Hey Guys! I decided to do something fun with the Golden Week chapter by making it a series of One-shots with no specific order. Since both teams would be doing their own thing I wanted to provide an opportunity to mix them together in a way that doesn't sound forced. Hopefully, y'all like it.

Morning sounds
The buzzing of a phone and an annoyingly high pitch song plays in the background.
"Ugh, five more minutes," Yuko groans, slamming a fist on her phone. The sound immediately stops, and within seconds, the girl is asleep once more.
In a field filled to the brim with sunflowers, stood a lonely girl. In the distance stood a boy amongst the flowers. The girl called out to him, but her voice could not be heard. As the boy walks away, the girl begins to run in his direction. She hears a voice calling out to her.
"Yuko-ch~"
Brrring bop do be do- Brrring bop do be do pop! Brrring bop do be do- BRRRING BOP DO BE DO POP. BRRRING-
With a groan of annoyance, Yuko wakes up from her sleep. "Okay! I'm up! Shut up!"
She slams her hand on top of her phone, and the irritating sound ceases. Silence fills the room again as Yuko tries to regain her composure. Once she regains what little she has, Yuko rises to begin the day.
Today is the beginning of Golden Week, which means one week of hardly seeing her brother. Although she would never say it out loud, there were times she needed space from her brother. Having more female company is a welcome change to her daily routine.
Brrring bop do be do- Brrring bop do be do pop!
What the heck? Yuko thinks to herself as she shuts the alarm off again. Maybe I hit the snooze button on accident.
Shrugging to herself, the girl moves to the bathroom to get ready. Brushing her teeth, her hair, and washing her faces as she does every morning. Right as she exits the room-
Brrring bop do be do- Brrring bop do be do pop!
"UGGGHHHH," Yuko yells, grabbing her phone. "I SaId StOp!"
This time she mutes the phone and throws it under her pillow before getting dressed. However, right as Yuko tries to slip on her underwear-
BRRRING BOP DO BE DO- BRRRING BOP DO BE DO POP! BRRRING BOP DO BE DO- BRRRING BOP DO BE DO POP!
Scaring the sanity out of her, the girl falls on to the floor with one leg in her panty and the other out. Trying and failing to stop herself from falling, she knocks everything down to the ground. All the while, her phone continues to ring.
BRRRING BOP DO BE DO- BRRRING BOP DO BE DO POP! BRRRING BOP DO BE DO- BRRRING BOP DO BE DO POP!
"AHHHHHH!"
In the room next to Yuko's, Tobio merely shakes his head as he hears the ruckus emerging from his sister's room. He doesn't understand why this happens every morning, but he's not willing to risk his life to find out.
Dares?
"Alright, what about we play a game to relax," Higurashi said as the group of females settle in for the night.
Currently, the entire soccer team, plus Kiyoko, is inside the female soccer team's dorm. The day was brutal, and the heat didn't help. This is why the co-captains are trying to come up with something to do to lift everyone's spirits.
"What game?" Fujioka asked. "It's not like we have board games or cards."
"What about truth or dare," another third-year, Suzuki, called out. Many of the girls agreed to the idea, so the game commenced.
Those who chose to play the game sat in a giant circle while the rest of the girls watched as they played or spoke amongst themselves. At first, the game was boring since everyone kept choosing truth, so a rule had to be made. You can only pick truth one time, and for the rest of the game, it has to be a dare. Plus, you can't leave the game until you complete at least one dare, and to make sure you can't target one person, a bottle is introduced to the game. It doesn't matter who spins the bottle. If the bottom of the bottle faces you, then you ask truth or dare. If the opening of the bottle lands on you then you have to answer the question.
