Part 11- Divide And Conquer
"Take this!" Parvati cried as she fired several small electric bolts from her spear, zapping a few skeletal wraiths! Meanwhile, Munemori was fighting off a few possessed samurai armors, taking his katana and cleaving through one instantly! Two more approached on his flanks, but he easily evaded their clumsy strikes, cutting one down with a slice, then chopping the other to pieces with little effort! Parvati then rose into the air, raising her tuning fork up high, inducing lightning bolts from the ceiling to strike down the remaining wraiths!
"...It appears that's all of them," Yagyu observed, sheathing his katana. "Kasuga, are you all right?"
"Parvati did all the fighting, but I'm just fine," Kasuga said, having shifted back to her pink kimono. "I worry about our companions, however..." The group had been forcibly separated by unbreakable walls that had sprung up between them, forcing them to split up. "Ritsuka-kun especially..."
"Well, waiting here will accomplish nothing," the elder saber asserted. "We must press on..." And so they moved to the next room.
*Speaking of Ritsuka...*
"Help..." the young Master squeaked, wrapped up tightly in Gorgon's snake coils.
"Now now, I'm not going to devour you... at least not literally," Gorgon gave a gentle smile. "After all, you're one of the few that accepts me as I am... I should repay that kindness..." Equipping her Breaker Gorgon over her eyes, she lowered herself to Ritsuka's level, her mouth slightly open... "Don't resist," she whispered, before closing the distance, her lips pressing firmly against his...
"Mmmmph!" Ritsuka moaned in protest, unable to break away... (Where did Kiara go?!) he thought frantically.
"...All right, the show's over," Another voice was heard, Kiara suddenly materializing and grabbing Gorgon around the neck, forcefully pulling her away! She then hit the avenger's tail with a strong kick, causing said tail to forcibly uncoil, freeing Ritsuka and dumping him on the floor!
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Gorgon screeched, managing to break Kiara's grip and throw her off! "I will turn you to stone and smash you into rubble so small, you will never be put back together!"
"You can try," Kiara chuckled, easily sidestepping Gorgon's tail swipe, before materializing a ball of energy overhead that assaulted the avenger with several small waves!
"Don't kill her!" Ritsuka cried out, still laying on the floor, a bit dizzy.
"Oh, if you insist..." Kiara leapt to evade the lasers that shot from Gorgon's snake hair, flipping and coming down with a punch that shattered her Breaker Gorgon! The snake-woman invoked her Mystic Eyes of Petrification, but Kiara mostly evaded the attempt, only her arm turning to stone! She took advantage of this, however, swinging said stone limb and knocking Gorgon's tail from under her, causing her to crash into the floor face-first! Kiara then grabbed the avenger's head with her free hand, slamming it into the floor once, twice, three times, the servant going limp and unconscious as a result. "There... that should do it." She then waved a hand over her petrified arm, which returned to normal. "Can you stand, Master?"
"Y... yeah," Ritsuka grunted as he picked himself up. "Thanks..."
"You can repay me later," Kiara said with a teasing wink. "Now come on, let's go find our friends..."
*In another part of the labyrinth...*
"Hiii-yah!" Haruhi cried as she hit a skeletal wraith with a double-footed dropkick, said wraith breaking apart into individual bones upon hitting the wall. Meanwhile, Archetype: Earth used a sword of light to cut apart her foes with ease! The last wraith however, managed to expel some kind of gas from it's mouth into the vampire's face before expiring, causing the servant to have a minor coughing fit! "You okay?!" Haruhi asked worriedly.
"Ugh..." Archetype: Earth grunted, her body shuddering... then she relaxed, turning to face Haruhi with an uncharacteristically serene smile on her face. "Oh, Master..." she sighed, her voice low and husky.
Haruhi could already see where this was going, backing up slightly... "Arcueid, stop it! Don't you dare-" That was as far as she got before the Ultimate One instantly closed the distance, pressing the other woman into the wall behind her!
"Master... perhaps I've been a bit too harsh with you in the past," Archetype: Earth breathed out, her bosom pressing into Haruhi's. "Allow me to make up for my earlier transgressions..." She drew the reality warper into a deep kiss, gripping the back of Haruhi's head with one hand so she wouldn't escape...
Haruhi was caught slightly off guard from the sweet taste of the vampire's lips. (I thought for sure they'd taste a little like blood... Wait, what am I saying?!) She tried to wriggle free, but Archetype: Earth hugged her tighter with her free arm, as she began to slide her tongue in... (Wait, that's it!) Haruhi pushed her own tongue into the vampire's mouth, deliberately going for one of her fangs, grunting in pain as said fang pierced her tongue, drawing blood!
The taste of blood caused Arcueid to abruptly break off, spitting as she reverted to her short-haired form! "Ptooey! No! Drinking blood is bad! I mustn't!" She let go of Haruhi as she wiped her mouth in disgust... "Master, are you okay?!"
