Hello everyone, I'm WildExpert24, and this is my first Fanfic Story. This one involves a favorite series that once aired on Animal Planet and lives on in Fanfiction Prehistoric Park. As a kid and a teen, I read the stories from Mortalkombat, Darksages, and Dadog's Versions and as of now, Nathanoraptor's Prehistoric Park: Reimagined. I always imagined what a Cartoon X-overs version would look like in my mind until now I will finally do it in this take inspired by Nathanoraptor's Prehistoric Park: Reimagined called Paleo Park. This will be unlike any other with a mix of action and documentary style. It's Prehistoric Park meets Jurassic Park meets the Walking with Series meets Prehistoric Planet meets Roger Rabbit. I would like to thank DaDog and MortalKombat247 for inspiring me and Nathanoraptor and A-LionGleek for their blessings. Now let the journey begin.
Prologue: Start of a Journey Pt. 1
Planet Earth is the only planet we know of that can contain and sustain life, home to many organisms of both flora and fauna. In this universe, it's where Humans and animated cartoon characters commonly known as Toons co-exist. Whether 2D or 3D format, western or eastern, the toons have toon physics meaning something that would hurt or kill a real-life human doesn't harm them is how they survived, but like humans, they have feelings, live simple lives, have jobs, and raise families as normal people do. They were made by using a special biological ink in an unknown lab that brings drawings to life, the purpose for humans to relate to them physically and emotionally and to bring laughs and smiles since the golden age of animation, the toons had changed and evolved in the coming decades and hopefully into the future, although some television animation shows had come and go it's their funny and quirkiness is how they never went extinct. Although it's a different story for the rest of the organisms, there have been five big mass extinction events since the beginning of the universe, many organisms have died off because they couldn't adapt to the changes in their environment mostly natural environmental catastrophes like volcanic activity or a meteorite hurtling towards earth, gone were the mammal reptile like synapsids, the flying pterosaurs, marine reptiles, the mighty dinosaurs, and the mammals of the ice age. But a sixth new extinction event is coming and it's caused by one living thing that stood above the rest, Man. As Humans or Homo sapiens evolved they spread to many parts of the earth and adapt to the environments becoming different races and cultures. They developed new technological advances, religion, society, government, and civilization leading to an increase in the human population, which unfortunately lead to a negative effect on the environment. As humans build settlements, farms, and eventually cities to sustain their population to suit their needs this has led to a cause of many animals and plants to either adapt or die. The factors of overhunting, disease spread, introduced/invasive species, habitat loss, and climate change has led to the decline and extinction of many organisms on earth. It's only recently humans are trying to fix their mistakes because what they're currently doing could lead to their extinction, but what of the animals that went extinct because of man or before? Many suggested cloning, but there are many ethics and costs involving long-extinct animals with damaged DNA, and what if there is another solution to all this with the power of time travel?
…..
It all starts in this secluded mansion in Los Angeles, the halls inside were filled with different kinds of fossils, from giant dinosaur skeletons to sharks' teeth to ammonites. Two men in their early 20s were walking down the hall. The first person was named Thomas Tran, a Vietnamese-American who has black hair, and wears glasses, gray tennis shoes, white socks, and an explorer's khaki shirt, vest, hat, and shorts. The second man was Charlie Yeager, a tanned Hispanic, muscular, with black hair, and wearing black tennis shoes and a white top, a taupe vest, long brown pants, and a short-sleeved black shirt. These two people were the best of friends since childhood with Charlie the Brawn and Thomas the Brains, Charlie was a forensic detective for the police department while Thomas is a zoologist studying animals in the wild. The mansion they were walking was privately owned by a company called Gensyn and home to a man they were meeting with - Richard Holwell, he was the fifth richest man in the world and the wealthy and cherishable founder and CEO of Nexua. The two men opened the two big doors and entered an expansive meeting room. Sitting by the table was an elderly man of New Zealand Maori descent with a bald head wearing a normal business outfit, this was Richard Holwell. In the table there were small seven figurines of prehistoric animals; Thomas can identify a Tyrannosaurus, a Spinosaurus, a Stegosaurus, a Quetzalcoatlus, a Dimetrodon, an Apatosaurus, and a Smilodon. Then he looked from his paper to see the men.
