrait tomorrow afternoon at the Royal Garden."

"Alright, everyone gives her some space." Sophia sighed as she came to the rescue, "Lady Robin appreciates you all but too much at once can be overwhelming. Now, she will take a break." She smiled and quickly made everyone get out of the dressing room.

"Thank you!" Robin ripped the prototype veil off her head, "I was this!" She pinched the air, "close to snapping! Ughh..." she slumped on her chair, "the life of a Royal...I'm still adjusting."

"It must have been quite a whiplash." Sophia said as she poured her a cup of iced lemon tea, "This is the boutique of Gloucester and I heard they especially go all out on those that are paying a lot of money." She chuckled as Robin groaned.

"The girls are out there looking for dresses that may suit your tastes. I was honestly surprised to see Lorenz here. I heard he works part-time here with his mother but I didn't think to be true." Sophia snorted and thought back to when they first entered the shop.

The look of shock and horror Lorenz had when he saw them and nearly fainting when he realized the future Queen of Ylisse had come to his family's shop for wedding dress shopping. The man sprang into action and like a professional, brought the books, suggestions, explained the types of fabrics there were and such. Along with price ranges, brands, and such. To say the least, it was funny seeing just how flabbergasted Hilda and Dorothea were when they listened to the man give good fashion advice.

"I caught Yune." Sophia said and Robin smirked, "Don't worry, I wasn't too hard on her."

"It's alright. But we should head to the other room. I believe Lorenz was going to show us the latest trending dresses for brides." Robin said and she quickly changed to her regular clothing before the headed back to the guest room.

The guest room was filled with mirrors and small stages for brides and bridesmaids to step on to try their dresses. Dressing rooms were two halls down along with rooms filled with a variety of dresses of different styles and brands. From the most beautiful style Ferox dresses to even those of Plegia and Valm. Some dresses designs were also inspired by other nations that once existed like Judargal, Elibe, Tellius, Nohr, Hoshido, Valla, and many more. She even spotted some Fodlan style wedding dresses somewhere in the back. But nothing prepared them for the dress that Lorenz pulled out when he said it was the latest fashion. As much as Sophia loved the dress designs of Fire Emblem, seeing them in real life was...

"Oh my god...It's horrid!"

Robin and Sophia both screamed when Lorenz presented the wedding dress while Hilda and Dorothea had turned green at the sight of it. The hoop skirt, along with the ruffles and feathers made it looked like a pile of floof. The sleeves were too puffy not to also mention the exaggerated embroidery of jewels, it was a living nightmare. The amount of time it would take to just put on the dress made them all think it was a nightmare.

"It looks like cheap cosplay." Yune chirped and everyone from the Gloucester Shop gasped, looking extremely offended.

"Kids are too damn honest..." Hilda sighed, "Lorenz, what is this living fashion disaster?"

"These are the traditional wedding dresses brides of Ylisse wear!" The boy huffed, "These are the latest dresses that have been made for this year!" The employees nodded in agreement.

"Okay, I think I'm going to have to pull out some of the old bridal magazines I still have in my suitcase." Sophia sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose, "Robin?"

"Please let me look at the dresses from your homeland." Robin pleaded and Lorenz, slumped, dejected.

"Lorenz, how about this?" Sophia quickly walked up to her student with a reassuring smile, "I have many bridal books with a variety of dress styles from foreign lands. If Robin likes a dress from one of those books, your shop will be in charge of making it. How does that sound?" She said and the young man looked at her with hopeful eyes.

"ON ONE CONDITION!" Hilda was the first to yell out, "House Gonriel would like to provide the fabrics and embroidery patterns!" Lorenz was more than happy to give her a thumbs up because House Goneril was well known for its jewelry making.

[—]

"So this is your dorm? I like it. It's very comfortable!" Robin grinned as she stepped inside the house.

The first thing in her sight was the living room, also known as the lounge. Sofas, giant bean bags, and a table set up with chairs, a few board games that they forgot to put away from last night remained there. There was a bookshelf filled with novels, a few that Sophia knew were hidden in the back because they were for adults. On one of the bean bags, Linhardt was fast asleep with a book on his face, and at the desk near the window, James and Ray were talking to each other in Feroxian.

"Hey, guys!" Yune chirped, making the twins jump, and looked scared but calmed down once they realized it was them...that was until they saw Robin, who just smiled and waved.

"Are the others here?" Seele asked and Ray spoke.

"Seigal is in the reading room. Lorenz is at his mom's shop. Aether said he was going to visit his parent's bakery today. Sleep head over there has been asleep all day. And we're studying for the test the Professor is having next month." Ray and his brother nodded.

