Fate/Kyon's Order: Arcueid's Arrival
A Haruhi Suzumiya & Fate/Grand Order Crossover Fan Fiction
by Derald Snyder
Part 5- VS Roa
"Wait, you know this guy?" Haruhi said as she and the others beheld the new arrival... He was a thin man with pale skin, red eyes and long, stringy black hair... He wore black slacks and shoes, and a white formal collared shirt, though said shirt was untucked and unbuttoned, revealing that his bare chest and stomach were engraved with a blood-red Magic Crest.
"Michael Roa Valdamjong," Arcueid hissed. "He tricked me into drinking his blood so he could become a Dead Apostle, and stole some of my power in the process!"
"It's good to see you again as well," Roa said with no hint of mocking or disdain. "And who might your friends be...?" He took a moment to scan Ritsuka and the others... "Ah, I see. Heroic Spirit Summoning. That wouldn't usually be possible in my timeline... but you're not from around here, are you?"
"We rayshifted here from 2019," Ritsuka admitted. "We're looking for an item called a Holy Grail..."
"...ah, you must mean this thing," Roa moved his hands to near his chest, from which a familiar golden chalice emerged. "Sorry, but I'm not inclined to give up an artifact of such power." The Grail merged back into his body. "If you want it, you'll have to take it by force..."
"I will GLADLY do so!" Arcueid snarled, holding out her hand, invoking razor-sharp winds to try and tear the Dead Apostle to shreds... but Roa suddenly transformed into pure lightning shooting directly at Haruhi-
-But Artesia was there first, deflecting the lightning with her blade! Roa reformed a short distance away... "Curses. I thought I could take out one of the summoners straight away..."
"You want Master, you'll have to go through me!" Artesia asserted, her blade at the ready.
"I won't let you harm my Master!" Mash concurred, holding up her shield.
"...So that leaves the redhead and her dumb reptile," Roa concluded, dashing at Gudako with incredible speed, but there was a flash, his attack parried by Koyo's human form!
"Dumb reptile? I'll burn you to ashes for that," Koyo said bluntly, attempting to stab at Roa with her three-pronged sword, only for the Dead Apostle to flash-step out of danger!
"Amateur! Lemme show you how it's done!" Arcueid yelled as she charged, easily side-stepping Roa's lightning magic, then slashing with her claws-
-but Roa easily dodged the attempted strike. "Missed me," he taunted.
"You fell for it," Arc shot back with a grin. Roa's eyes widened in comprehension, just as the very wind itself tore through his body, chopping him to bloody pieces! "You forgot about my Marble Phantasm, idiot!"
"Eww, messy!" Gudako covered her eyes. "Glad I didn't eat before we rayshifted! Yuck!" But then, an image of a clock appeared over Roa's remains, beginning to rapidly tick backward, Roa's body pulling itself back together in reverse, until he was fully unharmed once again.
"Was that time-reversal magecraft?!" Mash realized.
"Precisely, my dear," Roa chuckled, flash-stepping away from Arcueid.
"Arrrgh! Why can't you DIE when I kill you?!" Arc stomped her foot in frustration. Back in Chaldea, Archer Emiya sneezed.
"Koyo, help Arc out!" Gudako ordered.
"As you wish, Master," Kijyo Koyo obeyed, She and Arcueid charging Roa together, only for him to turn into lightning and zap them both, reforming a short distance away!
"Got you!" Artesia cried as she blasted dark energy at Roa only the Dead Apostle to vanish- "Ugh!" the saber coughed up blood, Roa's hand having pierced her armor and straight through her torso!
"ARTESIA!" Haruhi cried in horror.
"Too slow," Roa taunted as he withdrew his hand, letting Artesia slide to the ground. "One down, three to go..."
"By my command spell, don't die!" Haruhi invoked, before charging at Roa herself! He easily dodged the initial strike, but Haruhi countered with a low sweep, sending him to the ground! Roa rolled away and righted himself, barely avoiding Haruhi's follow-up punch! He attempted to strike back, but Haruhi easily parried or deflected his strikes!