Richard: "Ah, Mr. Tran and Yeager, I presume."
Thomas: "Yes, we're here, Mr. Holwell."
Richard: "Please, call me Richard, and, besides, I'm not one for punctuality, But please take a seat."
As the duo sat down on the two chairs that were in front of the table.
Richard: "Now gentlemen, I believe you are all curious as to why you are here?"
Charlie: "Yes, sir, I was wondering why?"
Richard: "Well, Nexus has done many innovative ways to help people and protect the earth. The only hint had been the subject heading, which had stated, quite simply, "Re: the Lazarus Project."
Both: "The Lazarus Project?"
Richard: "As you know, 99.9% of species that have ever existed are extinct. The amazing animal's time chose to leave behind. But a notion came to me many years ago; what if we could bring them back? What if we could give them a second chance? What if extinction never had to be forever?"
Charlie: "So, you're talking about bringing back an extinct animal to life, sounds like Jurassic Park attempts to me?! No offense."
Richard: "None taken though it's quite similar, but not just dinosaurs, also the creatures that lived before and after the dinosaurs including the ice age like the Mammoth and dodo bird and there's no cloning required."
Thomas: "Ok then, but how is it possible?"
Richard: "You see I wanted to make this a reality, so I spent many years in secret building a machine that could make it possible. It took a long time, but, against impossible odds, I succeeded. Gentlemen, behold the time portal."
After Richard explained he pressed the button the remote and the portal sticks near us flashed before our eyes as a portal was formed. You see the portal where a blue vortex appeared in the room. The closest thing it could resemble was a satellite chart's image of a tornado, floating gently in mid-air.
Both: "Whoa!"
Charlie (chuckles): "A time machine?"
Richard: "Take a look. You may not believe me – however, you can believe your eyes."
As the two men looked through on the other side it was the Late Jurassic period in Colorado, North America, 150 million years ago and we saw a panoramic view of vast herds of dinosaurs like Long-necked Sauropods and Stegosaurus in the fern prairies and conifer forests.
Richard: "Speechless? My company's board was surprised as well. Some of those squawking toadies were quieter than I've seen them in years!"
Charlie: "So you cracked time travel? This is heavy."
Thomas: "I can't believe this, But let me get this straight, You want us to use this portal to revive extinct species."
Richard: "Precisely."
Thomas: "And Why?"
Richard: "Think about it; you can save history's greatest beasts. Use the portal, travel back to Prehistoric Earth, and save as many animals as possible."
As he was talking, images of extinct animals played through Thomas' head of the many prehistoric animals and dinosaurs that went extinct and that time chose to leave behind.
Richard: "Large and small, predator and prey, swimmers and flyers, birds, insects, invertebrates, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and fishes, animals of all different kinds, shapes, and sizes."
Charlie: "And what will we do then?"
Richard: "You have the land, the portal, the staff, and most crucially, the funding to make my dream a reality."
Charlie: "So Where do we start?"
Richard: "Where else? I'm thinking somewhere near the mass extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs!"
There you have it folks, part 2 of the Prologue will come once I finish the character descriptions. So imagine if this series was real it would be a mix of 2d and 3d animation cartoons or a live-action with 2d and 3d cartoon characters with Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Animals recreated by animatronics, puppetry, and CGI like Roger Rabbit and Amazing World of Gumball. If you're fans of Prehistoric Park you might already know the first mission is to rescue the king of dinosaurs. Of course, this might take a long time, like structuring the story and writing descriptions of the creatures, but also my time in college and spending time with my family. So you can suggest additional dialogues, quotes, scenes, and natural or speculative behaviors for the prehistoric animals since I am new to this and negative, hateful and spam comments are not allowed and will be reported, so this is WildExpert24 signing off.