"Your Majesty Robin, what brings you to the cave?" James said and the girls minus Robin, Sophia, and Yune, groaned.

"Can you stop calling the dorm a cave?!" Annette puffed her cheeks while Robin chuckled.

"It's alright. We're just here to look at some books Sophia wanted to show us." Seele said, "Anyway, now shoo! This is girls' talk!"

"Come on! Nothing with having a few guys around!" James whines and Sophia couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she walked past them, "Make yourself comfortable Robin. I'll go get the books." And she could hear the kids welcoming the woman to the place.

Though Annette and Liliana ran to the kitchen to get some snacks but...

BAM!

"GHAA! WHO PUT THIS STUPID BARREL HERE?!"

The fact that both of them slammed into it didn't help. Sophia had her cheeks puffed out as she desperately trying to hold back her laughter.

[—-]

Sophia's room was simple. Her desk and bed were near the window because she liked feeling sunlight. The walls were painted a light shade of blue and a chandelier that could be lit up with magic was on the ceiling. At least four bookshelves and selves were all filled with books and her belongings that she finally was able to unpack. Not also mention all the books she took (stole) from The Garden. A closet with a thin wooden door inside was all her clothing hanged. Her medical supplies were locked in her trunk along with her old personal belongings from her old world. It had been a while since she opened it. Inside the trunk was her old HP laptop along with its charger. Her Nintendo Switch along with 3ds and games. The one thing she noticed when she wanted to check the Fire Emblem games was that they had all turned to blank cards. No data in them at all. She saw the photo album that had been packed was there and smiled softly.

One day, she would show it to Yune. Her old phone was next to it, dead. She was honestly afraid to try and recharge because she didn't want to fry the battery. Still, her old electronics, at one point she knows she will take them apart to create magic tools. In there was also the jewelry box that she inherited from her grandmother. Her modern clothing was all also tucked away in here. The most she took out was an old BTS shirt that she forgot to give back to her cousin. Yune wears it because she likes the feeling of the cloth. She let go of a sigh as she finally found the old pile of magazines and took it. She placed them on her bed and sat down, picking the first one up which was a bridal magazine. She flipped through the pages, feeling the smoothness and the scent of ink hitting her nostrils brought back fond memories as she looked at the pictures all in color.

"Something modern..." she muttered as her eyes landed on a white dress that reminded her of a quinceanera, "Hm...I should do one for Yune. Be nice to bring a tradition from my old home to this world." She thought and stood up, picking up the books.

She wondered how the others were going to react.

[—-]

With a loud THUMP, Sophia dropped a stack of magazines on the table with a smug smirk on her face. Before she was brought (kidnapped) to the world of Awakening, she was in the process of moving. She was washed up to shore with her two suitcases filled with things she needed to take to her new apartment. Well, that was the plan back then. Now, she can finally put to use the old magazines she has had locked away in her trunk.

She watched Hilda, Seele, and Dorothea gobble up the books as if they were eye candy. Robin's eyes were sparkling as she was looking through the pages. From a mermaid style dress to that of a ball gown, even wedding dresses in colors of blue, red, and all of the rainbow, as well as the accessories that are to be worn with them. The twins grabbed the first magazine that caught their eyes, which was one of the tuxedos.

But what was fascinating to the group was just how realistic and colorful the thin paper books were. Yune had heard stories about books like these as a child but now being to touch and see them was something she enjoyed. Her mother, the future version of Sophia, wanted to show her, but she never had the chance. She took a deep breath and decided to continue to look through the books. On her right, the girls were just taken away by the beautiful designs they had never seen. Though they do admit, some of them were hideous.

"Professor..." Dorothea looked at Sophia with wide eyes, "how could you hide these holy grails of books?! Are these really from your homeland?!" She looked back to one specific page.

"Well, yes." Sophia said, "While my home does have its problems, one of the main things men and women looked forward to was when they would get married. Many dresses are inspired by a variety of things around the world. Is there anything that has caught your eyes, Robin?" She asked and the future Queen nodded with sparkles in her eyes.

"I-I don't know where to start." The future Queen gasped, "I have never seen picture books with such realistic images, almost as if the clothing was in front of me." Robin smiled, "There are so many designs and styles I had never seen before. This going to be difficult to choose." She said as she looked back to the books.

"Hey, these black suits look nice!" Ray held up a page, "What do you think this one?"

Robin couldn't help but squeal when she saw the color of the suite.

It was the same shade of blue as Chrom's hair with the buttons gold, along with a matching tye and one thing for sure.