Finally, with the new rules in place, the game begins to pick up. With each girl coming up with terrible but hilarious dares to embarrass their friends. In the end, it's clear who has the best and worst luck in the game. Kiyoko is by far in the lead. She hasn't been subject to any dares and only one truth. Fujioka had a good run at first, but that all went down the drain once a second-year named Ishii dared Fujioka to balance on one foot on top of the toilet. She lasted a few seconds until Higurashi spooked her, causing Fujioka to slip and fall in, drenching her socks. Minako, on the other hand, has terrible luck. The bottle almost always lands on the poor girl. What makes things worse is how clumsy and awkward she is by nature. For example, one particular dare was pretty simple, but it still ended up a disaster that almost resulted in an injury. All Minako had to do is stay on her hands for one minute, and the penalty, if she fell before the one minute was over, is to pull one of her nose hairs out with a pair of tweezers. Poor Minako made it to 50 seconds before sneezing and scaring herself. Losing balance, she stumbles forward and faceplants onto the floor, knocking Fujioka down with her. As she was falling Minako yells, "who's out there?" The whole thing is on video on Mazaki's phone.
Still, there is one person everyone can agree on who has terrible luck but sucks when it comes to receiving dares. Kageyama, Yuko. It's not that Yuko won't do the dare it's just that nothing embarrassing happens to her. Jojima tried to go the safe route and dared Yuko to spill the name of her crush which Yuko replies, "Don't have one, but I think Iwazumi Hajime is downright sexy."
(Every girl agreed once they saw a photo of Seijoh's Ace.)
Arata, trying to go outside the box, dared Yuko to chug some hot sauce. Why Arata brought a bottle of hot sauce into the dorms, no one will ever know. Still, Yuko completed the dare without drinking an ounce of water or turning red. Even Sato couldn't manage to catch the girl off guard by daring her to steal one of coach Noguchi's socks. Yuko strolled right into the room, took the sock, and somehow placed it inside Hara Sensei's pocket.
Now, due to Yuko's ability to save herself from humiliation, the whole team is calling her Sakamoto. Sakamoto is an anime about a boy who is the coolest person ever, and nobody is capable of humiliating him. They also decide to call her Saki for short.
At this point, everyone was about to give up until the bottle lands on Kiyoko and Yuko. Yuko smirks, thinking that Kiyoko would most likely give her an easy dare. However, Kiyoko inwardly smiled since she finally got Yuko. All night, she had been going easy on the soccer team since this is the first time she's spent time with them, but that's not the case with Yuko. Looking at her smirking friend, Kiyoko calmly says, "Sneak into the boy's volleyball room and take a picture with each boy."
"...WhAt?" Yuko asked, her eyes open wide in shock. The only response she receives is Kiyoko waving a key in front of her face.
"Bruh, you have a key?" Higurashi asked the raven-haired girl.
"I'm the manager... I have everything."
"How come I never knew how devious Shimizu-chan is?" Higurashi asked no one in particular, all the while staring at the beautiful third year.
"Probably due to the girl crush we all have on her," Suo mutters, and everyone agrees. "So what does Saki have to do?"
"Sneak in, and take a selfie with each boy," Kiyoko explains. "If Yuko gets caught, then I'm allowed to put five wax strips anywhere of my choosing and rip them off."
Yuko's mouth drops by the time Kiyoko finishes speaking. There is no way she can complete this task without getting caught. Stealing the sock was way easier than this! Still, once Yuko realizes she still hasn't used the truth option, the girl breaths a sigh of relief.
"I would like to use my truth," Yuko proudly proclaims, starring down the entire group. Most of the girls groan when they hear this, but Kiyoko doesn't allow this to phase her.
"Is it true you farted the other day and blamed it on your brother when he bent down to pick up the ball?"
"Yeah, it was me," Yuko shrugs nonchalantly to the older girl. "Not my fault the idiot turned red and looked guilty. He admitted later that night he was trying to pass a silent one."
The entire room begins to laugh as Yuko spins the bottle. Almost as if the universe hated the striker, the bottle lands on her and Kiyoko in the exact same position. Once again, Yuko's mouth drops open, and this time the older beauty does smirk at her young friend.
"Well, well, well," Kiyoko says quietly. "Looks like we have to go next door, don't we, Yuko-Chan~?"
With no other alternative, Yuko accepts her fate. Despite agreeing to this, Yuko still has to wait another hour before she can complete her dare. The last thing anyone wants is to get caught before they even get started.
By the time it's midnight, a small group heads out into the night. Yuko, Kiyoko, Fujioka, and Higurashi are the chosen ones for good reasons. Honestly, Higurashi is only there since she promised to record the whole ordeal for the rest of the team to enjoy.
