No One Knows You Better Than Your Nobody
By RedBlackandWhite
This is a one shot I thought up at 12:30 in the morning. It's derived from a single sentence that Roxas said during his conversation with Kairi. Please I just want feedback. I really don't care what it is, even if it's about how you had pancakes for breakfast. I really don't care because I'm in a piss-off mood and I am listening to depressing music. Just leave me crap to read so I feel better. Enjoy.
It's all over. Finally. She looked over towards the now much taller Riku, purged of all evil, having found his light. He was staring out into the sunset, leaning on his beloved tree, soft silver hair covering his aquamarine eyes. She had missed him so much.
And then there was Sora.
The brunet was also staring out to the orange sun being swallowed by the sea. He was sitting on the tree, silent for once, those big blue orbs called eyes glistening with thought. He'd been through a lot. I mean a WHOLE lot. Now he was finally back to the island, the journey over.
She had been so happy to see him. She remembered the first time she saw him in over a year, standing on a balcony in that godforsaken castle. When they finally got to talk, she couldn't stand it anymore. That hug had told her that it was all real.
But something worried her.
He was reluctant to hug back. She didn't know whether it was from shock or something else. In fact he seemed happier to see Riku, since he had started crying. At the time she didn't care. But now she has time to contemplate it.
Which brings us to the confusion.
I know you, you're the girl he likes.
During that conversation with Roxas, that comment didn't phase her at all. Partly because she had completely forgotten Sora for a year, everyone had. But was he serious? Or was he just voicing his opinion from what he had seen? Did he really understand their relationship? I mean he is half of Sora. Kairi had never really given it a lot of thought, although that doesn't mean it hadn't crossed her mind. In the month that they'd been back, not much had happened.
Just thinking. And lots of it.
She was worried. Maybe her and Sora would never become more than friends. And if they did, what would become of Riku?
Needless to say the events of the past year and a half had screwed up things.
Then Kairi remembered her letter.
One sky, one destiny.
Maybe it didn't matter what became of the trio, as long as they had each other.
And suddenly, as Kairi looked over at her two best friends in the world, or worlds for that matter, all of her concerns vanished. Just being with them was enough.
But then again,
No one knows you better than Nobody.
…
A/N: There, it's off my chest. Now I can get on with my life. R&R on your way out, may your life be better than mine right now.