"IT HAS NOT COLAR RUFFLES!" Robin screamed in joy, scaring the hell out Linhardt and making Siegal run out of the room with his sword out.

"Who screamed?! Are you under attack?!" His eyes were frantic but he stopped once he saw the others were just looking at books, "Ahh...Umm...My apologies." He made his sword disappear, "Um...continue."

"Siegal, why don't you join us?" Sophia smiled softly, "We're all looking at clothing for the wedding, why don't you take a look?"

"...Alright." The boy sighed and walked up, Annette handing him a magazine, "Umm...huh. I like that suite." He nodded as he sat down next to Liliana.

"I'm going back to sleep." Linhardt groans as he put the book back on his face, and quickly his light snoring was heard, but only gets woke up by Yune shaking him.

"Come on Big Brother Lin! You got to look at the books!" Yune grinned and the boy gave her a light glare, "I'll let you brow my book of one thousand illegal spells." She whispered and Linhardt got up real quick.

Sophia was going to pretend she didn't hear that. The group looked through the books for hours, at some point Lorenz and Aether arrived with food, and Annette had brought a sketchbook for them to write down ideas. To be honest, it was a moment for Robin that felt different from being with the Shepherds. The Shepard and this group all treated each other like old friends, even though she was soon to be Royal, they still welcomed her. Having regained some of her memories was an experience, one she would always treasure. As they spoke, Hilda drew up the wedding dressing dress design Robin had in mind, and with the help of the magazines Sophia let them borrow, the design came to life. Hours had passed and it was getting late. Aether politely asked to carry Yune to her room because he had fallen asleep, and Sophia nodded. Some of the others had fallen asleep on the couch while Hilda and Lorenz were discussing the dress along with the jewelry that would go with it.

"Hilda. Lorenz. You both did amazing. Thank you." Robin's lip quivers yet she was filled with joy when she looked at the drawing.

"It's not a problem Lady Robin. We of House Gloucester and House Goneril will make sure your dress is perfect for the wedding. If there any touches or modifications that need to be made, we will let you know." Lorenz smiled and Hilda grinned as Robin hugged them to thank them before they excused themselves to go to their rooms.

"Ah, I better get going. It is getting late." Robin said as they looked to put the window and saw nightfall had come a long time ago.

"I'll walk you," Sophia said and nodded.

The walk through the city at night was not as spooky as others make it. Lanterns were hanged on the poles and street lights were on. Some late-night stalls had opened and a few taverns their lights were on. The night in the city was calmer but still live in a way.

"Hmmm!" Robin stretched her arms, "It's been so long since I've had fun like this. Ah, I nearly forgot. You said we were heading to a hot spring." She said and Sophia nodded as they made a few more turns till finally, they arrived at the place.

The hot spring was in the magic district due to the magic needed to maintain the place. The shop had a cute cat on the desk while the lady greeted them. She gave them their robes and towels and instructed them what room to go to.

"I wanted to wait a bit before bringing you here. You know, adults only." Sophia chuckled as they went to change into their robes.

The hot spring looked just like a hot spring except the place was much bigger than expected. The giant springs filled with steaming water made anyone melt in bliss in pleasure once they submerged themselves in it. Some of the springs had herbal and floral waters that help those that had injuries recover or just wanted to relax. A giant magic crystal was at the center of the place, keeping the water at the perfect temperature. There were some extra shelves with lotions, oils, soaps, and such for anyone to us. People were also allowed to bring their own.

"This place is amazing." Sophia awed, "I been to the hot spring in Ferox but this a whole new level of luxury." She said they walked to the pool far at the end.

The mist and steam made it a little difficult to see but once they reached the pool, they were greeted by ladies.

"You made it!" Lissa grinned, her body wrapped in a towel, her hair loose and wet.

There were a few brave ones like Sully, Anna, Martha, and Panne that didn't wear any towels while the rest did. Lysithea was glaring at the majority of the woman even with half her head submerged in the water because Umm...cough! Chest size! Cough! Sophia sat next to Cordelia and Sumia since she hasn't had much time to talk to them. There were a few floating tables with bottles of wine and cups for everyone to drink and enjoy. But of course, everyone but Sophia and Robin screamed, "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?!" when they say the future Queen. Robin said she would explain it after they had something to drink.

"Hmmm! Nothing like a hot spring to help the stress go away!" Sully grinned as picked up a cup to serve herself, "So Robin, did you enjoy your day off?"

"I did. Thank you all for the lovely surprise." Robin smiled, "As for my hair, I'm happy it's pink. It used to be this color."