As the girls sneak into the house next door, Yuko begins to get nervous with the mere thought of getting caught. If an administrator catches them, she'll get kicked off the team for sure. If she doesn't do it, Kiyoko will put five wax strips on her. If the boys catch her in the act, then Tobio will kill her. If she doesn't do the dare, Kiyoko will put five wax strips on her.
.
..
...
Sorry, Tobio, The first-year thought to herself. But I like my eyebrows!
Sneaking into the room, all four girls stare in wonder at the mess these boys created in just one night. Socks everywhere, shoes everywhere else, and each boy in odd positions as they slept.
"Boys," Higurashi mumbles in disgust as she points her phones to all corners of the room. "Let's get this over with already. It smells in here."
Nodding her head, Yuko moves to the first bed, which happens to be Tsukki. Taking her phone out, she bends down and takes a picture with the blond. Yuko proceeds to do this with every boy while doing random poses. With Asahi, she does a handstand right over his head. For Tanaka, she mimics the infamous pose he does to intimidate people with, and Daichi she risked it all just to plank over him. The girls all have to try their best not to wake the boys with their laughter due to the ridiculousness of it all.
Finally, the last person Yuko has to get a picture with is Hinata. She's right about to snap the picture when Higurashi accidentally steps on Asahi's finger.
"OW! ...OH GOSH, HE'S GONNA KILL US!"
"HUH?"
"I'm a girl moron!"
"Shut up!"
"Who's there?"
"Yuko?"
"Kiyoko-sempai!"
"Girls!"
"I hear footsteps!"
Suddenly, all voices halt to hear the approaching footsteps before each girl jumps into a cot. Yuko blindly picked the closest cot to sneak into until the coast is clear. However, before she could figure out who's cot she's in, a hand grabs her partner, dragging them away. After a few muffled noises, silence fills the room just as the door slides open. Since the covers were over her head, the only thing Yuko could see is a light shining on the blanket. A minute passes before the individual finally leaves. Two more minutes pass before the group finally decides it's safe to come out. One by one, the heads begin to poke out of the cots.
While most of the beds hold one person, at least four of them have two. Fujioka is with a blushing Daichi, Kiyoko with a love-struck Tanaka, Higurashi with an annoyed Tsukishima, and Kageyama Tobio…. with Hinata Shoyo?
"Sorry, did we burst the mood for you two?" Fujioka joked. "First-years are so adventurous these days."
The entire room begins to chuckle quietly at the two boy's expense. Both males turn red, but Tobio refuses to allow Hinata to return to his cot just yet.
"I thought I grabbed Yuko," Tobio grumbles to the group.
"How did you think I was him?" Yuko laughs at her idiot brother.
"I was trying to hurry! By the way, why are you in here?!"
"Cause I like my hair!"
"...What?"
The Run
All the volleyball boys line up to run their mile as a team. Daichi decided that today's weather is the best opportunity to run together as a form of team bonding. What Daichi didn't expect is to find the girl's soccer team coming their way.
"Fujioka-san," He greets the intimidating female. He does his best not to blush while speaking to her. It's a bit difficult with last night's events playing again and again in his mind.
"Sawamura-san," She smirked back. "You guys about to run?"
"Yes, and if you want, we could run together- The teams I mean."
"Are you sure? It won't cause any problems, right?"
"How would it?"
"Well... we run at a different speed than you volleyball boys."
"Don't worry," Daichi smiled good-naturedly. "I'm sure you'll be fine."
"If you say so," the female captain smirked. "But, just in case..." Turning around, the captain faces her team and yells, "Ladies! We're jogging today."
Turning back to Daichi, Fujioka winks and walks away. Daichi, on the other hand, is shocked by what he heard. Is Fujioka joking, or was she serious about underestimating them? He's known the girl since first-year, so she's probably being serious right now about jogging. In any case, this excites him for some strange reason as he rejoins his teammates.
As the girls begin to mix in with the boys, Hinata bounds his way to Yuko with Tobio not too far behind him, "YUKO-CHAN!"
"Hey, Hinata-kun," the girl smiles. "Hey, Tobio."
