Corpse bride Poem
By Theresa Galvez
Love and tragedy
Lived the Corpse Bride
Just to find love
And to her surprise
She found a man
Who had been mistaken
To marry the corpse
My, how dreadful he must've taken it?
Victor, his name, and hers so true
Or so she thought when they went through
The portal of life so he could show
His parents his wife, but who'd have known
He tricked her to see Victoria sweet
"Hopscotch" the corpse yelled and they were gone in a sweep
But who'd have known he had fallen for the dead
Dear Emily, her name, who lay in a death bed
Weeping for him and his "live" girl
Let him live, and maybe I'll hurl
Victoria now betrothed to another
Wanting her Victor, there was no other
But she was wed to a greedy man
I bet she wanted to hit him with a pan
A celebration of the dead
Victor proposed, once again
To sweet Emily it will be
But what of Victoria? We shall see
Victor and Emily, ready in the chapel
To drink the poison, that was until
Emily saw Victoria, and she couldn't do it
Told Victor to go and they smiled, but who
Was there to interrupt this very special moment
Why none other than Victoria's supposed betrothed
Come here to take his bride
Found his dead one standing by her side
So filled with furry and anger to kill him
Sadly, she was not the one to full-fill it
He killed himself with poison so blindly
All the dead ready bury and confine him
Victor and Victoria had their happy ending
And Emily found freedom and happiness impending
So all turned out well for most of them
And so I'll end this with-
The End