"Yeah..." Haruhi sighed in relief as she slid down into a sitting position, touching a finger to her tongue to heal the wound. "Bleh... didn't think you'd freak out from tasting blood like that..."
"Master, I had to use a significant portion of my power to suppress my blood-drinking urges after Roa tricked me," Arc explained. "If I drink blood, I go completely insane, and become a danger to everyone around me! So please, don't ever do that again!"
"Well, now that I know, I won't do that anymore," Haruhi said fairly, pushing herself back up to a standing position. She took a moment to regain her bearings... "Okay, let's go find the others..."
"Okay," Arcueid nodded, the two heading off... after walking through a few rooms, they emerged into a large chamber, taking defensive stances as they heard footsteps...
But their fears were unfounded as Kasuga and Munemori entered the room. "Parvati, Tajima-no-kami! You're okay!"
"Of course we are," Yagyu said bluntly.
"We were more worried about you and Ritsuka-kun," Kasuga spoke up. "Have you seen him?"
"Not yet... wait, that might be them right there!" Haruhi said as she heard more people approaching... sure enough, Ritsuka jogged into the room, his face turning to one of relief upon seeing his companions.
"There you are! Are you okay?" Kasuga asked in concern.
"Barely," the young Master breathed out. "I almost got taken by Gorgon..."
"Gorgon?!" Haruhi gasped in disbelief. "We didn't encounter any servants! What about you, old man?"
"Just the usual wraiths and samurai," Yagyu shook his head. "That Kama must have been targeting Ritsuka-san specifically..."
"And it might have worked, had it not been for this meddling nun," Kiara said as she entered the room as well.
"You foiled me again?!" another voice cried out, the party turning to see Kama standing there. She was a bit taller than before, her white hair now long and flowing, her bust having grown a little, her pink-purple outfit slightly skimpier as well. "You've got some nerve, bitch! Who the hell do you think you are?!"
"Language, young lady!" Kasuga gasped as she covered Ritsuka's ears.
"I've heard worse..." Ritsuka shrugged.
Kama just gave Kasuga an obscene gesture in defiance. "Sorry, old lady, but this is MY domain now, so I can do whatever I want here! Although, I should really thank you for giving me the opportunity to use this Ooku in the first place... Your desire to guide the Tokugawas forever... but now, I shall determine who is Tokugawa and who is not!"
"This isn't what I wanted!" Kasuga wailed in protest. "This place was meant for the shoguns to conceive an heir safely away from the world of politics in the nation! Not a prostitution chamber!"
"Technically, the ladies that served here were prostitutes, just in an official capacity," Yagyu pointed out. "But Kasuga-no-Tsubone's point still stands! You had no right to twist this place into a singularity for your own purposes, fiend!"
"Too bad, so sad," Kama teased. "You may have escaped this time, but you can't resist forever... case in point!" She waved a hand, materializing a scrying-spell, which show two familiar faces...
"Yuki? Kuyou?!" Haruhi's eyes went wide. Though Kuyou's long thick hair mostly covered the two, the way they writhed and shivered made it obvious what they were doing...
"Don't look, Ritsuka-kun!" Kasuga moved her hands to cover the Master's eyes.
"Oh, my... I had thought those two were bitter enemies..." Kiara observed.
"Now do you see?" Kama said with her eyes shadowed. "Not even aliens can resist the corruptive influence of this labyrinth for long..."
"How dare you mess with my nakama like this!" Haruhi gritted her teeth, trying to keep calm, not wanting to make more work for the espers... "Arcueid, attack!"
"Gladly!" Arc agreed, lunging at Kama with her claws- only to go right through her as if she wasn't even there! "An illusion?!"
"Like I would be stupid enough to leave myself vulnerable," Kama taunted. "But maybe next time, I'll deign to show myself in person. Until then..." She faded away, her soft laughter echoing through the chambers, the scrying-spell fading out as well.
"Suzumiya, you must calm yourself," Kiara insisted. "Losing control is exactly what that Kama wants..."
"Right, right..." Haruhi sighed, closing her eyes and sitting in a meditative position, drawing deep breaths... "There is no anger, there is only peace... there is no anger, there is only peace..."
"Hmm, I'm surprised a young lady like you knows such calming techniques," Yagyu mused.
"I think she's said that her power could go haywire if she doesn't keep control of herself," Ritsuka spoke up. "That's why she's grateful for John Smith- er, Kyon being her boyfriend..."
"Yeah..." Haruhi agreed, opening her eyes and standing up. "That's why I'm worried about him and Koizumi-kun... who knows what Kama's doing to them..."
"You must have faith, Suzumiya-san," Yagyu insisted. "For all we know, what that fiend showed us just now was a trick, another illusion to unbalance you..."
"Yeah! She could've easily faked that!" Arcueid concurred. "So don't give up, Master!"
"...Thanks, you guys," Haruhi smiled gratefully. "Okay, I'm feeling better now. On to the next floor!"
"Right! Okay!" And so the party proceeded down the nearby stairwell together...