"Hey-"
"Do you want to run with us?" Hinata interrupts the taller boy. This is basically a dream come true for the smaller boy. He gets to train and spend time with Yuko. It's as if his day couldn't get any better.
"Sure, but I have to stay at the back of the pack."
"Why? You aren't slow."
"No, but it's a rule Fuji-san has."
"Uh, okay," Hinata says uncertainly, but a moment later, a smile reappears on his face.
As the group begins their run, the boys notice that not only are the girls keeping up, but it really does look like they're jogging. So with that in mind, Daichi runs up to the front of the pack to set a new pace. Nevertheless, the girls don't look perturbed by this which bothers the captain of the volleyball team. Daichi wanted to push the girls a bit due to Fujioka's earlier comment, but it seems as though they don't care how fast the boys run. Eventually, he motions to Fujioka to join him upfront. Effortlessly, the girl catches up to him with a cocky smile on her face.
"Something wrong, Captain?" The older girl smirks up at him. The fact that she can breathe without gasping for air, speaks volumes of how fit she is.
"No... I was just... checking... on you guys," Daichi chokes out a response, trying his best not to sound out of breath. "Are you... guys... okay?"
"Yeah, just fine. If anything, I wanted to know if you guys are up for a real run?"
"Real- Ahem- Real run?"
"Yup! So what do you say?" Fujioka asked innocently. Not wanting to back down, Daichi nods his head at her request. Although, deep down, he wants to shed a few manly tears. "Great! Now you might want to cover your ears."
The woman doesn't give him a moment to understand what was said when she begins to scream. "Yuko, get your butt up here!"
"Okay!" a scream answers back. Within seconds, Yuko is at the front of the group with Hinata and Tobio not far behind. "What's up?"
"We're running, so set the pace, but don't go crazy."
"Cool," the striker beams at her leader before taking off at a fast pace. While the boys stare in wonder as they come to a stop, the entire female soccer team leaves them behind. No one even realizes a tangerine running after a blueberry with hearts in his eyes.
It's 11:00 PM
It's the middle of Golden Week around 11:00 pm, and Yuko couldn't fall asleep. Try and try as she might, her eyes wouldn't stay shut. Finally giving up, she quietly sneaks out of the room to step outside for a bit of fresh air.
It's almost 11:02 pm, and Hinata couldn't stay still. He wasn't tired in the least. Deciding it's best to go outside, he silently leaves the room.
It's 11:05 pm when two sets of eyes meet. Neither of the two speaks at first, but smiles exchange from one to another, and conversations begin to flow.
It's 11:30 pm when numbers swap between the two. One heart is racing, and the other finds unknown happiness.
It's 11:48 pm, and sleep begins to drag them down. It won't go away! The conversation is fantastic, hilarious, and more! Why does sleep have to interrupt them now? Still, the sandman knocks on their doors.
It's 11:59 pm, wishing each other good night with a promise to meet again the next night.
It's 11:00 pm.
Aoba Johsai Scandal
Rumors.
Rumors tend to be an awful thing. They start horribly but end disastrously. At least, that's how Yuko felt. The first rumor she ever got entangled in was during the first year of middle school. Back then, Yuko was just an innocent little girl who hadn't received her first kiss yet.
Yuko didn't understand, nor did she pay attention to the stares she often received. The stares were a mix of adoration, puppy-love struck boys and envy. The envy mostly came from a group of girls who were upset with the amount of attention Yuko garnered.
One evening, sometime after Yuko, Iwazumi, and Oikawa became friends, the two shortest people within their little group were found alone after school. That was the day Yuko received her first kiss. It was sweet and gentle which was very unlike the boy who kissed. Iwazumi didn't know what urged him to kiss the girl, but he's glad he did. However, the two decide to stay friends despite this. The friendship they shared was too precious to them to risk losing over a small-time relationship. Iwazumi is a third-year, and the following semester he'll be attending Aoba Johsai. So after one more kiss, this time a bit deeper and longer, the two agreed to keep what happed as a sweet memory between them. Nevertheless, one rotten, and envious first-year didn't get the memo as she began to spread rumors about Yuko being a whore who allowed the entire volleyball team to pass her around.