"Used to be?" Everyone said as the Queen nodded.

"Robin recently regained some memories of her past. One of them was that her hair used to be pink before it was white." Sophia explained as the others gathered around.

"Oh, that's lovely that you regained some of your memories!" Sumia clapped her hands together in joy, "Did you remember anything else? Possibly family, friends?"

"I recall my mother. Her name was Morgana, I inherited her pink hair. But..." Robin rubbed her temples, "There was someone else who traveled with us. I do not know who, unfortunately. The most I remember was my mother, we used to travel and..." she looked over to Lissa, "Do you recall a girl by the name of Emi?"

"Hmmmmm..." Lissa crossed her arms and thought for a moment before she gasped, "Yes! She was a pink-haired girl that Chrom wouldn't shut up about after she had to move away! Chrom said that she was snarky and hot-headed but that she was super fun to hang out with because of the illegal spells she would often practice in the woods!" She giggled at the memory and then noticed how red Robin turned, "...THAT WAS YOU?!" She screened.

Robin nodded shyly as a few of the women burst out laughing, "T-That means you and Chrom were childhood friends!"

"Oh my! Now, this is a development! Robin dear, we have to know the details!" Maribelle giggled mischievously and Sophia just listened as they chatted away.

"Speaking of love." Anna spoke up, gathering their attention, "Allow me to say something. Everyone gathered around here, this concerns you too, you know?" She grinned and already everyone was getting confused looks.

"Huh?"

"What...do you mean?"

"I have a bad feeling about this."

"I'm saying that there is something you all have to do if you want to help this country flourish." Anna winked.

"Something we must do...Do you mean to protect the public order for the sake of peace?" Cordelia asked, "Possibly help out merchants?" Sumia said.

"Or defeat Risen?" Lissa cocked her head, "Or stop the fighting?" Nowi chipped.

"Or cast curses?" Tharja muttered, "Or purify them?" Lysithea said.

"Hmmm...Takedown, bandits?" Sully scratched her cheek, "Get rid of useless man spawn?" Panne said and that earned a snort from a few.

"Hmmm...keeping morale up?" Olivia hummed, "Making sure our lands are running well?" Mirabelle said.

"Making sure our research is done on time?" Martha and Miriel said together.

"Making sure we get out work done?" Sophia and Robin said, Anna rolled her eyes.

"Incorrect!" Anna shook her hands, "Honestly, the majority of you, except a few, are eligible single women, so why are you playing innocent?" She huffed, "There's something more important, right?"

"I-I have no idea what you are talking about!" Lissa whined and Anna was slowly losing her patience.

"I'm saying! The head of this country and Robin are getting married soon. Doesn't it make you want to make you happy like that too?" She said and Sophia finally realized where this was going along with Robin and Sumia.

"Ylisse is pretty peaceful, so I think everyone is happy right now." Lissa said Sophia had to stop herself from saying, "Oh, you sweet summer child. That isn't what she means." Everyone else nodded in agreement with the princess.

"I am very happy right now," Tharja muttered with a small smile.

"I'M TALKING ABOUT GETTING MARRIED LIKE CHROM AND ROBIN!" Anna stood up, the water splashing everywhere she finally yelled out the words for them to understand.

"M-M-m-m-marriage?!" Lissa stuttered while Sophia spat out her drink with Sully.

Boy, was she glad that it was just the adults for tonight talking. Anna nodded as Tharja answered that she was happy the way she currently was and it wasn't something she was currently pursuing. But Miriel commented tha she thought that she and Derrick were engaged, which earned the mage a warning glare that if she didn't shut up, a hex would casted on her.

"That's a lie." All the others said and Tharja quickly submerged herself in the water.

"You and Big Brother Derrick have been pretty close lately." Nowi grinned and ran for her life as Tharja chased after her with a furious face.

"I mean, it makes sense! Getting married, having children, raising the next generation! It's the happiest way to contribute to the country's future!" Anna smiled and Sophia coughed.

"No offense, but I don't see myself getting married anytime soon. I'm not even seeing anyone." Sophia replied and Anna chuckled.

"But you have been close to someone, have you not?" Her smile had become coy, "For example," she wigged her eyebrows, "you have yet to return Frederick's shirt to him." Immediately all eyes were on her.

"Oh? Frederick?! Interesting choice!" Martha said, "But good luck! He's dense as a mule! But I think you might have a chance~" She sang because Frederick had won Yune over without him even knowing it.

"Marriage, I wonder what it's like?" Lissa whispered along with Lysithea.

"I want to have a happy marriage too!" Nowi cheered, which earned her a few funny looks.