"Wow, it's like an episode of Dragon Ball Z!" Gudako exclaimed, as the two traded blows at breakneck speed... even Arcueid was looking on in slack-jawed disbelief. But then Haruhi and Roa managed to grab each other's hands/wrists, straining against each other with gritted teeth.
"You're no ordinary mage, to keep up with one such as myself," Roa grunted.
"You have no idea!" Haruhi taunted back, before slamming the vampire with a headbutt, causing them both to recoil in pain! Arcueid swiftly took advantage, rushing in and grabbing Roa by the face, using her Marble Phantasm to reshape the earth into a spike that she promptly impaled him on! She then slashed him repeatedly with her claws, reducing him to very small chunks!
But alas, the time-reversal magecraft did its work again, restoring Roa to perfect condition! "Nice effort, my dear Arcueid, but as I long as I possess the Grail, you can't hope to destroy me..."
But to his surprise, Arcueid simply smirked. "Well, maybe I can't... but she can!" Roa's eyes went wide, barely dodging as a woman in a red jacket over a blue kimono attempted to slash him with a knife!
"Another one?!" the Dead Apostle gasped, only to be caught by Koyo in a full nelson from behind!
"Now, Ryougi-san!" Ritsuka cried. Ryougi Shiki charged at the vampire, who briefly had a vision of a young man in a blue school uniform weilding a knife in the same manner... then he coughed up blood as the woman swung and cut through him, but left the berserker unharmed!
"Mystic Eyes of Death Perception," Shiki stated bluntly. "Omae wa mou shinderu." Roa's body, nay, his very existence seemed to split in half, before he completely collapsed into black dust that blew away in the wind. After he was gone, however, several motes of light appeared.
"What is that?" Mash asked, shifting her shield to protect Ritsuka, just in case.
"Ah, that must be the power he stole from me! Come to mama!" Arcueid exclaimed, holding out her hands. Sure enough, the power seemed to attract to her like a magnet, the vampire being engulfed in light as it merged with her! "Ahhhhhhh, AHHHHHHH!" she cried, almost like a lover in near-ecstasy...
The first thing Haruhi saw when the light began to fade was that Arcueid's hair had grown as long as she was tall... "Oh shit, she's transformed again!" The other servants were immediately on guard, even Artesia managing to lift her sword again, despite still being in pain from her earlier wound...
But as the light faded completely, several details were immediately clear... Unlike Archetype: Earth, this Arcueid still had the flower in her hair, and her gown was even more elaborate than before, with several blue ribbons adorning said gown, her long hair literally glowing with power... As she turned to face the group, her face was stoic, but there was no hint of malice in her expression. "...Master. There is no cause for worry. This is my original form, free from the temptation of blood. You could say that the personalities you know as Archetype: Earth and Arcueid Brunestud have merged into one, so to speak..."
"So... your Spirit Origin has stabilized?" Ritsuka guessed.
"You could say that," the new Arcueid nodded. "However, though you are my Master, Miss Suzumiya, I am the princess of the True Ancestors, and I would expect you and everyone else to give me the respect due to one of my station."
"Well~, I still prefer Queen Semiramis, but as you wish, Your Highness!" Gudako exclaimed, bowing from the waist, Ritsuka and Mash following suit while Koyo gave a formal curtsy. Shiki just gave a small nod of respect, while Artesia didn't budge.
"Though you may be a princess, I am the King of Knights, so I have no reason to bow to you," the blackened saber said bluntly.
"...That is fair enough, I suppose. You likely still distrust me as well," Princess Arcueid demurred. "Oh, before I forget... here." She cupped her hand in front of her chest, a light growing between them, which soon reformed into a familiar chalice. "Here you are, Master."
"Thanks, Arcueid," Haruhi nodded, walking up and gently taking the Grail from her. "Hey Lisa, I think we're done here."
"All right, we're bringing you back now," Da Vinci concurred. "Commencing Rayshift." And so the party was recalled to Chaldea's base...