Since this is the first time someone lashed out at her, even if it was behind her back, Yuko felt vulnerable. They turned one of her happiest memories into one of shame. It bothered her that these girls had the power to do so. Yuko decided at that moment to transform herself into a new person. This new version of herself is stronger than the last. No longer would she be sweet, innocent, shy Yuko. Now, if someone decides to mess with her, they better be ready to face the consequences. Still, Yuko understood if she rose to every challenge, then she would be the one losing. Thus, the girl gave herself some rules. If someone wanted to fight, then she would rise to the challenge, but if all they can do is talk behind her back, she'll ignore it to the best of her abilities.
For years it's been this way, so she doesn't allow it to bother her when she arrives at Aoba Johsai for the practice match. During their game, the other team keeps pointing at her while they whisper. Both Yuko and Fujioka have to stop Higurashi from beating the other team to a pulp. Nevertheless, they could not stop the defender from playing harder than usual. What makes matters worse is that the person who's spreading the rumor is her old friend, Wada.
Earlier before the game started, Yoshida overheard Wada say that Yuko played Kunimi and dumped him when she got bored. Then she came all the way to Aoba Johsai during their match against Karasuno to distract them and bribe Kunimi to give them the game for Yuko's brother. If Karasuno won, then the two could date once more. However, if Karasuno lost, then Yuko would never speak to Kunimi again. Then Wada claimes that Yuko caused a huge scene in front of everyone to get out of the arrangement, which broke Kunimi's heart. It's said that she ran to Iwazumi, the ace Yuko is having sex with and use to cheat on Kunimi with, to help her out of the situation.
After hearing all of this Yuko explains to her team what actually transpired that day, and they believe her. They're her friends, and they know the real her. The other team, and those who were watching the match, not so much. It doesn't help when the majority of the boy's volleyball team came to see their game.
When the game ends with Karasuno's victory, Wada walks over to Karasuno's side to speak to Yuko. Their captain has to remind the girls not to strangle the approaching girl and leave Yuko to handle the situation. Even if Fujioka herself wanted to punch the girl on the tit.
"Hey, Yuko-chan," Wada smiled at Yuko. "Do you mind if we talk?"
"Sure, I don't see why not."
Walking a short distance from her team, Wada begins to speak again. "I heard about what happened between you and Kunimi-kun. Are you okay?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Because I'm worried about you! Kunimi-kun said some horrible things about you."
"Did he now?"
"Yes, and the two of us have always been close, so I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I don't get to speak to you as often as I would like since we go to different schools now."
As Wada continued her tale of friendship and kindness, Yuko thinks back to her past. Although she and Wada were good friends, she never told the girl any of her secrets. Why have a twin if you can't share your secrets with them. However, the girl always came to her speaking about outlandish stories about others in their middle school. Yuko always chalked it up to the rumor mill but never thought of the possibility that Wada was the one starting the lies. Yuko never felt so stupid and blind until now. Still, one thing above all else kept ringing through her mind as the smaller girl continues to speak.
"Kunimi-kun said some horrible things about you."
"Do you hate me that much? Because I don't hate you!"
"...Yuko, even when we broke up, I never said anything horrible about you. Kindaichi was the one who claimed I could do better, and before I could reply, Kageyama punched me. I still want you, Yuko."
Between the two, it's easier to believe Kunimi than Wada. Plus, Yoshida confirmed that Wada is the one spreading lies about her to everyone in the school.
"Wada, you can cut the crap now," Yuko effectively cuts the snake off nonchalantly. "I know you're the one spreading the rumor about me. It's okay; I don't care about the lies you say to others. I never have, and I never will."
"What are you talking-"
"However, there is one thing I can't stand," Yuko growled at her. "If you lie to me again, I will beat you to the ground and I won't stop."
To anyone watching the scene, it appears as though two opposing team members having a friendly discussion. To Wada Chiyo, it was a terrifying confrontation from the one person she never wanted to anger. She had seen firsthand what Yuko does to people who infuriate her, and she swore to herself to never be in that position. Wada doesn't want to know who informed Yuko that she was the one spreading the rumor, but this will be the last time Wada ever angers the taller female again.