"Right, right! Isn't there anyone you've fallen in love with?! Or maybe seeing?! This is the perfect chance to confess your feelings! You should ride the waves of happiness enveloping this country and become happy yourselves!" Anna said and all of the single women began thinking to themselves.

"Hmmm..." Sophia hummed, "Someone I may have feelings for...someone that makes me feel..." why the hell did Frederick come to her mind?! "Anna, I hate you."

"Ah-Ah-Ah! Looks like we have our first victim!" Anna quickly swam over to her, " Be honest! What does Frederick make you feel like?"

"Umm...Well...it's complicated." Sophia rubbed the back of her neck, "I mean, we did first meet back in Ferox but our second meeting was during the war. I almost got killed by him." The girls were all looking at her with blank faces, " Yes his appearance, personality, and intelligence leave nothing to be desired but..."

"He's too perfect...at everything?" Tharja grumbled, "EXACTLY!" Sophia said.

"And Frederick's mind is always on Chrom." Nowi pouted and Martha was muttering a string of curses at the ceiling, most likely towards her cousin.

"Gauis is taken by Sumia! Felix by Lysithea! Derrick by Tharja. Henry by Olivia and Lon'qu by Cordelia! Lastly, Chrom by Robin!" Anna announced, "Oh, difficult."

"And Libra."

They all whipped around to look at Panne. The taguel only did a small smirk as she washed. Marriage has never been on Sophia's mind but ever since she learned that Yune was her daughter, she always did wonder if her future self ever did find love. Her present self, she was scared. What if she was betrayed? Why would anyone want to be with her? She knows her heart is still partly closed off. Friendships she will form but a romantic relationship...?

"Oh. Someone is panicking~" Robin's voice ripped her out of her thoughts, "Reminding me, do you all have partners for the wedding?" Everyone raised their hands except Anna and Sophia.

"My hubby is on his way." Anna huffed, "His name is Jake. He's been working in Plegia for a while. Recently recruited a few new ones. He should be arriving next week with his gang." She grinned and Sophia just submerged herself in water.

"Wait, Martha! Who are you going with?!" Lissa said and the woman only smiled.

"I will be going with Ethan." Everyone just nodded in agreement.

"So that just leaves Sophia." All the females turned to look at the woman, who just submerged herself deeper, "Will you at least think about it?" Robin said and Sophia sighed, nodding.

"Well, enough about the marriage talk!" Sully picked up one of the wine bottles, "Tonight we're celebrating Robin's marriage! Sreng Wine! Ferox Fire Techila and Mist Gin are all here! To the future!"

"CHEEEERRRSS!"

A blissful night it was.

[—]

"Hmmm..." Sophia groaned as she sat up and looked around, remembering that she was in one of the hot spring rooms, Robin was asleep next to her, Sully was sleeping on the floor next to the door.

Sumia and Cordelia were curled up together in one of the futons, with Lysithea in the middle. Tharja was sleeping next to Mirabelle and Martha, while she managed to see Anna was asleep in the bathtub of the bathroom with Miriel. Panne refused to drink so pretty much she was the sober one of the group and was awake. Nowi disappeared somewhere. Sophia let go of a sigh as she put on her robe and walked over it the balcony where the taguel sat on the rail, enjoying the breeze of the morning.

"Good morning." Sophia said and the woman hummed as she stood next to her, "Listen, I want to apologize for…um...what your witnessed last night." She chuckled nervously and Panne smiled a bit.

"I've seen worse man-spawn. Alcohol is poisonous to us creatures of the supernaturals, like kitsune, Laguz, Wolfskin, and such. But what can work for us taguel as our version of alcohol is cranberry juice." She chuckled softly, "But in all seriousness, you seem to be hesitating in finding a mate."

"Oh?" Sophia raised an eyebrow, "What makes you say that?"

"To the others, it's not obvious but I can easily smell your scent all over the little spawn. She is your biological daughter." Sophia was glad she wasn't drinking, "There is another scent but I won't say who. You should figure it out yourself man spawn." Panne muttered.

"Panne...I'm afraid. That's all I will say." Sophia muttered as she intertwined her hands together and rested her forehead on them as she bent a bit, "I'm afraid to be betrayed. I'm afraid to be abandoned. I'm afraid...That the joy and peace I have now will be taken away. My entire life was like as I grew up...I'm just afraid I will lose everything again." She whispered but the taguel heard it all.

Panne let go of a sigh as she looked up to the sky, seeing the sun make its first peaks on the horizon.

"Taking the first step is always the hardest."
